Background: Communication, Information and Education (IEC) of nutrition for school children can shape children's eating habits from an early age in order to achieve a better individual situation in the future. Comics are able to display simple stories and writing in colloquial so that they are easy to understand. Research Methods. This is a quasi experimental study with control group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were taken with a simple random sample of 60 students who were divided into two groups, the first group was given education with comic Isi Piringku and the second group was given education without comic Isi Piringku. The carbohydrate and protein intake data in two groups were analyzed using the paired t-test. Research Result. The analysis showed that the highest protein intake enhancement occurred in the treatment group with a delta of 16.7 g, while the control group was 6.2 points. The carbohydrate intake before treatment was 191,9 g and increased after given comic Isi  Piringku by 193,4 g. The results of different test showed that there were significant differences in the enhancement of protein intake before and after the provision of nutrition education between the control group and the treatment group with  p value <0.05, carbohydrate intake was not significantly different before and after treatment.

Diabetes mellitus is a disease that required good self-management. Noncompliance in diet and meal plans cause the instability of blood glucose levels. Nutrition education calendar method can improve knowledge and ability to consume food that matches the number, hours and types with dietary adjustments listed in the calendar diet. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education calendar method on blood glucose levels of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Community Health Center Pakis Malang. Pre-experimental design one group pretest-posttest with purposive sampling was conducted in this study and sample obtained as many as 21 people. Blood glucose levels were measured before and after the nutrition education calendar methods. Compliance in using calendar method with the observation sheet. Statistical analysis values obtained by Wilcoxon, the p-value of 0.007 (p <0.05). The results of the analysis, 16 respondents showed a decrease in blood glucose levels and 5 respondents experienced an increase in blood glucose levels after the given intervention. It can be concluded that there are differences between blood glucose levels before and after nutrition education calendar method. Differences in blood glucose levels can be influenced by controlling diet respondent in accordance with the calendar method in education, but also antidiabetic drugs, and sports. Should be added to the control group to determine objectively the effect of nutrition education on the calendar method.

HIV, AIDS and nutrition are interconnected. In the HIV Integrated Care Unit of Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Public Hospital, nutrition education and counseling services are provided within a collaborative service for people living with HIV (PLWH). This study aimed to determine influence of nutrition education and counseling to knowledge and behavior of PLWH. This study was conducted with quasi experimental design using treatment and control groups. The treatment group consisted of 25 samples and 29 samples for control group. Samples were adults between 18 – 50 years old selected by applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. A pretested questionnaire was used to assess knowledge. Paired t-test sample was used to analyze data. This study was conducted on May – July 2014. Based on results of this study, there was effect in form of knowledge change (p value = 0.000) with score 6.38 point lower on the control group and any significant differences in behavior change (p value = 0.048) for the treatment group after receiving nutrition education and counseling. This study shows that nutrition and counseling using media of education which is more complete and continuously provided may improve knowledge and change behavior of PLWH.Perubahan Pengetahuan dan Perilaku Orang yang Hidup dengan HIVmelalui Konseling dan Edukasi GiziHIV, AIDS, dan gizi saling berhubungan. Pada Unit Pelayanan Terpadu HIV Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Nasional Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, layanan edukasi dan konseling gizi disediakan secara kolaboratif untuk orang yang hidup dengan HIV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan dan konseling gizi terhadap pengetahuan dan perilaku orang yang hidup dengan HIV. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan desain kuasi eksperimental menggunakan kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Kelompok perlakuan terdiri dari 25 sampel dan 29 sampel untuk kelompok kontrol, dilakukan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Sampel berusia dewasa antara 18 – 50 tahun dipilih dengan menerapkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Sampel uji-t berpasangan digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei – Juli 2014. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa adanya efek berupa perubahan pengetahuan (nilai p = 0,000) dengan nilai 6,38 poin lebih rendah pada kelompok kontrol dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam perubahan perilaku (nilai p = 0,048) untuk kelompok perlakuan setelah menerima edukasi dan konseling gizi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi dan konseling gizi menggunakan media edukasi yang lebih lengkap dan diberikan secara berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mengubah perilaku orang yang hidup dengan HIV.

School children are the most rapid growth period after toddlers. Knowledge of nutrition plays an important role in determining the degree of public health. So to increase knowledge, nutrition counseling is needed with interesting media, one of them is flashcard. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of nutritional counseling using flashcard media on the knowledge of the general message of balanced nutrition in fifth grade students of SDN Cikoneng 1 and SDN H. Agus Salim. The research design used was quasi experiment with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The study was conducted on fifth grade students of Cikoneng 1 Elementary School as a treatment group, amounting to 23 people and SDN H. Agus Salim as a control group of 46 people. The sampling technique is total sampling. Counseling was carried out for 30 minutes then given flashcard games in the treatment group and the control group using leaflets. Analysis of the data used is the t-Dependent test and Man Whitney test. The results of the study in the treatment and control groups showed significant differences in the value of knowledge before and after counseling with each p value (p = 0,000). Flashcard media is more effective in increasing knowledge in students (p = 0,000). Schools are expected to be able to forward the flashcard media and disseminate information about the General Message of Balanced Nutrition. Introduction: Every woman who undergo Sectio Caesaria (SC) surgery for delivery their babies often complain about pain after the surgery and it become very distrubing. The effect of the pain cause mobilisation limitation, interrupting bonding attachment between mother and child, and postponning breastfeeding inititation. This study conduct EFT or tapping as the pain management in women post SC surgery.The aim of this study is to identify the effect of EFT or tapping for reducing pain after SC surgery. Methods: Quasy experimental with pre-post non randomized control group design was used in this study. The data been colleted using Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) to measure the pain in participants before and after EFT or tapping treatment. The number of participants was 30 mothers with 15 women in control and treatment group respectively. The t-test was used to analize the effect of the EFT. Results: The mean of pain scale before treatment in control group was 5.20 dan 6.20 for the treatment group. The pain scale after treatment in control group was 5.00 and 4.27 in treatment group. There was a significant difference between the reducing pain scale in treatment group with p value = 0,000 (α = 0.05). Discussion: EFT or tapping can be one of many non farmacologic treatment as complementer therapy to reduce pain after SC surgery. Keywords: post SC pain, EFT, pain scale decline, non farmacologic therapy

Background: Older people is vulnerable to COVID-19 relates to presence of co-morbidities diseases and low immunity.Undernutrition condition making them prone to anemia (low hemoglobin/Hb) and low lymphocyte level will brings a higher risk for COVID-19 infection. Objective: To assess the effect of potato almond orange cookies on weight, Hb, and lymphocyte levels of undernourished older people amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This 3-week randomized controlled trial involved 48 subjects > 60 years, divided randomly into treatment group (potato almond orange cookies) and control group (potato almond cookies). Lymphocyte and Hb collected before and after the study. Both groups received nutrition education. Analysis was performed using independent t-test and paired t-test. Results: Weight gained in the treatment group (0.7 kg) was significantly different from the control group (p=0.002), with 0.3 point change observed in the BMI of the treatment group. Changes were also seen in vitamin C intake in treatment group (+10.3 mg, p = 0.03) and vitamin E intake in both groups (+4.6 mcg, p = 0.001 and +2.9 mcg, p = 0.001, respectively), but not for inter-group. Weight, Hb and lymphocyte level increased in both groups, with the highest weight increased in the treatment group while the highest Hb increased in the control group. The lymphocyte increased 1 point in both groups. Weight, Hb and lymphocyte level differences were insignificant between the two groups. Conclusion: Potato almond orange consumption tend to increase weight, Hb and lymphocyte level in undernourished older people during COVID-19 pandemic.

Objective: To prove the success of supportive psychotherapy thatwas provided as a distress therapy on advanced cervical cancer.Knowing the prevalence of distress type of depression in patientwith epithelial cervical cancer, proving the benefits of psychotherapysupportive for distress can decreasing cortisol level in cervicalcancer patient, can assess distress thermometer score, HAM-D17score and scoring incident predictors of distress with depressiontype.Methods: There were 32 subjects from 71 advanced cervical cancerpatients had mild-moderate depression. Then randomizationblocking was performed to determine a subject who entered thetreatment group (n = 16) who got supportive psychotherapy orcontrol group who got common psychotherapy (n = 16). All ofparticipants assessed the distress level with cortisol value, distressthermometer score, and HAM-D17 score before and after they gotsupportive psychotherapy.Results: After the intervention of psychotherapy in the treatmentgroup decreased HAM-D17 score, the average decline 7.53 (SB 3.34).The mean decreasing in the control group was 3.98 (SB 2.85). Thereis a significant difference in mean reduction in HAM-D17 scores ontreatment and control groups with p = 0.003 (p <0.005). There wasdecreasing blood cortisol level in the treatment group amounted to39.43, while the control group there was a drop of 1.59. The reductionof cortisol level in the treatment group and the control has a pvalue0.302. After got supportive psychotherapy, found a decreasingthe average value of the thermometer distress in the treatmentgroup 3.02 and the control group 2.51, with a p value more than0.492.Conclusion: There were 45% of cervical cancer patients in the clinicexperiencing distress disorder with depressive type. The bloodcortisol level could be decreased by giving supportive psychotherapywith a mean decrease of 39.43 nmol/l. There was a significantreduction in the level of depression (HAM-D17 score) of 7.53 pointsand distress thermometer impairment by 3 points after givensupportive psychotherapy. Background: Consumption of vegetables and fruit among school age children is still low due to lack of knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit. Nutrition education can be provided to increase knowledge and attitudes as early as possible. Nutrition education using puzzle media is expected to increase knowledge and form a positive attitude about vegetable and fruit consumption.Objective: To determine the effect of nutrition education using puzzle media towards knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit in elementary school children.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. Fourty elementary school children were divided into two groups. The treatment group received nutrition education using puzzle media and a control group received nutrition education without puzzle media. Knowledge and attitudes were assessed before and after the study based on scores. Data were analyzed using Paired T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test.Results: The average score od knowledge in the treatment group increase by 18.25 points and the control group scre increased by 12.25 points. The mean score of attitudes in the treatment group increased by 14.45 points and the control group (p=0.014) and the attitude scores between the treatment group and the control group (p=0.003)Conclusion: Nutrition education using puzzle media can increase knowledge and attitudes about vegetables and fruit in elementary school children.Keywords: Nutrition education; Puzzle media; Vegetable and fruit; Knowledge; Attitude.

The effect of the drink can cause changes in the resilience of the wire which is usually due to carbonated drinks or probiotics Carbonated beverage is a daily drinks with carbonic acid and has pH of 2.32. Carbonated beverage with lower pH may cause the releasing of nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr) ions on stainless steel orthodontic wire in oral cavity and result in alteration of resilience. Purpose: The aim of this research is to know the change of resilience of stainless steel removable orthodontic wire before and after immersion with ,probiotic,carbonated beverages and saline solution. Material and methods: This study is true experimental study using pre and post test with control group design, consist of 9  treatment groups and  control groups were obtained from preliminary test, each group using stainless steel ortodontic wire with the diameter is 0.6 mm and given a scratch along the wire then perform the resilience before and after the immersion using a UTM. Each sample was immersed and put in an incubator at 37oC for the first 4 days then measured with a UTM device then soaked again for the next 4 days and measured again. Research result: The results showed that there were differences in the resilience of the wires on day 0 and day 4 when immersed in carbonated drinks (p = 0.047) compared to soaking saliva and probiotics. Then z-spring stainless steel orthodontic wire soaked in probiotic obtained p value = 0.038. This shows that there is a difference in the resilience of the 8th day compared to the 0th day.Conclusion: Results Soaking stainless steel orthodontic wire changes its resilience. There was a significant difference between day 4 and day 8 for the wire soaked in carbonated drinks (p = 0.001). there is no significant difference in the wire soaked with probiotic drinks.

Abstract Background: Baby Spa is a series of stimulation of growth and development of children by combining baby gym services, baby swimming and baby massage. In the Kedungmundu District Health Center, it was found that the incidence of infants who had poor nutrition were 6 babies, malnutrition were 3 infants and those who suffered from growth disorder were 15 infants. Objective: This research was aimed to find out the influence of baby spa techniques on motor development and increase in baby's weight. Method: this study used Quasi Experiment method with Pre and Post test with control group design, data analysis used Dependent T Test and Independent T test. Results: There were differences in motor development before and after the treatment, it obtained p Value of 0.001in the treatment group and p value of 0.041 in the control group. There were differences in infant weight gain before and after baby spa (P Value 0,000) in the treatment group and no difference increase in baby’s weight (P Value 0.061) in the control group, there is the influence of giving Baby Spa techniques and baby massage to baby’s motor development in the two groups (P Value 0.021), there is the influence of Baby Spa techniques and baby massage on baby’s weight in the second group (P Value 0.04). Conclusions: There are differences in motor development and increase of baby weight in both groups, and there are effects of Baby Spa techniques and baby massage on motor development and baby’s weight increase in baby aged 4-12 months in each group.   Keywords : Baby Spa, Motor Development, and increasing of baby’s weight   Abstract Baby spa merupakan rangkaian stimulasi tumbuh kembang anak dengan memadukan layanan senam bayi (baby gym), berenang (baby swim) dan pijat bayi (baby massage). The Aim Of Research : Mengetahui pengaruh tekhnik baby spa terhadap perkembangan motorik dan kenaikan berat badan bayi. Research Methode : Jenis penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimental design dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan pretest - posttest with control group design. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah bayi usia 4 – 12 bulan yang berjumlah 30 bayi. Analisa data menggunakan dependent sample t – test. The Result : Ada pengaruh pemberian teknik baby spa pada kelompok perlakuan dan pijat bayi pada kelompok kontrol terhadap perkembangan motorik bayi dengan hasil nilai P value 0,021 dan ada pengaruh pemberian teknik baby spa pada kelompok perlakuan dan pijat bayi pada kelompok control terhadap kenaikan berat badan bayi dengan hasil nilai P value 0,04. ABSTRAKLatar Belakang : Hipertensi adalah The Silent Disease sehingga seseorang tidak akan mengetahui jika dirinya menderita hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi. Meningkatnya tekanan darah sistolik lebih besar dari 120 mmHg dan diastolik lebih besar dari 80 mmHg pada dua kali pengukuran dengan selang waktu 5 menit dalam keadaan cukup istirahat disebut dengan Hipertensi, Hal tersebut timbul karena adanya banyak faktor interaksi resiko yang dimiliki seseorang. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas buah mengkudu dalam menurunkan hipertensi. Metode : Pencarian artikel nasional ini dilakukan dengan basis data seperti google scohlar. Dengan kata kunci: “hipertensi”.”ekstrak buah mengkudu”. Dan penulis menemukan 7 artikel yang relevan 2014-2018. masing-masing mewakili efektivitas buah mengkudu terhadap penurunan hipertensi terhadap semua sampel.  Hasil  : Tujuh artikel yang di dapat, Menunjukkan hasil uji statistik  p Value 0,015 (p<0,05). berarti ada pengaruh antara tekanan darah siastolik maupun diastolik penderita hipertensi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan air perasan buah mengkudu. Kesimpulan : tekanan darah pada kelompok perlakuan sesudah intervensi buah mengkudu mengalami penurunan tekanan darah dibandingkan dengan kelompok control, efektivitas buah mengkudu ialah salah satu pengobatan non farmakologis.Kata kunci: Hipertensi, Ekstrak Buah MengkuduTHE EFFECTIVENESS OF NONI FRUIT (MORINDA CITRIFOLIA L.)    TO REDUCE HYPERTENSIONABSTRACTBackground : Hypertension is The Silent Disease so that a person will not know if he has hypertension or high blood pressure. This arises because there are many risk interaction factors that a person has. Objective : This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of noni fruit in reducing hypertension. Methods : This national article search was carried out using databases such as Google Scohlar. With keywords: "hypertension", "noni fruit extract". And the author found 7 relevant articles 2014-2018. each represents the effectiveness of noni fruit in reducing hypertension in all samples. Results : Seven articles were obtained, showing the results of the statistical test p Value of 0.015 (p <0.05). This means that there is an influence between systolic and diastolic blood pressure in patients with hypertension before and after being given noni juice. Conclusion : blood pressure in the treatment group after the noni fruit intervention decreased blood pressure compared to the control group, the effectiveness of noni fruit is one of the non-pharmacological treatments.Keywords: Hypertension, Mengkudu Fruit Extract.
