Background—Communities played a key role in preventing the spread of coronavirus, not only during the threshold period of the epidemic but also in the normal stage of prevention. Scientifically evaluating the community’s work is necessary for prevention in the normal period of the epidemic and can provide a reference for the management of different countries. Methods—Based on data envelopment analysis (DEA), this article used community worker data to evaluate the matching of service supply and demand during the epidemic period and used co-word analysis to analyze the content and the residents’ demands for community service from the threshold period to the normal period of the epidemic. Results—According to the results of the DEA model, early in the epidemic, 13 of the 15 districts’ DEA values were invalid, indicating that there was a shortage in community workers in Wuhan. The results of public opinion analysis showed that from the threshold to the normal period of the epidemic, the emphasis on community service gradually transformed from epidemic prevention to an integrated service, which effectively met the composite service needs of community residents for both prevention and life. Conclusions—In the face of public health emergencies, the government should ensure an adequate number of service personnel, mobilize the service resources, refine the service content, and adjust the incentive policy, which can help to improve the quality of residents’ lives and the coordination degree of the prevention and control as part of the epidemic control in the emergency period and the social and economic recovery after the epidemic.

The emergency status caused by Coronavirus Diseases (Covid-19) has prompted the government to implement Social Distancing as a measure to reduce the number of spreads of the Covid-19 virus. Social distance is a person's efforts not to interact at close range or avoid crowds. The community is asked to work at home, study from home and worship at home; even tourist attractions are not allowed to operate, this situation is a challenge for tourism actors. The purpose of this study is to find out how the tourism strategy is during the New Normal period after the COVID-19 pandemic with restrictions on community activities. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data analysis was carried out with qualitative-interpretive. The results of research conducted at the prayer hill religious area show that government policies through the implementation of Government Regulation No. 1 of 2021 concerning Improving Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols in the Prevention and Control of Corona Virus Disease 2019 have been well implemented in terms of four indicators, namely: communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure.

Many communally divided postcolonial states rely almost exclusively upon an effective machinery of control to ensure political order. This has stemmed from two factors: (1) unrestrained communal competition for votes; and (2) inheritance of a highly centralized state apparatus. The first condition has tended to politicize sectional cleavages, exacerbating distrust (Premdas, 1972: 19-20). Without a body of shared values in the state, protection of a communal group's interest is perceived to reside on the capture of the government. The second condition under such circumstances facilitates “effective domination of one group over another” (Smooha, 1980: 257). Apart from a consociational arrangement, democracy in deeply divided societies is elusive, rendering authoritarian control seemingly necessary to prevent protracted communal conflict and political disintegration (Lijphart, 1969: 207; Milne, 1975: 413; Norlinger, 1972). As a legitimator of domination, stability is a controversial value, especially in the face of cynical and brutal abuses of human rights.

The prevention and control of public health emergencies is an important challenge to national governance level and governance capacity. The increasing practical challenges of public health governance, the imperfect mechanism of public health emergency response and the insufficient investment in public health cause have affected the effectiveness of national governance of public health emergencies and hindered the in-depth promotion of the modernization of national governance. Therefore, the government, society and the people must move from crisis and prevention mechanism to forward-looking and dynamic adaptive risk governance mechanism, from multi-level structural governance to network collaborative governance, and from defense to attack, so as to improve the national system from the aspect of governance efficiency in response to public health emergencies, and then promote the modernization of national governance.

The last six months have seen concerted efforts by government, development partners, communities, and individuals to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 has wreaked havoc in all the continents, from Asia, Europe, Africa, America to Australia. Nigeria recorded its first case of COVID-19 on 27 February 2020. Kaduna State, the former headquarters of the defunct northern region, with a total population of 10 million citizens, has recorded 1,457 confirmed cases and 21 deaths of COVID-19 as of 31 July 2020.In line with the national guidance, Kaduna State activated the COVID-19 Emergency Operating Centre (EOC) with the confirmation of a case to coordinate the response. The EOC developed an Incident Action Plan (IAP) with nine strategic pillars, including coordination, surveillance, and epidemiology, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), case management, risk communication, logistics and supplies, laboratory, the point of entry, and research. COVID-19 is real, has maimed citizens, and claimed many lives. The economic, social, and human losses are enormous, and recession stares us in the face. We have no cure or vaccines to deal with the pandemic yet, so prevention and adherence to proven measures by citizens, corporate organizations, and the government to stem the incidence of the virus must be accepted as the new way of living. The challenges are daunting, but consultation, cooperation, and communication among citizens, corporate organizations, and government remain essential to finding the strength, resolve, and shared purpose to cultivate useful guidelines and measures to keep individuals, organizations and government running.

Tuberculosis (TB) is still a threat to the community in Teluk Paman Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. In addition, it is not yet optimal for community empowerment by the government and health workers. This is indicated by the absence of a "Pos TB Desa" and TB cadres who can assist community-based TB management in the village. The strategy of empowering the community can be done in various ways, including advocacy, community development and community movements. The purpose of this community service was to examine the implementation of community empowerment in TB prevention and control and to see the effectiveness of advocacy and training in realizing empowered cadres. The empowerment method was advocacy, forming a "Pos TB Desa" and village TB control network, training with question and answer lecture methods combined with simulations and using various educational media. This activity has provided many benefits. The community has been able to utilize the TB Village Post that is already available. This activity helps the Health Office and local government in preventing and controlling TB cases. This activity also increases the knowledge and skills of village TB Post cadres to help prevent and control TB.

Abstract Background: China has basically succeeded in controlling the COVID-19 epidemic, which is due to the cooperation and acceptance of epidemic prevention measures by the public. However, few studies have examined the measures China has taken to combat COVID-19 in order to reflect on its success in curbing the the spread of epidemic. Methods: In this study, the public acceptance questionnaire was designed based on the epidemic prevention measures adopted in China, to investigate the difference of public acceptance of epidemic prevention measures. The survey data was collected from 2,062 samples with different demographic characteristics from March 8, 2020 to April 9, 2020. And SPSS was used to analyze the data collected in the questionnaire, such as one-way variance, so as to draw conclusions. Results: The results show that age and educational level have a significant influence on public acceptance. In contrast gender and occupation field has no significant impact on it. The acceptance of the emergency prevention and control measures taken by the government during the epidemic period is generally high. With the development of the epidemic, the acceptability is increasing. And the public acceptance of traffic measures was highest. Conclusions: Rapid deployment of epidemic prevention measures and appropriate methods in transportation, economy and education are the key to China's effective containment of the epidemic. Measures such as shutting down cities and encouraging the wearing of masks deserve to be copied by other countries. This study summed up China's scientific experience in the fight against COVID-19 and differences in public acceptance. It can provide a positive reference for the development of epidemic prevention measures in other countries.

Heart allotransplantation has become one of the methods of choice in the treatment of severe heart failure. In the face of its difficulties, such as the unmet balance between organ supply and demand, the use of xenotransplantation might be an attractive option in the near future, even more with the ongoing progress achieved regarding the avoidance of hyperacute rejection and primary organ disfunction, maintenance of xenograft function and control of xenograft growth. To make possible this translational challenge, some points must be taken into account indeed, and they are the equipoise of human benefit and animal suffering, the risk of unknown infections, a well prepared informed consent, ethical and religious beliefs, and the role of cardiac xenotransplantation in a ventricular assistance device era.
