This paper presents activities that can be used in order to enforce the use of rhetoric in teaching. The conversation is the method in which general, linguistic, and analytical culture comes to expression, but also the logic of students and teachers and their engagement. The conversation requires a subtle approach and impeccable knowledge of the language, didactic and various tactics, as well as mutual respect of interlocutors, where exceptional and successful answers are followed by the expressions of joy and satisfaction. The reward for successful conversation is the tact, acknowledgment, and acceptance of the answer with a positive facial expression; the atmosphere expressed in countless ways supporting or disputing the given answers. There are some crucial differences between conversation and oral presentation methods. The oral presentation method is followed by rules, where the speech is organized in a hierarchical way, and the roles of students and teachers are previously well-known and hierarchically assigned. The teacher is responsible for the idea, plan, dynamics, tempo and the rhythm of the oral presentation, while students act more as listeners, with a few possibilities to induce the oral presentation and have some effect on it. The level of material processing in the oral presentation method is the role of the teacher, and the student has more of a passive role as its role is reduced to listening and interpreting. This is why the oral presentation method is often criticized, named as verbalistic, and marked negatively with the demand to be less used in teaching, and when used, to be complemented by other teaching methods. The problem that follows conversation method activities in teaching presents the topic with crucial importance in didactics, as the conversation method is most frequently used by teachers. This problem has its own importance in both pedagogy and developmental psychology since it is very important to determine which teaching methods and forms of teaching are most suitable for transferring the knowledge from teacher to student. The aim of this paper is to tackle some of the problems that applying rhetoric in teaching, and its activities might carry. In my opinion, this paper presents systematization of knowledge in the field of introducing rhetoric in the teaching, which could benefit all parties interested in this way of teaching, as I, myself have learned a lot of new things while writing this paper and searching for new ways to introduce rhetoric in teaching.

The paper points to the position and role of block techniques in traditional and modern sport karate. The realization of blocks in traditional and modern sports karate is essentially different, and those differences represent the focus of this paper. An in-depth analysis underlines those differences not only in terms of execution, but also in terms of training methodology. Understanding the essential differences in the execution of blocks in traditional karate on one side and modern sport karate on the other side can be of crucial importance when it comes to achieving maximum sports results, especially among top athletes. Comprehending the technical differences between blocks, i.e. their implementation in traditional and modern sport karate holds essential importance for the preparation of competitors in modern sport karate, above all for fights. Rejecting the given fact would most certainly have a negative impact in shape of the absence of sports achievements in fights in modern sport karate.

Language and the speech society can not even be separated to each other, because when there is a language, there will be a speech community and vice-versa. Langauge has even become one of condition of society. The existence and use of the language in society is learned through sociolinguistics, which views language as a means of communication rather than a system alone, bearing varieties in line with the given social domains. On the other hand, the traditional language teaching has regarded language as a system, which entails structuralism models of teaching. In the development of the language teaching methods, language is not merely seen as a system, rather than a communication tool, just as sociolinguistics have suggested. This articles discusses the role of sociolingusitics in the development of teaching models, beginning from the nature of speech community, language function up to sociolinguistics-based language teaching models.

ABSTRACT Accounting educators strive to prepare graduates for work in their chosen field. Various teaching methods can be employed to best accomplish this goal. One valuable tool is the use of active learning tasks that simulate external work environments. This paper describes the collaboration between an AIS and an Auditing professor who used an integrative task that spanned their two classes over two semesters. The authors had their AIS students complete Arens and Ward's Systems Understanding Aid (SUA) project (Arens & Ward, 2008). The following semester, students in the auditing class audited the records and financials that had been generated by students the previous semester. The project was designed to facilitate course integration and teamwork by having groups of students play the role of corporate accountants, then act as independent auditors.

The article analyzes the issues of the status of educational colonies as guardians of minors serving a sentence of imprisonment. In fact, the problem raised by the author of this article is multifaceted, concerns various aspects of the serving of punishment by minors in educational colonies and requires a comprehensive study that can answer, it seems, a definitely significant question: whether the colony is the legal representative of the minors in it with all the consequences arising from the status of legal representatives in the form of duties and responsibilities. At the same time, it seems, it is necessary to pay attention to the specifics of the legal status of citizens serving sentences in educational colonies, who, firstly, are minors, i.e. do not have full legal capacity and need special care, protection and representation, and, secondly, are convicted of committing a serious or particularly serious crime, entailing isolation from society and certain restrictions and deprivation. Domestic legislation regulates in sufficient detail the peculiarities of the regime of serving sentences in the form of deprivation of liberty by minors, without determining the status of educational colonies. Who are they: educators, Trustees or only institutions of execution of punishments. Meanwhile, the correct understanding of the importance and role of the educational colony in the life of juvenile offenders in it, according to the author, will help to avoid a number of problems that objectively develop in institutions of this kind. From this point of view, the proposed topic is of interest not only for theoretical scientists, but for practitioners-employees of relevant institutions. It should be emphasized that there are no studies on this subject in the special literature. However, this circumstance can testify only about novelty of the given subject, but in any way about absence of the problem. It seems that the relevance and importance of a problem is not always measured by the number of studies devoted to it. Sometimes these its traits are manifest only under particularly careful consideration.

AbstractThe false attribution of autonomy and related concepts to artificial agents that lack the attributed levels of the respective characteristic is problematic in many ways. In this article, we contrast this view with a positive viewpoint that emphasizes the potential role of such false attributions in the context of robotic language acquisition. By adding emotional displays and congruent body behaviors to a child-like humanoid robot’s behavioral repertoire, we were able to bring naïve human tutors to engage in so called intent interpretations. In developmental psychology, intent interpretations can be hypothesized to play a central role in the acquisition of emotion, volition, and similar autonomy-related words. The aforementioned experiments originally targeted the acquisition of linguistic negation. However, participants produced other affect- and motivation-related words with high frequencies too and, as a consequence, these entered the robot’s active vocabulary. We will analyze participants’ non-negative emotional and volitional speech and contrast it with participants’ speech in a non-affective baseline scenario. Implications of these findings for robotic language acquisition in particular and artificial intelligence and robotics more generally will also be discussed.
