The purpose of this work is the authors’ attempt to identify the main phases of information transformation in measurement channels on the example of an optical measurement channel with microprocessor control. The authors include such phases: hardware implementation and analytical representation of an optical sensor`s converting functions and a current-to-voltage converter; based on the methods of experimental computer science, the converting functions and sensitivity are deduced, analytical dependences for estimation of a range of measurement are obtained. It is shown that the choice of information transmission type in the microprocessor measuring channel significantly affects the speed of the measuring channel. Based on the uncertainty in the form of entropy before and after measurements, the amount of information for measuring channels with optoelectronic sensors is estimated. The application of the results obtained in the work allows even at the design stage of physical and mathematical modeling to assess the basic static metrological characteristics of measuring channels, aimed at reducing the stage of development and debugging of hardware and software and standardization of their metrological characteristics.

The role of the community is an essential part to cut down the COVID-19 chain transmission, a current world pandemic. Knowledge determines a person's healthy behavior that can prevent transmission of COVID-19. This research’s goal is to analyze the effect of health promotion via telemedicine on increasing knowledge about COVID-19 prevention in the productive-age population in Indonesia. This study used one group pretest-posttest design and accidental sampling method involving 146 respondents based on the inclusion criteria. The data collection method was carried out by using a questionnaire containing simple and general questions related to COVID-19 that tested subjects before and after telemedicine health promotion. Based on the assessment of the questionnaire through pretest and posttest, there was an increase in the average knowledge after being given health education with telemedicine with p<0.001 (CI 95%). This study shows that telemedicine could significantly increase average knowledge about COVID-19 prevention in the productive-age population in Indonesia.

Purpose Although there has been an increase in workplace studies on professional agency, few of these have examined the role of emotions in the enactment of agency at work. To date, professional agency has been mainly conceptualised as a goal-oriented, rational activity aimed at influencing a current state of affairs. Challenged by this, this study aims to elaborate the nature and quality of emotions and how they might be connected to the enactment of professional agency. Design/methodology/approach Data are collected in the context of a leadership coaching programme that aimed to promote the leaders’ professional agency over the course of a year. The participants (11 middle-management leaders working in university and hospital contexts) were interviewed before and after the programme, and the data were analysed using qualitative content analysis. Findings Findings showed that emotions played an important role in the leaders’ enactment of professional agency, as it pertained to their work and to their professional identity. The study suggests that enacting professional agency is by no means a matter of purely rational actions. Practical implications The study suggests that emotional agency can be learned and enhanced through group-based interventions reflecting on and processing one’s own professional roles and work. Originality/value As a theoretical conclusion, the study argues that professional agency should be reconceptualised in such a way as to acknowledge the importance of emotions (one’s own and those of one’s fellow workers) in practising agency within organisational contexts.

A reinforced concrete folded plate space structure of span 28 m and clear height 9·4 m was constructed as a games hall. The structure was analysed using the finite element method. At the design stage, model tests were carried out to check the accuracy of the method of analysis. To assess the behaviour of the actual structure subject to its self-weight, strains and deflections were monitored during construction both before and after removal of formwork. The tests confirmed that results given by the finite element analysis are of sufficient accuracy for the purpose of design, irrespective of the assumptions involved.

Support is not load bearing components, but also carrier of other component. To reduce the valid load, mass of the support should be low down under the condition of enough stiffness and strength. Topology optimization is employed here to solve the problem. The finite model must be built up according to the basic structure of analysis object in topology optimization. The supports are typical box-style part with thin-wall. Thus, solid model is adopted in ANSYS, and the element shell93 is employed here. Definition of optimization function based on linear-static analysis was employed here. Take maximum flexibility as the constrain conditions of the structure. And the optimality criterion (OC) method was adapted to the problem due to it is suitable for the problem which target is volume. Define the base plate, face and back of the support as the topology area separately. Main part of support is optimization with the variable density method. The results before and after the optimization are compared. When the topology form is unknown, the best topology relation of the structure in the initiate design stage of the whole product has very important meanings.

In this paper, we present the virtual environment of assembly sequence generation of a product at the design stage. The interaction technique developed for the manipulation of virtual parts includes visual and haptic feedback limited to force sensation in the fingertips and weight and inertia parts sensation. At this stage of development, the parts and subassemblies have kinematics behaviour in the virtual scene. We present some guidelines for modeling a generic virtual environment for performing assembly tasks. Virtual parts modeling and connections modeling is based on characteristics of real parts and connections. The mating phase of assembly is based on the Snap-Fitting technique, which is improved by the addition of vectors in the symmetry axis of virtual parts. An XML modeling allows the environment to be generic and supporting different products.

A challenge method composed of digital image correlation (DIC) method, circle coordinate grid technology and finite element (FE) software to conduct strain measurement of bimetal is presented. This approach can carry out the prediction and measurement of strain. The coordinate grids are painted on top and bottom surface of bimetal when experiment and simulate specimen. Each node is named a fixed number in turn, and these numbers can precisely help to identify the same name point between FE software and the experiments specimen. The bimetal sheet has been tested using DIC software, circle center of the coordinates points can be accurately identify on the surface of bimetal. The changing of distance between adjacent points is computed to construct the forming limit diagram before and after forming. It is an effective means to evaluate the forming performance of bimetal and verify the reasonable of FE analysis results. 2A12 metal is conducted experiment using the challenge method in this paper, bimetal has not conduct experiment due to some reasons.

The article analyzes the structures of the measuring channels of electricity metering systems. It is shown that such a structure is determined by the types of measuring instruments used and the scheme of their connection, in particular, by the types of electricity meters installed at the metering points. Moreover, the counters can have a pulse or interface information output. It is shown that the path for measuring and metering electricity includes a measuring circuit consisting of measuring current and voltage transformers, an electricity meter, communication lines, a metering device and a data collection device. The applied method is based on the standardization of the metrological characteristics of individual elements of the measuring path and their synthesis based on the metrological characteristics of the entire electricity metering system. To calculate the total error of the measuring channel, a formula is used that takes into account only the errors of the measuring circuit. It is shown that in recent years there has been a tendency when measuring current transformers and, accordingly, electricity meters operate in the mode of low current loads. In this case, the errors of the elements of the measuring path are poorly studied. The graphs of errors of current transformers depending on load currents are given. It is shown that the values of the errors of current transformers vary with the magnitude of the load current and are in the region of negative values. Therefore, the wrong choice of current transformers can lead to a significant underestimation of electricity. The errors of voltage transformers depend mainly on the load on the secondary winding and do not significantly affect the total error. The resulting error of the measuring path current transformer - voltage transformer - electricity meter in the area of low loads is given. A change in errors in the area of low loads leads to serious metrological losses (underpayment of electricity). In the automation of electricity metering, graphs of changes in errors in the area of low loads are presented, which can serve as a basis for correcting the error of the measuring paths.

Abstract. At the present stage of development of the construction industry, steps to improve the efficiency of investment and construction projects can no longer be considered outside the context of construction information modeling technologies. Today, one of the main criteria for optimizing work on investment and construction projects is to reduce the time spent searching, working out and agreeing on spatial, financial, and temporal information about the construction object, therefore, the issue of the correct organization of information modeling of a construction site is quite relevant. In most cases, the design assignment is drawn up in the form given in Appendix B DBN A 2.2-2-2014 and is formal in nature. The presence of a design assignment, drawn up using the tools proposed below, reflects the thoroughness of the customer's elaboration of an investment and construction project, and reduces the risks of its implementation. The proposed methodology is based on three components of counter design, such as disaggregation, aggregation, and decomposition, from which its name – DAD –approach comes from. Allocation of structural elements in the structure of a building by disaggregation (analysis of alternative options) allows to create its model in the form of a hierarchical structure consisting of detailed and mutually synchronized parts - the configuration of the building. In accordance with the configuration of the construction site, hierarchical numbering is further reflected at all stages of design and in all its sections, incl. stamps of drawings and local estimates. This creates a unified system of interconnection and control of project sections. The creation of a construction site configuration in the form of a tree model with hierarchically numbered elements at the pre-design stage allows it to be applied at subsequent stages of the life cycle of a construction object in information modeling technologies. The use of the DAD – approach in counter-design is intended to increase the efficiency of the implementation of investment and construction projects.
