Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the factors associated with the fear of falling after discharge in older adults who had surgery for fall fractures. Methods: The participants were 143 older adults aged 65 or older hospitalized at the General Hospital due to a fall fracture. Data were collected from July 2019 to June 2020 using questionnaires for activities of daily living, pain, depression, and fear of falling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression. Results: The average age of the subjects was 75.34±6.89 years, and 74.1% were women. The influencing factors on the fear of falling after discharge were activities of daily living (β=.31, p=.001), age (β=.20, p=.004), the need for walking aids or assistance in walking before the fall (β=.20, p=.005), and pain (β=.15, p=.027). Total explained variance was 55% (F=13.17, p<.001).Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to actively intervene the fear of falling once older adults are hospitalized, considering the factors associated with the fear of falling after discharge in older adults who had surgery after experiencing a fall fracture and to develop an educational program to reduce the fear of falling.

This research adopts the questionnaire survey method and selects 208 freshmen from the Guangxi Arts University as the research objects. The research studies the English self-efficacy and mobile learning situation of art college students and understands students’ views on using mobile devices/platform to assist in their learning of the English language. Results found that all students have mobile phones which allow teachers and students to use them for English learning. Besides, most art college students have a low sense of English self-efficacy, including low self-confidence, low enthusiasm in English learning, and average level of solving English learning difficulties. In addition, more than half of the students agree with the use of mobile devices/platforms to assist in English learning. Only a small number of people oppose it. This finding lays a preliminary foundation for later empirical research on using mobile learning to cultivate the English self-efficacy of art students.

Ethics has become a part of many Information Technology (IT) and business classes at colleges and universities. However, the way of teaching IT ethical behavior is sometimes non-effective. Yet, many current ethical issues related to emerging technologies such as big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not considered at all. The paper aims to explore relationships between students’ demographics and inclination towards unethical behavior. The study presents results of a multinational survey conducted with convenience samples of college students at public universities in seven countries from Europe, Africa and North America between October 2017 and January 2018. The survey instrument contained items reporting on perceived importance of IT ethics issues, personal experience with them, and several demographics questions. Data analysis is done with descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA and F-tests. We conclude that nationality, gender, degree year, computer skills and perception of the importance of IT ethics are significantly related with behavior. Perceptions and behavior of students evolve with the rapid pace of technology, which should be a major concern both for educators and business managers as they would recruit prospective employees from the current students.
