THE IMPACT OF ZONATION SYSTEM POLICY IN THE PPDB ON STUDENTS' OBTAINING AT SMA NEGERI 8 SURABAYA

This research was conducted by using a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The quantitative approach was chosen to be tested theories by examining and measuring variables in the form of relationships, differences, influences, contributions, and the others. The research was carried out by describing the students acquisition data on the new student admission (PPDB) using zoning system based on the academic year 2019-2020 and the student acquisition data on the academic year PPDB 2018-2019 as a comparison. Based on the results of the study, the new students of PPDB using zoning system was considered lower in terms of economic and educational background of parents. There were more parents with less education (elementary & junior high school) in the zoning system than in the rayon system, whereas parents with higher education in the zoning system were fewer than the rayon system.  Likewise, in terms of income, there were more people with the low income in the zoning system than in the rayon system, and those having high income were fewer than in the rayon system. The study showed that the intelligence and the result of National Examination Score (NUN) in the zoning system is lower than in the rayon system. The intelligent level of the students in the zoning system is mostly dominated by the scores under 90-109, while in the rayon system were dominated by the scores above 90-109.  The National Examination Scores (NUN) in the zoning system were evenly distributed from a range of scores 0 to 30, while in the rayon system the scores were dominated by a range of scores 28-30, with the lowest score 24.

New Student Admission is a series of annual compulsory activities held by all schools in Indonesia in order to accept new students in the new academic year. The process of New Student Admission is based on school and government policies. In 2019, the Ministry of Education and Culture issued a regulation regarding the admission of new students as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 44 of 2019. In this regulation, the age of students is used as one of the parameters that are put into consideration after the distance between residence. In its implementation, many schools in Jakarta use age as the main parameter instead of the distance of student residence so that it violates the provisions of Permendikbud 44 of 2019. The use of age as a main parameter can affect student achievement in school. To see this further, a literature study was conducted which discussed the effect of entry age and achievement in several countries and various levels of education. Based on the literature that has been done, it is unfortunate that the effect of student entry age on achievement at school has different results between each level of education. At the early education level (Kindergarten - Elementary School), the age at which students enter has an influence on their achievement at school, but this does not apply at the secondary level (Junior High School - Senior High School) where the age of students has no effect on achievement at school.

Penelitian ini membahas kemampuan guru bahasa Sunda di SMP Piloting Project Kurikulum 2013 dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan menilai kemampuan mendongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 pada tahun pelajaran 2015-2016. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah (1) perkembangan Kurikulum 2013 yang sangat dinamis dan; (2) pedoman pelaksanaannya yang terus berubah, sehingga muncul pertanyaan apakah perubahan ini sampai kepada guru bahasa Sunda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan menilai pembelajaran khususnya materi dongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Populasi sekaligus sampel penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Sunda kelas VII, dengan teknik observasi dan study dokumenter. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) guru bahasa Sunda mampu merencanakan pengajaran dongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013; (2) dalam proses pembelajarannya perlu ditingkatkan dan; (3) guru bahasa Sunda mampu menilai pengajaran dongeng berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. ABSTRACTThis article discusses the ability of Sundanese teachers in junior high school Piloting Project Curriculum 2013 in planning, implementing, and assessing the ability of storytelling based on Curriculum 2013 in the academic year 2015-2016. The backgrounds of this study were (1) the development of Curriculum 2013, which is very dynamic and; (2) the implementation guidance that is constantly changing, so the question arises whether this change reaches the teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of teachers to plan, implement, and assess fairytale learning materials based on curriculum 2013. This research employed descriptive method with qualitative approach. The population and sample is Sundanese language teacher of Grade VII. It used observation and documentary study. The instrument was the observation sheet. The conclusion of this study are that (1) the Sundanese teacher is able to plan teaching fairytale based on Curriculum 2013; (2) the learning process needs to be improved; and (3) the Sundanese teacher is able to assess fairytale learning based on the Curriculum 2013.

ABSTRAK Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung salah satu institusi perguruan tinggi yang memiliki kualitas yang bagus dan memiliki potensi yang dapat menyerap mahasiswa baru berdasarkan berlimpahnya data awal yang diperoleh dari tahun ajaran 2013/2014 sampai dengan 2016/2017, dengan tahapan seleksi penerimaan yang banyak bahkan mahasiswa baru yang terserap beberapa tahun terakhir mengalami peningkatan dan penurunan.Dalam penelitian dilakukan analisa perbandingan algoritma fuzzy logic metode Tsukamoto, Sugeno dan Mamdani untuk memprediksi jumlah pendaftar untuk tahun kedepan dilihat dari jumlah mahasiswa yang lulus dan registrasi dari tahun sebelumnya dan dalam membandingkan perhitungannya menggunakan nilai rata-rata dari hasil yang diperoleh pada ketiga metode fuzzy tersebut dengan aplikasi berbasis web.Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dihitung bahwa metode fuzzy Mamdani mempunyai tingkat error yang lebih kecil sebesar 19,76% dibandingkan dengan metode Tsukamoto sebesar 39,03% dan Sugeno sebesar 86,41% pada prediksi jumlah pendaftar mahasiswa baru.   ABSTRACT State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung one of the university institutions that have good quality and has the potential to absorb new students based on the abundance of preliminary data obtained from the academic year 2013/2014 until 2016/2017, with the selection selection stage Which many new students even absorbed in the last few years have increased and decreased. In the research, comparative analysis of fuzzy logic algorithm of Tsukamoto, Sugeno and Mamdani method is used to predict the number of applicants for the next year seen from the number of students who graduated and registration from the previous year and in comparing the calculation uses the average value of the results obtained in the three fuzzy methods with web-based applications. Migrant workers are an important human resource for economic and social development. Considering the government’s goal of serving and improving people’s livelihoods, improving the happiness of migrant workers is necessary. This study investigates in-depth the impact of the conversion of household registration on migrant workers’ happiness, which is represented by a multi-dimensional comprehensive index based on the propensity matching score model and data from the China Migrants Dynamic Survey (CMDS) in 2017. Moreover, this study explores the different effects of conversion among the groups divided by the characteristics of migrant workers. The results show that from an overall perspective, although the conversion of household registration could improve the happiness of migrant workers, the degree of this improvement is minor. Further, the characteristics of the different groups, including age, educational background, contracted land, collective dividends, and income significantly affect the improvement of happiness. The conversion of household registration has obviously improved the happiness of migrant workers with low educational backgrounds, low income, and contracted land. Based on these findings, the government should take more targeted actions to improve the positive effects of household registration among different migrant worker groups due to the different characteristics in the process of household registration system reform.

Student administration is a process or activity undertaken for students ranging from planning student admission to students completing their education in order to achieve educational goals effectively and efficiently.The purpose of the administration of students in education is generally to regulate all activities related to students so that the learning process runs effectively and efficiently so that educational goals can be achieved to the maximum.In student administration there is a process or activity carried out by the administrator which is the beginning of the school year activities which include planning (determination of capacity, determination of the requirements of new students, formation of committees / admissions officers) and admission of new students. During the academic year which includes orientation activities for new students, rules of attendance of students, promotion and mutation of students, fostering discipline / school discipline, granting rewards and punishment. The end of the school year which carries out activities involving the implementation of the National Examination and grade promotion, and the dismissal of students from school due to graduation. In this article, the authors use the literature study method by collecting literature (material materials) sourced from books, journals, and other sources related to the science of student administration.

Abstract Many state Medicaid agencies have recently expanded Medicaid managed care (MMC) to include low-income older adults that are Medicare-Medicaid dually enrolled (duals). While little evidence exists regarding the effects of these expansions on health outcomes, duals may be especially vulnerable to low-quality or low-intensity care delivered by MMC due to their high use of services and the fragmentation inherent in the two-payer system. Using difference-in-differences (DID) and instrumental variables estimation, this study provides the first national examination of the impact of MMC on hospitalization for duals using claims data. DID results indicate that managed long-term services and supports (LTSS) expansions among duals are associated with increased rates of hospitalization while comprehensive managed care results in no change in hospital use. Further analyses exploring heterogeneity shed light on how these managed care payment models affect older adults and individuals using LTSS.

Autonomy Profile of Senior High School Student Based on Birth Order and Implication from Guidance and Counseling. The research was motivated by the lack of autonomy of students, where they so many factor influence which is birth order is among them. Autonomy is the readinnes of individuals to regulate, control, and manage themselves without depend on adult person and responnsibility for decision. The purpose of research to describe autonomy of students based on birth order. The research approach using a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The population in this reseacrh is a class XII student of SMA Al Muttaqin Fullday School Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2015/2016. The results showed a picture of autonomy of students based on birth order in higher category. Recommendations research showed to teachers Guidance and Counseling and further research.

One of the very important aspect in the Education is related to the enrollment of new students which has a very complex problems. To overcome all the problems, the District Head Office of the Education and Culture Kota Samarinda, published a policy on the new students enrollment, year 2016/2017 by using online system/model. This research Purposes are (1) to describe the implementation of the  District Head Office of the Education and Culture Kota Samarinda for new students enrollment policy, year 2016/2017 for SMA level and (2) to know how the implementation of the District Head Office of the Education and Culture Kota Samarinda for new students enrollment policy, year 2016/2017 can be accepted by community. This research uses qualitative approach with the technique of data collection through indept interview, observation and  the documentation study. The sources of the informations for this research are the school headmasters and new student parents/new students. The research findings are (1) according to the school headmasters (the policy implementors), year 2016/2017 that the new students enrollment policy can be implemented on the SMA levels, although there are some problems associated with the students non-academic achievements, disability/Environment Devolopment(ED)/PTK, and the school capacity and the stages of the  registration path. While according to the new students’ parents/ new students, the new students enrollment policy, year 2016/2017  can be accepted with four notes, namely the problem of the non-academic students’ achievement, disability/ED/PTK, school capacity and the stages of the new students enrollment path; (2) related to the registration phase students’ non-academic achievements, disability /ED/PTK done before the regular /general path, causes many problems; (3) system/model of selection for students’ non-academic  achievements, disability/ED/PTK based on the leves of the highest value of the National Examination results causes problems; and (4) the school capacity according to the policy implementors and new students’ parents/new students hope the government provides enought school capacity for the community; and (5) Headmasters always have their HP on and they are always at school.

This study aims to evaluate the Development of Self-Reliance Community Program (P2KM) as  corporate social responsibility that was conducted by Yayasan Baitul Hikmah PT. Elnusa Tbk by using CIPP model to know the impact of the program to the community on the periphery of  the company.  The program is expected that the life level of the community could be more prosperous with a commitment to a sustainable process. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The results showed that the evaluation by using CIPP model showed that the program had been conducted by following concepts of community development  step by step and have increased community economy-level on the periphery of  the company. Moreover, the program also formed the local cadres for program sustainability that had been successful to establish a Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT). The seriousness of managers and program assistants, community participation level, and community enthusiasm are supporting factors of the program. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the cooperation with local authorities and related agencies that have not proceeded smoothly and the educational background of the program managers.

This study aimed to analyze the language error on the Bahasa Indonesia National Examination instrument test of the Junior High School in 2012/2013 academic year. The research were qualitative descriptive research. The data analyzed the twenty packets of Bahasa Indonesia National Examination instrument test Secondary School Examination in 2012/2013. Twenty packages National Secondary School Examination in 2012/2013 were qualitative data. Data were collected from a package about twenty National Exams then was analyzed by using the language errors. The types of errors found in language packages about twenty Bahasa Indonesia National Examination in 2012/2013 were faults field of phonology, morphology and syntax. The results showed that language errors that occur in twenty packets Discuss Indonesian National Examination in 2013 as many as 58 data. Data analysis results was presented in accordance with the type of language errors that indicate an error in the twenty language packs Indonesian National Examination in 2013, both in the areas of phonology, morphology, and syntax.
