This study aims to describe students' difficulties in solving numerical patterns in the context of the Toba Batak ethnic culture after the implementation of the Realistics Mathematic Education Approach in the context of the Toba Batak Tribe Culture. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII Junior High School (SMP) totaling 32 people. The data collection tool used in this study is a test that totals ten questions in the form of a description. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques are carried out by tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that students had difficulty determining the sequence of numbers, determining the configuration of a sequence of numbers, determining the arithmetic series, determining the number of n first arithmetic series terms, determining the first term n row geometry, and determine the number of n first terms of the geometry series. The causal factor is that students are not able to distinguish the general formula concept of a sequence and the concept of configuration patterns from a sequence of numbers, operating error calculations and not understanding integer ranks.

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to describe students' difficulties in solving problem solving problems in Algebra and Trigonometry courses. Subjects in this study were students of the Mathematics Education Faculty of Unika Santo Thomas Faculty of Teaching and Education study program in North Sumatra in semester 1 of the 2017-2018 school year, totaling 10 people. The data collection tool used in this study was a test of 5 questions in the form of a description. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques are carried out by tests, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students had difficulty using the concept of equality and inequality squared, the use of the concepts of trigonometric formulas. Students also have difficulties in using number sequence principles and completing trigonometric equation solving, difficulties in disclosing information from problem solving and calculation errors. The contributing factor is the existence of several concepts and principles of algebra and trigonometry that are used in solving problems that have not been well controlled by students and are less thorough in performing calculations.Keywords: Analysis of Learning Difficulties, Algebra and Trigonometry

Yustina (2014). Improving Learning Motivation of Students in XI-B1 SMK-PP Negeri Saree through Realistic Mathematics Education. This study aims to analyse the improvemet of students’ motivation and to describe the activities of students during Math class using realistic mathematics education. This study is classroom action reasearch. It was conducted in XI-B1 SMK-PP Negeri Saree school year 2013/2014 within 22 pupils that were consisted of 13 boys and 9 girls. This study was done in two cycles. The result of study in cycle I showed that only 4 students (18%) achieved the comprehensiveness. On the other hand, in cycle II, 20 students (91%) completed the target grade. The enhancement of students’ motivation can be seen from students’ comment from one through five statements. In the first statement, 12 students (55%) responded strongly agree with the learning process, 8 students (36%) agree, and 2 students (9%) concerned doubtful. Second statement showed that 14 students (64%) were strongly agree with the learning approachment, 6 students (27%) were agree, and only 2 students (9%) were doubtful. From statement 3, 6 students (27%) responded with strongly agree, 2 students (9%) agree, 4 students (14%) doubthful and 2 students (9%) responded not agree. In the fourth statement, 11 students (50%) said strongly agree with the lesson taught, 10 students (46%) commented agree, and only one student (4%) was doubtful. Statement five, indicated that 11 students (50%) stated strongly agree with the class and the other 11 students (50%) voted agree. Based on study data analysis result, it can be concluded that the implementation of realistic mathematic education is able to improve students’ motivation in class XI-B1 of SMK-PP Negeri Saree. The Subject

This study aims to develop Canva as a learning medium with the main subject of economics, namely consumer households for class VIII SMP. The approach used is research and development (R%D). The research method taken is Mixed methods design. The subjects in this study were students of SMP Pondok Pesantren Tholabie Malang. Data collection techniques used by researchers are observations and questionnaires. Canva is developed using the ADDIE development model that has been modified by researchers. The results showed that the Canva learning video media was feasible to be used and applied in economic learning with the subject matter of consumer households for class VIII SMP Pondok Pesantren Tholabie. The researcher uses descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques and shows the assessment of media experts (4.75) with proper and valid categories. This assessment is based on the presentation of material, language, and graphics in writing. In the assessment of material experts (5.0) with a very valid and very feasible category. This assessment is based on the presentation of the material, language, and graphics in writing the content of the material. The researcher also received a response from students of 77% which could be categorized as worthy. The results of these student responses are distributed to obtain results and measure the validity and achievement of students. In this study, researchers were only able to retrieve data online online using the google form as a data collection tool, this was due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the PPKM. The result of data analysis that has been owned by the researcher shows that the percentage level is in a feasible and valid category, this means that Canva's learning video media is effective for use in Tholabie Islamic Boarding School Junior High School.

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis realistic mathematics education dan pendidikan karakter pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar yang memenuhi kriteria efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan mengadopsi prosedur ADDIE yaitu analisis (analysis), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation) dan evaluasi (evaluation). Efektifitas LKPD diujicobakan kepada 28 orang peserta didik kelas VIII E SMP N 15 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD termasuk dalam kategori sangat efektif dengan skor rata-rata 4,25 dengan pencapaian efektifitas : (1) aktivitas peserta didik dengan skor rata-rata 4,48; (2) aktivitas pendidik dengan skor rata-rata 4,71; (3) respon peserta didik dengan skor rata-rata 4,23; (4) hasil belajar peserta didik dengan skor rata-rata 4,18 dan presentase ketuntasan minimal 85,71%.Kata kunci : Efektifitas, Lembar Kerja Peserta didik (LKPD), Realistic Mathematics Education, Pendidikan Karakter AbstractThis research aims to produce student worksheet based on realistic mathematics education and character education on polyhedron material that is effective. This research was a developmental research (Research and Development) by adopting ADDIE procedure which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The effectiveness of LKPD was tested on twenty eight students of class VIII E.  The result showed that Student Worksheet based on Realistic Mathematics Education and Character Education on polyhedron material for junior high school grade VIII was very effective with an average score 4,25 with achievement of effectiveness : (1) activity of students with an average score 4,48; (2) activity of teacher with an average score 4,71; (3) the response of students with an average score 4,23; (4) the learning outcomes of students effective with an average score 4,18 and a minimum percentage of 85,71% mastery.Keywords : Effectiveness, Student Worksheet (LKPD), Realistic Mathematics Education, Character Education

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui proses bimbingan keagamaan, fungsi bimbingan keagamaan serta hasil bimbingan keagamaan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari. Dengan pertanyaan penelitian 1) Bagaimana proses bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?, 2) Bagaiamana fungsi bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?, 3) Bagaimana hasil bimbingan keagamaan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dikarenakan masalah yang diteliti perlu dilukiskan secara sistematis dan faktual dengan menggambarkan keadaan atau status fenomena. Hasil bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN adalah munculnya aspek-aspek kecerdasan spiritual pada remaja seperti kesadaran untuk menghayati proses ibadah bukan sebagai pengguguran kewajiban, terbiasa berperilaku baik, memiliki prinsip keadilan, memiliki prinsip kebenaran, mampu mengambil hikmah dari musibah yang dihadapinya, bersikap fleksibel, bersikap kritis dan merenungkan penyebab serta alasan segala sesuatu terjadi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding Schoool SMK PPN memiliki peranan yang sangat menunjang dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja. The purpose of this study is to find out how the proccess of islamic guidance, function of islamic guidance, and result of islamic guidance to increase SpritualQuetiont in adolescence. With research questions 1) How the proccess of islamic guidance to increase spiritual quetiont on adolescence ?, 2) What is the function of islamic guidance to increase Spiritual Quetiont on adolescence?, 3) How are the results of islamic guidance to increase Spiritual Quetiont on adolescence?. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive approach with subject and object of research is guidancer. While the data collection tool in this study through observation, direct interview and written interviews. From the results of research conducted at Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari, it appears of Spiritual Quetiont in adolescents. Such as the behavior of living the worship process, get used to behave well, be fair, be wise, able to take lessons from the difficulties they experienced, be flexible, be critical. So, we can conclude that islamic Guidance has a very supportive role in increasing adolescent Spiritual Quetiont.

Based on experience and reflection multiplication of fractions learning at fifth class SDN 33 VII Koto Padang Pariaman district. Student learning outcomes is still low and the learning undertaken by teachers arenot using realistic problem to beginning of learning. So the author through this research trying to improve student learning outcomes in subjects multiplication of fractions. The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation and learning outcomes. This research is action research (class action research), this study used a qualitative and quantitative approach. Learning is used by using the realistic mathematics education approach. After doing research hence an increase in student learning outcomes in multiplication of fractions lesson using realistic mathematics education approach. It can be seen, both from the ability of teachers in designing learning from 83% up to 94%, implementation of learning increased 94% from 77%, and learning outcomes increased to 86,87 from 74,04.

ABSTRACTThisi study was aimed at to constructed the actual issues of national resilience ini thei developmenti of educational content of civici educationi as a description of knowledge about the actual issue of citizenship in the national resilience studies asi thei content of civici educationi in school.The research used qualitative descriptive approach. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the average poetry writing skills in students with the application of the Mind Mapping Learning model, the average poetry writing skills in students with the application of the Learning Learning Model.The theory used in this research is a mind mapping learning model and writing poetry. The method used is an experimental method with a form of research Quasi Experimental Design. The design used is the Two-Group pretest-Posttest Only. The population in this study is class VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C while the samples are Class VIII A and VIII B. Data collection techniques used are direct observation techniques, measurement techniques, and documentation techniques as well as data collection tools namely guidelines or observation sheets poetry skills tests and documents.The results of data analysis show that the average pre-test experimental class with a total score of 69.38 while the post-test 76.38 and the pre-test control class with a total score of 60.96 while the post-test 66.88 and there is influence with evidence scores 1.13 and 1.28.The results of this study are expected to be useful for readers, especially Indonesian Language teachers in Lumar 1 Junior High School, Bengkayang Regency, students and subsequent researchers who use mind mapping learning object models. For teachers this mind mapping learning model can be used as a reference for teaching in class, especially in learning to write poetry. Keywords: Mind Mapping, Writing Poetry

Intersection and union concepts are crucial part of operation in sets, especially in solving word problems and creating the venn diagram. In fact, not a few students do fallacies in representing sets word problems into a sets operation, so they do mistakes in solving the problems. This study aims to investigate students’ thinking in learning intersection and union concept, specifically by using colored cards. The learning is designed under Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and the principle used is emergent modeling. The method used in this study is design research. The subjects of this study is 25 students of the 7th grade junior high school, in which five of them were the focused group. The main findings in this study are description of students’ thinking while learning union and intersection using colored cards in the class, and any kinds of students’ ‘diagram venn’models. Keywords: design research, intersection, realistic mathematics education, union, venn diagram
