The phenomenon of pedagogical heritage of an outstanding scientist, teacher and organizer of scientific work Vasily Loburets is discovered in the article. It is proved that his scientific and pedagogical conception is the driving force for retro revival of the progressive achievements of the national higher education and is an important factor in the production of new pedagogical knowledge, creation of innovative educational systems and technologies. V. Loburets is a prominent educator who combining scientific and educational activities for over 50 years (1956–2006), taught historical sciences at V.G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University. It has been found that the scientist has made the significant didactic and organizational efforts to the establishment of historical education system. V. Loburets is the founder of the national scientific and pedagogical school, the author of the original textbooks, scientific methodological manuals, and a brilliant lecturer. For his meaningful pedagogical activity he was awarded many state awards. It is established that the combination of fundamentality and innovativeness as a characteristic feature is observed in all the components of scientist’s creative work, in particular: development of methodology of scientific and educational knowledge; enrichment the content, methods and forms of teaching historical disciplines; improvement lecturing skills; writing textbooks and manuals for higher schools; establishing the author’s scientific school. The study proved that the idea concerning the defining role of education in socio-economic and cultural development of society had been substantiated by V. Loburets. In the current context of growing crisis phenomena in society – environmental, informational, demographic, national and others – humanity consciously refers to prognostic and anticipatory functions of education. Not by accident the XXI century is proclaimed “the century of education” by UNESCO. Today there is an axiomatic view that without fundamental education it is impossible to realize personality, to build a state. Only the citizens’ level of education determines the place of the state in the global society and the development of civilization. Therefore his idea of about the defining role of education, in particular technical one, in socio-economic and cultural development of society, the necessity of its development for the progress of humanity and state sounds very topically today. The scientist had proved the idea of continuous education, the importance of its content renovation through the integration of scientific knowledge. In this regard, he emphasized systemically important nature of didactic content of the academic disciplines, which had been considered by the scientists as pedagogically developed systems that match students’ capabilities and bring their understanding of the foundations of modern science. The study proved that the creative work of V. Loburets is a set of theoretical ideas, methodological achievements and advanced experience of activity according to the criteria of significance and topicality, thoroughness and perspectivity, intensity and time appropriateness that should consider expediently as a combined phenomenon of fundamentality and innovativeness.

The aim of the paper is to study the role of the mundane in contemporary culture based on the mundane science fiction (MSF). The term originated in 2004 thanks to «The Mundane Manifesto» by Geoff Ryman and his anonymous co-authors who argued for a focus on the modern science paradigm instead of dreams of outer space. The Manifesto outlines SF subgenre, where the setting is in the near future on the Earth or within the Solar System, excluding interstellar travel or contact with aliens. MSF suggests the believable use of technology and science, as it exists at the current time or a plausible extension of existing technology. There is a debate about the genre limits and its canonical works since it also covers cyberpunk, dystopia, etc. Remarkably, in the Soviet literature, such a genre called «near-future science fiction» existed in the 1940s and 1950s. It is a subgenre of «hard» SF focusing on the inventions useful for the national economy and lacking psychological depth of characters. This literature mostly had low artistic quality because of the Soviet ideological pressure and many limitations. The benefits of the paper are the following. First, the author distinguishes between two ma in approaches to SF, namely a more practical and literal reception and a more metaphorical reception. The former is characteristic of readers of realistic literature who try to find the true-to-life elements in SF blamed as escapism. The latter is close to the SF fans. However, blaming SF for escapism seems an excessive sociologizing of literature and ignoring the great role of metaphor in cultural development. Consequently, MSF is an effort to bridge a gap between SF and realistic literature. Second, the paper presents the first attempt to compare MSF to the Soviet «near-future SF». The author argues that since such a «near-future SF» occupies a niche in Western literature, it is a sign of the global changesthat are taking place during the lifetime of the current generation, bringing, in addition to progress, the acute threat of environmental catastrophe. Moreover, the role of neo Marxism, on the one hand, and technophobia, on the other hand, are emphasized. Third, for the first time the possible connections between MSF and the frontier myth important for the American national cultural mythology are studied. At the core of Kim Stanley Robinson’s novel «Aurora» (2015) and James Gray’s movie «Ad Astra» (2019), MSF is regarded as a rejection of the ideology «space: the final frontier». Both works shift the focus from the global to the personal, from the unusual to the mundane, from expansion and colonization to the internal problems. The author concludes that the anthropological turn occurs in SF as well: there is a loss of metaphor, allegory, and archetypal basis, an abandonment of escapism, Enlightenment utopianism, belief in progress, romanticism, and industrialism in favor of more realistic view on the future of humankind. Unfortunately, in many cases, «mundane» means not only «mature» but «boring» here, making SF more science than fiction.

The article focuses on the publications of Russian émigrés, published in the first ecclesiastical printing house in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, which opened in 1925 in the city of Niš. The article describes the history of its foundation, as well as the reorganization of its activities during the economic crisis of the first half of the 1930s, which opened another “Russian episode” (besides the foundation itself) in the history of Niš printing house. At that time the main role belonged to the two Russian refugees living in Niš - Artem Bellubekov, who was appointed to the position of the head of the printing house, and Nikolay Makarenko, who worked as the main binder and graphic artist. The article also contains a review of publications by two authors - Alexander Petrovich Kurachinov and Elisaveta Glukhovtsova, whose books were published in the printing house “Saint Emperor Constantin” in the city of Niš in the 1940s. The authors hope that this article will play an important role in informing contemporary researchers of the Russian émigré́ about the creative work of A.P. Kurachinov and E. Glukhovtsova, which so far has not come to the attention of scholars. The collected material can be useful for further study of the role of Russian emigration in southeastern Serbia and its impact on the cultural development of this region. The material can also contribute to a deeper understanding of the specifics of activities of representatives of émigré́ movement in this territory, which were free of influence of large emigrant centers. The authors of the paper also pay attention to the fate of the printing house of the Pochaev Lavra, which continued its existence in the structure of the printing house “Saint Emperor Constantin” of the city of Niš.

The subject of alignment is not new to the world of education. Today however, it has come to mean different things and to have a heuristic value in education according to research in different areas, not least for neuroscience, and to attention to skills and to the alternation framework. This paper, after looking at the classic references that already attributed an important role to alignment in education processes, looks at the strategic role of alignment in the current context, outlining the shared construction processes and focusing on some of the ways in which this is put into effect.Alignment is part of a participatory, enactive approach that gives a central role to the interaction between teaching and learning, avoiding the limits of behaviourism, which has a greater bias towards teaching, and cognitivism/constructivism, which focus their attention on learning and in any case, on that which separates a teacher preparing the environment and a student working in it.

David Hoinski and Ronald Polansky’s “The Modern Aristotle: Michael Polanyi’s Search for Truth against Nihilism” shows how the general tendencies of contemporary philosophy of science disclose a return to the Aristotelian emphasis on both the formation of dispositions to know and the role of the mind in theoretical science. Focusing on a comparison of Michael Polanyi and Aristotle, Hoinski and Polansky investigate to what degree Aristotelian thought retains its purchase on reality in the face of the changes wrought by modern science. Polanyi’s approach relies on several Aristotelian assumptions, including the naturalness of the human desire to know, the institutional and personal basis for the accumulation of knowledge, and the endorsement of realism against objectivism. Hoinski and Polansky emphasize the promise of Polanyi’s neo-Aristotelian framework, which argues that science is won through reflection on reality.

The article analyzes V.V. Rozanov’s conceptions of antiquity, Middle Ages and new history. Rozanov singles out three periods of Russian history – Kiev, Vladimir-Moscow and Petersburg ones. The essence of each of those periods the philosopher consecutively correlates with adoption of Christianity, political organization formation and the beginning of individual creative work dominance. While interpreting his contemporary events as a public person and a journalist, Rozanov regards earlier epochs from the position of a myth-creator. The diverse historical process gives way to the literary and static image of the epoch. The author of the article pays special attention to how Rozanov characterizes historical personalities, to his views on the role of religion, state, bureaucracy and parliamentarism.

The purpose of this study is the analysis of limit situation in the narrative of war. The material of the study is the novel of Daniil Granin “My Lieutenant” and related texts. In the first part of the paper, the authors explore existing approaches to the term “limit situation” and similar concepts into scientific and philosophical traditions; limits of its applicability in literary studies and its relation to the categories of “narrative instances” and “event”. Proposed a literary-theoretical definition of the limit situation, which can be used in the analysis of fiction texts. Existing approaches to the examination of the situation of war are analyzed: philosophical-existential, psychoanalytic, sociological, literary. In the second part of the paper, the authors propose their method for analyzing limit situations in texts about war, which basis on existing approaches and preserves the text-centric principle of studying the structure of the story. Two interrelated areas of research have been identified: the study of war as a continuous limit situation in the intertextual aspect (the discourse of war); the study of limit situations (death, suffering, guilt, accident) in the narrative of war as part of a specific text. In the third part of the scientific work, the analysis of war as a continuous limit situation results in the study of the concept of “limit” (border) in a fiction text. The role of “limit” (border) concept in the texts about the war is studied, the possible types of limits in the discourse of war are examined. Limit situations in the narrative of war are analyzed on the basis of the novel “My Lieutenant” by Daniil Granin. A review of journalistic and scientific works about the novel revealed both the continuity and the differences between the novel and the “lieutenant” prose of the 20th century. An analysis of the limit situations in the novel revealed their key position in the narrative. These situations are independent of the fiction time, of the fluctuation of the point of view’; the function of the abstract author is to build the narrative as a “directive” immersion of the hero and narrator in these situations.

Panchakarma is a fruitful measure and its extensive efficacies are classified in different dimensions to cure different types of complicated diseases. Vamana, Virechana, Niruha, Anuvasana and Nasya are the five procedures and subsequently even Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Rakta Mokshana are broadly termed as Panchakarma in day to day practices. The new diseases are evolving with intense gravity and therefore to combat those, Panchakarma is a very effective measure. In present era competition and advancement have led to hectic and stressful life, man has eventually forgotten the absolute enjoyment and solitary affection of nature and as a result is facing many health problems. Gridhrasi is no exception, it is correlated to sciatica in modern science where low back ache radiating to toes in the lateral aspect of the thigh associated with stiffness is the main complaint.

More than 150 cities around the world have expanded emergency cycling and walking infrastructure to increase their resilience in the face of the COVID 19 pandemic. This tendency toward walking has led it to becoming the predominant daily mode of transport that also contributes to significant changes in the relationships between the hierarchy of walking needs and walking behaviour. These changes need to be addressed in order to increase the resilience of walking environments in the face of such a pandemic. This study was designed as a theoretical and empirical literature review seeking to improve the walking behaviour in relation to the hierarchy of walking needs within the current context of COVID-19. Accordingly, the interrelationship between the main aspects relating to walking-in the context of the pandemic- and the different levels in the hierarchy of walking needs were discussed. Results are presented in five sections of “density, crowding and stress during walking”, “sense of comfort/discomfort and stress in regard to crowded spaces during walking experiences”, “crowded spaces as insecure public spaces and the contribution of the type of urban configuration”, “role of motivational/restorative factors during walking trips to reduce the overload of stress and improve mental health”, and “urban design interventions on arrangement of visual sequences during walking”.
