Islamic economics pedagogically is a system of knowledge that studies economic problems. The implementation of this system applies Islamic law. As a prototype system that has its own characteristics, Islamic economics is applied based on the Qur'an, As-Sunnah, Ijtima', and Ijtihad/Qiyas. Its implementation is carried out following the principles; (1) Tawhid and Brotherhood, (2) Work and Productivity; and (3) Fair Distribution of Wealth. The objective of sharia economics is to meet the basic needs of mankind based on Islamic values. Islamic economics is not only a practical system, but also a pedagogical system of knowledge that contributes to knowledge and enlightenment of the economic system. The main challenge of the Islamic economic system lies in its epistemological and terminological problems which are still interpreted as mere normative doctrines of the Islamic religion. The Islamic economic system in today's contemporary era must be able to interpret its existence as a science that becomes a humanist alternative for the inequalities of the failed global economic system and is able to establish the system as a pedagogic.

The implementation ofthe capitalist system has eliminated the Islamic values in economic practice. After the financial crisis hit the world, the capitalist system reaped many questions and its greatnessbegins to be doubted. The capitalist system implementationprecisely creates new problems in the economy. The concept of individualism which is the main key in capitalist practice only creates economic injustice and misery of the poor. The only economic theory that is expected as a light in dealing with economic problems is an economic system that is able to create justice, the welfare of all parties and blessings both the world and the hereafter. The theory is the Islamic economics which in practice is inseparable from Islamiceconomic law. Islamic economic law that underlies the Islamic economic system is totally different from the capitalist economic system. Keywords: Islamic Economic Law; Islamic economics; Capitalist Economy

Allah has given the guidance in the form of Islam for Muslim to take and lead all the aspects of life including the economic activity. The Islamic economic system is believed to be the answer of the economic problems that exist at this time. The goal is to achieve falah in kaffah by not doing some economic activities that are in violation as prescribed by Islam. For example is riba. Discourse on riba can be said "classical" both in the development of Islamic thought and in Islamic civilization because riba often occurs in all aspects of public life, especially economic transactions (in Islam called muamalah). Riba is an additional retrieval, either in a sale and purchase transaction or lending in a false or contrary to the principle of muamalah in Islam. Prohibition of riba is obtained from various sources by the Qur'an and Hadith Rasulullah SAW, so the scholars firmly and clearly defined the prohibition of riba because there are exploitative elements that can harm the others. So, this study is aimed to identif yIslamic economic system and the prohibition of riba in historical perspective. From the results of this study is expected to be a good reference for the reader to understand the Islamic economic system and riba in the future.Saran sitasi: Budiantoro, R., Sasmita, R., & Widiastuti, T. This article discusses the issue of brotherhood in Islamic economic system. The goal of Islamic economics is to create advantages (falâh}) for all economic man. To achieve this goal, Muslim economists have agreed to set up the philosophical pillars of Islamic economic system which consists of tawhîd, ‘ibâdah, khilâfah, and ukhuwwah. One of the important challenges to deal with is how to place the idea of brotherhood as a pillar of Islamic economic system that is applicable in economic activities which then lead to equal advantages. Muslim economists argue that Islamic economic system has led economic man to possess altruistic personality. This is not only related to the problem of consumption but also to that of production. In addition, the distribution of wealth specific in Islamic economic system has resulted in brotherhood. The spirit of brotherhood has inspired the effort of distributing wealth economically and non-economically towards shared advantages. Specific wealth distribution in Islamic economics is by placing human as economic being and social being alike. Therefore, brotherhood is implemented in market and non-market economic activities. The implementation of brotherhood is not only in the form of cooperative but more than that is to be oriented to efforts of empowering economic man.

Abstract Studying the science of ushul fiqh in the traditions of Islamic campuses and pesantren is significant for the discovery and formation of Islamic economic law. Even ushul fiqh was made a compulsory subject that must be mastered by Islamic economic law experts today. However, studying ushul fiqh on campus and Islamic boarding schools is trapped in a conservative paradigm, where studying ushul fiqh is limited to something that is consumptive, read and memorized, without contextualization and application. In fact, ushul fiqh must be presented in the midst of Islamic economic in a logical and realistic way, even ushul fiqh as the primary commodity of Muslim economic law experts in the methodology of istinbat al-hukm must touch the economic problems faced by contemporary society. That is the challenge of Islamic economics law experts in studying ushul fiqh today. This paper, how to explain the activities of Muslim economic law experts in studying and understanding ushul fiqh with a descriptive-qualitative research approach model. So what is studied in this paper is the paradigm of thinking in a community of Muslim economists in studying and developing ushul fiqh, when faced with socio-economic problems that require the juridists of Islamic law in the frame of religious texts. From the results of this discussion it can be seen that the ushul fiqh for Islamic economic jurists in the development and dynamics model of ushul fiqh is centered on; revitalization of ushul fiqh, text diversification (fahm nushus asy-shari'ah) and extensification of maqashid as-shari'ah, namely expansion in understanding the purpose of sharia (fahm maqashid as-shari'ah). Besides that, Islamic economic law experts can use the method of ushul fiqh as tariqatu al a'mal, (work patterns), first, making maslahah as a tool in establishing Islamic economic law. Second, it is like matching the fatwa of ulama's law, with the current situation and condition. Third, carry out the operation of Usul Fikih in the formation Islamic economic law as a deductive method. And fourth, complete with Qawaid al-Fiqhiyyah.
