Large-scale food-borne outbreaks caused by Salmonella are rarely seen nowadays, thanks to the advanced nature of the medical system. However, small, localised outbreaks in certain regions still exist and could possess a huge threat to the public health if eradication measure is not initiated. This review discusses the progress of Salmonella detection approaches covering their basic principles, characteristics, applications, and performances. Conventional Salmonella detection is usually performed using a culture-based method, which is time-consuming, labour intensive, and unsuitable for on-site testing and high-throughput analysis. To date, there are many detection methods with a unique detection system available for Salmonella detection utilising immunological-based techniques, molecular-based techniques, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, optical phenotyping, and biosensor methods. The electrochemical biosensor has growing interest in Salmonella detection mainly due to its excellent sensitivity, rapidity, and portability. The use of a highly specific bioreceptor, such as aptamers, and the application of nanomaterials are contributing factors to these excellent characteristics. Furthermore, insight on the types of biorecognition elements, the principles of electrochemical transduction elements, and the miniaturisation potential of electrochemical biosensors are discussed.

The aim of the article is to research the essence of the leading scientific approaches and foreign practices into the public security; to identify informational component of public security under the conditions of hybrid warfare. Despite significant number of publications devoted to the problems of informational security and start of counterpropaganda in Ukrainian Mass Media, the external media surrounding is still not capable yet to resist adequately Russian informational aggression. Ukrainian media policy demands substantial modernization in offensiveness, usage of new technical and manipulative capabilities. Authors analysed European model of people power and proposed the ways of its adaptation of Ukrainian reality though the actualization of those definitions, as national and public security, fundamental national interests. Also, authors made research of the modern social-political situation in Ukraine and developed proposals for improving state informational policy based on Crimea example. In addition, the actual tasks of the state policy are developed for the challenges based on hybrid warfare. The practical aim of the publication is to develop and implement scientifically justified conceptual approaches to counteract the Russification of the Ukrainian population in the conditions of Crimea annexation and armed conflict in the East of Ukraine. Based on the analysis of the situation with freedom of speech and mass media in the occupied Crimea, authors submitted proposals on strengthening the Ukrainian information presence on the peninsula; the basic principles of development and implementation of the National concept of information policy in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are substantiated. Negative trends that already exist in the domestic media space are highlighted and ways to minimize them are proposed. Special attention was paid to the need for a coordinated large-scale and daily information campaign on Crimea.

Deepfake is one of the applications that is deemed harmful. Deepfakes are a sort of image or video manipulation in which a person’s image is changed or swapped with that of another person’s face using artificial neural networks. Deepfake manipulations may be done with a variety of techniques and applications. A quintessential countermeasure against deepfake or face manipulation is deepfake detection method. Most of the existing detection methods perform well under symmetric data distributions, but are still not robust to asymmetric datasets variations and novel deepfake/manipulation types. In this paper, for the identification of fake faces in videos, a new multi-stream deep learning algorithm is developed, where three streams are merged at the feature level using the fusion layer. After the fusion layer, the fully connected, Softmax, and classification layers are used to classify the data. The pre-trained VGG16 model is adopted for transferred CNN1stream. In transfer learning, the weights of the pre-trained CNN model are further used for training the new classification problem. In the second stream (transferred CNN2), the pre-trained VGG19 model is used. Whereas, in the third stream, the pre-trained ResNet18 model is considered. In this paper, a new large-scale dataset (i.e., World Politicians Deepfake Dataset (WPDD)) is introduced to improve deepfake detection systems. The dataset was created by downloading videos of 20 different politicians from YouTube. Over 320,000 frames were retrieved after dividing the downloaded movie into little sections and extracting the frames. Finally, various manipulations were performed to these frames, resulting in seven separate manipulation classes for men and women. In the experiments, three fake face detection scenarios are investigated. First, fake and real face discrimination is studied. Second, seven face manipulations are performed, including age, beard, face swap, glasses, hair color, hairstyle, smiling, and genuine face discrimination. Third, performance of deepfake detection system under novel type of face manipulation is analyzed. The proposed strategy outperforms the prior existing methods. The calculated performance metrics are over 99%.

Using published estimates of inequality for two countries (Russia and USA) the paper demonstrates that inequality measuring still remains in the state of “statistical cacophony”. Under this condition, it seems at least untimely to pass categorical normative judgments and offer radical political advice for governments. Moreover, the mere practice to draw normative conclusions from quantitative data is ethically invalid since ordinary people (non-intellectuals) tend to evaluate wealth and incomes as admissible or inadmissible not on the basis of their size but basing on whether they were obtained under observance or violations of the rules of “fair play”. The paper concludes that a current large-scale ideological campaign of “struggle against inequality” has been unleashed by left-wing intellectuals in order to strengthen even more their discursive power over the public.

The success of the Program of housing stock renovation in Moscow depends on the efficiency of resource management. One of the main urban planning documents that determine the nature of the reorganization of residential areas included in the Program of renovation is the territory planning project. The implementation of the planning project is a complex process that has a time point of its beginning and end, and also includes a set of interdependent parallel-sequential activities. From an organizational point of view, it is convenient to use network planning and management methods for project implementation. These methods are based on the construction of network models, including its varieties – a Gantt chart. A special application has been developed to simulate the implementation of planning projects. The article describes the basic principles and elements of modeling. The list of the main implementation parameters of the Program of renovation obtained with the help of the developed software for modeling is presented. The variants of using the results obtained for a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of large-scale urban projects are proposed.

Reading short stories “Suku Pompong” (Pompong Tribe) and “Rumah di Ujung Kampung” (House at the End of the Village) is like reading a historical reality that is happening on the ground of Riau Malay. The exploitation of forest resources on a large scale in recent decades in Riau Province has changed the land use of the area of intact forest into plantation area. The exploitation process causes friction in the community. The friction is eventually lead to conflict between communities and plantation companies. Their struggle to resolve conflicts and maintain their ancestral land, the strength of the company that has the license to the land and sadness when the public finally has always been on the losing side. This study objected to describe the objective reality of the Malay community in terms of land conversion, the communal land into plantations and reality of imaginative literature contained in the short stories “Suku Pompong” dan “Rumah di Ujung Kampung”. This study applied the sociology of literature approach, while the sociological approach to literature is a literary approach that specializes in reviewing literature by considering the social aspects. Based on these approaches, it can be concluded that short stories Suku Pompong and Rumah di Ujung Jalan are short stories that raised the reality of the Malay community.

: Ovarian cancer (OC) is one of the deadliest gynecological malignancy. Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is its most common form. OC has both a poor prognosis and a high mortality rate due to the difficulties of early diagnosis, the limitation of current treatment and resistance to chemotherapy. Extracellular vesicles is a heterogeneous group of cellderived submicron vesicles which can be detected in body fluids, and it can be classified into three main types including exosomes, micro-vesicles, and apoptotic bodies. Cancer cells can produce more EVs than healthy cells. Moreover, the contents of these EVs have been found distinct from each other. It has been considered that EVs shedding from tumor cells may be implicated in clinical applications. Such as a tool for tumor diagnosis, prognosis and potential treatment of certain cancers. In this review, we provide a brief description of EVs in diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, drug-resistant of OC. Cancer-related EVs show powerful influences on tumors by various biological mechanisms. However, the contents mentioned above remain in the laboratory stage and there is a lack of large-scale clinical trials, and the maturity of the purification and detection methods is a constraint. In addition, amplification of oncogenes on ecDNA is remarkably prevalent in cancer, it may be possible that ecDNA can be encapsulated in EVs and thus detected by us. In summary, much more research on EVs needs to be perform to reveal breakthroughs in OC and to accelerate the process of its application on clinic.
