Application of phytocomplex and nordic walking in dyslipidemia

The results of assessing the effectiveness of using the original phytocomplex in combination with physical training in the form of Nordic walking in 78 men with dyslipidemia are presented. It was found that in the main group (n=39), against the background of the use of phytocomplex and physical training, there is a decrease in the content of atherogenic lipid fractions and the atherogenic coefficient, an increase in physical performance, and an improvement in the indicators of the adaptive reserve of the cardiovascular system. In the control group (n=39), against the background of a hypolipidemic diet and climatotherapy, less significant dynamics of the parameters is noted.

Background: Core stability training (CST) is used to enhance sports performance. The relationship between core endurance and physical performance in rugby players had not been evaluated before in Asia. Aims and Objectives: This study aims to determine the effects of a 6-week specific CST program on the core endurance and physical performances (speed, upper body power, lower body power, and agility) following a CST intervention in male rugby players. Materials and Methods: Professional rugby players (n=8, intervention and n=8, control) were randomly selected. Mean (SD) age, height and weight of intervention group were 25.25 (2.4) years, 1.64 (0.03) m, and 69.6 (14.9) kg, respectively. In the control group, corresponding values were 29.75 (4) years, 1.66 (0.04) m, and 72.3 (19.1) kg, respectively. Intervention group was trained CST sessions complementary to the usual physical training, 3 times/week for 6 weeks. The control group followed the usual physical training. Subjects were tested for four physical performances (using 40 m sprint, vertical jump, 3 kg medicine ball put, and agility T tests) and four core endurance tests (back extension, abdominal fatigue [AF], and left and right bridges). Results: AF, left bridge, right bridge, and total core endurance were significantly increased in the intervention group (P=0.028, P=0.006, P= 0.008, and P=0.001, respectively). Agility and AF were increased significantly in the control group (P=0.048, P=0.027). The right side bridge endurance (P=0.024) was significantly increased in the intervention group compared to the control group. Conclusion: The results suggest that the CST improves core endurance without improving physical performances in rugby players.

Aim The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of Nordic Walking training and physical training on the balance and body composition in adult people with Down syndrome. Basic procedures We enrolled 32 subjects with Down syndrome, aged 25-40 years with moderate intellectual disability. They were randomly divided into three groups: Nordic Walking training group, physical training group and control group with no intervention. Training sessions were held for 10 weeks at a frequency of 3 times a week. Subjects were examined twice: 1 week before training and a week immediately after intervention. To evaluate balance we applied modified Clinical Test for Sensory Integration and Balance (mCTSIB) on BioSway platform. Evaluation of body composition was assessed with Tanita Body Composition Analyzer TBF – 300. Results After training, in the mCTSIB statistically significant changes were observed only in the Nordic Walking group. In the control group in the mCTSIB the changes were not reported. There were observed improvements in the body composition after Nordic Walking training and in the control group there were deteriorated. Conclusions The research shows that regular physical activity such as Nordic Walking training has positive influence on the balance in people with Down syndrome. The changes were greater in people participated in Nordic Walking training rather than physical training. Both of the study groups presented improvement compared to controls. Background and Study Aim. There is a significant amount of data on the stressful effects of exercise, which contain conflicting results. Some publications testify to the adaptive processes and the benefits of optimized exercise for various physiological systems, some deny such an effect. Much controversial is the question of combination the physical exercises of different intensity with other stressors. The purpose of the study: to analyze the parameters of lipid metabolism and oxidative-antioxidant system in persons aged 18-23 who lived in territories with different radioecological status, under conditions of moderate physical activity during exercise. Material and Methods. There were examined 50 students from relatively ecologically clean areas (control group) and 50 students from the IV radiation zone (experimental group). The radiation zone is selected by the dosimetry of soil contamination with 137Cs isotopes after the Chornobyl catastrophe. Age of the examined is 18-23 years. Within the framework of the experimental group there were formed two subgroups: the main group for physical training classes (without signs of morphological-functional disorders) and the group for therapeutic physical training classes (TPTC, persons with signs of vegetative-vascular dystonia syndrome). For the control and experimental main group, classes contained all the planned exercises due to the standard curriculum. The program included a combination of aerobic and strength exercises of moderate intensity. For students with signs of vegetative-vascular dystonia, teachers used specially designed therapeutic exercise complexes. The first analysis of parameters was carried out the day before physical training classes, the second one – immediately after the class. Results. Higher levels of total cholesterol and its lipoprotein fractions (LDL-C and HDL-C), triglycerides, oxidative stress index are detected in the experimental group compared to the control group. At the same time lower levels of sulfhydryl groups (SH) were marked. The absence of statistically significant changes in the analyzed parameters in the control group and the experimental therapeutic group after physical exercises is shown in the study. There were evident tendencies of ceruloplasmin level increase in the control along with the absence of such trends in persons with signs of vegetative-vascular dystonia syndrome. This led to the formation of a significant difference between groups for this antioxidant. There is a significant increase in cortisol level and oxidative stress index in the main group of students from radiation contaminated areas. Conclusions. Potentiation of various stress factors in persons who experienced the prolonged exposure to Chornobyl accident reduces the adaptive potential of homeostatic systems. This eliminates the optimization of lipid metabolism and oxidative-antioxidant system through moderate exercise. Exercise therapy does not cause a pronounced stress effect.

Topicality. Running is one of the most popular activities in the world. Practicing this kind of sport is an important means of physical education, so it occupies one of the first places in the nature of motor actions. Short running race is the oldest type of athletic exercises included in modern athletics. It is characterized by the maximum intensity of the entire distance running at the anaerobic mode. Physical training of a runner for the short running race is divided into general and special. Special physical training of sprint athletes studying at higher education institutions is a multi-year and multifaceted process. It includes physical, tactical, technical and psychological training. The growth of sports results is possible due to the harmonious balance of all training aspects. The methods of intensification of special sprinters training will be effective and pedagogically expedient if it is based on reliable knowledge of the structural components of the athletes training, taking into account individual motor skills indicators. The research purpose is to substantiate the impact of training loads on the special physical training of students who specialize in 100 and 200 meters running races. The research tasks are studying and highlighting the researched problem analysis in domestic and foreign sources; determining the impact of training loads on the female students’ special physical training at sportsmanship improving classes. Methods of the research. Analysis and synthesis of scientific literature sources, dialogues, pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. Results of the research. The success of sprinters training depends on the effectiveness of methods, organization and managemnt of the training process. The use of a significant number of special means of physical and functional training in the training process effectively affected the students physical fitness of the main group. In particular, a probable increase of 100 and 200 meters running results was established, which indicates the girls` anaerobic capacity development who are specialized in the short running race. The indicators of 30 meter flying start run, as well as 100 and 200 meters and shuttle running showed an increased results of female students of the main group. There is a slight increase in speed, coordination and anaerobic-aerobic capacity of female students of the control group. Such results are due to the use of larger number of anaerobic training modes. Conclusions. It is necessary to use a significant number of general and special tools for the formation of physical and functional fitness during the students’ educational and training process. In particular, for the female students` training in short running race, it is advisable to increase the training at anaerobic and anaerobic-aerobic modes, which will promote the development of speed, speed endurance and functionality improving.

Summary Study aim: Physically active adults have been shown to have higher heart rate variability (HRV) than less active adults, but less is known about children in this regard. In adults, training-induced changes in physical performance have been shown to be related to increase in HRV, especially in its high frequency component (HF), which is a marker of parasympathetic activity. The purpose of this study was to examine whether 8 weeks of instructed physical training would improve physical performance and cardiac autonomic function (HRV) in secondary school pupils and to examine the relationship between changes in physical performance and the function of the autonomic nervous system. Material and methods: The test group included 12 girls and 12 boys and the control group 7 girls and 7 boys. All the sub­jects were 13-15 years old. Physical training included warm up, circuit training, endurance training, stretching and relaxation 3 times a week for eight weeks. Endurance training intensity was 70-75% of maximal heart rate. Endurance, flexibility, speed and power were measured before and after training. The low frequency (LF) and high frequency (HF) components of HRV were recorded in supine rest and in standing conditions before and after the eight-week period. Results: Time to exhaustion in the endurance test increased in the test group (p < 0.001), flexibility and ball throwing improved in the test group (p < 0.05), while no changes were observed in the control group. No significant changes were observed in HRV in either group. Conclusions: In conclusion, eight weeks of physical training improves physical performance in children, but it might not affect autonomic cardiac function.

In the pedagogical experiment we established that the use of technologies for the restoration and recreation of the organism, proposed by us, provides an improvement in the indicators of the mental performance of border police employees, expressed in an increase in the productivity of intellectual work and the effectiveness of their visual analyzer, accompanied by the speed of processing visual information and the stability of attention. We found that these technologies improved the physical training of border police employees, which manifested itself in improved speed, general resistance of the organism and of the force capacities, in relation to the control group.

Introduction. Glaucoma is one of the most significant eye diseases. It is often diagnosed, not always amenable to therapy, and can lead to a complete loss of visual functions. In recent years, the method of osteopathic correction has become widespread as one of the effective methods of treatment and rehabilitation of patients with pathologies of various body systems. In the pathogenesis of glaucoma, it is customary to distinguish a dystrophic concept, which considers primary open-angle glaucoma as a result of dystrophic changes in the connective tissue, as well as in the endothelial lining of the trabeculae and Schlemm′s canal, especially destructive changes in mitochondria and the alteration of their functional activity. A vascular concept is also distinguished. According to this concept, the central link in the pathogenesis of glaucoma is circulatory disorder in the ciliary vessels, ocular artery, and major vessels of the head and neck, it can be assumed that osteopathic correction in the treatment of patients with open-angle glaucoma will be pathogenetically substantiated and will have a positive effect on intraocular pressure and trophicity of the optic nerve. The goal of research — to study the influence of in osteopathic correction on the nature of unoperated glaucoma (stage IIA) and to substantiate the possibility of using osteopathic correction in the complex treatment of patients with this pathology.Materials and methods. A prospective controlled randomized study was conducted at 52 city polyclinics, branch 3, Moscow, from January 2018 to January 2019. 40 patients (70 eyes) aged 50 to 75 years with primary open-angle glaucoma IIA stage were examined. At this stage of the disease, patients most often seek medical care and the issue of conservative management is primarily considered. All patients were divided into two groups of 20 people: the main group and the control group. The treatment in the main group included hypotensive drug therapy and osteopathic correction. Patients of the control group received only drug therapy. All patients underwent ophthalmic (visometry, tonometry, perimetry) and osteopathic examination twice: before the treatment and after 3 months.Results. For patients with primary open-angle IIA non-operated glaucoma, regional (most often regions of the head, neck, dura mater) and local (abdominal diaphragm, iliac bones, hip and knee joints) somatic dysfunctions were the most typical. In the main group a statistically significant decrease in the frequency and severity of dysfunctions at all levels was stated. Also, in patients receiving osteopathic correction, a significant decrease in the level of intraocular pressure and perimetric indices was noted. In patients of the control group, no reliable changes in these indicators were obtained.Conclusion. The results obtained indicate that osteopathic correction is clinically effective in the complex treatment of patients with primary open-angle II A glaucoma.

In order to increase the pregnancy rate in the assisted reproductive technology, the selection of one embryo with the highest implantation potential it is very important. Time-lapse microscopy (TLM) is a tool for selecting quality embryos for transfer. This study aimed to assess the benefits of single-embryo transfer of autologous oocytes performed on day 5 of embryo incubation in a TLM-equipped system in IVF and ICSI programs. Single-embryo transfer following incubation in a TLM-equipped incubator was performed in 282 patients, who formed the main group; the control group consisted of 461 patients undergoing single-embryo transfer following a traditional culture and embryo selection procedure. We assessed the quality of transferred embryos, the rates of clinical pregnancy and delivery. The groups did not differ in the ratio of IVF and ICSI cycles, average age, and infertility factor. The proportion of excellent quality embryos for transfer was 77.0% in the main group and 65.1% in the control group (p = 0.001). In the subgroup with receiving eight and less oocytes we noted the tendency of receiving more quality embryos in the main group (р = 0.052). In the subgroup of nine and more oocytes the quality of the transferred embryos did not differ between two groups. The clinical pregnancy rate was 60.2% in the main group and 52.9% in the control group (p = 0.057). The delivery rate was 45.0% in the main group and 39.9% in the control group (p > 0.050).

The objective: the study of immunomodulatory effects of a probiotic, which contains lyophilized Lactobacillus (Lactobacillus rhamnosus) – 13 mg (2,0ґ109 CFU) and lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium lactis) – 4 mg (2,0ґ109 CFU) the level of serum immunoglobulin IgA as a marker of local immunity in the plasma of women of reproductive age with the violation of the biocenosis of the vagina. Patients and methods. The study involved 86 patients of reproductive age with the violation of the vaginal biocenosis, which were divided into two groups according to received treatment. A survey was conducted for all patients in both groups: determine the level of serum IgA, measuring pH of vaginal environment and the quantification of lactobacilli and pathogenic flora with the help of test-system «Florotsenoz» before treatment and in 6 weeks after treatment. The state of vaginal microbiocenosis in both groups before treatment was homogeneous. Patients in both groups as therapy at the first stage of treatment received, if necessary antimicrobial therapy depending on the selected flora. In the second stage (restoration of microflora) patient of the main group received systemic probiotic combined with a complex prebiotic local action, patients in the control group, the probiotic localy in the form of the vaginal candles or tablets. Results. The research stated the increasing level of serum IgA in blood plasma of patients of the main group compared to control group at 20%, normalizing the pH of the vaginal environment in the main group in 94% of cases, which indicates an increase of immunity in mucosal. Conclusion. The inclusion of the systemic probiotic in the scheme of treatment of disorders of biocenosis of the vagina system enhances the increasing of immunity of the mucous membranes, and the vaginal tablets prebiotic of local action restores the own normal microflora of the vagina. The objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Enoxaparin-Pharmex for the prevention of thrombotic complications (pulmonary embolism) in the postoperative period in patients with moderate risk of these complications. Patients and methods. The study included 50 women after a caesarean section had an average degree of risk of pulmonary embolism. Patients were divided into the main group (n=25) and control group (n=25) in accordance with the treatment: patients of the main group received postoperative Еnoxaparin- Pharmex, group comparisons enoxaparin sodium (brand foreign manufacturer’s). Patients in both groups received the drug at a dose of 20 mg for 5 days, 1 time per day subcutaneously. Results. The research data analysis showed identity results of hemostasiogram of patients in the main group and the comparison group, no side effects after treatment in both groups. Conclusion. The clinical studies suggest the drug Enoxaparin-Pharmex is effective, safe LMWH, which can be used to prevent troboembolic complications, including post-operative treatment in obstetric practice. Spectrum of Enoxaparin-Pharmex can be extended to the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic conditions of varying severity with appropriate doses of the drug.
