The Malay language has been the main identification of Malaysia today. Such an identity has been the vehicle for national unity. Realistically, it is not only a means of communication, but more importantly, it mirroring the nation itself. Language also plays a significant role in shaping the identity, fostering a sense of belonging (esprit de corps), integration, and dignity in building a sovereign and independent nation. However, before becoming the national language, the Malay language encounters a number of issues and challenges in lead up of Malayan independence. By using a historical perspective, this paper dismantles both issues and challenges associated with a compromise that has taken place within the Alliance Party comprised of UMNO, MCA, and MIC. Accordingly, through this qualitative approach, an approach that focuses on historical information from secondary sources this paper narratively analyse the chronologic of the process to make the Malay language the national language. The results show that it is not easy to realize such an aspiration.

The purpose of this study is to describe the inability of Catholic education institutions on funding school operations especially regarding teacher salaries in Medan. The main task of the teacher is to do educational assignments. Even though it is not optimal, the cooperation and commitment of all parties involved, especially the institution and the school parties are needed in terms of designing and realizing various collaborative efforts with the church and parents, so that new students will grow in Catholic schools. This study is conducted by using descriptive qualitative approach. The result shows that there is no good achievement without hard work and sacrifice and also a good work approach strategy. Therefore there must be good meetings that create a positive attitude and a sense of belonging to the school, where if the school is successfully developed, all parties will feel the benefits.

This article departs from the reality that identity played a significant role in Indonesia-Malaysia brotherhood relations. In addition, Malaysia is home to many Indonesian diasporas, either to work or study. In fact, the Indonesian diaspora still maintains a connection with the motherland through communities amid of identity issues with the Malaysian local. For instance, the emergence of anti-Malaysian versus anti-migrant sentiments, the use of a controversial term called ‘Indon’ and ‘Malingsia’ in the middle of Muslim brotherhood identity. Therefore, using a qualitative approach supplemented with unstructured interviews, this study found that Islamic identity obviously contributed to the harmony of people to people relations between the two nations. Indeed, Islamic identity became a catalyst especially for many Indonesian workers to build close contact with the Muslim local community. These findings are important for sociology and international relations students and researchers.

Testimony is a statement made by a witness who saw the incident by himself and was at the scene at that time. Nothing can escape this evidence in the afterlife, nor can it be manipulated in the slightest. So the source of the problem that will be discussed is how to witness the body and the interpretation of the rationality of the testimony of the limbs in QS. Yasin: 65. The research approach used by the author is a qualitative approach and is more inclined to follow library research and uses thematic analysis methods, this research will rely on the interpretation of Al-Jawahir Fi Tafsiril Qur'an by Tantawi Jauhari and books. as primary sources, research journals, and research theses as secondary sources. This article considers the YouMeUnity Report proposal for the inclusion of new language provisions in the Australian Constitution as part of a package of reforms for the constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The article outlines the important symbolic and substantive effects of recognising language rights in the Constitution. The article explains how the recognition of a national language and the recognition of minority languages are conceptually distinct — promoting a national language is aimed at promoting national unity and enhancing the political and economic participation of individuals in the state, whereas protecting minority languages is aimed at recognising linguistic diversity, enriching the cultural life of the State, maintaining connections with other nations, and recognising language choice as a basic human right. The article argues that there is a strong case for minority language recognition, and in particular, the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, in the Australian Constitution, but warns against the recognition of English as the national language.

The popular view among many contemporary economists is that our predecessors were literate but not numerate. Their myopia is curious to those who have the benefit of greater historical perspective. Many early practitioners of political economy can be credited with recognizing that, by their very nature, the problems in which they were interested required them to measure, quantify and enumerate. From the seventeenth century onwards, inquiring minds had already learned to distrust information and ideas that derived from the then traditional qualitative approach to science, which described the sensations associated with objects and events. William Petty's Political Arithmetic is a case in point; it aimed not simply to record and describe reality in terms of

ABSTRACT Purpose: to check the understanding of elderly participants of a singing group on the promotion of voice health. Methods: a qualitative approach linked to Paulo Freire's research itinerary consisting of three dialectic moments: thematic investigation; encoding and decoding; critical revelation. Results: these stages were developed in four culture circles with the participation of six elderly people. The study showed three themes: (1) Expression and feelings, (2) Potentiality and difficulty, (3) Voice care. The circles brought expression of ideas and practices to voice care. The sense of belonging that the group provides could be observed, especially on emotional issues. The elderly empowered themselves to discuss their beliefs regarding voice care, clarified during culture circles, providing subsidies for a greater autonomy in their personal life. Conclusion: the dialog between the participants made the understanding possible on the role of voice, permeating aspects related to the physiology, functionality and emotion in the participants' perception.
