The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed on live weight, carcass and giblets of broiler chickens and to determine the rate of addition of feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed which will give good results. best on live weight, carcass and broiler chicken giblets. The implementation of this research took place at the practical location of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Palangka Raya Christian University, Jalan G.S Rubay Palangka Raya. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments with 5 replications, namely A = 100% basal feed, B = 100% basal feed and 5% additional feed, C = 100% basal feed and 10% additional feed and D = feed. basal 100% and additional feed 15%. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the addition of feed with maggot and rice bran as a base ingredient in basal feed has no effect on live weight, carcass and broiler chicken giblets.

Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian prebiotik Immuno Forte dengan level berbeda terhadap berat dan persentase karkas ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Lapangan Peternakan (LLP) Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, pada tanggal 22 Agustus sampai 19 September 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan 100 ekor (DOC) ayam broiler CP 707 Strain Arbor Acres produksi PT. Charoen Pokphand. Ransum yang digunakan adalah ransum komersial R511 Hy-provite priode starterdan R512 Bravo priode finisher. Perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri dari : P0 (0 ml Immuno forte/3 l air ), P1 (0,5 ml Immuno forte/3 l air), P2 (1 ml Immuno forte/3 l air), P3 (1.5 ml Immuno forte/3 l air) dan P4 (2 ml Immuno forte/3 l air). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi berat akhir, berat karkas, persentase karkas, berat potongan karkas dan persentase potongan karkas ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan prebiotik Immuno forte belum memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap berat  karkas ayam broiler. Penambahan prebiotik immuno forte dalam air minum berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat sayap, persentase sayap dan berat punggung ayam broiler, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat hidup, berat karkas, persentase karkas, berat dada, persentase dada, berat paha, persentase paha, berat punggung dan persentase punggung ayam broiler umur 28 minggu. Prebiotics Giving Effect Immuno Forte With Different Level of Carcass Weight and Percentage Broiler Chikens Abstract. This study aimed to determine the effect of prebiotics Immuno Forte with different levels of the weight and the percentage of broiler chicken carcasses. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Field (LLP) Faculty of Agriculture, University of Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh, on August 22 to 19, 2015. This study used 100 individuals (DOC) CP 707 broilers Arbor Acres strain produced by PT. Charoen Pokphand. Rations used was a commercial ration Hy-provite R511 and R512 starter period Bravo period finisher. Treatments consisted of: P0 (0 ml Immuno Forte / 3 l water), P1 (0.5 ml Immuno Forte / 3 l water), P2 (1 ml Immuno Forte / 3 l water), P3 (1.5 ml Immuno Forte / 3 l water) and P4 (2 ml Immuno forte / 3 l water). The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The parameters observed final weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, pieces of carcass weight and the percentage of broiler chicken carcass pieces. The results showed the addition of prebiotics Immuno Forte has not been a positive influence on broiler chicken carcass weight. The addition of prebiotics immuno forte in drinking water significantly affect the weight of the wing, the percentage of the wings and heavy backs broiler chickens, but did not significantly affect live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, heavy chest, the percentage of the chest, heavy thighs, the percentage of thigh, severe back and backs percentage broilers aged 28 weeks

This research aimed to know the influence of giving a commercial ration with addition of local feed fermented with ammonium sulphate and urea and to find out the best ration on live weight, carcass weight, and giblet weight of male hybrid ducks. This research was carried out in July 2018--August 2018 in the cage of ducks, Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, Lampung University. Research material used consisted of 40 male hybrid ducks. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Data was analysed using analysis of variance at 5% level of significance. The results showed that there was no different effect of treatments on live weight (1,552--1,717 g / duck), carcass weight (805,6--1.016 g / duck), and giblet weight (106.8--118.45 g /duck) of male hybrid ducks. Blood profile and organ weights of broilers fed variously processed Mucuna seed meal were investigated.A total of 120 day old broiler chickens were used. There were 4 treatments each replicated into 3 with 10 birds per replicate in a completely randomized design(CRD). Four treatment diets were formulated.Diet1served as control containing raw Mucuna, whilediets 2, 3, and 4 had boiled Mucuna, Mucuna boiled with ankanwu and boiled Mucuna mix with enzyme, respectively added to them. The birds were allowed 7 days to get stabilized before being randomly assigned to the experimental diets that lasted for 49 days. There were no significant (P>0.05) differences in the organ weights except for intestine, spleen and lungs. The value of the intestine ranged from 4.30% (D4) to 5.20% (D2). D4 was significantly ((P<0.05) lower than D2 butcompared favourably with D1 (4.51)and D3 (4.62). Significant ((P<0.05) differences existed only in haemoglobin and mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC). The MCHC values ranged from 30.67 in D4 to 34.69% in D2. The value for D4 was significantly (P<0.05) lower than those of D1, D2, and D3 which was not significantly (P>0.05) different. The Hb and MCHC were significantly (P<0.05) affected by the processing of MSS. Total protein, albumin, urea, creatinine, globulin and alkaline phosphatase were significantly (P<0.05) affected by the processing method employed in conclusion it is observed that 5% inclusion of Mucuna either raw or processed to broiler chicken diets does, does not have any deleterious effect on them health wise since blood and organs characteristics are used to measure the health status of animal.

This study aimed to assess the effect of stocking density of 10, 12, 14, and 16 birds m?2 on performance, carcass and cut yields, productivity, and bone development of broiler chickens Cobb 500®. The experimental design was completely randomized design with four treatments (stocking densities) and four replications. The assessments were performed weekly at 1, 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42 days. The best live weight result was found at a density of 10 birds m?2 in the period from 1 to 7 days. No effect of density was observed on feed intake and weight gain. From 1 to 14 days, the best live weights were found at densities of 10, 12, and 14 birds m?2, in addition to a higher feed intake at densities of 10 and 12 birds m?2. Weight gain was better at a density of 10 birds m?2, showing no differences from densities of 12 and 14 birds m?2. In the period from 1 to 21 days, live weight and weight gain were higher at densities of 10, 12, and 14 birds m?2. The highest feed intake was observed at a density of 10 birds m?2, which showed no difference from the density of 14 birds m?2. A difference (P < 0.05) was observed for live weight, weight gain, and feed intake of animals reared at densities of 10, 12, and 14 birds m?2 for the phases from 1 to 35 days and the total phase from 1 to 42 days of bird age when compared to 16 birds m?2, which presented lower performance. However, feed conversion of 1-7, 1-14, 1-21, 1-35, and 1-42 days and carcass and cut characteristics showed no significant differences for all treatments. On the other hand, productivity was higher in the treatments with 14 and 16 birds m?2, but without difference between each other. No interaction (P > 0.05) was observed between stocking density and age for the assessed bone parameters. Similarly, no difference (P > 0.05) was observed for bone development of broiler chickens reared at different stocking densities for the studied parameters. Thus, the increased density of 10 or 12 birds m?2 to 14 birds m?2 has no influence on zootechnical performance, carcass and cut yields, and bone development, but increases broiler chicken productivity reared in a conventional shed without air conditioning.

ABSTRACT Herbal plants can be used as feed additive, on of which is the papaya plant (Carrica papaya L). The reseach was conducted on 11-27 September 2020 at street Wolter Monginsidi alley Nuri number 55, Teluk Betung North District, Bandar Lampung. This study aims to determine the effect of adding papaya leaf juice in drinking water to the performance broiler chickens. The material used was 96 broiler chickens ranging from 5-21 days of age. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments given was control drinking water without additional (P0), control drinking water + 5 ml papaya leaf juice/liter of water (P1), control drinking water + 10 ml papaya leaf juice/liter of water (P2), control drinking water + 15 ml papaya leaf juice/liter of water (P3). The result showed that the addition of papaya leaf juice up to level 1,5% did not have a significant effect on the performance of broiler chickens at weeks 1, 2, and 3. Based on the reseach result it can be concluded that the addition of papaya leaf juce in drinking water up to level 1.5% has not had a significant effect (P>0,05) on performance broiler chicken. DORA VILLA MANIK, 2018. "Effectiveness of Gambir Solution (UncariagambirRoxb) on the Performances of Broiler Chickens Infected by Escherichia coli".Supervised by MA'RUF TAFSIN and ARMYN HAKIM DAULAY. Gambir has the potential as an antibacterial which is traditionally used as a drug for diarrhea. This study examines the effectiveness of gambir solution on performance which includes feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion and income over feed cost (IOFC) in broiler chickens infected with E. coli. It was held in November - December 2017 at the Laboratory of Biology, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture University of Sumatera Utara, using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment consisted of P0A = without infection and without treatment, P0B = infection with E. coli and P1, P2, P3, respectively E. coli infection + Gambir solution 2%, 4%, 6% and P4 = E. coli + infection Tetracycline antibiotics. The results showed that the administration of gambir solution at a dose of 2% - 6% was significantly (P<0.05) effective in improving the performances of broiler chickens infected with E.coli and able to compensate for the use of commercial antibiotics in the form of tetracycline. The highest IOFC is in the 4% gambir solution.

The torch ginger (Etlingera elatior) is a herbaceous plant the flower of which is commonly used in feed to improve the quality of meat. This study was aimed at assessing the effects of giving commercial feed non-carcass portions of local ducks. The study was conducted at the Poultry Farm of Department of Animal Husbandry Djuanda University, Bogor, from June to August 2016. Twenty four 2-week-old male local ducks were used. Completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replicates was used. The treatments consisted of 100% of commercial ration (R0), commercial ration + 2.5% of TGE solution (R1), commercial ration + 5% of TGE solution (R2), and commercial ration + 7.5% of TGE solution (R3). The feeding trial lasted 6 weeks after which the ducks were slaughtered and carcass weight, dressing percentages and carcass parts were measured. The percentage of non-carcass parts including head, neck, shank, liver, heart, gizzard, feathers, blood and intestines were also measured. No significant effect of treatments (P > 0.05) on all parameters measured were found. It was concluded that the inclusion of TGE solution in commercial ration up to 7.5% did not significantly affect the live weight, weight and percentages of non-carcass parts including blood, feathers, head, neck, shank, liver, gizzard, heart, and intestines.

Abtract. The study aimed to determine the effect of different meatball enhancers on meatbel protein and to determine the effect of different meatball enhancers against meatball water content. This research was conducted in june 2018 at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of the University of Muhammadiyah Parepare. Research using broiler chicken meat, water, flavorings, garlic, pepper, salt, egg white, carrageenan, gelatin, tissue, and ice cubes. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatment levels and three replications, namely T0 = without ingreadients, T1 = crisp egg white, T2 = crustacean, T = gelatin. The results of the study showed that with the addition of pulses that the protein content of meatballs had a very real effect and water content in meatball with the addition of different ingredients that are influential real to meatball water content. The highest average protein value to the lowest is T0 is 6.52, T2 is 6.46, T1 is 6.33, T3 is 4,15. The highest average water volues to the lowest were T1 at 63.35, T0 at 63.05, T3 at 62.58, and T2 at 62.44. From the results of the study, it is known that the best treatment and can be recommended is T2 treatment with karagenan crusher.Keywords: Proteins, water content, broiler chicken meat, egg white, carrageenan, and gelatin.

This study aims to examine the effect of Moringa leaf meal on broiler chicken ration to the weight of internal organs, triglyceride levels and HDL. The material used in the study was 60 broiler chicken age 2 weeks strain CP707. The design used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with five treatments and four replications in each treatment. The five treatments are 100% commercial rations without moringa leaf meal as control and 100% commercial rations with 3%, 6%, 9% and 12% moringa leaf meal. Parameters observed included, liver weight, gizzard weight, meat triglyceride levels, and HDL levels of meat. The data obtained were analyzed by completely randomized design. If among the treatments showed significant differences, then the study will be continued by Duncan's multiple-range test. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of moringa leaf meal at level 10% in the ration is the optimal level to decrease the triglyceride of meat without disturbing the HDL content in the meat and the addition of moringa leaf meal up to 12% in the ration does not give a negative effect on the weight of internal organs. One of the efforts to fulfill the community's nutritional resources derived from animal protein is by broiler farming business. In order for broiler chickens to achieve optimal productivity then the provision of proper rations in both quality and quantity must be met, but the obstacle in improving the quality of the ration is the cost of ration is large enough. It is necessary to research the feed material that is able to meet the needs of broiler chicken one of them is the leaves kelor. This research used broiler strain CP-707 as much as 60 tail. The method used is CRD (Completely Randomized Design) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were rations with no addition of moringa flour (PO), ration with addition of 3% maize flour (P1), ration with addition of 6% maize flour (P2), ration with addition of maize flour 9% (P3), ration with the addition of 12% maize flour (P4). The variables observed in this study were carcass weight, carcass percentage and non carcass percentage. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of moringa flour on ration to 12% level on carcass weight, carcass percentage and non carcass percentage statistically show different not significant.
