e-Learning has become the most important supporting tool offering independent learning style among students. The main idea of this paper is to dismantle and analyse factors that influence the acceptance of e-Learning among students in higher education.  An online questionnaire link was distributed to a sample comprising 123 respondents. Significant relationships and strength of relationship were observed between the e-Learning acceptance, quality, e-Learning self-efficacy, enjoyment, accessibility, and computer playfulness. The findings showed that all factors were positively correlated to the e-Learning system except the enjoyment of e-learning that did not affect the acceptance of e-learning. Conclusively, all factors stated were considered the main criteria in designing effective e-learning system. Future works such as embedding and integrating multimedia elements in the e-learning system will be additional attraction to learners and instructors for the effective learning style.

A new paradigm emerged in the field of education along with the development of increasingly advanced technology, namely the emergence of an electronic learning system known as e-learning. One of the e-learning media that is currently popular in Indonesia is Ruangguru online learning application that can be accessed through smartphone. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence student’s acceptance of Ruangguru application using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) method. The 5 (five) constructs of the TAM research model were used, namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude Toward Using, Actual System Use, and Behavioral Intention of Use. The data collection used is an online questionnaire with purposive sampling technique. The results show that Attitude Towards Using did not have a significant effect on Behavioral Intention of Use, meaning that the students’ attitude towards using of did not affect students' intentions in using Ruangguru application. At the same time, the relationship of Perceived Ease of Use to Perceived Usefulness is the most significant influence where the ease in using Ruangguru application makes users feel that Ruangguru application is useful.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to propose and develop an intelligent e-learning system based on advanced document management techniques at Al-Quds Open University (QOU). In this article, we focus on a case using e-mail contents as supplement educational materials at QOU. We describe how the interactive classification system based on concept hierarchy can simplify this task. This system provides the functions to index, classify, and retrieve a collection of e-mail messages based on user profiles. By automatically indexing e-mail messages using our E-mail Classification System for e-Learning, instructors and/or students can easily find their messages and find the topics. The test results of our system evaluation showed that a good classification quality has been achieved, with a precision of 77.4%, recall of 90%, and F-measure of 82.8.

The educational system across the world has immensely been affected due to outbreak of COVID-19; it forced the shut down of educational institutions, which adversely affected student fraternity across the globe. Due to its contagious nature, COVID-19 demanded containment and enforced isolation that tremendously affected personal interaction of teachers and students. In the absence of traditional classroom teaching and one-to-one interaction, computer-based learning has emerged as closest substitute for off-line teaching. Against such a backdrop, it is pertinent to examine the students’ perception and readiness about online-learning system adopted at the university level during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For the present study, the quantitative approach has been adopted and responses from 184 university students of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, India namely Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University are collected through online questionnaire. This research study was conducted during June–August 2020. The findings of the study reveal students’ positive perception towards e-learning and thus acceptance of this new learning system. It has also empirically demonstrated the significance of e-learning in the time of COVID-19 crisis. In fact, e-learning has emerged as a new way of enhancing the learning process where social media may further improve the learning output. The findings of the study will facilitate educational institutions and policy makers to take this online-learning process to the next level in a better way.

Information technology is developing very fast and is increasingly strengthened by the existence of the internet that has spread throughout the world. With the internet, the flow of information is increasingly spinning to the public and information technology applications have begun to emerge. These applications make it easy for people who use them, including e-mail, video conferences, mailing lists, chat, e-learning, and others. This paper implements an e-learning system as an Islamic mentoring in the Department of Information Engineering. The e-learning system has the potential to make the mentoring process more effective, because the interaction are wider open. Mentees can communicate with their mentors anytime via the internet. Through e-learning, mentees can continue learning even if they are not physically present at weekly mentoring meetings. Mentoring activities become very flexible because it can be adjusted to the availability of mentee time. Learning activities occur through mentee interaction with learning resources available in e-learning applications and can be accessed from the internet. This e-learning application can be used as a supporting facility of Islamic religious mentoring using conventional methods where mentoring participants meet weekly with their respective mentors. With e-learning applications on Islamic mentoring, mentees can interact with their mentors wherever and whenever they are. With the prerequisites, they are connected to the internet.

E-learning is the application of innovative ICT platforms and Internet in education to make it easier, spacious, and more efficient. Advantages of e-learning are recognized, but its impact on learning achievement and knowledge transferring are not confirmed clearly. Learning is considered the skills of students and knowledge gained through experience in the training process. Learning achievement has been defined as students' knowledge, skills and study habits in a training course and effectiveness of their application to their work. Based on previous research, this study suggested that learning achievement as a dependent variable affected by the capacity factors, such as: computer self efficacy, ease of use, perceived usefulness, face to face interaction, e-mail interaction, and social presence. Besides, knowledge transfer is also affected by learning achievement. The study result showed that 3 factors: easiness usefulness, e-mail interaction, and social presence have positive impacts on learning transferring knowledge through the e-learning system of Bach Khoa University (BKU). Based on analysis results, some managerial implications are suggested for improving the effectiveness of e-learning system at BKU.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE Assess the impact of COVID-19 on medical students’ internships in public and private institutions in Brasil, in addition to estimating the quality of the measures taken by their respective Universities in the face of the problem and the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE). METHODS A descriptive cross-sectional quantitative analysis study carried out with 317 students undergoing medical internship from March 31, 2020, to April 12, 2020. The survey was conducted through an online questionnaire using the SurveyMonkey tool with 20 questions. Interns from the fourth to the sixth year of medical schools in the country were randomly included in the study through a survey sent by Whatsapp application. Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-Square, considering p <0.05 as significant. RESULTS Four main topics were identified in the research: student demographic data; how classes and courses are being taught; the use and ease of access to personal protective equipment and the students’ fears and perspectives for the future. CONCLUSION The study clarified that although half of the students still have some degree of content and, in their majority, they are satisfied, there is still a lot of difficulty in obtaining personal protective equipment, which prevents students from returning safely to their internships.

Currently, most Indonesian universities have adopted an online academic management information system (AMIS) to provide academic and administrative service activities. This study aims to explore the relationship between the e-learning platforms and the technical system quality, and the perceived satisfaction of students. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to 286 students of a university. The questionnaire showed that there is a difference in the e-learning tools, techniques, or platforms used by the students. The results of the chi-square test show that there is no significant relationship between e-learning platform and technical system quality and also perceived satisfaction of the students. That shows the platform choices do not affect students’ perception of quality and satisfaction. However, technical system quality is significantly related to perceived student satisfaction.  Therefore, the e-learning quality should be improved in line with the innovation of a learning system during the pandemic, so that students’ satisfaction in the learning involvement increase.
