New Student Admission is a series of annual compulsory activities held by all schools in Indonesia in order to accept new students in the new academic year. The process of New Student Admission is based on school and government policies. In 2019, the Ministry of Education and Culture issued a regulation regarding the admission of new students as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 44 of 2019. In this regulation, the age of students is used as one of the parameters that are put into consideration after the distance between residence. In its implementation, many schools in Jakarta use age as the main parameter instead of the distance of student residence so that it violates the provisions of Permendikbud 44 of 2019. The use of age as a main parameter can affect student achievement in school. To see this further, a literature study was conducted which discussed the effect of entry age and achievement in several countries and various levels of education. Based on the literature that has been done, it is unfortunate that the effect of student entry age on achievement at school has different results between each level of education. At the early education level (Kindergarten - Elementary School), the age at which students enter has an influence on their achievement at school, but this does not apply at the secondary level (Junior High School - Senior High School) where the age of students has no effect on achievement at school.

This research was conducted by using a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The quantitative approach was chosen to be tested theories by examining and measuring variables in the form of relationships, differences, influences, contributions, and the others. The research was carried out by describing the students acquisition data on the new student admission (PPDB) using zoning system based on the academic year 2019-2020 and the student acquisition data on the academic year PPDB 2018-2019 as a comparison. Based on the results of the study, the new students of PPDB using zoning system was considered lower in terms of economic and educational background of parents. There were more parents with less education (elementary & junior high school) in the zoning system than in the rayon system, whereas parents with higher education in the zoning system were fewer than the rayon system.  Likewise, in terms of income, there were more people with the low income in the zoning system than in the rayon system, and those having high income were fewer than in the rayon system. The study showed that the intelligence and the result of National Examination Score (NUN) in the zoning system is lower than in the rayon system. The intelligent level of the students in the zoning system is mostly dominated by the scores under 90-109, while in the rayon system were dominated by the scores above 90-109.  The National Examination Scores (NUN) in the zoning system were evenly distributed from a range of scores 0 to 30, while in the rayon system the scores were dominated by a range of scores 28-30, with the lowest score 24.

Of the many forecasting methods or forecasting, the Linear Regression Method can be used to predict or predict the number of new students or students in the new academic year at the Islamic Junior High School "Al-H****h in Malang Regency. This study uses the MAD, MSE, and MAPE approaches. The data used is historical data on the number of students obtained for 9 years starting from the 2013-2014 school year until the 2021-2022 school year. By estimating or forecasting, helping the school, especially the AL-H****h Islamic Junior High School, know the number of new students accepted at the school in the 2022-2023 school year.

[Id]Penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) merupakan salah satu proses yang ada di instansi pendidikan seperti sekolah yang berguna untuk menyaring calon siswa yang terpilih sesuai kriteria yang ditentukan oleh sekolah tersebut untuk menjadi siswa didiknya. Pada umumnya proses PPDB dilakukan melalui tahapan pendaftaran, tes seleksi, dan pengumuman penerimaan siswa. Dalam penelitian ini penerapannya pada SMP BPPI Baleendah yang selama ini dilakukan secara manual atau sudah terkomputerisasi tetapi menggunakan Microsoft Office Excel. Pendaftaran secara manual masih menggunakan formulir yang menimbulkan antrian. Formulir pendaftaran tersebut akan dimasukkan oleh komite PPDB ke dalam komputer. Dengan semakin banyaknya calon siswa baru, maka proses memasukkan, mengolah dan memberikan informasi hasil PPDB memerlukan waktu.Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan sistem PPDB berbasis web menggunakan pendekatan YII Framework dengan metoda MVC (Model View Controller) pada SMP BPPI Baleendah yang dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang ada. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan kemudahan bagi admin maupun siswa itu sendiri. Langkah-langkah pengembangan sistem ini adalah studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, analisis, perancangan, uji coba dan implementasi. Kesimpulan hasil dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan dapat terbangunnya sistem informasi penerimaan siswa baru yang berbasis web.Kata kunci : Perangkat Lunak, Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru, Berbasis Web[En]The admission of new students is one of processes within educational institutions like school which is used to select candidate according to stated criteria by related school. Generally, the process of acceptance of new students began with registration, selection, and announcement steps of new student. This research was taken place at Junior High School (SMP) BPPI Baleendah which during the time has practiced the admission of new students manually or computerized but used Microsoft Office Excel only. The manual registration that are still using the form that led to long queues. The registration form hereinafter be recapitulated in the ledger by the committee PPDB into the computer. Because the number of applicants who pretty much and continues to grow, so that the input process, data processing and delivery of information resulting from the admission requires substantial time. The expected outcome of this research is to produce PPDB system web-based using YII Framework with MVC method on SMP BPPI Baleendah which can solve problem. The benefit of this research is to provide an ease for administrator and student. The steps of development system are literature study, observation, interview, analysis, schematization, trial, and implementation as its method. The conclusion from research result hopes installed an information system of new student acceptance in web-based. The author suggested that these applications can grow more, as in the use of Mobile-based or Website.

All types of school buildings were seriously damaged in Taiwans 921 Chi-Chi earthquake. Seismic evaluation and retrofit of these numerous vulnerable school buildings has become an important issue to be resolved. The National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE), Taiwan assisted the Ministry of Education on the arrangement of programs to accelerate retrofit and rebuilding works of elementary school, junior high school, senior high school and vocational school buildings, as part of the project called, Economic Recovery Act. Based on the database for seismic assessments and retrofits of school buildings, this study recommends a seismic upgrading procedure of near-fault school buildings. The proposed procedure can control effectively the seismic upgrading progress of near-fault school buildings. It also provides suggestions on the seismic retrofitting and reconstruction plans of near-fault school buildings to reduce damages and losses in a possible seismic event.

The world of education today is something very valuable for the advancement of the Nation and State, both in the fields of religion, social, even general science. Human resources are the key to the development of life in the nation and water land that is intended for the welfare of human life, through basic education starting from kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school (MTs), high school (MA) and Bachelor, proven to be able to educate students to be human beings with dignity and virtue, which starts from the process of selecting new student candidates. Following up on this, the researcher will seriously respond and complete this research which focuses on the selection of new students based on Multimedia and E-mail systems at Madrasah Aliyah. Multimedia and E-mail systems are the most desirable tools for learning that are very good and easy to understand, and able to do a direct automatic system that is connected directly using E-mail as the output. By doing this research, researchers are very confident that this is able to break new things and greatly facilitate the school in making decisions to select new prospective students in Madrasah Aliyah.

This research is intended to search and information about the strengthening of Islamic religious education (PAI) through the recitation of furudhul Ainiyah which is carried out in Nurul Jadid Paiton Junior High School. The method of this research is by qualitative method with case study method, to express. That is more intense and deep with the above phenomenon. Technique of completion of data and information is done through interview, observation, study study, and literature study. The findings of this research are 1). Students or students are required to complete the recitation of Furudhul Ainiyah as a condition to take the odd semester and even semester exam and become a requirement for class and graduation increase. 2). the implementation of the furudhul Ainiyah memorization is performed on Thursday and Friday nights and Tuesday nights, and can also be done during normal day breaks, 3). The responsible and recipient of the rote deposit are PAI teachers and their homeroom teachers, 4). For students and students who can not read written Al-qur'an is not subject to rote burden, but get special coaching related to Al-Qur'an reading written by the religious coordinator of students. 5). Memory materials include Aqidah, Fiqih or Amaliyah materials, and daily prayers for students of VII and VIII semerter 1 and 2, while for classes IX semesters 1 and 2 cover the material of the Qur'an and Fiqh. 6). The responsibility of Islamic education cannot be carried out unilaterally. Ki Hajar Dewantara stated that it requires the cooperation of three components which called as tripusat pendidikan education (center of three in education), they are families, educational institutions, and society. Those three components are one unit and complement each other. This is what happened at MTs Zainur Ridla (Islamic Junior High School Zainur Ridla) and MTs. Bustanul Ulum (Islamic Junior High School Bustanul Ulum), both of them are in Nonggunong District, Sumenep Regency. The findings in this research indicate that student’s guardians in MTs Zainur Ridla and MTs Bustanul Ulum Nonggunong have awareness about the responsibility of Islamic education. Second, all teacher councils in those two Islamic Junior High School stated that educating responsibility was on their control with habituation for their students in the form of reciting Shalawat Nariyah, reciting short surahs before the lesson began, praying before and after the lesson, shaking hands with teacher councils when coming and going home. Third, the participation of the society in realizing the responsibility of Islamic education through the media and the tradition of Kompolan. Fourth, the pattern of cooperation between madrasah (school) and student’s guardians in the form of: Home visits, inviting student’s guardians, forming madrasah supporting body, and report cards. While the pattern of cooperation between madrasah and society is their involvement in PHBI (Commemoration Islamic Feast Day) activities, their involvement in camp activities, their involvement in accepting new students, and their involvement in enforcing the discipline and regulations at madrasah.

This research aims to analyze the implementation of learning quality assurance at school and develop its model based on the applied educational technology. The research unit of analysis encompassing several junior high school, senior high school and vocational school in Semarang, Kendal, and Kudus district. The research results (1) school had implemented the learning quality assurance including the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluating process, although the documentation is still desultory, (2) the learning quality assurance based on the applied educational technology had been developed as a reference to define (a) the scope of quality assurance at school, (b) the quality policy and quality assurance organization at school, (c) the standard of learning quality and its achievement strategy, and (d) the manual for learning quality and its instrument, and (3) the learning quality assurance based on the applied educational technology is worth implemented on the learning quality assurance process at school.

The objective of this study is to know the correlation between students’ motivation and their achievement in reading comprehension. The research used quantitative method and correlational research as design. The population of the study was the seventh grade students of Junior High School 1 cisarua, Kabupaten Bandung Barat in academic year 2017/2018 with total number 395 students and the sample in this study is 32 students. Instruments for data collection were the questionnaire to find out students’ motivation and the reading comprehension test. Pearson Product Moment was used to analyze the data and the hypothesis testing was computed by applying SPSS version 22. It was found that there is a significant correlation between students’ motivation and their achievement in reading because the correlation coefficient was 0.658. It was classified into high correlation . Thus, there is a significant correlation between reading motivation and reading motivation. The result can be interpreted that students’ motivation had strong effect to reading comprehension skill.  It is suggested the English teachers have to create teaching strategies that will motivate the students to read in class.Keywords: Correlation, students’ motivation, reading, achievement.
