**************************************               AbstractAmong the main problems that the world is facing today are poverty and destitution caused by severe scarcity of economic resources and the scarcity of food and water. The lack of resources has already caused the death of millions of human beings. The scarcity of resources is counted by economists as the primary danger that threatens the human existence. Economists also consider it an economic dilemma caused by infinite human desires against limited and finite resources. In order to overcome this problem among the suggestions made by economists is that human beings should choose only necessary resources to satisfy their desires. The conventional concept of scarcity is that the resources in the world are limited vis-à-vis the unlimited human needs and desires. The reason for that according to economists is that the nature does not provide sufficient resources to meet people’s endless needs and desires. Islamic approach as represented by the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah to the issue of scarcity is essentially different from the conventional viewpoint of economists. This paper proposes and explains that the problem is not in the nature which Allah has made subservient to man, but it is in the ethics of the people and their behaviour and way of utilization of natural resources, which ultimately damage and corrupt the available resources. Keywords: Islam, Scarcity of Resources, Modern Economy, Environmental Resources, Nature.

The plurality of Indonesian society can be seen from various sides in terms of race, ethnicity, culture, religion, socioeconomic groups and even in terms of political orientation. The diversity that is owned by the people of Indonesia is a distinct characteristic that is a priceless wealth. On the other hand, although diversity is a very prestigious thing, on the other hand it can be a potential that drives conflict and division. The concept of multicultural education has a significant problem that is concerned with religious understanding. If this is the emphasis, then in the teaching of Islam the teachings are those that deal with universal values as possessed by all religions. While it is understood for certain that in Islamic religious education taught is monotheism, jurisprudence, and morality karimah. Thus it can be understood that in Islamic religious education is very strongly based in fostering civilized humans. If we pay attention, multiculturalism education does not have a strong foundation in conceptualizing its educational goals. Compared to Islamic education the foundation is clearly based on the Koran, Sunnah and Ijtihad on the ulama. So it is clear that the goal of Islamic education is the formation of attitudes, of course at the social level it is part of multiculturalism education. The attitude here is praiseworthy behavior which is a reflection of Islamic education itself.

Human existence begins with a weakness and disability that will then move towards strength. Humans can easily utilize the grace and gift that is bestowed upon him, but man must fulfill a duty to his God. Human dignity with his Lord is not measured by how high his skill and position, his or her wealth, and his wealth. But when God measured it is his taqwa. Human beings in the Islamic perspective will remain born in a state of fithrah, that is pure, clean, free from all sin, and has the tendency to accept religion, faith, and faith. Humans become good or bad are the result of educational and environmental factors, not their original habits. According to Abd al-Rahman al-Bani quoted by an-Nahlawi states the task of Islamic education is to maintain and maintain the students' nature, then develop and prepare for all the potential possessed , by directing the nature and potential of existing and towards goodness and perfection, and realizing a program gradually. (Nahlawi, 1996) The development of human nature can be done with various learning activities. That is through an institution. The development of human nature can be done by learning activities. That is through various institutions. Learning that is not focused is through education only in school, but also can be done outside the school, whether in the family, in the community, or through the existing social science constitution.

Nostalgia is the keyword of Vladan Dobrivojević’snovelistic opus—nostalgia for the “original condition”, as B. Hamvas described the primordial, yet highest order of human existence, nostalgia for the God-man, which is exactly what makes it eschatological—and in our intent to describe its nature, we have chosen Where Angels Come From: The Eastern Genealogy(2019), a book modest in volume, which enables us to speak about the central problems of this markedly coherent opus by following the principle of synecdoche. Where Angels Come Fromis a collection of ten stories which form a nested narrative in The Waterpainter’s Dream(1994–1997), the writer’s encyclopedically conceived trilogy, and it contains the key ideas of The Waterpainter’s Dream, as well as other qualities paradigmatic of the writer’s opus. Taking as our basis an interpretation that links nostalgia to an ideal instead of the past, which would be typical for an 18th-century poem, we show that nostalgic idealization is a characteristic of Dobrivojević’s novels, whose protagonists are led by a longing for an authentic existence. Nostalgia for that which doesn’t exist, and yet it should (a standard of clear, permanent and unquestionable aesthetical and ethical, i.e. evangelical values) is the basic motivation behind his protagonists’ spiritual journey as they come to understand the heavenly origin of the human race, accomplish Christ-like feats and achieve the fullness of their cosmic status. That is why the narrative of return in Dobrivojević’s prose is also connected to the motive of the collective, lost home of the human race. Eschatological nostalgia—the protagonist’s central experience in Where Angels Come From—is primarily defined by a way of life devoted to their theanthropic purpose, which was given to human beings in the very beginning. Its solemn linguistic stylization and the poetics of icon painting explain the liturgical character of this novel in which ontotheological questions are evident.

Education is the most important factor in efforts to develop potential and knowledge and cultural values. In the context of a society that has diversity in various aspects ranging from religion, ethnicity, ethnicity to culture, it needs deep understanding as well as awareness of the importance of multicultural education to maintain togetherness and integrity of a nation. In an effort to realize these efforts, multicullural education is interpreted as a process of understanding the diversity that exists and the similarities to be able to respect each other. In order to realize an understanding of multiculturalism, it must be endeavored in the right way, namely through education. The focus of this research is (l) what is the concept of multicultural education according to Nadirsyah Hosen? (2) how is the relevance of Nadirsyah Hosen's multicultural education concept with the aim of Islamic education? In order to find answers to the above questions, the authors conducted research using a library research research approach or commonly referred to as literature review research. Sources of data obtained for this research library research can be in the form of research journals, dissertations, theses, theses, research reports, text books, papers, seminar reports, and / or official publications of the government or other institutions. The references are then processed using the content analysis method which aims to obtain the contents of the data and information then analyzed with a deductive thinking model, which departs from general theory to find applicative conclusions. The findings in this study are as follows: (l) The concept of multicultural education in Nadirsyah Hosen's view is to implement education that engages students who are not only intellectually intelligent but aware of national diversity. Providing equal opportunities to all students in obtaining education regardless of differences in racial, cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds, in order to avoid discriminatory attitudes, fanaticism so as to form a tolerant attitude, respect for differences and culture. (2) Nadirsyah Hosen's thoughts regarding multicultural education are relevant to the goals of Islamic education. In Islam it is explained that the purpose of education is in accordance with the purpose of the creation of Allah's creatures. Becoming the unifier of the nation forms human beings who not only worship Allah or Ghair Mahdah but also respect the diversity of the nation which is known as mahdah worship. The relation with multicultural education is that religion has strong foundations in implementing education that understands a pluralistic nation
