The focus of this article is on how the negotiations between professors and students that are part of the eLearning political process can be interpreted through the prism of game theory. The source of data for the case was a series of in-depth interviews with the professor and an analysis of the e-mail messages exchanged between the professor, the students, and management. Each round of the game represents a different combination of positions, strategies and outcomes, yet, taken as a whole, the case events suggest underlying themes that, if been identified by the two sides, could have led to different outcomes. The discussion and conclusions section outlines the rules that governed the behaviour of the actors from a game theory perspective. This case is unique and, hence, the conclusions from it are not necessarily generalizable. Management's role in the games that people play in the eLearning area is crucial in the newly emerging corporatized university. Game theory analysis is applied in this paper to a four-round negotiation process between students and their professor in the context of an eLearning case study.

This research was done because of the covid-19 pandemic. One regulation impact of this pandemic is social distance, so it disturbed the implementation of learning because students did not allowed to learn face to face in a room or at campus. They must learn from home by online learning. This regulation was not a problem for some courses, but it was not easy for practice course because students need tools and do demonstration in laboratory or workshop. This descriptive qualitative reseach was done to observed people who involved in specific teaching method course in the mechanical engineering department of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP). The key of this research are about data observation, triangulation, careful examination, then data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research result stated that; 1) there was no changes in the substance of the learning planning during covid-19, 2) the implementation of practice learning was done by fully learning during covid-19, student and lecture did communication by using whatsapp, e-mail, zoom cloud meeting, UNP’s e-learning, and others tools such as youtube, 3) the assessment of learning was done by testing and observation.

This study aims to describe the impact of the lockdown amid the COVID-19 outbreak on university students in West Java. An online survey was conducted from July 1 to July 8 2020. The structural questionnaire instrument used was the 'Google form' sent to students via WhatsApp and E-mail. A total of 231 students provided complete information regarding the survey. Simple percentage distribution is used to assess the learning status of study participants. During the lockdown period, around 70% of students were involved in e-learning. Most of the students use android phones to follow e-learning. Students have faced various problems related to anxiety depression, poor internet connectivity, and a low learning environment. Students from remote and marginalized areas, especially face significant challenges to learning during this pandemic. This study suggests targeted interventions to create positive spaces for learning among students as part of society. Strategies are urgently needed to build a sound education system during the pandemic to not interfere with student skills and productivity.

Most students are not actively concerned about curriculum activity times. However, without reminders, students will miss out on learning opportunities from the course activities. Therefore, due to the use of smartphones — which are central to people's everyday lives —, this study combined apps and the curriculum to develop a course activity notification system — Mobile Secretary of Operating Systems (MSOS) —, as a curriculum reminder tool. This tool reminds the student of the curriculum activity times anytime and anywhere, like a secretary. This study also investigates students’ preferences between three distinct reminder tools — the reminder app, e-mail notifications and online learning platform announcements — in terms of their effectiveness in accessing curriculum-related matters, and in previewing and reviewing courses. Additionally, the study examines the efficacy of the MSOS app by comparing the questionnaire results of the students who used the app and those who did not use it. From the results of the questionnaire, it is also ascertained whether those students who used MSOS consider the app to be more convenient and immediate than e-mail notifications and the online learning platform, both in giving access to curriculum-related matters and in previewing and reviewing courses.
