In a telecommunications system, a radio propagation model is needed to do a design, construction, and development of mobile communication systems. Propagation models commonly used are the Okumura-Hatta model and the COST model 231. These models are used to determine an accurate propagation model in a particular area. This study aims to obtain a propagation model on the environmental conditions of dry-land such as the University of Nusa Cendana areas by using Okumura-Hata path loss modeling and COST-231. In this study, the acceptance test drive was carried out at frequencies of 900 Mhz, 1800 Mhz and 1900 MHz using the G-NetTrack application on Telkomsel BTS in the University of Nusa Cendana area with Latitude coordinates -10.156738 and Longitude 123.668422 as well as observing frequencies using Spectrum Analyzer to be used as primary data. The next step is to calculate the received power data as secondary data using the Okumura-Hata path loss calculation and COST-231. Based on primary and secondary data an analysis of which propagation model matches the measurements in the field is carried out. From the propagation analysis, it can be concluded that the propagation model that suits the conditions on the campus area is the Okumura-Hatta model.

An exploration and analysis of the processes involved in crafting the institution’s strategic plan, identifying its quality assurance policies, documenting its graduates’ performance in government licensure examinations, description of the processes to ensure sustainability of educational programs, and portray the administration’s fund generation and management mechanisms was made in an effort to create a model for quality education in the University of Eastern Philippines, University Town, Northern Samar. It utilized the descriptive-evaluative method of research with a total of 400 respondents composed of students, faculty members, alumni, community residents, and University officials. Qualitative data were taken from respondents’ answers to open-ended questions, which were then validated through interviews.  Quantitative data on the other hand, were taken from both primary data derived from responses to items in the questionnaire, and secondary data on graduates’ performance in professional examinations. It was revealed that most stakeholders were aware of the institution’s strategic plan, although some were not consulted in the crafting of such an important document.  They aver that policies and guidelines are established, implemented, and strictly adhered to by the administration in its daily operations involving faculty, students, staff, fund generation and management, instruction, research, extension, production, faculty development, and student support services. Although graduates performed consistently well in some government examinations, in the years 2009 – 2014 they performed generally below the national average.  Respondents agree that curricular programs must regularly be updated to conform to minimum standards set by the Commission on Higher Education to ensure sustainability of programs.  For students to be globally relevant and competent, respondents agree to the provision of educationally qualified and competent teaching force, state-of-the-art facilities, modern instructional materials and methods, coupled with good governance and cooperation among stakeholders, are the key ingredients of an ideal quality of education in the University of Eastern Philippines.

The added value in education refers to the contribution that the educational institution effectively makes to student learning, expressed as the growth in knowledge, skills and abilities, in a period of time, as a result of their educational experience. The objective of the research is to determine the added value of the academic work of the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander in the development of physical- mathematical thinking in engineering students and the estimation of a mathematical model that allows its valuation. In model allows analyzing the trajectory of the group of engineering students who entered in the first semester of 2018 and involves endogenous and exogenous variables associated with the process. The research is framed in the quantitative paradigm, descriptive, multivariate and correlational. We work with two types of data, the secondary data are constituted by the students’ grades in 2018 and 2019, this information may present biases because they are different courses with different teachers, however, it allows to see the evolution of students in calculus, statistics and physics courses. Primary data were obtained from a test applied in 2018 and a similar test applied in 2019, graded using item response theory. Results were compared and differences were evaluated to estimate the contribution effectively made by the university.

This paper primarily seeks to assess students’ enrolment growth and the implications for educational planning at the Takoradi Technical University. Specifically, the paper seeks to determine the rate of growth in first year enrolment and to predict first year enrolment for Management decision making. Methodologically, secondary data served as the basic source of information comprising of data from the annual report of the planning office of the University, and the Strategic Plan Implementation and Oversight Committee Report (2016 -2020). Primary data was collected from the various faculties in the University. It was therefore revealed that the year under review witnessed marginal improvements over the previous year’s ratios and rates of the key indicators. It is worth mentioning, however that, despite the improvements in the key indicators, the institution still fall short to the norm. It is therefore recommended that considering the percentage increase in enrolment from the 2019/2020 to 2020/2021 academic year and the total number of classrooms and facilities with their respective capacities, Management should ensure the optimal usage of the classrooms and other facilities by the students.

Today we have entered the 21st century, in which science and technology are playing an important role. This progress has solved many mysteries of another universe. The same has provided many other pleasures of human beings. The environment has always been helpful in these human progress and development, but in the race for this development, we have neglected the environment and exploited it uncontrollably. In the greed for immediate benefits, man himself has put his future in a long-term crisis. As a result, the source of life, the environment is becoming increasingly degraded. This project work is presented in this context. The Supreme Court of India feels that every citizen of India should understand environmental information and accountability and give suggestions for environmental improvement. In the research work, the primary data was compiled by filling the questionnaire using the deviation system (च स ड ड ड जीव जीव जीव जीव जीव तथा तथा तथा सर्वेक्षण) and information was obtained by surveying the university. The persistent deterioration of trust among managers of the economy in one hand and the declining confidence level of the public on economic and financial institutions in the country calls for the need to assess the type of economic graduates Universities in Nigeria produce. In other words, does our Universities produce economists that are skillful in the industry but lacks ethical as well as moral values? To answer these questions there is need to examine the University curriculum so as to know the existence or otherwise of courses that enhance skills and those that enhance values. The objective of this study therefore is to assess the need for Islamic economics curriculum that contains sufficient courses for not only building graduate economic and analytical skills but also the courses that are relevant for ethical development of a graduate. Bayero University Kano, though not an Islamic University per se but is well rooted in the values of Islam historically and in the programmes the University offers to students from various field of Islamic revealed knowledge. Food availability of one area affects its community food consumption patterns. The area will use its natural resources to satisfy all needs of its society. This study aimed to explain the patterns of consumption and production of food in a mountainous area. This research is a descriptive study using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. In qualitative approach, the data obtained by indepth-interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), whereas quantitative data obtained through household surveys of 40 households as samples. Field data collection is done systematically through questionnaires and interviews. There are two data sources namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from people in the local area either as informants selected using snowball techniqueor respondents selected purposively. Furthermore, the secondary data were obtained from the literature that correlates with research areas. The result shows that the pattern of food production in the mountainous region is divided into two types based on the land used that is wetland and dry land. The wetland is used by mountainous community to produce food such as rice and corn with a frequency of twice a year. As for the dry land, it is cultivated to produce vegetables that are produced throughout the year as daily necessities. The pattern of consumption in the community correlates with the amount, type and consumptive frequency of the food. In general, people in mountainous areas still consume rice as a staple food by eating vegetables and fish as complementary with a frequency of 2-3 times a day. This is because the access is still relatively easy to obtain these foods.

This research conducted in August-September 2005 under supervision by Lembaga Penelitian UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The main objective was to accelerate the transformation of IAIN to UIN Sunan Kalijaga in the management area. Why management? Because although successful universities are successful primarily because of their teaching and research not because of their management, good management can over time provide the conditions in which teaching and research can flourish, just as, more usually, poor management can undermine teaching and research and precipitate institutional decline. Lecturer as the main actor of teaching and research in universities has a unique characteristic compared to any kind of human resources. Its job descriptions range from serve college student by teaching, serve the scientific world by writing and research, serve institutions by administrative work, to another kind of job descriptions as a social worker who has to serve and develop the community. With those kinds of characteristics, the university has to design special human resource management, we called it Talent Management. A combination of the direct and indirect interview was used to collect primary data. Populations for this research were university and faculty leader or manager who have the authority to design policy about the lecturer. Samples were taken by using proportional consideration: university management consists of the rector and deputy rector II and faculty management consist of the dean of Dakwah, Syari'ah, and Adab and four chiefs of the study program. This research also conducted observations in daily lecturer management practices. Secondary data were compiled from the university’s document, homepages, and faculty’s document.
