Hypothyroidism in Chhattisgarh (India) is almost the second most common disease in middle aged and old aged females. First may be Diabetes / Hypertension / Arthritis / Osteoporosis. Hypothyroidism is caused due to under functioning Thyroid gland may be due to primary or secondary causes. The Etiology is still a mystery & is unknown but having strong relation with genetics as well as the environmental pollution, food habits & autoimmunity. The Thyroid gland regulates the metabolism of the body through the release of  T3, T4 hormones & have a negative feedback of TSH hormone.  A case study was conducted on 70 patients from  “Sai Kripa Clinic” Main Road Katora Talab Raipur , Chattisgarh, India. Key words: Hypothyroidism, Autoimmune Disease, Obesity, Arthritis.

Ajirna is the one of the most common disease which is originate from digestive insufficiency (Agni). Agni is one of the basic biological elements of the living body. Agnimandya is the root cause for the development of many diseases. Agni present in the Jathara which digest and metabolize the food and assist in growth of the body. All the diseases arise as a result of less, excessive and irregular digestion of food known as Mandagni, Tikshnagni or Vishamagni respectively. Agni may get disturbed by erratic lifestyle and abnormal dietetic regimen. Disturbed functions of Agni cause indigestion of food are termed as Ajirna (indigestion). Ajirna is the most important source of production of Ama and favors genesis of diseases. Arjina are described as Lakshan as well as Vyadhi. In the Ajirna, so many other conditions are described under common and specific etiological factors. Langhana, Vaman, Swedan Chikitsa was mentioned by Sushruta while treating Ajirna. According to condition of the situation and strength of the patient, this patient was successfully treated with Shaman Chikitsa like Langhan, Dipan, Pachan and Anuloman. A case study of 72 years old female patient with complaints of Kshudhamandya, Shiroshula, Urodaha, Udarshula, Asamyaka Malapravrutti, Bhramaprachiti for 5-6 months was treated with Shaman Chikitsa. A case recorded and treated in our institute. Significant results were seen in patient. Encouraging results were obtained which are presented in full paper.

Autoimmune disease is caused by our immune systems that attack our body. The autoimmune patients are treated by doctor that is specialized in neurology. The doctor will only give them some treatment to maintain the condition of the patient. Every patient has different body condition therefore the doctor treatment is different to manage each patient condition. It is important for the doctor to pay attention give different treatment to each patient depend on the autoimmune they have, and the patient condition. One of the method in monitoring patient condition is by doing frequent communication with the patient, so the body condition of patient can be controlled. In recent years, there are many kinds of technologies that the doctor can use tocommunicating with patients. One of the technology is instant messaging. The authors willconduct a descriptive research on how instant messaging can help the doctor and autoimmunepatients managing the quality of life by using questionnaire and analyzing the result.

Disturbance of the thyroid function is often detected in patients with different profiles. A special feature of patients with chronic kidney  disease is the higher incidence of various thyroid function  disturbances, especially hypothyroidism. It is known that in patients  with chronic kidney disease (CKD) iodine excretion from the body is  violated, since normally 90% of iodine is excreted in urine.  Accumulation of high concentrations of inorganic iodine leads to the  formation of the Wolf-Chaikoff effect: suppression of iodine  organization in the thyroid gland and disruption of the thyroid  hormones synthesis. Peripheral metabolism of thyroid hormones is  also disturbed, namely, deiodinase type I activity is suppressed and  peripheral conversion of T4 into T3 is inhibited (so-called low T3  syndrome). Therefore, patients with CKD are often diagnosed with  hypothyroidism, and the origin of hypothyroidism is not always  associated with the outcome of autoimmune thyroiditis. The article  presents an overview of a large number of population studies of  thyroid gland dysfunction in patients with CKD, as well as  experimental data specifying the pathogenetic mechanisms of  thyroid dysfunction in patients with CKD. Therapeutic tactics are still  not regulated. However, in a number of studies, replacement therapy with thyroid hormones in patients with CKD had some advantages.

Background: From the evidence of failed injection-based growth factor therapies, it has been proposed that a naturally triggered uninterrupted blood circulation of the growth factors would be superior. Objective: We seek to stimulate discussions and more research about the possibility of using the already available growth factors found in the prostate gland and endometrium by starting a novel educable physiology, known as biological transformations controlled by the mind. Methods: We summarized the stretch-gated ion channel mechanism of the cell membrane, and offer several practical methods that can be applied by anyone, in order to stimulate and enhance the blood circulation of the growth factors from the seminal fluid to sites throughout the body. This details the practical application of our earlier published studies about biological transformations. Results: A previously reported single-patient case study has been extended, adding more from his personal experiences continually improving this novel physiological training and extending the ideas from our earlier findings in detail. Conclusion: The biological transformation findings demonstrate the need additional research to establish the benefits of these natural therapies to repair and rejuvenate tissues affected by various chronic diseases or aging processes.

: Fluoro-edenite (FE) is an asbestos-like amphibole present in the bentonitic lavas extracted from a stone quarry in Biancavilla, a village sited in the Etnean Volcanic Area (Italy). : Thoracic pathologies are the results of excessive inflammatory processes that are the early response of the immune system to inhaled fibers. As demonstrated for asbestos, fibers may trigger immune system cells in an acute and/or chronic manner. This review aims to clarify the pathways of inflammation in workers exposed to FE fibers. : Based on the articles reviewed, it seems that a permanent stimulus created by repeatedly inhaling the FE fibers and their persistence in the body can act as trigger both in promoting inflammatory processes and in immunological induction of autoimmune disease.

Successful social reintegration is critical if we are to reduce recidivism and crime in general. This voice of people article presents a background case for why effective offender reintegration services are key in South Africa, and the Eastern Cape in particular, through an example of the Offender Reintegration programme rendered by the National Institute of Crime Prevention and Reintegration of Offenders (NICRO). Apart from the paucity of literature on offender reintegration, very few voices from people working directly with these former offenders are ever heard. Therefore, this article seeks to address this gap by contributing to the body of knowledge on offender social reintegration.

AbstractChironomids are a useful group for investigating body size responses to warming due to their high local abundance and sensitivity to environmental change. We collected specimens of six species of chironomids every 2 weeks over a 2-year period (2017–2018) from mesocosm experiments using five ponds at ambient temperature and five ponds at 4°C higher than ambient temperature. We investigated (1) wing length responses to temperature within species and between sexes using a regression analysis, (2) interspecific body size responses to test whether the body size of species influences sensitivity to warming, and (3) the correlation between emergence date and wing length. We found a significantly shorter wing length with increasing temperature in both sexes of Procladius crassinervis and Tanytarsus nemorosus, in males of Polypedilum sordens, but no significant relationship in the other three species studied. The average body size of a species affects the magnitude of the temperature-size responses in both sexes, with larger species shrinking disproportionately more with increasing temperature. There was a significant decline in wing length with emergence date across most species studied (excluding Polypedilum nubeculosum and P. sordens), indicating that individuals emerging later in the season tend to be smaller.
