This study examined the structural relationship between age, grit (i.e., perseverance of effort and consistency of interest), conscientiousness, self-control, and school success of female students at an Open University in Korea. We analyzed 509 students’ responses, and it turned out that the level of perseverance of effort was negatively correlated with academic maladjustment. Also, perseverance of effort had a positive indirect effect on grade point average scores. Conscientiousness and self-control were found to be positively correlated with grit factors and they had negative effects on academic maladjustment through perseverance of effort. Age had both direct and indirect effects on grit and academic success of the students.

This study described the association between students' use of a university recreation center and concomitant achieved cumulative grade point average (GPA). Data were derived retrospectively from undergraduate student records from 12 consecutive months ( N = 6,098). Results showed that in general, use of the recreation center on campus was beneficial to a student's academic performance, where female students who visited the facility more often had higher GPAs on average. When GPAs were considered categorically for all students, however, those with the very lowest academic performance were characterized by a very high pattern of use, indicating that there may be a threshold benefit to center utilization.

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the knowledge and interests of students following the PPAk. This research was conducted by distributing research instruments in the form of questionnaires that were given directly to students who would complete their studies in the S 1 Accounting study program. Students who willbe asked to become respondents are asked to fill out a questionnaire. Grade Point Average (GPA) of students who are respondents above 3.25. The results showed that the existence of PPAk was not fully understood so that there were differences in motivation among respondents. Relevant students are very strongly influenced by the desire to get a job / career, whereas for extension students who generally have worked the interest in obtaining a CA degree is motivated by other than a desire for a career but also a desire to improve the quality of professionalism in accounting. Thus, it seems that the extension of students' understanding of the existence of PPAk is more comprehensive compared to regular students.
