The evaluation of productive traits of pigs with application methods of population selection and molecular genetic markers

The comprehensive evaluation of the productive traits of the initial genotypes of pigs in the creation of breeding herds using population selection methods has been carried out. Based on the results of evaluating the growth and development of breeding animals using the methods of index selection and DNA testing for the genes markers RYR1, ESR, IGF-2, MUC4 the genealogical structure of breeding herds has been formed on the basis of new stud lines of Belarusian stud type of pigs of Yorkshire breed. It has been found that sows of new lines had high reproduction rates: prolifi cacy was 11,6 piglets, milk capacity was 59,1 kg, number of piglets at weaning was 11,2 heads, and litter weight at weaning was 103,6 kg. The breeding herd of two new stud lines is represented by boars of the line Drug 6805 and Dobry 2313. The average productivity of boars-line continuers was: the age of reaching a live weight of 100 kg to 160 days, the average daily gain from birth to reaching the live weight of 100 kg was 636 g. At the age of 12 months, the live weight and body length of replacement boars were 268 kg and 175 cm, the thickness of the fat was 8,9 mm, the height of the longest back muscle was 51,5 mm, the content of lean meat in the body was 62,6 %, which corresponds to the class “elite”. Boars have been separated into reproductive traits. Improvement of lines is carried out through the continuators of related groups. Analysis of genetic studies of animals of new stud lines has shown that they have a high frequency of occurrence of desirable alleles by genes: RYR1 (stress-resistant animals) – 1,0; IGF-2 (fattening and meat traits) – 0,783; ESR (reproductive traits) – 0,608; MUC4 – (resistance to escherichiosis) – 0,786.

Purpose: evaluation of pigs Yorkshire rocks and Landraz on PRKAG3, MC4R and MyOD1 markers.Materials and methods. The paper presents the analysis of the results of genetic testing, and determines the frequency of alleles and genotypes of Yorkshire and Landrace breeds at the State Enterprise ZhodinoAgroPlemElita" of the Minsk region of the Republic of Belarus by the genes-markers of productive traits: PRKAG3, MC4R and MYOD1. Zootechnical and molecular genetic methods were used in the research (PCR/PDRF). Snapshot analysis was developed for the genotyping of pigs to detect polymorphic markers of meat-feeding productivity of pigs on the Genas PRKAG3, MyOD1, MC4R. At the first stage, there was an assessment of tribal young (173 heads) on its own productivity in terms of indicators: the age of achieving the living mass of 100 kg, the average daily increase (d) from birth to the live weight of 100 kg, the length of the body (cm), the lifetime meat quality of the thickness of the scrape (mm), height of the longest back muscles (mm), the content of meat in the body (%). At the second stage of the research, the controlling fastenings of 200 goals of pigs and evaluation of feedst and meat qualities in the following indicators were carried out: the age of achieving a living mass of 100 kg (days), the average daily increase (d), feed consumption per 1 kg of growth (to. Units). Also determined: the length of the carcass (cm), the slaughter output (%), the thickness of the spick over 6-7 breast vertebrae (mm), the area of "muscular eye" (cm2), the mass of the rear third of the half carcass (kg), the flow of meat in the carcus (%). Then, genetic studies were compared with productivity indicators.Results. As a result of the research, it was found that in the tested animals, the frequency of the preferred allele I-PRKAG3 made 0.171-0.288, A-MC4R – 0.243-0.315, and C-MYOD1 – 0.064-0.477, respectively. The developed comprehensive system for assessing the breeding value of Yorkshire and Landrace pigs based on the marker genes PRKAG3, MC4R, and MYOD1 allowed us to identify the preferred alleles and determine correlation with productivity traits that provided increase in the average population values: for self-productivity - by 2-4%, for fattening traits - by 2.7-12.5%, for meat traits - by 2.8-34.4 %.Conclusion. The use of integrated system in pig breeding will speed up the selection work to increase the indicators of fattening and meat productivity of the created breeding herds of Yorkshire and Landrace pigs.

The purpose of the work was a comprehensive evaluation of the productive and reproductive traits of sows of Yorkshire and Landrace breeds and their offspring under the conditions of a breeding enterprise in the Republic of Belarus. During the studies of reproductive traits, it has been revealed that the highest rate of prolificacy among the evaluated breeds was distinguished by Yorkshire sows 14,0 heads for farrowing. In terms of milk content, Landrace sows were 2,5 kg or 4,57 % higher than Yorkshire sows. In terms of weight and socket weight per piglet at weaning at the age of 28 days sows Landrace piglets surpassed herdmates Yorkshire breed in the weight of the litter by 6,8 %, and the weight of one pig by 0,9 %. It has been found by the results of the evaluation of fattening and meat qualities of purebred young pigs that the best parameters were different gilts of Landrace breeds, whose age achieve the live weight of 100 kg was 163,1 days, and average daily gain of live weight – 864,8 g, which was higher than in young pigs of Yorkshire breed by 1,8 day or 1,09 %, and 28,9 g or by 3,46 %. The young pigs of Landrace breed has been characterized by the best values of the area of the “eye of loin” – 73,8 cm² and the highest yield and amount of meat – 68,5 % and 24 kg, which was 11,4 cm² or 18,2 % and 0,4 kg or 3,5 abs.%, respectively, higher than the herdmates of Yorkshire breed. The results obtained indicate the possibility of using boars and sows of Landrace and Yorkshire breeds not only in breeding, but also in industrial pig breeding.

Mycotoxins have been formed in feed are secondary metabolites of fungi and are quite stable substances that have teratogenic, mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. An effective way to combat mycotoxins in feed is the use of feed additives that adsorb toxins, prevent their absorption in the gastrointestinal tract of the animal and are excreted from the body. The infl uence of coconut enterosorbent Shelltic Es on fattening and meat qualities of young pigs has been studied. It has been found in the process of fattening that the highest feed digestibility was in pigs of the experimental group, in the diet of which enterosorbent has been added. The results of studies of the chemical composition and technological properties of pork have been provided. The positive eff ect of enterosorbent on precocity, absolute average daily gain of live weight and reduction of feed expenditures per 1 kg of gain has been revealed. In pigs from the experimental group the average thickness of the fat was higher and the area of the “muscle eye” was lower compared with animals of the control group, which indicates that higher rates of carcass yield have been obtained due to faster accumulation of fat tissue. The weight of internal organs of pigs indicates the intensity of metabolic processes in the body. In experimental animals the weight of the lungs was 0,1 kg lower, and the liver and heart were higher by 0,13 and 0,01 kg, respectively. Enterosorbent had no effect on the content of vitamins in the liver of pigs of the compared groups. The content of impurities of organochlorine toxicants and toxic elements in the meat and liver of animals of the experimental group was lower than that of control analogues. Therefore, the use of enterosorbent Shelltic Es promotes more active excretion of them from the body.

In dairy cattle breeding, selection and breeding work is widely used in order to transfer the pedigree qualities of parents to the offspring and obtain highly productive young animals. In this regard, in the conditions of «Enbek» LLP in the Akmola region, the growth and development of young Simmental breed depending on the origin was studied. Live weight of Litera line young animals at birth was 33.4 kg, at the age of 6 months-174.9, 12 months-251.8, 18 months-387.1 kg, respectively, Wildfang bull 32.0 kg, 165.5 kg, 251.3 kg, 378.6 kg. The average daily gain between the ages of birth and 6 months was increased. With age, the body parameters, height at the withers, increased from 104.3 cm and 103.5 cm to 125.4 cm and 123.9 cm, respectively, from 6 months to 18 months of young animals. According to the physique indices, we can say that the young Simmental breed is balanced. Only some deviations of the leggy index are observed from the optimal indicators. The index of legginess decreases with age by 7.7%, with indicators of 6 months – by 57%, at the age of 18 months-by 49.3%. The extension index for the period from 6 to 18 months increased by 10.5%, respectively, for 6 months-by 103.3%, for 18 months-by 113.8%. With age and an increase in live weight, the body of young animals lengthens, its width increases, the animal becomes deeper and relatively long-legged. Depending on the origin, we suggest using the Litera bull line, taking into account the growth and development of young animals, and the productivity indicators of bulls.

The influence of probiotic «Evitaliya» hematological, biochemical and immunological parameters of the giant white rabbits in terms of regulatory climate. The studies were performed on young rabbits from birth until 120 days of age, two groups of animals. Experienced groups asked the drug twice a day for 25 ml per head from birth to 30 days of age, and then 50 ml on the head (from 31 – to 90– day age). To assess the effect of the probiotic on the body of the rabbit used hygienic methods of research (definition of temperature and humidity, bacterial obremenjenosti air, light); clinical (body temperature, pulse rate and respiration); hematological (erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes); immunological (bactericidal and lysozyme activity of blood serum, phagocytes index, phagocytes activity of neutrophils (FAN); livestock (live weight and SSP), statistical.Studies found that the use of rabbits with probiotic ferment «Evitaliya» in doses of 25 ml per head and 50 ml / head twice a day for 5 days with breaks of 10 the bottom, contribute to the activation of redox processes in the intestine and the body as a whole, stimulation of humoral and cellular factors of protection, the intensive growth. The studies revealed the following:– increased in the blood of rabbits (age 10–30–60 days) red blood cell count 8.8 – 9.2%, leucocytes – 4,7 – 5,1%, the concentration of hemoglobin – 5.3 – 7.1 per cent– increased humoral factors of protection up to: bactericidal activity of blood serum – to 36.46,0 ± 0.38 – of 55.15 ± 0.40 percent, lysozyme activity of blood serum to 36.14 ± 0.79 – 40.18 ± 0.83;– cellular factors of protection: the phagocytes index from 17 to 19,8%, phagocytes activity of neutrophils – 10.1 – 11.4 per cent;– manifested stimulating effect on live weight and average daily gain from the use of probiotic «Evitaliya».

Based on the analysis of the long-term morbidity of tuberculosis in Russia and the Amur Region, it has been established that its uplifts are performed in cycles of 25-30 years. Taking into account the literature data and our own experiments, it is assumed that each successive outbreak of tuberculosis is caused by coincident activation of L-forms of mycobacteria contained in the body of vaccinated and revaccinated children, adolescents and adults, and by dermal phenotypes inhabiting various environmental sites. To identify the "hidden reserve of mycobacteria" it is recommended to use the method of prints and the transfer of bacteriological laboratories to molecular genetic studies.

One of the main tasks of the development of the national economics of the Altai Republic is a rapid and signifi cant rise in animal husbandry, both in terms of increasing the number of all animal species, and in terms of increasing the productivity of maral breeding. New methods, new breeds, and highly productive types and lines are needed to solve these complex problems. Any breed is characterized by the unique gene pool and is the result of a long, purposeful and hard work. The scientists had the task of breeding and researching a breed type of maral of Altai-Sayan breed, which is common in some regions of the Republic. The object of the research was marals of the breed type has been bred in the APC BF “Tenginsky”, which were distributed both in the Republic of Altai and in other regions of the Russian Federation. In the sharply continental environments of the highlands animals have been bred that are characterized by a large live weight, high antler productivity and reproductive traits. With regard to the typicality and technological properties of antlers, marals in the APC BF “Tenginsky” occupy the first place in the production of antler products and breeding young animals. A complex evaluation of the method for the distinctiveness, uniformity and stability of breed type of marals has shown that the antler productivity of Tenginsky type antlers has higher indicators not only relative to the marals of neighboring farms, but also higher than the average indicators of the AltaiSayan breed by 30 %. Adult Siberian stags of Tenginsky type have live weight in the range 270–350 kg. Marals of the tengin type belong to large deer with a height of 150–165 cm at the withers. The horns of marals of the Tenginsky type are large in size and have 6–7 appendages. A distinctive feature of the main array of antlers in the Tenginsky type of antlers is the presence of short, but thick in girth trunks. The antler productivity of individual Siberian stags reaches 19,0–23,6 kg of raw antlers. The bred type includes high-class animals (91,6 % elite and class I), which annually produce more than 5,5 t of antlers and at least 350 breeding calves.

The purpose of the work was to increase the effectiveness of rearing of young animals and milk production by providing dairy cows with easily digestible sugars obtained from local grain raw materials. The research on the use of grain molasses produced from rye grain in a pilot unit in the Sharkansky RTP UZHK-1000 in feeding cattle of Kholmogorskaya breed under the environments of the Udmurt Republic has been carried out. The innovative small-sized treacle unit operating on the basis of the principle of cavitation technology is designed for the enzymatic cleavage of grain polysaccharides to a more accessible form of sugars for assimilation. It has been revealed that the feeding of grain molasses to young cattle in the amount of 3 kg/head/day had a positive effect on the increase in the average daily gain of live weight and the intensity of growth of animals. In the first-calf heifers in control group the age of achieving the first insemination was 14,7 months with the live weight of 374,6 kg, in the first-calf heifers in experimental group it was 13,8 months, while their live weight was 378,2 kg. The insemination index in the first-calfheifers of the control group was satisfactory and amounted to 2,0, and in the cows of the experimental group it was good – 1,6 (P ≥ 0,95). The maximum milk productivity of first-calf heifers for 305 days of lactation has been recorded in the cows of the experimental group, where grain molasses was used, and amounted to 7702,0 kg, which was more than in the control group by 157 kg or 2,1% (P ≥ 0,95). Milk from cows of the experimental group was the most suitable for the production of fermented milk products. The physical and chemical parameters of milk were also higher in the group in which grain molasses has been fed. The lowest consumption of milk for the production of 1 kg of cottage cheese was noted in the experimental group of cows 6,43 kg, the same trend has been observed in the production of cheese where the consumption was 8,7 kg.

For the first time, the rationale of using polystim in the technology of calf rearing in private subsidiary plots, on small and medium farms has been scientifically substantiated and experimentally proved to activate the protective and adaptive functions of the body to the keeping conditions and to more fully realize the biological potential of resistance and productivity. Thus, live weight, average daily gain and growth rate of young cattle of the experimental group were higher by the end of the observation period (180 days) than in the control group: in the conditions of personal subsidiary plots by 6.6 kg, 33.3 g and 0.28, on small farms - by 5.2 kg, 20.0 g and 0.08, and with the technology of keeping on a medium farm - by 4.8 kg, 13.3 g and 0.23 (P<0.05 ) respectively. The dynamics of exterior measurements of animals of all groups were similar to the nature of changes in their live weight and their average daily gain. At the same time, the incidence of respiratory organs diseases and the gastrointestinal tract in newborn calves was reduced to 25-40%, the duration of the disease was reduced by 2.45; 1.31 and 1.93 days (P<0.05-0.001).

Entry. The genesis of the Simmental breed of milk and meat direction of productivity in Ukraine lasted from imports of foreign (Swiss, Austrian) cattle and the creating of a large array of domestic breeding with a large number of genealogical groups (about 80 lines), to the conversion of the best to speeding up in the domestic Ukrainian Red-and-White Dairy breed dairy productivity. A long process of selection (about one and a half century) has created essentially a new combined Simmental productivity. The array that was created, and that since the mid 90's of the 15 regions and under 39,2 % of the total population of all breeds were characterized by a harmonious structure of the body, strong and dense constitution by well developed muscles. The average live weight of cows of the best breeding plants was 603 kg according to level of milk production of over 5000 kg. The goal of the research was to analyze the breeding stock for the breeding and productive qualities, which ensures systematic monitoring of status and trends of breed processes in population of Simmental breed in Ukraine. Materials and methods of research. Investigations were carried out on breeding stock Simmental 19-herds of 12 regions of Ukraine as of 1 January 2016. For a comprehensive evaluation used data from the population, the productivity of dairy cows (305 days of the last completed lactation), exterior, reproduction, rearing, presence and condition of cows with high performance  and genealogical structure. The results of the research. The driving factor of progress of region breeds is the number of breeding animals in the active population. According to the State registry of subjects of breeding business in animal husbandry the share of Simmental breed in Ukraine on January 1, 2016 the number is 3.1 %, including cows 3.43 percent. So, according to our data selection work with the Simmental breed in Ukraine is carried out in two breeding farms, and 18 breeding reproducers, and their breeding stock has 7840 goals. The average age 4300 Simmental cows in the calving is 3,6 ± 0,30. The distribution of the calving showed a tendency, according to which there is a gradual decrease in the proportion of cows starting with the fresh cows to the fifth calving by 9% and rapid to 10 and older (19.6 %). In breeding nucleus was allocated 1,403 cows, representing 32.6% of the number of the females. It was examined udder shape 900 fresh cows, of which 60% are similar to bath and 40% similar to a cup of milk at an average intensity of 1,90 ± 0,027 kg / min. The intensity of milk output for 45% of the fresh cows is at the level of 1.8 ... of 2.19 kg/min and 21% of fresh cows – above 2,20 kg/min. The type of body structure cows 3913 - 40% were rated "excellent" and only 1% "satisfactory" in 1059 fresh cows corresponding values are 38 and 1%. The genealogical structure of the Simmental breed in Ukraine is represented by two breeds, actually Simmental and Holstein red . Holstein red has 8 lines, among which the most numerous are the Starbuck 352790  (423 goal.) and Chifa 1427381 (323 goal.) for pairing was involved 18 of the bulls in 11 herds with a total population of 1046 of goals, including the 406 cows. Among the lines Simmental only 9.6% of broodstock take seven domestic breeding lines, which are concentrated mainly in the farms of Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky and Kharkiv regions. Conclusions. Monitoring the condition in the population Simmental in Ukraine and the development of economically useful traits of breeding stock confirmed the general trend of reducing the number. So, if in the early of the 2000s the proportion of Simmental cattle was 5.3%, whereas in 2015 it decreased by 1.8% to 3.5%. Milk yield of cows in the the average is 5373 kg, 3.86% fat content and 3.17% protein in milk by live weight of 579 kg. The average age of disposals is 3.7 cows calving. The main causes of disposal of cows is low productivity and reproductive ability accounting for 54%, the average age of 3.7 calvings. The genealogical structure is represented by lines Simmental (domestic and foreign selection) and Holstein breeds. The share of domestic Simmental breed lines in Ukraine is not more than 10 %.
