The defining role of analytical research of personnel training processes for the transport industry is indicated. In particular, the possibility of using the vicious Knall’s circles to identify problems in the development of transport education is investigated. The traditional functionality of the Knall’s circles has been expanded to the study of the mechanisms of positive development of the research object. Two types of models for describing these processes are proposed and analyzed, taking into account both additive and multiplicative effects of development. Using concrete examples, the methodology for constructing various types of process models, selecting the optimal type of model and predicting development is shown. A systematic approach to the study of transport education is also proposed to be implemented using the tools of cenological analysis, which takes into account all participants in the personnel training system in the industry. The scientific and educational values of transport education allow us to determine the completeness and stability of the educational system, the direction of development (degradation, positive development of the system), the role and place of an individual educational institution in the personnel training system. The cytological study is illustrated by the example of the analysis of the results of the activities of branch railway universities. Scientific and educational self-regulating organizations for training specialists for the regional transport system are considered as one of the mechanisms for managing transport education. It is proposed to create self-regulating organizations of personnel training that regulate the activities of educational institutions, both among themselves and with consumers of educational services.

As knowledge of English becomes a priority for the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a modern military specialist is faced with a number of requirements, one of which is the formation of professionally oriented intercultural competence. Thus, a cadet, who has a certain conceptual and terminological apparatus in his/her specialization, has the opportunity to test his/her own knowledge and skills, to provide self-analysis of the level of formation of both intercultural and subject competences, as well as to receive an impartial feedback from foreign experts on the readiness for professional activity. The article considers the main notions that reveal the conceptual field of intercultural competence. The concepts of "competence", "competency", "culture", "intercultural competence" are defined and their historical-comparative analysis is carried out. It is found, that the professional training of cadets is carried out as a complex pedagogical influence, which has the purpose of developing a number of competences, among which the priority is currently considered to be intercultural competence. The essence of the concept of "competence" and variations of its interpretation by scientists, as well as differentiation with the concept of "competency", are clarified. The role of the humanities in general and the foreign language in particular in the development of professional competences of military specialists is noted. The generic function of the competence approach, which combines many traditional approaches, is mentioned. Intercultural competence is presented as a system of interconnected elements that position the personality in interaction with society through communication, which, in turn, is a means of adapting to the cultural values of society and acquiring educational competences to form a qualified graduate of a higher military educational institution. The hierarchy of competences is defined, which consists of three levels: general, special and professional, which are represented by integral, general and professional competences, respectively

The article analyzes the role of free choice disciplines in the formation of universal or functional competencies, which are also called soft skills. It has been proven that mastering soft skills ensures both personal success in life and professional implementation, as well as further career growth of a modern graduate of a higher educational institution. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, the main approaches to defining the essence and classification of soft skills in the works of both domestic and foreign scientists are determined and characterized. The publication analyzes and summarizes the ways of forming soft skills among students in the practice of higher educational institutions of Ukraine. Among them: the creation of a special educational environment, the restructuring of the educational process, which is dominated by such types of learning as project, problem-based, etc.; variety of forms and methods of teaching; extracurricular system, etc. It has been proven that a cycle of selective disciplines or author's courses plays an important role in ensuring the formation of soft skills. A significant place among them is occupied by the course "Pedagogy of Success", which in the 2020-2021 academic year was chosen by applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education. The course is aimed at increasing the productivity of independent educational work and a positive attitude towards it among students of higher educational institutions, equipping them with strategies of self-esteem, the formation of a positive "I-concept"; effective distribution of time (time management); search, evaluation and information processing; active reading; improved memorization; submitting your own educational achievements; communication, ways to ensure personal work ability, etc.

Discipline culture is a reflection of the quality of educational institutions. The low level of discipline is the main problem of every educational institution. The role of leadership is very much needed in overcoming this problem. This paper aims to describe the leadership role of madrasah principals in improving the disciplinary culture of students at MAS Patra Mandiri Plaju Palembang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytic study method. Data were collected using interview techniques, observation and documentation study. The results of this study indicate that the headmaster of MAS Patra Mandiri Plaju Palembang has played its role and function in improving the disciplinary culture of students in a fairly good category. This is supported by 2 factors, namely (1) the role models of madrasah principals in complying with school regulations; and (2) socialization of school discipline rules and sanctions for violations. The obstacles faced by madrasah principals are (1) there are still some teachers who do not exemplify student attitudes; and (2) there are still students who are not "deterred" to be given disciplinary violations.

Education is a main asset in the growing and development of a country. Various financial resources from the government and private agencies are provided to ensure that all Malaysians have the opportunity to obtain education and further their studies. Waqaf and zakat are one of the most important contributors in education. There have been many efforts undertaken by waqaf and zakat institutions in the development of education sector such as helping the B40 and underprivileged gorup. Therefore, this study will discuss the role of waqaf and zakat for educational institutions in the context of Malaysia. The study also will discuss the proposed educational institution model through the synergy of waqaf and zakat funds. This qualitative study uses the method of documentation. The findings suggest that the proposed establishment of a fully-funded educational institution using waqaf and zakat funds should be established for the sustainability of waqaf and zakat institutions as well as the ummah. The synergies between waqaf and zakat funds are believed to strenthen the management and development of the education sector in Malaysia including for those in need. It is hopeful that this study can be used as a guideline and reference to the authorities especially the State Islamic Religious Council, Centre for Waqaf, Waqaf Foundation, as well as NGOs which involved either directly or indirectly in the management of waqaf and zakat throughout Malaysia.
