This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The location of the study was conducted in MTs Asy-syafi’iyah Pinggir, Bengkalis Regency, Riau. The subjects of this research are leadership directing and teacher performance. The objects of research are the teacher and the principal. In this case the researcher took a sample of 1 principal and 17 teachers. The researcher uses a total sampling technique or takes all subjects as a sample. To capture the data in this study, the researcher use several techniques, namely observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature review. The results showed that the implementation of leadership style influenced the quality of education in MTs Asy-Syafi'iyah Pinggir. The leadership style is often used by principals in MTs Asy-Syafi’iyah Pinggir is democratic leadership. Democratic leadership style is the style of leader who gives broad authority to subordinates. Whenever there is a problem always include subordinates as a whole team. In a democratic leadership style the leader provides a lot of information about the tasks and responsibilities of his subordinates. Teacher performance in MTs Asy-Syafi'iyah Pinggir that the performance of a teacher can be improved if there is a match between work and his expertise, as well as the placement of teachers in their assignments.

The management of educational institutions or organizations is a very important issue in the world of education. Because the success of an educational institution depends on the leadership of the head of the madrasah. This research aims to find out the implementation of democratic leadership style and transformational head of Madrasah in MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat Lampung province. The method used is a descriptive analysis using a qualitative approach. This study uses primary data sources obtained through interviews and secondary data sources obtained through online media. The results showed that the ability of the principal to implement the vision and mission in improving the quality of education in MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat can be seen from the behavior of the principal in carrying out the preparation of the school's vision and mission with a joint discussion, the creation of an education program guided by the quality standards of education, and promoting civility, as well as mobilizing school residents to participate in improving the quality of education. The ability of the principal to communicate effectively in improving the quality of education in MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat is reflected in the principal's behavior in cultivating a disciplined lifestyle and interacting directly with school residents and in problem-solving through a system of discussions, meetings, or deliberations. then, the ability of the principal in developing academic and non-academic programs that can produce good quality for the school.

Communication style and leadership of a leader is a key to improving the quality of the performance of its members to achieve success targets. Likewise with the Chief of the Indarto Resort Police, who managed to lead members of his police force until the Bekasi City Metro District Police succeeded in receiving various awards for his achievements. That's why the purpose of this research is to understand how Indarto's communication style and leadership style as the Police Chief in improving the performance of members of the Jakarta Bekasi City Police Precinct, and what things influence the implementation of Indarto's communication style as a leader. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and literature review. the informants in this study were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data collected is analyzed using data triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the leadership style used by the Indarto Police Chief is the Acocratic style and Democratic Style. Whereas the communication style for Indarto Police Chief is the Controlling style, Dynamic style, and Reliquishing style

The problem behind this research is the low quality of education and the low performance of teachers in the State Elementary School 003 Benai Kecil. The purpose of this study is to see whether there is an influence of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance. The data collection method used in this study was a questionnaire. The data used in this study are primary data taken from the questionnaire. The results of the study have proven that there is an influence between the principal's leadership style on teacher performance at the Benai Kecil 003 Neheri Elementary School. Through the results of the calculations that have been made obtained the value of t count of 3.628 with a significance level of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Based on the results of these studies researchers can conclude that there is an influence between the principal's leadership style on teacher performance at SD Neheri 003 Benai Kecil.

The aims of this research are to determine the effect of principls’ managerial skills on the quality of education, to know the effect of teacher performance on education quality, and to know the influence of principals’ managerial skills and teacher performance on the quality of education. This research is quantitative with ex-post facto by descriptive-quantitatif characteristic. The population are 67 people with saturated sampling technique. Data processing begins with a validity test and reliability test of the research instrument is obtained using SPSS. The analisys of prerequisite test included normality, homogeneity test and linierity test. The final analysis (hypothesis testing) using statistical multiple regression analysis Y=α + βX1 + βX2 as a predictor in determining the magnitude of fungsional relationship between variables X1 and X2 with variable Y. Hyphothesis test using SPSS program assistance. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the influence of principals’ managerial skills and teacher performance on education quality is 36.2%. It means that 36.2% of principals’ managerial skill (X1) and teacher’s performance (X2) influence the education quality variable (Y) through a linier relationship Y=29.480+0.058+0.475. therefore there is influence of principals’ managerial skills and teacher’s performance on the quality of education at MTs Negeri Palopo.

This study looks into the impact of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance in junior high schools in Palopo City's Bara District. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research is ex-post facto. The population is all junior high school teachers in the Bara sub-district of Palopo city, totaling 134 people. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique. The sample used was 39 teachers—data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed statistically using data processing, namely: Descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. This study found that the democratic leadership style displayed by the principal has a strong influence and significance on the performance of teachers in SMP/MTs in Bara District, Palopo City. This is because the leadership style displayed by the principal through several indicators can provide a significant enough stimulant to the teacher so that teachers' work motivation can increase adequately, which impacts the achievement of educational and learning goals in schools. This study implies the importance of the leadership style displayed by the principal in building teacher motivation and commitment in schools to generate optimal teacher performance in schools.

This study aims to examine, disclose and obtain empirical evidence about the implementation of the principal's leadership style on improving teacher performance to improve the quality and learning outcomes. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, field observations and documentation. The results of this study are the implementation of the principal's leadership style on teacher performance to improve the quality of learning with a democratic leadership style based on theological values. In improving teacher performance and the quality of learning, principals have program strategies including (a) teacher performance coaching strategies, (b) education staff discipline development, (c) teacher performance control and supervision, (d) motivation, (e) awarding and (f) Build teacher commitment.

The formulation of problem in this thesis research can writer describe as follows: first, how to apply principal leadership style in improving quality of education at SMK Al-Faqih Sumber Nyamplong Kowel Pamekasan? Second, How pattern of improvement of management of education quality strategy at SMK Al- Faqih Sumber Nyamplong Kowel Pamekasan? Third, how are the principal leadership style steps in improving the quality of education in SMK Al-Faqih Sumber Nyamplong Kowel Pamekasan?This research is a research that uses qualitative approach, that is research procedure that produce descriptive data in the form of written words or oral from people or behavior that can be observed. The type of this research is phenomenology, that is the researcher try to explain about the implementation field and systematic leadership style which done by the principal in improving the quality of education in SMK Al-Faqih Sumber Nyamplong Kowel Pamekasan.The research findings in this thesis can be summarized: First: The leadership style applied by the principal's leadership is a democratic leadership style, and in this case the principal applies his leadership style to the three basic patterns of duty, achieved. By using movement from button up and top down; Second: The headmaster of SMK Al-Faqih Sumber Nyamplong Kowel Pamekasan has the characteristics of spiritual leadership based on true ethics of honesty, fairness, the spirit of pious charity, the beloved leader, talk little and casual work and so on; Third: In improving the management of quality education strategy of SMK Al-Faqih Sumber Nyamplong Kowel Pamekasan principals cling to the 5 pillars of TQM, while the teachers develop management through the vision of institutional mission that is cooperation with the team, involvement stakeholders, student involvement and parental involvement.

ABSTRACTThis research aims to analyze and study the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance at SD Negeri Kintelan 2 Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection methods used are observation and interviews. The result of this research is that the principal at SD Negeri Kintelan 2 Yogyakarta has a very good and collective leadership style. The principal at SD Negeri Kintelan 2 has a democratic leadership style, can embrace educators and employees in improving teacher performance, learning quality, and good learning quality quickly, and understands constantly evaluating and correcting deficiencies at SD Negeri Kintelan 2 Yogyakarta with appropriate strategies and methods. fit. To be a good leader, there must be factors that influence the attitude of a leader, including; factors of knowledge or leadership skills, environment, behavior or personality, and social. This qualitative descriptive research has two types of data resources, namely primary data and secondary data. The primary data were the result of the interview from the data resources which determined through the purposive sampling technique.  The primary data were obtained from the headmaster, teachers, administrative staff, school committees, and students. While the secondary data includes textbooks,   school documents, journals, theses, dissertations, internet sites, which related to the implementation of the principal's management functions in improving the quality of education. Data were collected through in-depth interview techniques with informants, observation, and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher applied the qualitative descriptive techniques based on Miles and Huberman theory namely data reduction, data exposure, and data verification. There are two objectives of the research, they are 1) to describe the implementation of planning function and 2) to describe the implementation of the actuating function of the principal in improving the quality of education at Hedam Inpres State Elementary School in Abepura, Jayapura. The study revealed that 1) the principal of Hedam Inpres State Elementary School in Abepura, Jayapura has implemented the planning function properly and 2) The actuating function of the school principal had not been implemented yet. Keywords: Principal Management Functions, Planning, Actuating, Quality of Education

The paper gives an account of undergraduate level library and information science education in Pakistan including independent certificate courses, an optional subject at intermediate and bachelor level, and bachelor program of Allama Iqbal Open University. The paper is based on the literature review and personal communications with selected professionals. There appeared gap in local literature regarding contemporary state of undergrad level education. The review of literature and senior professionals suggested that radical changes are necessary in policies, programs and curricula of different programs at undergraduate level to raise the quality of education.
