ஒரு மனிதனை வளம் உள்ளவனாக மாற்றுவதற்குப் போடுகின்ற மூலதனந்தான் கல்வி. கல்விக்கு இடப்படுகின்ற மூலதனம் மனிதர்களை வளமுள்ளவர்களாக மாற்றி, அவர்களை ஆற்றல் உள்ளவர்களாகவும் தனி வருமானத்தையும் வாழ்க்கைத்தரத்தையும் நாட்டின் வருமானத்தை உயர்த்தி பிறகு நாட்டையே உலகில் முன்னணியில் நிறுத்துவது என்கின்ற அடிப்படையில்தான் கல்விக்காக அரசாங்கம் இத்தனை கல்வி நிறுவனங்களையும் உருவாக்கி இலட்சக்கணக்கான பணியிடங்களையும் உருவாக்கி ஆசிரியர்களை நியமனம் செய்து கோடிக்கணக்கான ரூபாயைச் செலவிட்டுக் கொண்டுருக்கிறது. அப்படிச் செலவிடுகின்ற இந்தப் பணத்திற்கு நாம் நல்ல பலனை உருவாக்கியாக வேண்டும். இந்த நோக்கத்திற்காகவே இந்த ஆய்வுக்கட்டுரை தூண்டுதலில் மாறுபாட்டினை ஏற்படுத்தி இதன் மூலம் மாணவர்களின் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்து அவர்களின் தேர்ச்சியில் மேம்பாடு அடையச் செய்வதை அடிப்படைக் குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இந்த ஆய்வில் தூண்டுதலில் மாறுபாடு என்பது தனித்த காரணியாகவும் மாணவர்கள் மேம்பாடு என்பது சார்புக் காரணியாகவும் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த ஆய்வில் ஒந்றைக் குழு ஆய்வுச் சோதனை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதற்காக ஒரு வகுப்பில் 50 மாணவர்களை மாதிரிகளாகத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து 7 பிரிவுகளாகச் சோதனைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆய்வுக்கான தகவலைப் பெறவேண்டி தூண்டுதலில் மாறுபாடு மற்றும் மாணவர்களின் மேம்பாடு பற்றிய தகவல் தொகுப்பை உருவாக்கி அவற்றைத் தர்ப்படுத்தி மதிப்பீடு செய்து ஆய்வுக்காலமான ஆறு வாரங்களும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆய்வுக்கு முன் நடத்திய சோதனைத் தேர்விலும் ஆய்வுக்குப்பின் நடத்திய சோதனைத் தேர்விலும் பெறப்பட்ட புள்ளியியல் தகவல்களைத் தொகுத்து, பகுப்பாய்வு செய்து ஆராய்ந்ததில் தூண்டுதலில் மாறுபாடு ஏற்படுவதன் மூலம் மாணவர்களின் கவனத்தைக் கூட்டி அவர்களை மேம்பாடு அடையச் செய்யலாம் என்பது ஆய்வு முடிவின் மூலம் உறுதியாகியுள்ளது. (The present article highlights the stimulus variation techniques on enhancing the students attention. In this study stimulus variation is the independent variable and enhancing student’s attention and academic achievement are the dependent variables. Based on some advantages of experimental research, the study has adopted single group experimental design for the present investigation. This study consists of seven experimentation phases. 30 X – standart students were taken as a sample. Two tools were developed and validated to assess the stimulus variation, students attention and achievement. The tools were administered throughout the experimental period of 6 weeks. The data for stimulus variation, attention and achievement on pre and post-tests were collected and computed for statistical analysis. The findings revealed that there was significant mean difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group and there was on enhancing student’s attention as well as in their academic achievement due to the application of stimulus variation techniques. )

Abstrak Tingginya angka infertilitas pada pria disebabkan antara lain oleh kualitas produksi spermatozoa dan gangguan hormonal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh gangguan tidur terhadap kadar hormon testosteron dan jumlah spermatozoa. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen laboratorium dengan desain post test only control groupdesign. Populasi tikus jantan Wistar berumur 2-3 bulan, dan berat badan 300 – 350 gr. Sampel sebanyak 24 ekor dibagi atas 4 kelompok yaitu: 1 kelompok kontrol dan 3 kelompok perlakuan. Variabel independen adalah gangguan tidur dan variabel dependen adalah kadar hormon testosteron dan jumlah spermatozoa. Analisa data mengunakan metode ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji statistik Multiple Comparisons jenis Bonferroni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan bermakna rerata kadar hormon testosteron kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan dengan nilaip=0,000. Gangguan tidur memberikan perbedaan bermakna terhadap kadar hormon testosteron. Terdapat perbedaan bermakna rerata jumlah spermatozoa kelompok kontrol dengan perlakuan dengan nilai p=0.000. Gangguan tidur juga memberikan perbedaan bermakna terhadap jumlah spermatozoa. Kesimpulan penelitian ini ialah terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna antara gangguan tidur terhadap kadar hormon testosteron dan jumlah spermatozoa pada tikus jantan wistar. Kata kunci: gangguan tidur, hormon testosteron, jumlah spermatozoaAbstract The increasing of infertility is caused by the quality of sperm production and hormonal disturbance. The objective of this study was to find out the effect of sleeping disturbance to the quality of testosterone hormone and the number of sperm. This was a laboratory experimental research with post-test only control group design. The populations were 2-3 months, 300-350 grams of weight, male rats. The sample was 24 rats which consisted of 4 groups: one control group and three experimental groups. Sleeping disturbance was an independent variable, whilethe quality of sperm testosterone hormone and the number of sperm were dependent variables. The data of the research were analyzed statistically by  ANOVA method and Bonferroni multiple comparison. There was a significant different of the mean of testosterone hormone quality between control group and experimental group with p=0,000. Sleeping disturbance gave significant different to the quality of testosterone hormone. There was a significant different on the number of sperm quality between control group and experimental group with p=0,000. Sleeping disturbancegave significant different to the number of sperm quality. The conclusion from this study is that there is effect of sleeping disturbance to testosterone hormone quality and the number of sperm on the wistar male rats. The purpose of the research was to investigatethe effect of activity-based games on the academic achievement of graduate-level pupils in social sciences.An experimental research design with a pre-and post-test control group was used in this study. As pre-test and post-test, MCQ achievement tests containing 70 items were used as research methods for data collecting. The initial stage in this initiative was to collect data on what inspires children to learn. Both groups took a pre-test, and the results were tallied.The project's second phase was to study the effects of variousactivities on academic achievement. Both groups were given an MCQ performance test. The T-test was used to analyze the data. The findings of this study demonstrated that, compared to the control group, mostpupils'marks improved in the experimental group. The mean value showedthat experimental group participants scored 18.77on the post-test, while control group students scored 16.21. According to a post-lesson poll, most students regarded activity-based games to be more engaging than lecture-based instruction.

Technology can be a powerful tool for transforming learning. To be a successful teacher one should be learner always and should have the mind to comprehend and design new methodologies in their transaction process. ELearning courseware is an effective model of teaching and learning framework that can enhance academic achievement of students. In this research, E-Learning courseware is developed for B.Ed curriculum and the effectiveness of E-Learning courseware is studied on academic achievement of Prospective teachers studying B.Ed course. 80 students studying B.Ed. course are selected as sample by convenient sampling method. 40 of which are assigned in the experimental group and 40 in the control group. Experimental Group is subjected to E-Learning courseware and the Control group is subjected to Conventional method of teaching, Pre-test – Post Test non-equivalent groups design is used for the study. Achievement test developed and validated by the researcher is administered to measure the academic achievement of the prospective teachers as pre-test and post-test. Effectiveness of E-Learning courseware is studied on academic achievement of Prospective teachers studying B.Ed course. In the analysis of data, t-test and descriptive analysis were used. Results showed that there is significant effect of ELearning courseware in enhancing the academic achievement of Prospective Teachers. This research opens new avenues in teaching learning process which can empower students.

The researchers aimed to find out the effectiveness of Scie-chain method on students’ academic achievement and attitude in managing large classes in Science 10 of Flora National High School.  Specifically, it identified the difference and effect to the academic achievement of students and students’ attitude towards Science of the traditional method and Scie-chain method of teaching. The researchers employed the two-group pretest- posttest quasi-experimental design which made use of the Scie-chain method (Inquiry-based, ICT utilization, and flock system) in the experimental group. The data were analyzed with the use of weighted mean. Results of the study showed thatoriginally the experimental group and the control group are equal in terms ofacademic achievement and attitude towards Science. After the intervention, the experimental group yielded better result in terms of academic achievement and attitude towards Science as Manifested in the difference in their post test. From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn:1. students exposed to the Scie-chain method attained better academic achievement compared to students exposed to traditional teaching method; the intervention (Scie-chain method) enhanced the level of attitude of students towards Science; and the Scie-chain method is an effective strategy to manage large classes.

Background: Obesity remains the main malnutritional problem globally. One of the contributing factors is the imbalance diet eating behavior. This study aimed to analyze the effect of balanced diet education with media comic on modification of eating behavior in adolescents at middle school, Malang, East Java. Subjects and Method: A randomized control trial study was conducted at Middle School, Malang, East Java, in November 2018. A sample of 64 students was randomized into two groups: (1) Experiment group that received diet education using media comic, and (2) Control group that received no intervention. The dependent variables were knowledge, attitude, and skill of eating behavior. The independent variable was diet education using media comic. The data were analyzed by independent t-test. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group had higher mean of knowledge (Mean= 92.72; SD= 10.78), attitude (Mean= 83.23; SD= 18.13), and skill (Mean= 78.79; SD= 16.94) than the control group, including knowledge (Mean= 88.68; SD= 11.47), attitude (Mean= 87.60; SD= 8.60), and skill (Mean= 79.94; SD= 14.31), and it was statistically insignificant in each outcomes, (p= 0.151), (p= 0.223), and (p= 0.770) respectively. Conclusion: Diet education with media comic is effective in improving knowledge, attitude, and skill of eating behavior in students, but it is not statistically significant. This study is a quasi experimental study that aims to determine the effect of using direct instruction model with animation media to the academic achievement of physiscs in student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Batu Layar. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Batu Layar that were 87 students. Whereas the students of class VIIIA which are 22 students as the experimental group and 22 students of class VIIIC as a control group. Sampling methode was random cluster sampling. The Research design using pre-test - post-test control group design. Based on Pre-test result, the average mark of class VIIIA and class VIIIC were 24.70 and 28.95, respectively. Post-test result gave the information that the average mark of class VIIIA and class VIIIC were 79.29 and 71.62 respectively. Research hypotesis was analyzed using polled varians t-test. It can be concluded that there was a different in physics academic achievement between experimental group and control group, where the experimental group using direct  instruction model with animation media as the treatment and the control group using direct instruction only. The academic achievement of experimental group were better than control group, it can be a reason to say that the treatment by using direct instruction model with animation media gave the positive effect to the academic achievement of physiscs in student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Batu Layar.

The outcome-based learning is leading and has set a new trend in innovative class-room instructions.  In Chemistry, the solid-state structures and composite materials are covered in classroom due to its use in day to day life. In this paper attempt is made to present novel handmade model as a tool that provides a desired link between the unit cell representation and extended structure. This model offers visualization stacking pattern that provides simple- unit cell, body- centered and face -centered cubic and hexagonal closed packed cell. Preparing and using molecular handmade model in Teaching-Learning is significant and has a positive impact on academic achievement.  The students handmade models acts as a tool for teaching and it has considerable importance in Science education. Totally 40 students of Grade 12 are selected as the sample for the present study.  Students are divided into two sets - experimental group and control group.  Each group consists of 20 students.  Students of the experimental group are asked to make handmade model of unit cells.  This handmade model of cells and pieces combines into three corresponding crystal shapes and through this students are taught about the primitive cell of solid state. The control group is taught by using traditional chalk and talk method.  The present study is experimental in nature.  The pre-test and post-test equivalent group design is used for collecting data.  The mean deviation and difference of mean are computed for both groups.  The significant differences of both the experimental and the control group based on the variables of pre-test and post-test are tested at 0.05 level by applying t-test. On the completion of statistical analysis of data and research it is concluded that the handmade model of the primitive cells of solid state unit of Chemistry has significant positive effect on the academic achievement of the students in Chemistry at Senior Secondary School level.  Based on the findings it is recommended that teachers should use outcome based Teaching-Learning approach to move up student’s achievement in core subjects.

Teaching programs based on contemporary learning-teaching approaches have been regulated since the 2005-2006 academic year in Turkey. Nevertheless, the researches conducted in Turkey suggested that teachers mostly use traditional teaching-learning approaches in their classroom activities. Therefore, this research aimed at enhancing the students’ academic achievement through the use of argumentation and scenario based learning approaches among the contemporary teaching-learning approaches in order to guide teachers. Experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used in the present research. This research was conducted with 45 fourth grade primary school students. The research was conducted with two experimental groups and one control group. Activities related to argumentation-based teaching were administered to the experimental group 1, activities with scenario-based learning method for the experimental group 2, and those of the existing curriculum for the control group. The research deployed an academic achievement test based on the unit of "Let’s Solve the Riddle of Our Body". Independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and covariance analysis (ANCOVA) were used during data analysis. Research results revealed that the academic achievement of the students was significantly influenced by the activities related to argumentation-based teaching and scenario-based learning method.

Abstract: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of study skills training on the qualitative academic achievement of girl high school students. This study was conducted by using an experimental design with pretest, posttest, and follow-up with the control group. The participants were 32 students from girl high school students of Tehran which were selected by cluster random sampling from girl high schools and then randomly assigned into control and experimental groups (Each group consisted of 16 students). The instruments used were Dortaj Qualitative Academic Achievement Questionnaire and Motevalli Study Skills Training Module. The experimental group received 8 sessions of psycho-educational group therapy and the control group did not receive any training. Two-way repeated-measures ANOVA was utilized for the analysis of data. Results revealed that there was a significant increase in qualitative academic achievement between pretest with post-test and follow-up among the experimental group. Moreover, there was a significant increase in qualitative academic achievement between post-test and follow-up in the experimental group with the control group. Additionally, the results showed that there is a significant increase in self-efficacy, planning, and motivation and also a significant decrease in emotional effects and lack of outcome control. In conclusion, the results of this study indicated that on the basis of deficit theory using learning and study skills training can lead to enhance student's skills to improve qualitative academic achievement. Further studies are required to examine whether exposing students to study skills training programs can lead them to enhance their qualitative academic achievement.   Keyword: Motivation Study Skills Training, Planning, Qualitative Academic Achievement, Self-efficacy.

Recent research has shown that the flipped model had a great success in higher education. Yet, there are very limited experimental studies that prove its effects on EFL students’ academic achievement in Moroccan higher education. The central objective of this paper is to investigate the effectiveness of the flipped model in an EFL Phonology course and its effect on students’ academic achievement. The sample was composed of 156 participants (n=156) of two intact groups of EFL phonology course at two Moroccan higher education institutions. In a semester-long study, the phonology course was taught using the flipped model. Working with the existing intact classrooms made the study adopt a quasi-experiment design.  The teacher inverted the course by offering lectures via videos for students to view at home using the free online platform Edpuzzle and then followed up by providing activities and more practice in the classroom. Quantitative data were gathered using self-designed achievement test as a pre-test and post-test for both control and experimental groups. The results revealed a significant increase in the participants’ academic achievement in the experimental group in comparison to the control group.
