Education is the most important factor in determining one's future. With education, it can help humans to think about following developments in the modern era as it is today. It is the same as helping students think critically. As happened at SDN Kaliwungu 2 Jombang, teaching and learning activities that do not use media make students feel bored when studying and find it difficult to improve students' critical thinking. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interactive multimedia on students' critical thinking on the material of human interaction with the environment and its effect on social development in fifth grade elementary school. This type of research is a quantitative experiment through a one group pre test post test design. The population of the study were all students of class V SDN Kaliwungu 2 Jombang, which amounted to 20 students, according to the results of data analysis showing that the lowest pretest score was 32 and the highest score was 88 with an average of 61.20 while the lowest posttest score was 56 and the highest score was 92 with an average of 75.80, based on calculations showed an increase after learning to use interactive multimedia. These results indicate that there is an influence on the creativity of critical thinking in social studies learning in class V at the elementary school level.

The problem revealed in this study is how effective the Sort Card learning model is on social studies learning towards the learning outcomes of third grade students of Karangroto 04 State Elementary School in Semarang City. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Sort Card learning model on social studies learning on the learning outcomes of third grade students of Karangroto 04 Public Elementary School in Semarang City. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were class III students totaling 30 students and the design used for this study using One-Group Pretest-posttest Design. Data collection methods used are observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study revealed the average value of pretest students 43,74 and the average posttest score of students was 88.86. From the calculation using the t-test, it is obtained t_count = 16.034 and ttable = 2.045 with db = 30-1 at the significant level α = 5%, so that t_count > t table is 16,034 > 2,045. So Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that the sort card model is effective against student learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study the suggestions that can be conveyed are expected teachers can use the sort card learning model in teaching and learning activities, especially social studies subjects

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of an approach to improve elementary school students’ critical thinking skills. The approach is called MIKIR that stands for mengalami (experiencing), interaksi (interaction), komunikasi (Communication), internalisasi (internalization), and refleksi (reflection). This research was conducted at a public elementary school in Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Indonesia. The subject of this research was 23 fourth grade students. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental method. The experimental design used in this study was pre-test and post-test one group design. The results of the study obtained an average pretest score of 22.13 and an average posttest score of 27.70 from a maximum score of 36. Based on these results, the score increased by 5.57 points or 20.10%. The overall average N-gain value of 0.41 with moderate criteria, so that the MIKIR approach can improve fourth grade students’ critical thinking skills. This result was supported by the results of student learning activities and student responses to learning with the MIKIR approach obtaining an average of 84.6% with a very good category.

This research is motivated by the lack of utilization of the media in conducting learning related to space, making spatial literacy of students less explored. In addition, students tend to be more passive and bored quickly when the teacher in delivering learning comes only from the student's textbook. The lack of understanding of students' spatial literacy, in the end causes students to be less careful in making decisions and also solving spatial problems that occur in everyday life. This research was conducted related to the effectiveness of media maps in social studies learning in class V students of elementary schools in Metro City. The purpose of this study was to provide an understanding of students' spatial literacy, especially in material related to space in social studies subjects. The type of this study is quasi-experimental research using the design of nonequivalent groups pre test-post test from Fraenkel and Wallen. The design of nonequivalent groups pre test - post test was started by setting the experimental group and the control group, then doing the pre test, followed by giving treatment to the two classes and ending with a post test. The subjects in this study were fifth grade elementary school students in Metro City. Data collection techniques in the form of tests. The research instrument is a spatial literacy test sheet. Data were analyzed using normality test and Mann Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of using media maps in social studies learning can provide an understanding of spatial literacy of fifth grade elementary school students in Metro City. This can be seen from the increase in the correct number of each indicator of spatial literacy that is given in the form of determining the location, identifying spatial orientation, determining the closest distance and identifying objects through symbols on the map. The results of this study can be a suggestion for teachers and schools to continue to facilitate social studies learning with appropriate media, especially media maps for material related to space, so as to provide students with more understanding of spatial literacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan monopoli, mengkaji kelayakan dan keefektifan  media monopoli muatan pembelajaran IPS materi interaksi manusia terhadap lingkungan kelas V SDN 1 Todanan. Responden dalam pengembangan ini terdiri atas dosen ahli materi, dosen ahli media, guru kelas V sekolah dasar, dan siswa kelas V. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development  (R&D). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian media monopoli interaksi manusia terhadap lingkungan kepada para ahli memperoleh nilai 97,5% untuk ahli materi dan 100% untuk ahli media. Untuk hasil uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh nilai rata-rata sedangkan pada  post-test nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 82,65. Pada perhitungan dengan uji n-gain juga terjadi peningkatan rata-rata nilai yaitu 0,566176. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah media monopoli efektif dan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS materi interaksi manusia terhadap lingkungan. This study aims to produce monopoly, assessed the viability and the effectiveness of monopoly in social studies of  humen interaction with the environment materials for 5th grade at Todanan 1 Elementary School. Respondents in this development consist of material expert lecturers, media expert lecturers, 5th grade elementary school teachers, and 5th grade students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the monopoly interaction of human interaction with the environment to the experts obtained a value of 97.5% for material experts and 100% for media experts. For the results of the small group trials, the mean score was obtained while in the post-test the mean score increased to 82.65. In the calculation with the n-gain test there is also an increase in the average value of 0.566176. The conclusion of this research is an effective and feasible monopoly media to be used in social studies learning for human interaction with the environment materials.

This research aimed to review the professionalism of teachers in the face of the learning characters of elementary school students. In the learning process, a teacher's role was critical. Thus, teachers need to be professional in managing learning in the classroom in terms of media management, models and learning resources. This study used mixed methods approach between qualitative and quantitative. This research used online poll instruments and spread to 24 respondents. Respondents were taken from teachers at the elementary school level. The steps in this study were (1) the formulation of the problem (2) looking for the theory foundation, (3) the poll instrument formulation, (4) the distribution of polls, (5) data presentation and (6) drawing conclusions and suggestions. The results revealed that the elementary school teacher had a variety of methods and action in the learning such as the use of discussion, demonstration, lecturing and problem solving methods with a variety of specific reasons. The character of learners became the first consideration on implementing the variety of methods and action. So, the learning process tended to become more varied. The expectation of this research could capture teacher’s performance and give basis to improve the teachers’ profesionalism in the classrooms teaching and learning process.

Value education is a conscious and planned effort to help students recognize the values that must be used as a guide in behaving and behaving in everyday life. The purpose of this research was to determine the value education strategy as forming the personality of students in schools, especially at the elementary school level. SDN Nagreg 04 is one of the elementary schools that instill value education as a way of shaping the personality of students so that they become personal benefits for others. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on research results show that the value education strategy as forming the personality of students in schools can be started from the curriculum and tools such as syllabus and lesson plans, plan various programs that can support the process of value education to students, integrated with teaching and learning activities, and through collaboration between schools, parents, and society.

The research aims to develop teacher and student handbooks for realistic mathematics lessons for elementary schools. The development of this handbook is based on the reality in the field where the handbook of teachers and students especially the subjects using the 2013 curriculum still do not exist, and in daily learning activities teachers and students still use books that use themes. This research uses development research (Developmental Research). The subjects of this study were grade V students of SD Negeri 163085, H.A Bilal Tebingtinggi City and SD Negeri 106162, Medan Estate District, Deliserdang Regency. In the initial stage, observations were made during the learning process at the two schools and continued with interviews with students and teachers. From the results of these observations and interviews a primary school realistic mathematics teacher and student handbook was prepared. Furthermore, the realistic elementary school mathematics teacher and student handbook is validated by a team that aims to see and assess the quality of the realistic elementary school teacher and student mathematics handbook in order to arrange an effective handbook that will be used by teachers and students in learning. The validation results show that realistic mathematics teacher and student handbooks are developed in both categories and can be used in teaching and learning. The media book test was conducted on grade V students of SD Negeri 163085 Tebingtinggi city and SD Negeri 106162 Medan Estate Deliserdang Regency. The trial results show that the elementary school teacher and student mathematics handbook is effective and can help facilitate understanding of mathematical concepts at the elementary school level. This can be seen from the number of students who can reach the KKM from the two schools is increasing. For SD Negeri 163085 HA Bilal, Tebingtinggi City, if at the time of the pre-test only 1 student (3%) was able to reach the KKM, then after being given the learning process using a teacher and student handbook developed the number of students who could reach the KKM increased to 24 students (82.7%) while those under the KKM were only (17.3%) or 5 students. The same thing was seen in SD Negeri 106162, Medanestate Subdistrict, Deliserdang Regency. If at the time of the Pre-test only 2 students (6.6%) had scored above the KKM, after the post-test there was an increase in students who achieved the KKM score of 25 students (83.3%). Recently, teaching English for young learners especially for elementary school level still becomes problem in practice especially in Pekanbaru. Practically, the teachers teach their students without standard guidance to go with such as curriculum and syllabus because for fourth grades students, English Language subject looks like as extra subject which affects the effort to teach maximal. As response to this issue, the researcher has developed a learning media which focuses on vocabulary mastery which provides chance for the students to learn with or without teacher. There are five stages in developing this media which called by Barcorious such as analyzing students’ need, designing media, developing content and design, implementation media, and evaluation. This study describes the implementation of Barcorious application to enhance students’ vocabulary mastery. Indeed, this media was implemented for teaching four grade students. There was one class which consisted of 35 students participated. The finding shows this media can give significant improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery because the students’ post-test higher than pre-test.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan proses belajar mengajar Permainan Bola Voli Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Games and competition Pada Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada jam belajar Penjasorkes kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), penelitian ini secara obyektif atau apa adanya dengan subyek siswa kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan berjumlah 15 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu : (1) perencanaan,  (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kualitatif berupa hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa pada saat proses belajar-mengajar berlangsung. Adapun hasil pengamatan terhadap siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar Permainan Bola Voli Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Games and competition pada siklus I adalah sebesar 55% dari keseluruhan pengamatan terhadap proses belajar mengajar. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 85%. Sedangkan hasil pengamatan terhadap guru pada siklus I sebesar 65% dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan yang sangat berarti dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran games and competition pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan.Kata Kunci : Proses Belajar Mengajar, Bola Voli, Games and competition.AbstackThis study aims to determine the improvement of teaching and learning process of Ball Games through Learning Methods of Games and competition In Grade V Students of Elementary school 14 Lebong Selatan. This research was conducted at the learning hour of class V of SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK), this research is objective or what it is with the subject of grade V students of SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan totaling 15 people. This study was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The type of data collected is qualitative data in the form of observation of teacher and student activity during the teaching-learning process. The results of observation of the students in the learning process Teaching Ball Volleyball Through Learning Methods Games and competition in the first cycle is 55% of the overall observation of the teaching and learning process. In the second cycle increased to 85%. While the results of observations of teachers in the first cycle of 65% and increased in cycle II to 90%. So it can be concluded that there is a very significant improvement in the application of learning methods of games and competition on students of grade V Elementary school 14 Lebong Selatan.Keywords: Volleyball, Games and competition, Teaching and Learning Proces
