This research is intended to evaluate the efficiency of proceures and processes used by the King AbdulazizInternational Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with the help of Six Sigma. For, we have framed differentobjectives for analyzing the effect of six sigma in decision makings and quality control of the KAIA. The aim is also tofind out the relationship of Six Sigma on an information system used by KAIA. We have used the qualitative researchmethod (semi-structured interview method) with the target population of five employees working at KAIA. Qualitativedata was collected from participants through transcribed, audio-recorded and codes. Thematic analysis was carriedout in order to obtain the study result. Our study finds that there is a significant effect of Six Sigma in streamlining ofall the processes of KAIA, which contributed towards the improvement of the quality and providing better control. Wefound that the KAIA applies KPIs to measure the decision makin, empowering the decision makers or managers. Wehave also reflected on the role of Six Sigma towards the effective performance of individuals in finance, customersupport, and internal business process and team development.

Background: The positive association between adverse life events and somatoform disorders is a consistent observation. But no systematic studies have evaluated the relationship between health-related life events (HLEs) in patients with somatic symptom disorder (SSD)/somatoform disorders. Aim: To examine the nature and relationship of HLE in patients with SSD and to assess the correlates of HLE. Methods: A total of 50 adult patients with SSD and 50 matched healthy controls from a Neuropsychiatric hospital were recruited. Sociodemographic interview, scale for assessment of somatic symptoms (SASS), Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15) and a semi-structured interview schedule to gather information on HLE were used. Results: Patients in the SSD group had a significantly higher number of total HLE in general (4.72 ± 2.63, 3.36 ± 1.92; p = .004), major HLE (1.48 ± 1.45, 0.68 ± 0.94; p = .006), during their lifetime in comparison to controls. Infections, trauma, non-communicable diseases and reproductive system–related diseases were the more common types of HLE in SSD group. Conclusion: Our findings may implicate a role of major HLE of patients and HLE of their family members in the pathophysiology of SSD.

The main objective of the present study is to examine the role stress among government and private doctors. A sample of 60 male and female doctors was drawn randomly drawn from the population. The organizational role stress (ORS) developed by Pareek was used for data collection. Data was collected by face to face interview method from the target population from different hospitals of Anand district. Mean, standard deviation and t-test were calculated for the analysis of data. Results indicate that there is no significant difference among government and private doctors in role of stress.

Any organization desires to have an environment of less job stress, committed employees, and impressive performance in every dimension of their organization. The study at hand is designed to find how fun is related to organizational commitment, creative performance, and job stress. The study is qualitative in nature and used a single case-study design as a research strategy. The target population is an institution of higher studies. Sixteen faculty members from the institute participated. The faculty members were interviewed to find out the relationship of fun with the aforementioned constructs. Findings indicated that people had felt more commitment towards the organization due to fun at the workplace. Fun also proved to be instrumental in enhancing creative performance and reducing job stress. The study provides incentivize directions to institutions and make employees productive cum creative performers. Along with the implementers the policymakers can take benefit from the study.

Workplace stress is a common cause of many diseases. It may be intensified by staying in one room for many hours and being exposed to unfavorable environmental stimuli. The role of designers may be important in shaping the work environment favorable to the mental comfort of building users. The aim of the article is to review the solutions used in the architecture of public and commercial (office) buildings, as well as in interior designs and landscape projects, helpful to reduce the level of stress that may arise in the workplace. The adopted research methodology includes the analysis of selected examples of design solutions, literature studies and the anthropological research carried out by the author using the structured interview method. The result of the review is the collection of a rich set of design methods, which allow to shape the work environment favorable to the mental health of users of public and commercial buildings. The conducted research allows to conclude that designers have a wide range of measures which enables to shape a work environment that is beneficial for mental health. The range of these possibilities in the hands of architects is constantly growing, and they should be constantly aware of it. In addition, listening to the needs of users of existing buildings may lead designers to new solutions.

Tourism plays a vital role in getting to know and understand each other. In this regard, the main purpose of this research chapter is to understand the relationship between tourism and attitude change and the factors affecting this relationship. Firstly, the role of tourism in changing attitudes is discussed within the framework of Allport's Contact Hypothesis, and then qualitative research results are given. The phenomenology research design was used in the research, and the interview method was preferred in obtaining data. Six open-ended questions were asked to 12 tourists, who came to Şırnak, determined by the purposeful sampling method, with a semi-structured interview form. The answers given by the participants were determined by the descriptive analysis method. The research reveals that tourism is critical in eliminating problems between societies, opening social communication channels, reducing prejudices, and making existing attitudes more positive.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of stakeholder perceptions towards the implementation of PM by the heads of schools in public secondary schools in Nyamagana District. The study adopted a mixed approach through the use of the questionnaire and the interview schedule. The target population of the study comprised a DEO, WEOs, heads of public secondary schools and teachers from Nyamagana District totaling 1249. A total of 194 respondents were selected by using purposive and simple random sampling techniques which included 174 teachers, 12 heads of schools, 7 WEOs and 1 DEO. The study used questionnaires and semi-structured interview as data collection tools. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and themes. The study revealed that both teachers and heads of schools are aware of their role in implementing performance management. The study recommends that the government should conduct seminars and workshops so that teachers can appreciate the role of heads of schools in implementing PM so that they can support its implementation. Furthermore, the government and policy makers should provide adequate resources and simplify the process so that it is easily embraced by teachers and implemented by the heads of schools.

More than twenty-five years ago the Global Solar UV index (UVI) has been introduced as a simple means of visualizing the intensity of ultraviolet radiation and to alert people to the need for sun protection. In our survey among directors of 436 kindergartens in southern Germany we investigated the level of awareness and knowledge about the UVI as well as the practical consequences for sun protection in kindergartens. Less than half of the directors (n=208, 47.7%) had ever heard of the UVI, and only a small minority of them (n=34, 8.7%) used the daily UVI information to adapt sun protective measures in their kindergartens. Detailed knowledge about the UVI was a rarity among the respondents. The proportion of respondents with self-perceived detailed UVI knowledge was five times higher than actual knowledge assessed by an in-depth structured interview using open-ended questions about the UVI (14.2% vs. 2.8%). No clear relationship of UVI awareness, knowledge, and use to directors' age and gender was found. The UVI-related variables also showed no association with directors' knowledge of risk factors for skin cancer and their attitudes towards tanned skin. Overall, the results paint a sobering picture regarding the penetration of the UVI into sun protection policies of German kindergartens. Future public health campaigns should target increasing awareness and understanding of the UVI as well as its importance for sun protection of children.

The paper aims to clarify the implications of COVID-19 on corporate social responsibility (CSR). The research outlines an important role of CSR during the crisis and examines the pandemic impact on CSR practice of a company. The paper attempts to address the gap in the literature by considering CSR as a response strategy to uncertainties, pandemics, and crises. The study proposes how to adapt to the new normal applying CSR and examines the role of CSR in navigating through ambiguities. The paper analyzes the response to the pandemic crisis in terms of CSR and investigates the CSR approach of companies in Georgia. A semi-structured interview method was applied to collect primary data from companies implementing CSR activities. The novelty of the research results highlights the significance of strategic CSR practice during the pandemic to overcome challenges countries and societies are facing around the world. It contributes to the field of CSR management in times of pandemic and suggests future studies in this area.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the challenges of expanding into an emerging marketfor multinational enterprises (MNEs) and the strategies they adopted to overcome these adversities. Whileinterest in the expansion of MNEs into the Vietnamese market is increasing, there is a lack of research onthis process from the Polish businesses' perspectives, which may differ from existing literature. Theanalysis of information obtained by a semi-structured interview method shows that the psychic/culturaldistance is the most critical challenge the Polish enterprises must face when entering the Vietnamesemarket. The study also shows that the key success factor for the expansion of the Polish enterprises intothis market is a local partner, i.e., acquiring an appropriate Vietnamese partner, good cooperation withhim/her, and building mutual trust. As a result, among the available forms of internationalization, thePolish enterprises most often choose export and various forms of cooperation with local partners as themain ways to enter this market.
