AbstractBrazil is the second largest ethanol producer in the World and largest using sugarcane feedstock. Bacteria contamination is one the most important issues faced by ethanol producers that seek to increase production efficiency. Each step of production is a selection event due to the environmental and biological changes that occur. Therefore, we evaluated the influence of the selection arising from the ethanol production process on diversity and composition of Bacteria. Our objectives were to test two hypothesis, (1) that species richness will decrease during the production process and (2) that Lactic Acid Bacteria will become dominant with the advance of ethanol production due to selection. Bacterial community assemblage was accessed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing from 19 sequential samples. Temperature is of great importance in shaping microbial communities. Species richness increased between the Decanter and Must steps of the process. Low Simpson index values were recorded at the fermentation step, indicating a high dominance ofLactobacillus. Interactions betweenLactobacillusand yeast may be impairing the efficiency of industrial ethanol production.

PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) is one of the state-owned industries and manufactures engaged in the maritime sector. This company has production equipment complete enough to carry out its production of ship components. There is a problem in this machine, it can be seen by the frequency of damage that occurs to machines or equipment due to the damage so that the production target is sometimes not achieved. Another consequence caused by damage to machines or equipment is in terms of the quality of the resulting product, where products that do not comply with quality standards will be reprocessed. Increasing production efficiency at this company is to measure the effectiveness of CNC Cutting machines using the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method. The results of this study suggest that the company should pay more attention to factors of use of production time, work according to standards, operator knowledge, and maintenance of machines. By paying attention to these factors, it is expected that the company's productivity will increase and the production process will run effectively and efficiently.

This paper deals with the optimization of the production process of vibrocasted refractory products. The main goal is to make efficient and automate the production of moulds for refractory blocks. A theoretical research was followed by an expert analysis of the current state of the manufacturing process at an industrial partner. The next step was to analyze complete portfolio of refractory vibrocasted products, which results in choosing a representative sample whose dimensions most correspond to majority of the moulds produced. Subsequently, a design was done, to make the production process more effective with respect to time, technology and construction aspects, focusing on increasing productivity, reducing human labour and increasing production modernization. In the end, the design options were evaluated in terms of time and cost, and the ideal process of the manufacturing production was recommended with respect to the latest technology. It includes a solution for material composition and optimized design of moulds for vibrocasted refractory materials to increase production efficiency moulds and cost reduction while maintaining mould accuracy and quality. These products are subject to high demands in terms of material quality and precision, and at the same time costly to produce due to manual manufacturing.

Industry 4.0 collects, exchanges, and analyzes data during the production process to increase production efficiency. Internet of Things (IoT) devices are among the basic technologies used for this purpose. However, the integration of IoT technology into the industrial environment faces new security challenges that need to be addressed. This is also true for a production line. The production line is a basic element of industrial production and integrating IoT equipment allows one to streamline the production process and thus reduce costs. On the other hand, IoT integration opens the way for network cyberattacks. One possible cyberattack is the increasingly widely used distributed denial-of-service attack. This article presents a case study that demonstrates the devastating effects of a DDOS attack on a real IoT-based production line and the entire production process. The emphasis was mainly on the integration of IoT devices, which could potentially be misused to run DDoS. Next, the verification of the proposed solution is described, which proves that it is possible to use the sampled flow (sFlow) stream to detect and protect against DDoS attacks on the running production line during the production process.

Candy production processes involve many process variables. Operators often find it difficult to effectively monitor the process data, analyze current states, detect and diagnose process anomalies, and take appropriate actions to control the processes. The objective of this work is to develop an intelligent control system of candy production process to improve final candy quality and to increase production efficiency with good human-machine interfaces. The study is conducted by using virtual instrument, multi-sensor data fusion and fuzzy control technology to online detect and control typical parameters. Experiment results show that this system can reach requirements of processing accuracy and real-time property and is highly cost-efficient and practical.

A process in a company or industry will never be separated from the name of the production, production is an important part of the running of a company or industry. This research aims to provide input to the company to be able to calculate the need for future production targets based on previous production data so that the company  can  prepare  all  production  needs. Production can also be interpreted as an activity  to  increase  the  use  of  goods  and benefits  in  fulfilling  daily  activities.  In practice,  a  person  or  business  entity  that carries out production activities is called a producer. Producers produce goods to be sold to     meet     the     needs     of     others     and theirindividuals. Production activities, there is an  activity  of  processing  raw  materials  into semi-finished materials, and then proceeding from semi-finished materials to finished materials.   Therefore,   a   separate   focus   is needed to determine the amount of production, output, and input that is done. One thing that can be done is knowing up to calculating the needs of all processes to the production target. While the focus of production activities from the production system to inventory is First, forecasting is important and foremost. Second, inventory control is very important in the production system for inventory, especially in planning  the  purchase  and  delivery  of  raw materials and components. Third, the production  of  large  quantities  of  inventory items is more structured.

Introduction. In the practice of companies based on quality management, there are two main goals of its development. First of all, it is about optimizing the company in order to ensure its viability, in particular the competitiveness of products and services and increase production efficiency. And if such a goal is really in the forefront of the company, especially for the first manager, it is already promising, and such a company has a chance to implement the current quality management system. It should be noted immediately that it cannot provide a quality management system. The quality management system is a kind of structure to which appropriate decisions to improve processes and product quality should be tied. The purpose of the paper is to show the optimization of the company in order to ensure its viability, in particular the competitiveness of products and services and increase production efficiency, to demonstrate to everyone, including potential consumers, that the company can constantly produce products of a certain level of quality. Results. The quality management system contributes to the release of human potential, which guarantees the performance of public service at the highest level. Increasing the motivational potential of the company's staff is carried out in order to create a system of incentives to meet the identified motivational needs of employees. Therefore, one of the options is the process "Staff motivation", recommended by the ISO 9001 MS, which registers the needs for employee motivation and measures the satisfaction of identified needs. Conclusion. Quality management is a system of personnel management, which should be supplemented by the introduction of a number of motivational measures, because the company needs not only to have qualified specialists, but also to motivate them to effectively use their potential.
