Introduction. This article makes a null hypothesis about the impossibility of the existence of material and technical resources as an independent object of study, because these resources cann’t be profitable or social effective without other resources. It is clear that material and technical resources become productive when interacting with financial, informational, innovative, time and other types of resources. The emergence of alternative energy sources, constant change of laws, improvement of construction technology, constant struggle for resources, changing financial vectors place new demands on the material and technical resources of construction and require new approaches to accounting and control. The purpose of the study is to formulate a definition of «material and technical resources» and identify their relationship with other resources in construction. Research methods. In the article has been used general scientific and specific research methods, in particular: comparison – to study of theoretical research of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of material and technical resources, and also assets and resources; graphic - to study the amount of capital investment in housing; analysis and synthesis - to identify ways of interaction of material and technical and other types of resources. Results of the research. In the study detected differences in the definition of «resources» and «assets». It is recognized that the concept of «resources» is broader than – «assets», which allows to distinguish these two definitions for future analysis of their components. Based on the analysis of the concepts of «material» and «technical» resources, the author’s definition of «material and technical resources» is formulated. To existing definitions is added that material and technical resources are one of the main elements of entrepreneurial potential, and also that their use brings not only profit, but also social effect, especially in construction. In addition, the relationship between logistics and other resources has been disclosed. The null hypothesis has been proved, it’s about material and technical resources which are not effective without connections with other resources, and their potential is assessed under the condition of interaction with financial, informational, organizational and time resources. Perspectives. In future studies, it’s advisable to disclose the genesis of material and technical resources; identify the main problems of their formation and efficiency of use; to assess the dynamics and trends of the behavior of analytical indicators and make appropriate proposals; develop a model of the relationship of material, technical and financial resources in accounting and control etc.

The concept of Europeanization has become quite fashionable in EU studies in recent years. It is often used for the analysis of the relations between the EU and non-member states. The aim of the article is to examine the possibilities of its application in explaining the relationship between the EU and Ukraine. The structure of the article is as follows: firstly, the concept of Europeanization is defined considering such two disputable issues as distinguishing among concepts of Europeanization and European integration as well as Europeanization and EU-ization. Next, the evolution of the theoretical research of Europeanization and definition of this concept are analyzed. Two main mechanisms of Europeanization (conditionality and socialization) are examined. The author considers main approaches to the analysis of the "external" Europeanization emphasizing the concept of "external governance". Three groups of factors which influence the effectiveness of Europeanization are briefly analyzed. And finally, the peculiarities of application of the Europeanization concept to the Ukraine-EU relations are outlined. Keywords: EU, Ukraine, Europeanization, EU-ization, ‘external’ Europeanization, conditionality, socialization, concept of ‘external governance’

The timing definition of valve plates is one of the most complex topics in the piston pump designs because it affects many pump characteristics (such as efficiency, swashplate stroking, stabilities, noise, etc.). In the study, the pressure carryover is introduced and defined as the average angular positions to locate piston pressure transitions from the top dead center (TDC) or bottom dead center (BDC) in the piston pump. Pressure carryover presents the overall outcome of the pressure transitions within piston bores. The new pressure carryover definition is derived by the timing angles and other geometrics of valve plates that is an approximation of the practical pressure transitions. The pressure carryover also determines the containment forces and moments on the swashplate produced by the pumping pistons. The relationship between the pressure carryover angle and the containment moment has been developed and analyzed in the study. The amplitudes and frequencies of the forces and moments can be changed by varying the pressure carryover angle that produce different tonalities and control efforts for the swashplate type axial-piston pumps. Therefore, the pressure carryover is the most important and straightforward connection between pump dynamics and valve plate designs. In order to optimize the pump performance, the piston pressure carryover might be investigated thoroughly for the pump and its controller designs.

Definitions of domestic violence vary according to the frequency, severity and nature of the violence as well as the context in which it occurred and the relationship between the victim and the perpetrator. Though there is a lack of uniformity, a generally accepted definition of domestic violence is the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of an adult woman by a man with whom she has or has had an intimate relationship, regardless of whether the couple are living together. Although violence can be carried out by other family members or occur in same-sex relationships, it is argued that men use violence in order to maintain dominance and control over their female partners. Physical violence is just one of the many tactics that an abuser may use to exert control over his partner. Other behaviours include isolation, intimidation, threats of violence, threats to take the children away or hurt them and emotional or economic abuse. Whilst some studies have identified demographic patterns associated with domestic violence, it can affect any woman regardless of age, race, ethnicity, social class, employment status, religion, marital status or disability.

At present, issues related to investment activities in Ukraine are very important. Of particular importance is the investment activity related to capital investment, creating a solid foundation for stable, efficient operation and rapid development of each enterprise. Insufficient capital investment can lead to limited opportunities, loss of income, increased production costs, increased production shortages, loss of competitiveness and decline of the enterprise. For effective management of capital investments of the enterprise the system of accounting and analytical support based on reliable definition of their cost, the mechanism of their reflection in the account and the reporting, effective system of the analysis and internal control is important. This study is devoted to the consideration of theoretical and methodological issues and problems of organization of accounting of capital investment accounting, identification of areas for improvement. This article analyzes domestic and international regulations on accounting to determine the nature and composition of capital investments. The issue of formation and differentiation of capital investment costs is considered. The classification of capital investments on various grounds is reflected, which is important for the formation of a proper organization of accounting and control in the enterprise. Sources of capital investment are the company's own funds, the use of budget funds or extrabudgetary funds, other sources of funding. The main sources of financing capital investments today are the own funds of enterprises. Generalized approaches to reflect capital expenditures that are associated with the creation or acquisition of non-current assets, as well as those that are included in the initial cost of such objects, in the accounts. It is proposed to streamline accounting through the introduction of additional sub-accounts that will meet the various information needs for analysis and control of capital investments in the enterprise. To separate the components of capital investments, the characteristics of the new sub-accounts to account 15 "Capital investments" are given. The main elements that need to be disclosed in the order on the company's accounting policy for capital investment are presented.

This article deals with the definition of the subject and objects of modern Russian criminalistics. It is aimed at sensitizing world public opinion to the necessity of inquiry into the criminalistic essence of crime and encouraging criminalists to study new techniques of crime investigation in order to mitigate risks and reduce errors arising in the criminal investigation process. One of the main objects that is constantly undergoing research in Russian criminalistics is criminal activity. The subject of Russian criminalistics is the regularities of criminal activity. When investigating crimes scientists are interested in the information that allows the successful investigation of the crimes and determination of the offender. The information about different types of crimes, which is necessary for crime investigation, is accumulated in the criminalistic characteristic of crimes. The Criminalistic Characteristic of Crimes is a scientific theory of modern Russian criminalistics that makes it possible to fully examine the specific features of crimes of all kinds, i.e. the forensic nature (essence) of crime, the system of crime elements with their characteristics, and the relationship between those elements. In U.S. and European criminalistics, the regularities of criminal activity are not defined as an object of study of this science. Yet, in the U.S. and European countries criminal profilers investigating criminal cases study the criminal links between crimes to identify crime series and crimes committed by similar offenders (or to determine co-offenders).

The purpose of the article is to identify the essence of the concepts «bibliographical heuristics» and «bibliographical search», to discover the relationship between them. The methodology is based on the use of scientific analysis, synthesis, comparison methods, that allowed us to identify, investigate and compare the essence of the proposed concepts. The use of a structural approach made it possible to build a communication environment of bibliographical heuristics. The scientific novelty of the work consists of the correlation of the concepts’ essence «bibliographical heuristics» and «bibliographical search»; the definition of the communication environment of bibliographical heuristics. Conclusions. The concepts of bibliographical heuristics and bibliographical search are correlated as a science and an object of study of the science. Bibliographical heuristics is the science of theory and practice of bibliographical search. Bibliographical heuristics develop rules, determines the search strategy depending on the type of search query, the criteria for issuing search results, and the nature of the dialogue between the user and the information search engine. It is the theoretical basis of bibliographical search. The object of bibliographical heuristics is bibliographical search as the process of bibliographical activity associated with the search for bibliographical information, enhanced by intuition, logic, experience, which depends on the specific situation and tasks of the search. The main components of bibliographical search are bibliographical finding and identifying. Bibliographical search is a clarification of bibliographical records, an identification of missing elements in them, a correction of errors distorted in the query. Bibliographical identifying is an exhaustive selection of bibliographical records on a particular topic. Bibliographical heuristics and bibliographical search exist in a certain communication environment that accumulates and disseminates bibliographical knowledge. Key words: bibliographical heuristics; bibliographical search; correlation.

Abstract If a discipline is defined by the object of its study, then the definition of the object of study has a priori paramount importance. Studies of the evolution of the study of religion show that researchers have been unable to escape their own socio-political contexts. I begin with a brief consideration of the evolution of superstition as a means to gain perspective on the evolution of the study of religion and definitions of religion and as a cautionary note to both the contextual study of religion and the cognitive-evolutionary (ce) study of religion. I then continue with an overview of our conference, “Researching Religion: Methodological Debates in Anthropology and the Study of Religion,” at Aarhus University, and the seven articles published in this special double issue of Numen. Taken together, they reflect and address an international rupture between the contextual and the ce study of religion, and point towards productive avenues for future research.

The article deals with issues related to research methodology in the financial field. An important aspect of the author's approach is a new look at the research, which is proposed to be considered as prospective and current. The argument for this approach is the need to combine traditional basic and applied research into a group of prospective, ie those that result in some long-term goals and can usually result in scientific novelty. Instead, current research is no less practical. It is through current research that the necessary measures are being implemented. This applies to technical, technological, organisational, economic and financial measures, which ultimately provide some improvement in the activities of any entity. The characteristics of prospective and current research are given, which determine the differences between them. In particular, such characteristics are: the expected result, the tools for the study and the composition of researchers - performers of prospective or current research. Based on the division of research into prospective and current, the different directions of these types of scientific and practical research are determined. It is noted that the formulation of tasks of different purpose and nature requires the definition of certain pre-defined sets of research methods. Narrowing of methodical tools can lead to erroneous results. Instead, an integrated approach, formulated not only for a hypothetical goal and potential outcome, but also for the choice of research methods, is an important safeguard against erroneous conclusions. To do this, a matrix has been developed, in which complexes of research methods (for several examples) have been formed, which will allow to obtain the most substantiated result of the research, both prospective and current. Such examples are: economic and social efficiency of financial research, public policy in the field of finance, funding schemes for research. A study of well-known empirical and theoretical research methods has been carried out, from the standpoint of the peculiarities of financial research in scientific and practical activities. In particular, examples from the financial sphere of possible searches, with the help of general methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction and analogy, are investigated and given. From empirical methods examples of directions of possible researches, with use of comparison, experiment, modeling, are considered and resulted. The generally accepted and special characteristics of research in the field of finance are considered. Among them are important for financiers the concept of science and the need to master the scientific approach to financial research; the nature and characteristics of the research process; scientific (theoretical) base and financial aspects of research; research priorities; directions of research of natural and social sciences; stages of scientific research; methodological approach to the study of efficiency in finance. These issues are important for researchers, as well as for students and graduate students studying in financial educational-professional and educational-scientific programs.
