his study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of online learning on dynamic electricity topics carried out in junior high schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. Effectiveness is seen from the completeness of learning outcomes, obstacles faced during learning, and student responses to online learning. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive with one group pre-test post-test design. The sample used in this study were 64 junior high school students in one of the state junior high schools in Lamongan Regency, East Java. The results of the research obtained were that the average completeness of student learning on dynamic electricity material with an online learning model was very low (below the minimum completeness standards), analysis of the N-Gain value gets a value of 0.23 and is categorized as low. Statistical analysis with the help of SPSS 22 shows that the sample is normally distributed and hypothesis testing shows that online learning has no effect on increasing the value of student learning outcomes. There were many obstacles during the online learning process even though solutions had been given but there were not resolved properly, one of the obstacles was the need real lab. Student response to online learning is quite positive 63%. The conclusion of this study is that online learning is not effective enough to be used at the junior high school level and improvements are still needed in terms of facilities and infrastructure.

The data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data triangulation through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study discovers that 1) to develop themselves, the teachers join MGMP activities, training, workshops, seminars, and others, 2) for scientific publications in the form of scientific papers, the teachers participate in the national level competitions and workbooks writing although, in a minimal amount, 3) for innovative work, the teachers prepare the learning standards, learning guidelines, semester exam questions, syllabus development, lesson plan development, teaching materials development, editing blueprints of Islamic religious education questions although without continuous innovation. It recommended to foster self-development, scientific publications, and work innovation, PAI teachers in junior high schools should take part in training, seminars, and workshops, both independently and held by the education offices by taking into account good management theories, namely activities designed based on needs analysis, coordination with all institutions. The implementation of activities should have precise and measured outputs. An evaluation is also needed to find out whether the self-development, scientific publications, and innovative works have achieved or not.

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of project-based learning method using mind maps in science learning for the topic of waste management and its solution to improve students’ environmental attitudes. It adopted a quasi-experimental method with the pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of the research consisted of the seventh grade students of two classes in one of the private junior high schools in Bandung Regency. The instrument used for data collection was a pretest and posttest on environmental attitudes for students, a questionnaire, and observations of environmental attitudes of the students from peer assessment, teacher’s observations in the school, and parents’ observations at home. The data were analyzed by considering the gain value with its normalization and counting the size effect. The results of the data analysis indicated that gain <g> = 0.61 for the experimental class and <g> = 0.41 for the control class, and effect size d = 0.37. These values mean that there were improvements in the students’ environmental attitudes in the school and at home after the application of project-based learning with mind maps. It is concluded that PjBL (Project-Based Learning) method using mind maps for the theme of waste and its management works effectively since it has a small effect on improving students’ environmental attitudes.

The availability of facilities has not been able to optimize the implementation of learning. This has resulted in some students not being able to take online lessons properly; about 29.4% of students have never taken online lessons so that students miss lessons that are carried out according to schedule. This study aims to develop a website-based Learning Management System to facilitate learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is included in research and development (R&D) by adopting the Alessi & Trollip development model. The subjects of this study were, among others, two media experts, two material experts, and two subject teachers in junior high schools. The data collection technique used a test based on the product developed for each research subject using the appropriate instrument. The results of the questionnaire will be analyzed descriptively using the proportion to choose the LMS product. The results of the research data that the assessment above is 88.88% of media experts, the amount of material obtained is 91.22%, and prospective users consisting of students and teachers are 91.88%, which means that the acquisition of media and subject matter to be used is 81%, which are included in the very decent or excellent category so that there is no need for revision or improvement. Thus the learning application, namely the learning management system (LMS), can be used as a tool to support the learning process during online learning activities.

This paper is motivated by the Regulation of the Governor of East Java Number 19 of 2014 about the subject of local language as a local content that is required to be taught in elementary schools/madrasah, Madura and Javanese language. In the regulation, Using language is not included as one of the local contents. Meanwhile, the Local Regulation of Banyuwangi stated that Using language should be thought in elementary schools and junior high schools since 2007. It certainly caused paradox between the Regulation of the Governor and the Local Regulation of Banyuwangi Regency. This paper highlights how Using Bayuwangi language has high language vitality and is able to accommodate with other languages (i.e. Gintangan Village, Rogojampi District, Banyuwangi). The ability of Using language to survive within the society obviously draws questions as to why the Regulation of the Governor is unable to observe from the ethics and emic point of views. The ethics point of view mostly theoretically, which is probably temporary and needed to be verified, while the emic point of view tends to be practical, historical and concrete. A compromised solution may needed to be sought, for example only languages that are truly maintained by its people and proved to have high ethnolinguistic vitality that should be preserved, while others probably should be sacrificed.
