According to the results of the conducted studies of the fraction of activated zeolite from the plant of JSC "Volga Region Zeolites" of the Republic of Tatarstan with a size of 0.2 mm, it was found that the pH of the zeolite solution in dilution 1:40 was 10. At the same time, this value is maintained for 30 minutes. At the next dilution of 1:50, the hydrogen ion index decreased and was less than 10. The pH of the zeolite solution from the activated zeolite fraction with a size of 0.2 mm in dilutions of 1:30, 1:40 and 1:50 were 10.05, 10.03 and 9.85, respectively. However, 10 days after the preparation of the zeolite solution, the hydrogen ion index decreased and amounted to 9.96, 9.83 and 9.77. The addition of a zeolite solution at a dilution of 1:40 to nutrient agar reduced the germination of S. Aureus culture by 1.5 times, which opens up prospects for application in practical veterinary medicine.  Ascidian is marine invertebrates in coral reef ecosystems that produce many bioactive compounds for pharmacology. The presence of symbiotic bacteria with marine organisms is protected the host biota by producing secondary metabolites. The purpose of this study is to obtain symbiotic bacterial isolates with Herdmania momus ascidian, then to observe the antibacterial activity of these bacterial isolates against Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. Isolation and culture of the symbiotic bacteria were made on Nutrient Agar and Zobell Marine Broth media. The antibacterial screening showed that the Herdmania momus symbiotic bacteria were able to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.Keywords: ascidians, Herdmania momus, bacteria, isolation, antibacterialAbstak          Ascidian adalah avetebrata laut di ekosistem terumbu karang yang banyak menghasilkan senyawa bioaktif untuk bidang farmakologi. The article presents the results of an empirical study of the microdynamics of person perception. Stimulus images of persons from four ethnic groups — Tuvans, Russians, Kabardians and Komi, were presented to three independent groups of subjects to assess specific individual psychological characteristics, with different exposure times — 200, 1000 and 3000 ms. The subjects were Tuvans living in Kyzyl, the Republic of Tuva. For each of the evaluated qualities, the adequacy of the interpersonal assessment was calculated and its relations with such variable studies as the ethnicity and exposure time of the stimulus image were determined. The results obtained indicate a complex, non-linear relationship between the adequacy of interpersonal assessment and exposure time of the stimulus image, as well as the important role of the ethnic group of communicants in the structure of person perception.

Akar kaik-kaik (Uncaria cordata (Lour.) Merr.) adalah tumbuhan yang daunnya mengandung senyawa aktif seperti tanin, saponin dan flavonoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun akar kaik-kaik (Uncaria cordata (Lour.) Merr.) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Salmonella typhi. Ekstrak dibuat secara maserasi serbuk daun akar kaik-kaik dalam etanol 96%. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram pada media Nutrient Agar (NA) dan konsentrasi hambat minimum (KHM) ditentukan secara dilusi padat pada media NA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun akar kaik-kaik mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap S. aureus pada konsentrasi 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%dan 30% dengan diameter daya hambat berturut-turut 8,46; 10,78; 12,55; 16,67; 17,69; dan 19,35; mm dan terhadap S. typhi pada kosentrasi yang sama memberikan diameter daya hambat 7,51; 7,83; 12,08; 14,00; 15,82; dan 16,24mm. KHM ekstrak etanol daun akar kaik-kaik terhadap kedua bakteri ada pada konsentrasi 4%.

We analyze the steps of electronic dictionary creation, built on the basis of ethnolinguistic expeditions of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan. Materials were collecting in respect of ethno-cultural archaic dialect zones of Siberia, the Urals region, the Middle and Lower Volga region, densely inhabited by Tatar population. It contains the terminology (ethno-linguistic) dictionary with large amounts of live examples of the Tatar speech, collected in the expeditions. In addition, the created dictionary is associated with the electronic atlas maps of the Tatar folk dialects

ObjectivesMethicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an increasing public health concern worldwide. The objective of this study was to calculate a summary odds ratio (OR) of livestock-associated MRSA colonisation and infection in humans, and to determine specific risk factors in livestock production contributing to MRSA colonisation.MethodsWe screened PubMed and Embase for studies published from 2005 to 2019 inclusive, reporting livestock-associated (LA)-MRSA colonisation and infection among livestock workers/veterinarians, their families, and community members not regularly exposed to livestock. The primary outcome of interest was the OR of LA-MRSA colonisation comparing exposed and control groups. Quality was assessed according to the Newcastle-Ottawa quality assessment scale. A meta-analysis using a random-effects model was conducted to calculate a pooled OR. The heterogeneity in the meta-analysis was assessed using the I² method, and publication bias was evaluated using funnel plots.ResultsA total of 3490 studies were identified by the search, with 37 studies including 53 matched exposed-control groups and 14 038 participants eligible for the meta-analysis. The pooled OR for LA-MRSA among livestock workers and veterinarians is 9.80 (95% CI 6.89 to 13.95; p=0.000; I2=73.4), with no significant publication bias (Egger’s p=0.66). The OR for swine workers was highest at 15.41 (95% CI 9.24 to 25.69), followed by cattle workers (11.62, 95% CI 4.60 to 29.36), veterinarians (7.63, 95% CI 3.10 to 18.74), horse workers (7.45, 95% CI 2.39 to 23.25), livestock workers (5.86, 95% CI 1.14 to 30.16), poultry workers (5.70, 95% CI 1.70 19.11), and industrial slaughterhouse workers (4.69, 95% CI 1.10 to 20.0).ConclusionsLivestock workers, particularly swine farmers, are at significantly higher risk for LA-MRSA colonisation and subsequent infection. These results support the need for preventive practices to reduce LA-MRSA risk among those who handle and treat livestock.Trial registration numberCRD42019120403.

The study was performed to isolate and characterize some selected bacteria from skin lesion of sheep, goat and cattle of different rearing condition. Intensive and semi-intensive housing systems were considered for this study. A total of (n=60) skin wound swab and pus samples were collected for this study during the study period. Among them (n=30) samples were collected from intensive farms and (n=30) samples were collected from semi-intensive farms. Staphylococcus aureus infections were found 70% skin lesion for sheep, 30% for goat and 60% for cattle and Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections were found 5% skin lesion for sheep, 15% for goat and 15% for cattle. Semi-intensive farm animals were more infected by bacteria than intensive farm animals. Staphylococcus aureus affected 53.33% in intensive farm animal and 66.67% in semi-intensive farm animal. Pseudomonas aeruginosa affected 10% animal in intensive housing system and 13.33% in semi-intensive housing system. The organisms were isolated and characterized by morphological, cultural and biochemical characteristics and identified by polymerase chain reaction. Staphylococcus aureus produced yellowish colony in nutrient agar and golden yellow colony in mannitol salt agar. Positive isolates were produced β–hemolysis in blood agar. Pseudomonas aeruginosa produced characteristic colony in nutrient agar but not produce pigment. Pseudomonas aeruginosa produced colorless colony in MaCconkey agar, violet colony in EMB agar and produced hemolysis in blood agar. Staphylococcus aureus showed Gram positive, cocci shaped and grapes like arrangement and Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed Gram negative, short rod shaped. Staphylococcus aureus fermented five basic sugars and produced gas and Pseudomonas aeruginosa fermented dextrose and mannitol. Both organisms were catalase positive, only Pseudomonas aeruginosa was oxidase positive. Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates were further characterized by PCR amplification of toxA gene primer. Staphylococcus aureus skin infection treatment was noticed more effective by erythromycin and gentamicin and Pseudomonas aeruginosa skin infection treatment more effective by ciprofloxacin and gentamicin. Both the organisms were found to be amoxicillin resistant. This is the first and preliminary report of molecular characterization of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from skin lesion of sheep, goat and cattle associated with a different rearing condition of the animals in Bangladesh. This article analyzes the geographical lexicon circulating in the Staroshentalinsky dialect of the Erzya-Mordovian language and the toponymic nomenclature of the village of Staraya Shentala in the Shentala district of the Samara region and its surroundings. Staroshentalinsky dialect belongs to the group of Mordovian dialects of the Samara region, characterized by a significant number of lexical archaisms in particular in the geographical vocabulary. Thus, a number of geographical terms that remain to this day in the dialect of the Erzya-Mordovian population of Staraya Shentala are contained in the oldest known Mordovian lexicographic monuments - the “List of Mordovian words” from the work “Northern and Eastern Tartary” by the Dutch researcher N. Witsen, which dates back to the second half of the 17th century. Vocabulary of the Staroshentalinsky dialect of the Erzya-Mordvin language shows the greatest affinity with the dialects of Erzya and Chuvash Sura region that may indicate the historical territory of the settlement of the native Staroshentalinsky dialect speakers. The structural and comparative analysis carried out in this work has shown that, in general, the toponymic space of the village of Staraya Shentala has the most of the characteristics of the Erzya-Mordovian toponymic spaces. A number of common structural elements for the toponymic nomenclature existing in the dialect in question, with corresponding clusters in other Erzya dialects of the Samara Volga region and the Republic of Mordovia, have been identified. At the same time, a number of unique phenomena are recorded in this toponymic space: both for the Mordovian dialects of the Samara Volga region, and for the Mordovian toponymy as a whole. The deetymologized toponymic bases of the space under study probably go back to the Volga Turkic languages, some of them may be archaic Finno-Ugric toponyms.

Background: Staphylococcus aureus is a critically important human pathogen that is also an emerging concern in veterinary medicine and animal agriculture. The present study aimed to identify the prevalence of Staphylococcus aureus from dogs, pigs, and their handlers in Zaria and Kaduna, Metropolis, Kaduna State. Methods: A total of three (300) samples were obtained from the Skin, anus, and anterior nare of pigs, dogs, and hand swabs of their handlers in three (3) Communities; Buwaya, Gonin-Gora, Maraban Rido, all in Kaduna and Samaru, Zaria in Kaduna state. S. aureus was isolated and characterized using standard microbiological protocols. Results: The results revealed that one Hundred and Sixty-five (165) of the samples isolated were Staphylococcus after the samples were cultured on Mannitol Salt Agar (MSA). Ninety-five (95) were confirmed to be Staphylococcus species after the Coagulase test was carried out. Further identification of the Ninety-five (95) isolates using the Microgen Staph-ID kit results revealed that 46(48.4%) of the isolates were S. aureus, 49 (51.5%) other species of Staphylococcus that were coagulase-positive but not S. aureus, like S. Intermedius 6(6.3 %,) S. hyicus 4(4.2%). The coagulase-negative isolates consists of S.xylosus 27 (28.4%), S.chromogenes 8 (8.4 %), S. hominis 4(4.2%). Conclusion: the results of the present study calls for public health concern because of the health risk associated with colonization of individuals with Staphylococcus aureus.

The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation method from plants of three varieties Agastache aurantiaca, cultivated on the Republic of Belarus were investigated. Some morphobiometric parameters of plants 'Tango', 'Apricot Sprite' and 'Fragrant Delight' and oil yields were determined. Using the technique of gas-liquid chromatography essential oil components were identified and determined. The main components of the essential oil from 'Tango' and 'Fragrant Delight' plants were menton (~ 53 and ~ 65 v/v % respectively) and pulegon (~ 36 and ~ 25 v/v % respectively). The samples of 'Apricot' Sprite' essential oil were rich in isomentone (~ 46 v/v %) and pulegon (~ 41 v/v %). All tested essential oils contained (+)-menton and (+)-pulegon enantiomeric forms only. The antibacterial activity of dimethylsulfoxide and ethanolic essential oil solutions against Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella alony, Bacillus subtilis, Clostridium sp., Escherichia coli Hfr H, Pseudomonas aeruginosa was proved. Ethanol solutions of essential oils at the concentrations 0.001–0.1 v/v % had significant bactericidal activity. A correlation between the composition of the essential oil and their antibacterial properties was established.

Media that is often used for bacterial growth is Nutrient agar. The high price incurred for the manufacture of instant media becomes a constraint so that innovation is needed that can reduce the cost of expenditure that is looking for alternative media from materials that are easily available. One of the natural ingredients that have a source of nutrients that can be used for bacterial growth of durian seeds that have a high carbohydrate content as a source of carbon. The objective of this research was to know the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria on alternative medium of durian seed as substitution media of Nutrient agar. This research is laboratory experimental research, the sample used is durian seed with three concentrations of 200 g, 300 g, 400 g. The parameters observed were calculating total plate number and morphological form of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria growth. The results showed that the highest population on medium durian medium was the concentration of 200 g as much as 5.7 x 10-4 cfu and the lowest population at the concentration of 400 g was 3.5 x 10-3 cfu. While the population on the media Nutrient agar that is 7.7 x 10-6 cfu. Based on morphological observation of bacterial growth on durian seed medium, round shape, size 0.1 cm, white milk color, smooth surface, and convex elevation. The conclusion of this research is the growth of Staphylococcus aureus on alternative medium of durian seeds can be used as substitution media of Nutrient agar.
