The use of recycled masonry aggregate for concrete is mostly limited by the worse properties in comparison with natural aggregate. For these reasons it is necessary to find ways to improve the quality of recycled masonry aggregate concrete and make it more durable. One possibility is utilization of crystalline admixture which was verified in this study by laboratory measurements of key material properties and durability. The positive influence of mineral admixture was proved for freeze-thaw resistance. The positive impact to carbonation resistance was not unambiguous. In conclusion, the laboratory evaluation shows how to improve the durability of recycled masonry aggregate concrete, however, it is necessary to investigate more about this topic.

This study empirically investigates the simultaneous association between the quality of environmental performance (EP) and financial performance of firms selected from three Asian countries—Japan, South Korea, and India. The content analysis technique based on a four-point scale was used to measure the quality of EP, whereas financial performance was measured based on the market-to-book ratio. Employing system generalized method of moments and fixed effects regression model in a system of two-equation model, the study finds that EP has a positive impact on financial performance. Similarly, the financial performance has a positive influence on the quality of EP. The findings of the study indicate that a firm can enhance its overall financial performance by improving its EP. This implies that firms not only improve their economic performance through environmentally responsible business practices, but also help in fulfilling some of the sustainable development goals of the United Nation’s 2030 development agenda.

ABSTRACT:Improving the quality of education becomes very important nowadays to meet the increasing demands of graduates’ future institutions. This research adopts five dimensions of service quality initiated by Parasuraman, Zeithaml and Berry (servqual) to assess the quality of academic services affecting student satisfaction. Once the determinants are known, they can be used by policy makers to improve student satisfaction levels. After identifying the determinant factors, policy makers can use them to improve the level of satisfaction of students. There are 100 respondents who participated in this research. The data was collected using surveys and analyzed using structural equation modeling with Smart PLS 3.0. The results showed that among five hypotheses tested, all variables have the positive influence, however, there are two latent variables which have significant associations, while the others have not. Responsiveness and empathy have positive and significant impact on the student satisfaction, while tangible, reliability and assurance have a positive impact but not significant. Keywords: customs student satisfaction, service quality, servqual, SEM.ABSTRAK:Meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan menjadi sangat penting dewasa ini untuk memenuhi tuntutan kebutuhan unit pengguna yang semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini mengadopsi lima dimensi kualitas jasa yang digagas oleh Parasuraman, Zeithaml dan Berry (Servqual) untuk menilai kualitas layanan akademik yang mempengaruhi kepuasan mahasiswa. This study aims to determine the effect of MGMP teacher organization empowerment on the quality of teacher learning, and its impact on improving students' ability to solve problems. The writing is part of a study on the empowerment of MGMP conducted in five cities in Indonesia in mid-2019. The sample of this study was teachers with each MGMP taken 25 of those classified as seniors (more than 10 years) as teachers (125 people in total). Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, focus group discussions (FGD) and interviews. The results showed that the empowerment of MGMP was influenced by the training variables of increasing competency and parents' participation. The empowerment of MGMP itself has a positive influence on the quality of teacher learning, so that it has a positive impact on improving students' ability to solve problems. On that basis the government must encourage the empowerment of teacher organizations on an ongoing basis, not temporary. In addition, the government needs to review the regulations prohibiting schools from raising funds from parents, because it is indeed necessary to encourage the implementation of quality improvement programs in schools, including assisting teachers in participating in MGMP activities and forming professional communities.

Abstract We developed a Comprehensive Health Assessment and Motivation program (CHAMP-D) focused on self-health promotion and management for people aging with disabilities. The goal of the CHAMP-D is to enhance healthy lifestyle, self-health management and communications with the care team by a person-centered Health Passport tool. All study participants underwent comprehensive health, physical, and blood laboratory evaluation. CHAMP-D results were formatted into an easy to follow health passport. A follow-up survey evaluated the CHAMP-D on 59 respondents and 77% found the recommendations to be achievable and reported improved quality of life (QoL). Other improvements were noted in in self-care (54%), physical activity (49%), and diet (24%). 51% of the participants shared the Health Passport with their PCP. Overall, the CHAMP-D had a positive impact on participants’ self-reported health, self-care, and wellbeing. Empowering individuals with disabilities to take an active role in self-managing their health is feasible and can impact their QoL.

AbstractThe aim of the paper is to empirically assess if immigrations is a potential predictor of life satisfaction in European countries, considering also other socio-economic determinants. For this purpose, we are using data from the European Quality of Life Survey 2016 implemented by Eurofound. Our results show that immigration, measured here by migrants born in another country, has a net positive impact on subjective well-being, and strictly in this context, migration does not prove to be a threat on well-being. Also, the results suggest that immigration leads to well-being in different ways, more precisely it seems to support a better quality of life for the more privileged and not so much for the less privileged. The statistical and econometrical evaluation of the conection between life satisfaction and other determinants, grouped in categories such as demographical, socio-professional, economical highlights a series of general and specific influences. Subjective well-being, representing eudaimonic well-being, is positively associated with an improvement in the areas of life satisfaction, especially with the standard of living and family life. We also identified positive influence on life satisfaction, in relation to aspects such as the freedom to decide how to live, the efforts made to have a better life or individuals’ own optimism. A very important aspect is a good health, a reduced risk of psychological depression and chronic physical and mental problems.
