The lack of sustainable development strategies of the tourist resorts from Romania caused the structural dynamics of their economy to record large fluctuations under the impact of determinants with unpredictable developments. The spectacular dynamics have led to developments difficult to predict, in many situations that generate environmental conflicts, where the economic pressure has exceeded the support capacity of the natural environment. In this study, we aim to analyze the dynamic relationship between tourism and the other components of the economy, from each resort from Romania. The significant growth of tourism in recent years requires new approaches, relevant for understanding the role of tourism in increasing the complexity of the local economy. Measuring the role of tourism in the development of local economy was achieved by building an economic database for all tourist resorts from Romania (according to Government Decision No. 107 of 2018), at the four-digit NACE code level (Classification of National Economy Activities), for the economic indicators considered relevant: number of companies, number of employees, and turnover and profit, for the period 2000–2016, as well as at territorial administrative unit level. Detailed analyses revealed very different structural dynamics, the spectacular dynamics, lacking a coherent strategic framework, led in all situations to the emergence of environmental conflicts. Tourist resorts in which tourism has become an essential component of economic development have based their development on capitalization of local resources, which led to multiplication effects, materialized in a spectacular evolution of the local economy, and an increasing pressure on the natural environment.

Electric shock activity is an activity of an electric discharge into the water to look for fish using a stun. This activity is a way to sustain the local economy of the challenges existing conditions. Because of some reasons such as easy, effective and efficient this way is still used. Another reason this way is still used is because of economic necessity, small capital, and another effort is difficult to do.Even in preserving the environment, the Local Government who has authority in this case issued a regional regulation. AbstractAlthough the important role of providing fieldwork experiences for students in the natural environment is now well-established within environmental education literature, there is still little research evidence to guide teachers in their choice of effective teaching strategies. This paper presents findings from an interpretive case study designed to investigate the value of combining experience-based fieldwork in a mangrove and coastal environment with reflective and metacognitive activities. Analysis of video recordings, researcher observation notes and interviews of a class of Year 11 biology students who participated in the activities resulted in the emergence of five themes. These themes together provided evidence of enhanced student environmental learning, and included student appreciation for various learning contexts, self-awareness of group learning processes, and awareness of the integration of cross-curriculum knowledge. The study supports and illustrates the contention that the most effective environmental learning experiences are likely to be those that integrate learning in the natural environment with classroom learning strategies.

This paper assesses the impact of the implantation of a major recreational resort (670 new direct jobs planned) on the local economy of an isolated rural area in northern France. To estimate the induced effects, an original hybrid model combining Keynesian and economic base theory was used to take into account the predominant role of the first wave of spending in the tourism sector. At the local level, this resort has the potential to create between at least 70 and 80 indirect and induced jobs, provided support is lent by synergy in local policymaking (especially in training and habitat).

Abstract: In recent years many new and modern buildings have emerged in Yogyakarta, on the other hand the existence of kampongs and the natural environment continues to decline, including local wisdom in managing the environment is increasingly abandoned. Kampung Gampingan as a "kampung kota" in the city of Yogyakarta, located on the riverside of the Winongo River. Kampong administrators and it’s citizen Gampingan cooperate to manage and maintain the quality of the kampong environment. For them, the aspect of environmental conservation is very important and considered because it aims to maintain harmonious relationships between humans and the natural environment. The purpose of this paper is to explore information about environmental management in kampong Gampingan, which involves citizens and consider the impact on the natural environment. Life that comes from food must inevitably be fulfilled, the involvement of the local economy will inevitably bring serious challenges. So it is reasonable to say that globalization will bring benefits if the response of national and local governments can properly mobilize local resources. The resources that are owned in relation to farming groups cannot be separated from the role of local governments in efforts to improve a decent life for farmers and the farming groups themselves. The research was carried out at the Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Service of Sorong Regency against the Farmers Group in Salawati District from June to September 2020. This research used descriptive methods by survey and cross sectional methods which used samples from the Department of Agriculture and farming groups in the District. Salawati. The analysis used is a Likert scale and a frequency table. Based on the results of the analysis, the role of the Agricultural Instructor as Motivator, Facilitator, Communicator and Innovator is in the very good category, while the participation of farmers in the role of the Dinas is in the Good category. Thus the suggestion that is conveyed is the active role of every institution involved both as extension workers and farmers who are pro-active in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. This score or number will be at 100 percent if all parties can carry out the function properly.

An increasing number of studies are examining the relationship between entrepreneurship and growth. This relationship is controversial, especially for developing countries. Recent improvements in economic growth have led to a focus on growth inclusiveness, which spreads economic opportunities throughout a society. However, studies that focus on the role of entrepreneurship in inclusive growth remain scarce. To fill that gap, this study investigates the dynamic relationship between economic globalization, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth in 21 African countries using panel econometrics to examine data covering 2006 to 2018. The results reveal that the impact of economic globalization and entrepreneurship on inclusive growth is positive and significant. We find that economic globalization enhances entrepreneurial development, and causality tests show that economic globalization drives inclusive growth. We also find a unidirectional causality from entrepreneurship to inclusive growth. Finally, we observe no direction of causality between economic globalization and entrepreneurship but observe a bidirectional causality between governance and entrepreneurship. We discuss the implications of these results.

Abstract We measure the longer-term effect of a major earthquake on the local economy, using night-time light intensity, and focus on the role of insurance payments for damaged residential property in the recovery process. The destructive Canterbury Earthquake Sequence (2010–2011) in New Zealand is our case study. Uniquely, for this event, >95% of residential housing units were covered by insurance and almost all incurred some damage. However, insurance payments were staggered over 5 years, enabling us to identify their local impact on recovery. We find that night-time luminosity can capture the process of recovery; and that insurance payments contributed significantly to the process of local economic recovery after the earthquake. Cash settlement of claims was no more effective than insurance-managed repairs in generating local recovery. Notably, delayed payments were less affective in assisting recovery; this suggests an important role for the regulator in making sure insurance payments are made promptly after disaster events.

The impact of the political unification of Burma and India on the lives of the people living in these two countries has been little studied. Despite the extensive and varied literature available on Burma and on India, for the most; part scholars who have written about either or both of these countries look upon the annexation of Burma to India as an unavoidable accident of history which had relatively little effect on India and only slightly more on Burma. For the Burma historians, the most important aspect of unification was the political changes which occurred under alien rule. Specifically, the political progress toward self-rule in Burma prior to separation is interpreted by them as a by-product of Indian advances. They call attention to the effects of unlimited Indian migration upon the local economy and the rising nationalist movement. The historians who are oriented towards economic and social organization give attention to the role of the immigrant Indians as labourers and money lenders and note their effect upon the changing characteristic of Burma's economy. They also make reference to the different religious and social ideas which were held by Burmese and Indians and the racial conflicts which erupted. While these are significant results of unification, it is not the whole story. There were many less obvious and dramatic effects upon Burmese life, which, when more fully explored and understood may recast the present interpretation of the whole period.
