This research aim to increase students’ critical thinking skill by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). This research is class room action research which use the quantitative approach. Subject of the research is VIII grade students’ and object of the research is students’ critical thinking skill in SMPN 5 Narmada. The instrument of the research is the critical thingking skill test. The data collection technique in this research is test and observation sheet, the test is used to measure the critical thingking skill whether the observation sheet is used to measure students’ and teacher activity. The result of research shows that the application of Contxtual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach can increase students’ critical thinking skill. This can be seen from the data analysis result where the I cyrcle reach 49,91 and the II cyrcle reach 80,00 which involve in critical category.

<p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study aims to determine the interaction/influence of the application of the project based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model in improving Critical Thinking Skill and student Interpersonal Skill. This research is in the form of quantitative research and the sample used in this study is one class taken using Saturated Sampling techniques. The research class was treated using a project-based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model. The independent variable in this study is a project based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model, while the dependent variable is Critical Thinking Skill and student Interpersonal Skill. There are 2 kinds of data analysis techniques, namely data analysis techniques about Critical Thinking Skills and data analysis techniques about student Interpersonal Skills. The analysis of the hypothesis test of this study used the T-Test with a significance level of 5%. T-Test Criteria are as follows, Ho is accepted / H1 is rejected if T count is smaller than T table and Ho is rejected / H1 is accepted if T count is greater than T table. From the results of the TT-test for the first dependent variable Critical Thinking Skill T count = 18.77 and T table = 1.782, because T count is greater than T table, Ho1 is rejected, meaning that there is interaction/influence on the implementation of project based Double Loop Problem Solving learning model in improving Critical Thinking Skill. While the results of the T test for the Interpersonal Skill dependent variable obtained T count = 12.33 with T table = 1.782, because T count is greater than T table, Ho2 is rejected, meaning that there is interaction / influence on the application of Double Loop Problem Solving based learning models to improve Student Interpersonal Skills.</p><p class="AbstractEnglish"><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi/pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran <em>Double Loop Problem Solving </em>berbasis<em> project</em> dalam meningkatkan <em>Critical Thinking Skill</em> dan <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> mahasiswa. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian kuantitatif dan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah satu kelas yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Sampling Jenuh. Kelas penelitian diberi  perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran <em>Double Loop Problem Solving </em>berbasis<em> project</em>. Adapun variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran <em>Double Loop Problem Solving </em>berbasis<em> project</em>, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah <em>Critical Thinking Skill</em> dan <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data ada 2 macam yaitu teknik analisa data tentang <em>Critical Thinking Skill</em> dan teknik analisa data tentang <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> mahasiswa. Analisis uji hipotesis penelitian ini menggunakan  Uji-T dengan taraf signifikan 5 %. Kriteria Uji-T adalah sebagai berikut, Ho diterima/H1 ditolak jika T hitung lebih kecil dari T tabel dan Ho ditolak/H1 diterima jika T hitung lebih besar dari T tabel. Dari hasil uji T untuk variabel terikat pertama <em>Critical Thinking Skill</em> diperoleh T hitung = 18,77 dan T tabel = 1,782, karena T hitung lebih besar dari T tabel maka Ho<sub>1</sub> ditolak, artinya terdapat interaksi/pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran <em>Double Loop Problem Solving</em> berbasis <em>project </em>dalam meningkatkan <em>Critical Thinking Skill.</em> Sedangkan hasil uji T untuk variabel terikat <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> diperoleh T hitung = 12,33 dengan T tabel = 1,782, karena T hitung lebih besar dari T tabel maka Ho<sub>2</sub> ditolak, artinya terdapat interaksi/pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran <em>Double Loop Problem Solving</em> berbasis <em>project </em>dalam meningkatkan <em>Interpersonal Skill</em> mahasiswa.</p>

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning materials with the PBL-SETS method. They were developed with the 4D model. This research is pre-experimental used one group pretest and posttest design. Data collection methods used validation, observation, and test. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample T-test. The learning materials have a very valid category and it can be used to improve critical thinking skills. The average critical thinking post-test score is 84 with an N-Gain of 0.7 which categorize as medium, while the overall student completeness reached 87%. The results of data analysis show that t-count = -21,967 and t-table = 1,693 (at df 32 and the significance level of 0.05). Research shows that the use of PBL with the SETS method affects increasing critical thinking skills. The responses of students towards learning by 88% (very good). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that learning materials of the PBL model with the SETS method can improve the students’ critical thinking skill on fluid dynamic topic. PBL with SETS learning is expected to be able to make students more actively in the process of problem solving directly so that students are easier to develop critical thinking skill. From the indicator of critical thinking skills, students can more easily understand the concept and develop their critical thinking skill.

AbstrakKemampuan pemecahan masalah tidak lepas dari kegiatan belajar mengajar pada umumnya karena keberhasilan seseorang terhadap sesuatu yang dihadapi tidak lepas dari matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. Sampel pada penelitian ini di ambil secara acak yaitu peserta didik kelas IX.1 berjumlah 31 peserta didik yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri 15 Palembang tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes berbentuk uraian materi bangun ruang (kubus dan balok). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Dari hasil analisis data dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik dikategorikan rendah.  Analysis of Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability on Cubes and Blocks in Junior High SchoolAbstractThe ability to solve problems cannot be separated from teaching and learning activities in general because one's success in something that is faced cannot be separated from mathematics. This study aims to determine the mathematical Problem-solving abilities of grade IX students at SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. The sample in this study was taken randomly. namely students of class IX.1, totaling 31 students which were conducted at SMP Negeri 15 Palembang for the 2019/2020 academic year. The data collection technique used test questions in the form of a description of the material (cubes and cuboids). The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive quantitative. From the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the students' mathematical Problem-solving ability is categorized as low.

The purpose of this study is to get a picture of the application of environmental media in the development of child study at kindergarten. The kind of research used in this study is qualitative. The object of research used in this study is the teachers of group B, children, and the principal of the elementary school. The data-collection technique used was observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are the reduction of data, the presentation of data and drawing conclusions. Research indicates that practices use the environmental media of natural and artificial environments to develop a child's interest in learning with Expressed interest (a verbal expression expressed whether a child likes or dislikes an object), Manifest interest (interest expressed by actions or actions in which the child participates in an activity and the child participates in activities), tested interest (interest expressed from the child's knowledge or skill test conclusion in an activity), and interest inventoried (interest measured in answering questions given).

AbstractComputer literacy has become an interesting issue in the field of education as the integration of technology in education develops rapidly and continues to increase in the future. One aspect of computer literacy teacher’s and student’s perceptions and attitudes to use computers for classroom instruction. Unfortunately, this has been a challenge for incorporating technology during the teaching and learning process. The current study aims to analyze the implementation of the use of a mobile laptop in the class and unfold the student’s attitudes toward using laptops during their learning activities. This research was a survey study that includes interviews, observation and documentation as a data collection technique. The subject of the study is 312 students from seventh to ninth grade. Data analysis was done by the following steps: data collection, data reductions, data analysis, and conclusion making. The study finds that 1) course content and learning activities have been predetermined/ predesigned and stored in the laptops, 2) every student have access to the device with the help of group work. The study also reveals that the attitude of students toward the use of laptops in the classroom process is positive in the sense that they show satisfaction on the use of laptops. They also acknowledge the advantages of the computer for their learning and show high awareness of the importance of keeping the devices maintained and secured.AbstrakSalah satu bidang Tehnologi pembelajara adalah pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sebagai media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut selaras dengan perkembangan abad 4,0.  Kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan computer (Komputer Literasi) menjadi isu yang menarik saat ini. Komputer literasi menjadi bagian dari teknologi pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis implementasi penggunaan laptop Mobile dalam aktivitas belajar di kelas dan bagaimana respon siswa dalam penggunaan laptop Mobile di kelas.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan survey. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan VIII sejumlah 312 anak. Analisis penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data, mereduksi, menganalisis, dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi penggunaan laptop mobile dilakukan saat proses belajar mengajar dilakukan dengan cara 1) semua materi dimasukkan dalam laptop mobile, 2) semua siswa mendapatkan hak akses untuk menggunakannya, dan 3) aktivitas belajar sudah didesain dalam laptop mobile. Sedangkan respon siswa dalam menggunakan mobile laptop menunjukkan 1) tingkat kepuasaan dalam menggunakan laptop mobile, 2) tingkat kemanfaatan dalam menggunakan laptop mobile, dan 3) tingkat tanggungjawab dalam merawat laptop mobile pada angka rerata yang paling tinggi pada lilihan stuju dan sangat setuju. A research and development study had been conducted to evaluate the appropriateness of local wisdom based physics teaching material in order to increase students’ critical thinking skill. This study was based on 4-D development model including Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data was gathered from 30 research participantsin SMK Kristen Fautmolo. Observation, interview, questionnaire and test were data collection techniques. Before applying the instruments in data field, validation was garnered from 4 physics experts with 3.75 total score in very good category which indicated the developed material’s applicability in teaching and learning process. The result revealed that the local wisdom-based physics teaching material was effective to improve students’ critical thinking skill with 0.80 of N-gain score (high) and 89.91% of students’ responses toward learning using the material. Therefore, it could be concluded that the developed local wisdom-based physics material was appropriate to be used in physics learning and could improve student’s critical thinking skill.

The process of teaching and learning in the schools only emphasized on the knowledge and understanding aspects and lack develop the skill of critical thinking of students so that they are poorly trained to develop reasoning power in responding and solving problem or applied the concept of science in life. The objective of this study was to improve the critical thinking skill of student using guided inquiry model with SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Social) vision. This research was conducted in Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Kampar, class of XI IPA-1 and XI IPA-3. Improvement of critical thinking skill of student is measured using pre-test and post-test. The score of pre-test and post-test was analyzed using the N-Gain tested. The result of this study showed that skill to basic explanation, constructing of basic practice, generalization, and hypothesis making as the indicator of thinking ability of student were catagorized as moderate, meanwhile indicator of applied the concept was high with 0.834 of N-Gain value. The critical thinking of students for each indicator were increased that reflected from average value of pre-test and post-test of students. The finding of this study was  guided inquiry model with SETS vision able to improve the critical thinking of student of SMAN 1 Kampar.

Abstract                                                             One of the problems in learning history is that the students could only understand the contents of learning material without understanding it in depth. Such circumstance makes the students less able to think critically in interpreting historical events. This article examines how discovery learning model and CTL learning model become a solution to develop students' critical thinking skills in historical learning. This descriptive qualitative approach was used in this research. The data was conducted by interviews and literature review of previous studies, research journals, books and other reliable sources. From our analysis, the discovery learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) are learning models that provide a systematical learning process to improving student`s critical thinking skill. Discovery learning and CTL help teachers to make a connection between learning materials and student`s real-world situations and encourage students to connect their knowledge and praxis in their lives as a family or the member of society. The concept of learning models is not exclusive, but it can be combined with other learning models, such as process skills learning, experiment learning, demonstrations, discussions, and so on. The implementation of students` activities, which tend to construct their knowledge, educate the student to think critically through inquiry process or find their own problems, freedom of questioning, and applying learning community.  Keywords:   Discovery Learning Model, Contextual Teaching Learning, critical thinking skill, learning history

Education systemin this era, focused on 21st century. Learning of the 21st century is a system to the renewal of a movements education especially in the field of science and math . One of renewal is known with the STEM term. Competence of the 21st century is one of a concrete manifestation in terms of support learning the curriculum applied at present. One of the object of which is seen critical skill against. subjects found in the level of education, but in reality in the field is critical thinking skill being one an obstacle to human resources in indonesia. Referring to the teaching and learning process in the classroom, sometimes material that was delivered can not received optimally by students due to limited time face to face. The population of this research is SMAN 3 Sumbawa Besar at West Nusa Tenggara. The research sample as much as 54 students class XI random sampling technique. The collection of data used an essay of critical skill with a value of post test as quantitative data. The research results show that class of blended learning approach that uses STEM education shows that can improve critical skill of student.

The purpose of physics learning at the school level is directed to develop the students’ thinking skill. This study aimed to improve the students’ critical thinking skill and students’ problem solving skill through aPBL (authenthic Problem Based Learning) learning. This study used classroom action research designed by Kemmis & Mc Taggart with the stages; problem identification, action planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research data were obtained in the form of the data of students’ problem-solving skill and critical thinking. The data in this research were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the application of aPBL (authentic Problem Based Learning) could  improve the students' critical thinking skill and  students’ problem solving skill. This improvement could be seen from the average score of critical thinking test and problem solving skill test that had been carried out. Keywords: aPBL, thinking skill, physics
