Introduction: High rates of burnout, depression, anxiety, and insomnia in healthcare workers responding to the COVID-19 pandemic have been reported globally.Methods: Responding to the crisis, the Foundation for Professional Development (FPD) developed an e-learning course to support healthcare worker well-being and resilience. A self-paced, asynchronous learning model was used as the training intervention. Each module included practical, skill-building activities. An outcome evaluation was conducted to determine if completing the course improved healthcare worker knowledge of and confidence in the learning outcomes of the course, their use of resilience-building behaviours, their resilience, and their well-being. A secondary objective was to explore if there were any associations between behaviours, resilience, and well-being. Participants completed pre- and post-course questionnaires to measure knowledge of and confidence in the learning outcomes, y, frequency of self-reported resilience-building behaviours, and levels of resilience (CD-RISC) and well-being (WHO-5). Results were analysed in STATA using paired T-tests, univariate and multivariate linear regression models.Results: Participants (n = 474; 77.6% female; 55.7% primary care) exhibited significant increases in knowledge, confidence, resilience-building behaviour, resilience, and well-being scores. Statistically significant improvements in the frequency of resilience-building behaviours led to significant improvements in resilience (0.25 points; 95% CI: 0.06, 0.43) and well-being (0.21 points; 95% CI: 0.05, 0.36). Increasing changes in well-being scores had a positive effect on change in resilience scores (β = 0.20; 95% CI: 0.11, 0.29), and vice versa (β = 0.28; 95% CI: 0.14, 0.41).Conclusion: A healthcare worker e-learning course can build knowledge and skills that may prompt changes in resilience-building behaviours and improvements in well-being and resilience scores. The findings suggest that e-learning courses may improve more than competency-based outcomes alone but further research is warranted to further explore these relationships.

Penyebaran pendidikan berkualitas yang belum merata di Indonesia merupakan permasalahan pendidikan nasional yang harus diselesaikan. Pelaksanaan pendidikan berkualitas sebagian besar dilaksanakan di pulau Jawa, pada hal warga Negara Indonesia tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia dari Sabang sampai Merauke. Semua warga Negara Indondesia tersebut ingin mendapatkan pendidikan berkualitas yang mudah diakses dengan biaya yang terjangkau. Salah satu solusi yang bisa digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut adalah e-learning. Namun demikian banyak faktor yang harus diperhatikan dalam proses pembejaran jarak jauh atau dikenal dengan elearning, salah satu diantaranya adalah proses evaluasi hasil pembelajaran. Artikel ini membahas tentang proses evaluasi hasil pembelajaran dengan melakukan studi literatur beberapa artikel yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2007 – 2015 dengan memfokuskan pendapat para pakar terhadap pernyataan “apakah ujian on line (berbasis komputer) dapat menggantikan ujian tradisional (berbasis kertas)” melalui penyajian pro dan kontra ujian on line. Dari kajian ini ditemukan bahwa ada peluang untuk menggantikan ujian berbasis kertas dengan ujian berbasis komputer dengan memperhatikan unsur-unsur teknis seperti keamanan, kemudahan penggunaan dan kemampuan dasar pengguna komputer. Namun demikian, penggantian tersebut belum bisa diterapkan pada semua kondisi dan perlu memperhatikan tujuan pembelajaran yang telah ditetapkan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan mengembangkan model evaluasi pencapaian kompetensi siswa dengan mengkombinasikan konsep penilaian berbasis kubik secara on line (Cubiks Online Asesessment) dengan mengkombinasi konsep keamanan informasi ganda.Kata kunci; evaluasi hasil pembajaran, elearning, ujian online dan ujian berbasis kertasSpreading the uneven quality education in Indonesia is a national educational problems to be solved. Implementation of quality education largely implemented in Java, in the case of Indonesian citizens spread all over Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke. All citizens of the Indondesia want to receive a quality education that is easily accessible at reasonable costs. One solution that can be used to solve the problem is e-learning. However, many factors must be considered in the process of long-distance pembejaran known as elearning, one of which is the process of evaluating learning outcomes. This article discusses the process of evaluation of learning outcomes by studying literature several articles published between the years 2007 - 2015 with a focus on expert opinion to the statement "whether the test on line (computer-based) may replace the exam traditional (paper-based)" through the presentation of the pros and cons exam on line. From this study it was found that there are opportunities to replace paper-based exams to computer-based test with due regard to the technical elements such as security, ease of use and ability of computer users base. However, such reimbursement can not be applied to all conditions and the need to pay attention to the learning objectives that have been set. Therefore, further research is needed to develop a model to evaluate student achievement by combining the concept of competency-based assessment cubic online (Cubiks Online Asesessment) by combining multiple information security concepts.Keyword; evaluation of the results of learning, elearning, online exams and paper-based exams

In line with the competency-based curriculum at the University of Riau, the effort to improvelearning basic concepts of science 2 courses puts emphasis on understanding the concept ofmatter, which is based on students' learning activities through scientific inquiry.Implementation of action research consists of two cycles in PGSD JIP University of Riau onthe odd semester of 2013/2014 with 55 third semester students. Based on the research results,lecturing process by applying the model of inquiry learning, students’ activity increased inwhich in the first cycle all activities are good category except activity I and II are faircategory. Meanwhile students’ activity in first and fourth in cycle II is good category, andvery good category in second, third, fifth, and sixth activity. Temporarily student’s learningoutcomes increased from pre-tests with an average65.45 into 77,0 in daily test I and 77.45onthe daily test II. Improvement from initial data to the first cycle was 11.55, while the datafrom the beginning to the second cycle increased 12 points. In general the improvement ofstudents’learning is possible because the learning model used is inquiry learning so thatlearning becomes active which centered into students by presenting a problem, then studentsare asked to carry out a simple experiment using equipment and tools, using data, arrangingreports, communicating the results of observations based on concepts and learned principles.Keywords: Inquiry, students’ activity, learning outcomes.

The aim of this research is to know the influence of e-learning learning strategy and interest in learning to accounting learning result. This research was conducted at SMK Permata Bangsa Kelurahan Jakasetia, South Bekasi Subdistrict, Bekasi City involving 56 samples taken with random sampling technique to the equivalent class. Instrument used in this research is the accounting test and questionnaire interest in student learning; and the data analysis using two-way ANAVA and Tukey Test. The results of this study obtained: (1) there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who are taught with e-learning learning strategies and expository strategies in which the results of student accounting learning taught by e-learning strategy is higher than the students taught by strategy expository learning. (2) There is an interaction between students who are taught using learning strategies with interest in learning on accounting learning outcomes. (3) This means that the result of group accounting learning which is taught using e-learning learning strategy is significantly higher than that taught using expository learning strategy in students who have high learning interest. (4) While the learning result of student group accounting that is taught using e-learning strategy is same as learning result which is taught using expository learning strategy to students who have low learning interest, influenced by student environment factor and learning design factor in research.

BACKGROUND Any delays in language development may affect learning, profoundly influencing personal, social, and professional trajectories. The effectiveness of the Sign 4 Big Feelings (S4BF) intervention was investigated by measuring change in early years outcomes after a three month period. OBJECTIVE To determine whether Early Years Outcomes (EYOs) significantly improve (beyond typical expected development), if children’s wellbeing improves after the S4BF intervention period, and if there are differences between boys and girls in any progress made. METHODS An evaluation of S4BF was conducted with 111 preschool age children in early years settings in Luton, United Kingdom. Listening, speaking, understanding, and managing feelings and behaviour, in addition to Leuven well-being scales were used in a quasi-experimental study design to measure outcomes pre- and postintervention. RESULTS Statistically and clinically significant differences were found for each of the seven pre- and post measures taken: words understood and spoken, well-being scores, and the four EYO domains. Gender differences were negligible in all analyses undertaken. CONCLUSIONS Children of all abilities may benefit considerably from S4BF, but a language-based intervention of this nature may be transformational for children who are behind developmentally, with EAL needs or of lower socio-economic status. Purpose: This study examines the association between sources of stress and perceptions of organizational and supervisor support for health and well-being. Design: Retrospective, cross-sectional analysis. Setting: Large university in the mid-western United States. Sample: This study focused on university employees with complete data for all variables (organizational support/N = 19,536; supervisor support/N = 20,287). Measures: 2019 socioeconomic and demographic characteristics, count of chronic conditions, sources of stress and perceptions of organizational and supervisor support. Analysis: For the multivariate analyzes, linear regression models were analyzed separately by wage bands (low ≤$46,100; middle >$46,100-$62,800; high >$62,800). Results: For all employees, workplace stressors, including problematic relationships at work and heavy job responsibilities, were negatively associated with perceptions of supervisor and organizational support. In comparison, the most salient home-based stressors were negatively associated with perceptions of supervisor support for the lowest-wage band (the death of a loved one, b = −0.13) and middle-wage band (personal illness or injury, b = −0.09), while the one for the highest-wage band (illness or injury of a loved one, b = 0.07) was positively associated with perceptions of supervisor support. Conclusion: Stressful job responsibilities and work relationships are associated with lower perceptions of supervisor and organizational support for health and well-being across all wage bands. Favorable perceived support for personal stressors only among high wage earning employees may suggest a need for improved equity of perceived support for these stressors among lower wage workers.

AbstractThere is growing interest in the role of compassion in promoting health and well-being, with cross-sectional data showing an inverse correlation with loneliness. This is the first longitudinal study examining both compassion toward others (CTO) and compassion toward self (CTS) as predictors of mental and physical health outcomes including loneliness, across adult lifespan. We followed 552 women and 538 men in San Diego County for up to 7.5 (mean 4.8 and SD 2.2) years, using validated rating scales for CTO, CTS, and loneliness. Linear mixed-effects models were employed to examine age- and sex-related trajectories of CTO and CTS over time. Linear regression models were used to evaluate baseline and longitudinal relationships of CTO and CTS with mental well-being, physical well-being, and loneliness. CTS and CTO were weakly intercorrelated. Women had higher baseline CTO than men. While CTO was stable over time and across the lifespan, CTS scores had an inverse U-shaped relationship with age, peaking around age 77. There were significant baseline × slope interactions of both CTO and CTS predicting improvements in physical well-being in adults <60 years old. Increases in CTO and CTS predicted improvements in mental well-being. Higher baseline CTO and CTS as well as increases in CTO and CTS scores predicted lower loneliness scores at follow-up. Thus, CTO and CTS were associated with better mental well-being and loneliness across the adult lifespan, and physical well-being in younger adults, and are promising targets for interventions to improve health outcomes.
