The purpose of this research is to describe the fulfillment of needs as a process of self-actualization of the main characters who support in the form of business, difficulties, and achievement.This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The data used in this study is verbal, in the form of words, phrases or sentences obtained from research data sources, namely the text of the novel Laskar Pelangi by Andrea Hirata.The research results show that Ikal was able to actualize himself by getting a scholarship to study abroad after going through various failures such as being a badminton athlete and writer. Previously, Ikal succeeded in fulfilling the first stage, namely his physiological needs by working as a letter sorter. Second, the security needs achieved by relying on his own abilities so that Ikal feels safe when doing his work even though he must have discrimination from the head of the expedition.Third, the attainment of love needs and the existence achieved in a way loving his childhood friend, the love of his best friend, and family even by making various kinds of sacrifice. Fourth, Ikal can achieve the appreciation needs by equip himself with some knowledge so as to get praise from the jury even though he previously had difficulty in dividing time between study and work.Key Words: physiological needs, security needs, love and presence needs, appreciation needs, and self-actualization needs.

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pengaruh tahta tertinggi dan perlawanan kaum subaltern pada novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan teori postkolonialisme Gayatri Spivak. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini  mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data novel Arok Dedes  yang berkisah tentang kudeta di Tanah Jawa. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, kalimat, paragraf, yang terdapat dalam novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan teori poskolonial Ggayatri Spivak. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi atau pustaka. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisia deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian adalah pengaruh tahta tertinggi dan perlawanan kaum subaltern pada novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer.Kata kunci: Subaltern, poskolonial, pengaruh tahta, perlawananABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the influence of the highest throne and the resistance of the subalterns on the novel Arok Dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer by using the postcolonialism theory of Gayatri Spivak. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The approach in this study using a qualitative approach because in this study used Arok Dedes story novel as data sources  which is about a coup in Java. This research data is words, sentences, paragraphs, contained in Arok Dedes novel by Pramoedya Anan ta Toer by using postcolonial Ggayatri Spivak theory. Data collection techniques in this study used the method of documentation or literature . The data analysis technique of this study used descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study are the influence of the highest throne and the resistance of the subalterns on the novel Arok Dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Keywords: Subaltern, postcolonial, influence of throne, resistance

The purpose of this study was to find out how much management of retribution in the tourism sector as a supporting effort in increasing Regional Original Revenue in Katingan Regency. This study uses qualitative research. Data sources consist of primary sources (Head of Service, Secretary, Head of Division, Head of Section, Employees, and Community). Techniques for collecting data by observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results of the Katingan Regency Youth and Sports Agency are expected to be able to use as a reference in overcoming existing constraints so that PAD originating from regional retribution can increase. The approach method used in this study is a sociological juridical approach method, because it involves problems that are normatively regulated in legislation and also there are links with sociological variables, namely regarding that: The results of the study can be shown that the District Regulation No. 6 of 2009 that generally in accordance with Law No. 28 of 2009 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Levies.

This research motivated by the existence of Islamic religious values in novel God's I Back by Haidar Musyafa. The value of Islamic religion in terms of the value of aqidah, sharia values and moral values by Haidar Musyafa. The purpose of this research to describe the values of aqidah, shari'a and morals in novel by Haidar Musyafa. The type of research is qualitative research. The method used in this research descriptive method of analysis. The data of this research are religious data about the value of creed, morals and characters contained in the novel by Haidar Musyafa. Based on the analysis of research data can be concluded that the value of aqid contained in the novel Haidar Musyafa's, namely (a) faith to Allah SWT (belief in Allah) seen on the character Umi stating that God's promise that His pleasure depends on the pleasure of both parents. (b) faith in the books of Allah swt reflected on the character of Jefry who likes to read the holy verses of the Qur'an in the race. Sharia value is depicted on Apih figures who ordered their children to perform congregational prayers and chips in order not to leave the prayer. Furthermore, the moral values are (a) morals towards Allah (khalik) is depicted on the character of Jefry who initially have habbit not good then repent to be good people. (b) morals towards humans depicted on the character Jefry who like do something not good, being rude and not obeying the words of parents.

This study was conducted to describe (1) the type of abreviation and (2) the formation of abreviation in the weekly newspaper of Padang Ekspres in January 2018. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. This research data is a kind of abreviation (abbreviations, acronyms, fragments, contractions, and symbols) that exist in the news sentences of the weekly newspaper Padang Ekspres January 2018. The data sources of this research in the newspaper Padang Ekpres Weekly edition in January 2018. Based on the results of data analysis obtained two research findings. First, the type of abreviation in the weekly newspaper Padang Ekspres January 2018, found five types of abreviation, namely (a) abbreviation, (b) acronym, (c)fragments, (d) contractions, and (e) symbols. Second, the formation of abreviation in the weekly newspaper Padang Ekspres January 2018, consists of four processes. (a) The formation of abbreviations consisting of: the first letters of each component; first letters with conjunction, preposition, reduplication, articulation and word; first letters; and first and third letter. (b) The formation of acronyms and contractions consisting of: the first syllabus of each component; first of each component, first two letters of each component, the first three letters of each component, the first two letters of the first two and the first two letters of the second component together with the deletion; and the sequence of various letters and syllables difficult to formulate. (c) The formation of a fragment consist of: that is letters the last syllable of a word and partial splitting sequence. (d) The formation of letter symbol consisting of: that is symbol of letters that characterize size consisting of first letters of consolidation of component, letter symbol expressing data number, and symbol letters that mark currency. This study aims to: (a) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyo; (b) describe the movie episode of Winter In Tokyo by director Fajar Bustomi; (c) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyonovel with Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research data is the episode of novelty novel Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film directed by Fajar Bustomi. Data collection techniques have three stages. First, read Ilana Tan's Winter In Tokyo novel, and then follow Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. Second, the data collection phase of the novel episode of Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film by director Fajar Bustomi were collected through recording and observation techniques. Third, the stage of inventorying data into data inventory format. The research findings are episodes of 24 novel episodes, while in the film there are 24 episodes. In the film there are 6 additional episodes, and a reduction of 14 episodes, while the episode of a novel story that changes varies after being turned into a movie, found 7 episodes. It happens because of the creativity of the director while adapting the novel to the movie.Keywords: novel, movie, ekranisasi, episode

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendekripsikan tanggapan pembaca terhadap novel Le Petit Prince (2) mendeskripsikan horizon harapan pembaca terhadap novel Le Petit Prince, dan (3) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab perbedaan tanggapan dan horizon harapan pembaca. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa teks yang memuat tanggapan pembaca novel Le Petit Princeyang terdiri dari 20 orang, sedangkan sumber datanya berupa artikel dan makalah yang dimuat di media massa cetak dan elektronik termasuk internet. Instrumen penelitian berupa seperangkat konsep tentang pembaca, tanggapan pembaca, dan horizon harapan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi dan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang didapat sebagai berikut. (1) Seluruh pembaca menanggapi atau menilai positif unsur tema, alur, tokoh, latar, sudut pandang, gaya bahasa, teknik penceritaan, bahasa, dan isi novel Le Petit Prince. (2) Harapan sebagian besar pembaca sebelum membaca novel Le Petit Prince sesuai dengan kenyataan ke sembilan unsur di dalam novel Le Petit Prince, sehingga pembaca dapat dengan mudah menerima dan memberikan pujian pada novel Le Petit Prince. (3) Faktor penyebab perbedaan tanggapan dan horizon harapan pembaca selain perbedaan stressing unsur yang ditanggapi juga karena perbedaan pengetahuan tentang sastra, pengetahuan tentang kehidupan, dan pengalaman membaca karya sastra.Kata kunci: tanggapan pembaca, horizon harapan, Le Petit PrinceAbstractThis study aims to (1) describe reader’s responses to the novel Le Petit Prince (2) to describe the reader's expectations horizon of Le Petit Prince's novel, and (3) to describe the factors causing differences in responses and the horizon of readers' expectations. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type. The research data consist of a set of paragraphs that contains readers' responses to Le Petit Prince's novel, while the data sources are articles and papers published in print and electronic mass media including the internet. The research instruments are a set of reader concepts, reader responses, and expectations horizon. The technique of collecting data is observation and data are analyzed by using qualitative descriptive technique. The results obtained are as follow: (1) All readers respond and valuethe theme elements,plots, characters, background, point of view, language, titles, storytelling techniques, language, and extrinsic novel Le Petit Prince positively. (2) The expectations of most readers before reading Le Petit Prince's novels are in accordance with the nine facts in Le Petit Prince's novel, so readers can easily accept and give prise to Le Petit Prince's novel. (3) Factors causing differences in responses and horizon of readers' expectations other than the stressing differences of the elements being addressed also due to the differences in knowledge of literature, knowledge of life and literary reading experience. <p><em>This study aims to describe the intertextuality relationship between the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari and Calabai by Pepi Al-Bayqunie. The type of research is descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. Data are collected by inventorying events that are similarities and differences, specifications on the characters, settings, plots, and themes of both text. The research results indicate that there are similar themes on the two novels, the theme of self actualization in addition with the theme of family and friendship. The same characterization are also used by both author, masculine figures with feminine soul characters. The difference between the two novels lies on the plot and setting. Pasung Jiwa uses progressive plot and Calabai uses a flash-back plot.. Okky Madasari takes Java Island as the background in the novel Pasung Jiwa, while the novel Calabai, Pepi Al-Bayqunie using the setting of Sulawesi Island. The basis of the similarity of theme and characterization supported by the similirity of events in the story shows the existence of intertextual relationship between the two novels. As a previously published work, the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari is a hipogram and novel Calabai by Pepi A-Bayqunie as a transformational text. On the theme and characterization, the transformation of Calabai forward the hypogram, while in the plot and setting deviates his hypogram, Pasung Jiwa.</em></p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan intertekstualitas antara novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari dan novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan konten analisis. Data dikumpulkan dengan menginventariskan peristiwa yang merupakan persamaan dan perbedaan, spesifikasi pada tokoh, latar, alur, dan tema dari kedua teks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesamaan tema pada kedua novel, yaitu tema aktualisasi diri, ditambah dengan tema keluarga dan persahabatan. Penokohan yang sama juga digunakan oleh kedua penulis, yaitu tokoh maskulin dengan karakter jiwa feminin. Perbedaan kedua novel terletak pada alur dan latar. Pasung Jiwa menggunakan alur maju dan Calabai menggunakan alur campuran. Latar dalam novel Pasung Jiwa, Okky Madasari mengambil latar Pulau Jawa, sedangkan novel Calabai, Pepi Al-Bayqunie menggunakan latar Pulau Sulawesi. Dasar kesamaan tema dan penokohan didukung kesamaan peristiwa-peristiwa dalam cerita menunjukkan adanya hubungan intertekstual antara kedua novel. Sebagai karya yang terbit terlebih dahulu menjadikan novel Pasung Jiwa karya Okky Madasari adalah hipogram dan novel Calabai karya Pepi Al-Bayqunie sebagai teks transformasi. Pada tema dan penokohan, transformasi Calabai meneruskan hipogram, sedangkan pada alur dan latar menyimpangi hipogramnya, Pasung Jiwa.</p>

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mendeskripsikan informasi tentang implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di SD Sukorejo Kecamatan Gurah Kabupaten Kediri khususnya pada tahap pembiasaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data yakni Kepala Sekolah, Guru Kelas dan siswa. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data melalui tiga tahap yakni data reduksi, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di SD Sukorejo Gurah Kediri, penerapan literasi masih sampai pada tahap pembiasaan. Upaya sekolah untuk menggiatkan gerakan literasi adalah dengan cara membiasakan membaca buku non pelajaran 15 menit sebelum kelas dimulai, menata lingkungan yang mendukung literasi dan melibatkan mitra dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan literasi. Terdapat beberapa hal yang menjadi faktor pendukung dalam kegiatan ini yakni semangat siswa-siswi dalam membaca buku, terdapat buku pengayaan yang disediakan dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak. Sedangkan faktor penghambat pembiasaan kegiatan membaca adalah belum optimalnya pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah ini karena belum sepenuhnya rutin dilaksanakan. ABSTRACT This study tried to describe about the implementation of School Literacy Movement in Sukorejo Elementary School in Kediri, especially in the process of literacy habituation and development. The research used descriptive qualitative research. Data sources are Principal, Class Teachers and students. Data collection in this study was by observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results showed that at SD Sukorejo Gurah Kediri, the application of literacy was still at the stage of habituation and development. The principal tried to intensify the literacy movement are by getting used to read non-lesson books 15 minutes before class starts, arranging an environment that supports literacy and involving partners in the implementation of literacy activities. There are several aspects can support school literacy in this school that are enthusiasm of students in reading books, enrichment books provided and support from various parties. Whereas the inhibiting factor for the habit of reading activities is the not yet optimal implementation of the school literacy movement because it has not been fully routinely implemented.

Reflection of Social Conflict between Characters in the Novel “Negeri di UjungTanduk” By Tere Liye. This study aims to reflect and explained back the socialconflict between characters in the novel dalam novel “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk”by Tere Liye by using approaches and types qualitative research. Data in the formof sentences and discourse contained in novel quotations. The method used in thisresearch is descriptive methode. Based on the results that have been found, themore dominant characteristics of social conflict are manifest social conflicts.Social conflict are more common in the Thomas who have open conflict with otherfigures. Social conflict experiendced by the characters have different place, time,and atmosphere settings.
