As implementation of Tri Dharma is a Community Services. This activity is carried out directly in the field by involving the public and university lecturers together in an effort to overcome the practical application of science in a comprehensive community issues. This community service focused on the in-depth problems of Islamic studies at the Serikat Amal Baik mosque in Kelurahan Sei Kera Hilir I, precisely on Jalan Ibrahim Umar Gg. Nikmat No. 7, Medan city. Working together with the partner Badan Kemakmuran Masjid (BKM) and teachers at SDIT Zahira school, conduct “Rumah Islami” studies and perform continued of comfort supporting infrastructure improvement activities as part of the worship of Islam by Zahira SDIT teachers joining together the surrounding communities. This community service activities that have been carried out concluded that the targets and outcomes achieved by seeing the enthusiasm of the participants in the Islamic spiritual education development framework on an ongoing basis.

Abstract: When boarding schools are faced with community service, some of them are not willing to accept it. Survey of BPPM Maslakul Huda Islamic School, in collaboration with the P3M Jakarta concluded that three (25%) of the 12 pesantrens in Central Java do not receive community service. It is an irony, because pesantren was born and raised from the public. One of pesantrens that was born from community service is PP DawarBoyolali. PP Dawar proved that pesantren had a great contribution to the community. This study wanted to uncover the devotion PP Dawar to community, both in religious and economic empowerment, as well as the main reason of PP Dawar in performing community service. The method used in this study was a qualitative research method using case study design. Based on the research, it was found that PP Dawar was a community-based boarding school which had done community services by performing routine religious activities such as routine verses recitation, recitals of Qur’an for the orphans, and also serving  the demand of societies that need Islamic teachers and religion teachers graduating from PP. DawarBoyolali. PP Dawar also helped the economy of the surrounding communities, by providing cheap labors, helping traditional broom and cracker home industry, and organizing donations to 500 orphans. The ideas or thoughts underlying PP Dawar’sdevotion are a sense of sincerity, an implementation on the religious science, a spirit of self-reliance, and a promotion for PP Dawar Boyolali itself. الملخص: عندما تُوجّه البسانترينات إلى وجود الخدمة الإجتماعية، كان بعضها لم يقبلها. دلّت الدراسة المسحية التي قام بها BPPM بسانترين "مسلك الهدى " بالاشتراك مع P3M جاكرتا على أن 3 أو (%25) من 12 بسانترين في أنحاء جاوة الوسطى لم تقبل الخدمة الإجتماعية. وهذا مؤسف، لأن بسانترين هو مؤسسة تربوية توّلدت وتطوّرت في المجتمع. ومن البسانترينات الذي تولّد من المجتمع هو معهد "داوار " بويولالي جاوة الوسطى. دلّ هذا المعهد على أن بسانترين له دور فعّال واسهام كبير في المجتمع . سيكشف هذا البحث عن الخدمة الإجتماعية التي قام بها هذا المعهد في المجال الديني ومجال ترقية الجانب الإقتصادي والأسباب الدافعة له في القيام بهذه الخدمة. سلك هذا البحث منهج البحث الكيفي بنوع دراسة حالة. دلّت نتائج البحث على أن معهد " داوار " هو البسانترين المؤسس على المجتمع ويقوم بالخدمة الإجتماعية في شكل المحاضرات الدينية المكثّفة، والمحاضرات الدينية في مناسبة " Yatiman”   وإرسال الدعاة والأساتذة للجهات المحتاجة إليهم وهم متخرّجو معهد "داوار" نفسه. ولهذا المعهد اسهام اقتصادي في المجتمع المحيط به بإعداد العمّال بأجرة رخيصة (صناعة منزلية) كصناعة المكنسات والأطعمة الإندونيسية وكفالة الأيتام (  500يتيم ) . والأسس الفكرية لهذه الخدمة – التي قام بها المعهد داوار - هي الإخلاص ونشر العلوم الدينية وروح الإعتماد على النفس والدعايات والتعريف بالمعهد.   Abstrak: Ketika pesantren dihadapkan dengan pengabdian masyarakat, beberapa pesantren belum dapat menerima. Survey BPPM Pesantren Maslakul Huda, bekerja sama dengan P3M Jakarta menyimpulkan bahwa 3 (25%) dari 12 pesantren se-Jawa Tengah tidak menerima pengabdian masyarakat. Sungguh ironis, karena pesantren merupakan pendidikan yang lahir dan besar dari masyarakat. Salah satu pesantren yang lahir dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah PP Dawar Boyolali, PP Dawar membuktikan bahwa peran pesantren sangat besar dalam berkontribusi di tengah masyarakat. Penelitian ini ingin mengungkap pengabdian PP Dawar, baik dalam keagamaan maupun pemberdayaan ekonomi, serta alasan utama PP Dawar melakukan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan studi kasus. Berdasarkan penelitian, ditemukan bukti bahwa PP Dawar adalah pesantren berbasis masyarakat, yaitu dengan melaksanakan pengabdian keagamaan seperti pengajian rutin, pengajian yatiman, juga melayani permintaan masyarakat yang membutuhkan ustadz atau guru agama lulusan PP Dawar Boyolali. PP Dawarjuga ikut membantu ekonomi masyarakat sekitar, yaitu menyediakan tenaga murah, membantu home industry pembuatan sapu, krupuk, dan menyelenggarakan santunan 500 anak yatim. Pemikiran yang mendasari Pengabdian PP Dawar adalah rasa keikhlasan, mengamalkan ilmu agama, semangat kemandirian, dan promosi bagi PP Dawar Boyolali.

Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) was declared a pandemic (a disease whose spread has spread throughout the world) by WHO on March 9, 2020. This disease can be transmitted to everyone regardless of age and has a very detrimental impact both in the health and economic fields. Cempedak Lobang Village is one of the villages in Serdang Bedagai Regency which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the precautions that can be taken to reduce the spread of Covid-19 is the application of physical distancing and maintaining hand hygiene through the use of a hand sanitizer. However, the availability of hand sanitizers has become scarce and very expensive so that it is difficult for the public to reach. In addition, there is a lack of compliance and public awareness of the importance of implementing physical distancing, using masks and maintaining personal hygiene, so it is feared that the spread of the virus will become more widespread. This community service is beneficial in providing one solution and alternative to the community of this village in solving health problems that are currently endemic. The team will disseminate and educate on how to prevent Covid-19 infection. Hand sanitizers provided with formulas according to WHO standards and prepared by the community services team as well as educating on how to use and manufacture them so that they can stimulate the community to make their hand sanitizers.

Underage marriages are marriages that occur where a man or woman who has not reached the age required by applicable law, that is, if the male has reached the age of 19 and the woman has reached the age of 16. The purpose of community service activities is to provide socialization and understanding to the public about the impact of early marriage in terms of legal, health and education aspects. This activity can also improve knowledge competence, skills, community motivation, and play a role in the formation of a prosperous family village development team. Data collection techniques carried out by interview, observation and document analysis. The results of this community service show the enthusiasm of the community to attend a series of activities, and the active role of the community is quite good. Improved understanding of the community is divided into 3 categories, namely, the village prosperous village development team, health development and Education development. Activities carried out continuously and continuously have a positive impact on community growth and development.

Abstract This article based on the reality of development in West Aceh. West Aceh is currently being intensively undertaken development on various sectors, one of them in the education sector. This article aims to examine how development opportunities and challenges are in the education sector, why is development in the education sector important?, also to examine what and how the role of academics in development of education sector ?. Research method used in this article is literature review. The approach is Improvement Approach and Tranformation Approach. The result of the research shows that the role of academics is considered very important to advance education in Barsela region, especially West Aceh. The role of academic can be shown through the implementation of tri darma of higher education; education, research and community service. Academics have an important role to change the mindset of society interested in continuing higher education. In additio, academics and government must synergize in conducting development programs, especially in education. Education is the spearhead of development, higher education as an arena of development transformation has a big chance, but has many challenges, one of the public interest towards universities is still considered less and people still have the mindset that universities need is expensive. This research is motivated by the high number of accidents in Indonesia caused by several factors, including difficulty in contacting emergency services, ignorance of the public to contact emergency services, and not knowing the location of emergency services. For this reason, this research has carried out the design and development of mobile applications for the public to contact Android-based emergency services. The application development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which is suitable for short development times and according to needs. In this RAD method consists of four stages, namely the stages of planning needs, designing, construction and also implementation. This study produces a mobile application for community service based on android which aims to enable the public to contact community services quickly and accurately.

Abstract The resource investment and flexibility necessary to support the development of collective agency among autonomous organizational actors can be substantial. Public agencies, with their rigid budget cycles and regulatory burdens, often struggle with providing the resources needed to forge this type of system building to address complex community issues. Community foundations, as anchor institutions in communities, exhibit financial and social power, flexibility, and a reputation for broad community interests that position them to be such conveners. Framing our examination with structuration theory, we conducted a longitudinal mixed methods action research project from Fall 2015 to Spring 2019 to document how a community foundation dislodged schemas and convened a purpose-oriented network to forge collective agency. Data collection included surveying 40 system providers before the launching of the network and 49 providers three years later, interviews with 10 network participants and field observations of 21 network meetings. Network analysis was employed to examine the changes to the system while qualitative methods were used to analyze the processes behind those changes. The implications of this study are that emphasizing the resources and processes that contribute to building collective action broadens perspectives about which organizations may be well suited to convening networks in the public sphere.

The aims of this study is to explain how the application of community service for the education of defending the country in the Sealift Command North Jakarta. The sub focus of this research are: 1) the organizational structure of Sealift Command North Jakarta, 2) the culture of Sealift Command North Jakarta in providing community services, and the capital found in Sealift Command in providing services to thesociety. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method and uses quota samples. The research population was the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) in Sealift Command North Jakarta who were in charge of providing services to the public in their state defense education. The data obtained based on observations, interviews, questionnaires, and then analyzed by triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the organizational structure formed was headed by a Commander of Sealift Command. The Commander is assisted by the Sealift Chief of Staff and there are 5 assistants to assist the C.O. The community service is carried out by the Maritime Potential Assistant and the Head of the Information Office who provide information in the form of direction and services to the people who visit Sealift Command North Jakarta. In order for the services to be delivered well, Kolinlamil adhered to the Navy's Doctrine of Discipline, Honorary and Hierarchy. In addition, Kolinlamil carried out an inventory of his capital in an effort to provide good service to the community were carried out by the Potential Maritime Sealift Commander Assistant (Aspotmar) who is domiciled and is responsible to the C.O of Kolinlamil. Community service by lecturers and academics who have qualified knowledge can be done to the public at any level, to provide solutions to problems faced with the aim of future improvement. The purpose of community service activities in the playgroup & kindergarten Little Bee House with the concept of "Home me" with the target participants is the POMG committee (Association of Parents and Teachers) in overcoming the problem of organizing documentation of activities that have been carried out both in hard form files and soft files and recording of financial statements in an accountable and consistent manner. Activities in the implementation of community service with the theme Towards Bookkeeping Accountably and Consistently. Dedication activities carried out by the S1 Accounting Study Program of Pamulang University lecturers on October 13-15, 2019 were welcomed by the headmaster of Little Bee House and parents involved in the management of POMG. By using counseling and mentoring methods, this activity is very effective in the form of time and material reception, besides being held indoors, this activity is also carried out in outdoor locations to absorb knowledge more quickly and have more enthusiasm. With the bookkeeping applied so far manually and the average education level of the POMG management is strata 1 level, proving that they need a sustainable mentor. The response of the participants was very good and happy because it was very helpful in learning about managing the accounting and recording of financial accounting in an accountable manner. This activity is expected to provide inspiration and motivation for future lecturers/researchers who will carry out the same/similar and sustainable activities, the knowledge provided can benefit the community, academics, and subsequent writers.

Lecturers are responsible for implementing the three main responsibilities in university (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi) with 12 credits to 16 credits each semester. However, many lecturers feel that the workload is very excessive. The purpose of this study was to describe the mental workload of lecturers at the Faculty of X Padjadjaran University. The method of this research was quantitative descriptive by using a total sampling technique involving 43 lecturers. Data collection used NASA-TLX instruments. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that overall the mental workload of the Faculty of X Padjadjaran University lecturers was included in the high category both in education and teaching assignments (74.4%), research assignments (76.7%), and community service assignments (74.4%). ) Effort dimensions have the highest mean value that is equal to 51.8, while the dimensions that have the lowest mean are Perfomance dimension, namely 9.4, where the greater the mean dimension shows the large contribution in the mental workload felt by the lecturer. The conclusions, this study show that most lecturers have a high mental workload. It is suggested that the lecturers need to have balance numbers of tasks according to their abilities, balance the time working with recreation, and meet the needs of rest. The results of this study need to be followed up by examining methods or efforts that can reduce the lecturers' mental workload.
