Various supporting features of interpersonal communication and interaction such as chatrooms, walls, messanger, etc. make Facebook as one of the models of interpersonal mediated communication (interpersonal mediated communication). The purpose of this study is to describe the use of Facebook as a facility that facilitates friendship and personal relationships. The subject of this research is Facebook active users who utilize various Facebook features to meet new people. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results showed that various Facebook features were able to facilitate its users in communicating both socially just friends to personal communication that led to institutional (marriage).  Keywords: Facebook; Global Friendship; Personal Bond

This article discusses religious tolerance from the perspective of interpersonal communication. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods through a phenomenological approach. The results showed that inter-personal communication patterns that occurred between members of the Pelita community in building religious tolerance based on interpersonal competence, friendship associations, professional relationships, and websites for inter-personal relationships. While romantic communication pat-terns and family relationships did not appear. This is because Pelita was medium for people meeting from various religious backgrounds who were not tied based on genetic, but communication amongst members relying on the social and national based relationship.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengalaman berliterasi penulis di Kota Bandung dalam menjalani perannya sebagai penulis Sunda.Pokok bahasan yang digali meliputi aspek pendorong menjadi penulis Sunda, pilihan jenis dan tema tulisan untuk menyampaikan perasaan dan pikiran penulis, serta aspek harapan dalam menjalani peran sebagai penulis Sunda.Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi digunakan untuk menguraikan pengalaman pada penulis Sunda dalam berliterasi. Wawancara mendalam dan penelusuran literatur digunakan untuk memperoleh data dari 8 penulis yang menjadi informan penelitian ini. Hasil studi menunjukkan, lingkungan dan kebiasaan membaca menjadi faktor utama yang mendorong penulis untuk menulis dalam bahasa Sunda. Tulisan fiksi dan nonfiksi menjadi pilihan penulis untuk menyampaikan pikiran dan perasannya melalui tulisan. Masalah sosial, sejarah klasik Sunda, kearifan lokal, humor, dan peristiwa aktual menjadi pilihan tema dalam tulisan para informan. Adapun yang menjadi aspek harapan sebagai penulis Sunda adalah memelihara keberlangsungan bahasa Sunda, serta berharap dapat membawa budaya Sunda ke peradaban global. Kata kunci: Literasi, Budaya Sunda, Penulis Sunda, Pelestarian Budaya ABSTRACTThis research aims to describe the author's experience in doing literacy as a Sundanese writer in Bandung City. The subject explored includes the driving aspects of being a Sundanese writer, choice of types and themes of writing, as well as aspects of hope in carrying out the role as a Sundanese writer. The qualitative method with a phenomenological approach is used to describe the experience of Sundanese writers in literacy. In-depth interviews and literature were used to obtain data from 8 writers who became informants of this study. The result shows that environment and reading habits are the main factors that encourage writers to write in the Sundanese language. Fiction and nonfiction literature contents are used to convey a writer’s thoughts and feelings through writing. Social problems, Sundanese classical history, local wisdom, humor, and actual events are the themes in the informants' writings. The aspect of hope as a Sundanese writer is to maintain the continuity of Sundanese language, and hope to bring Sundanese culture to global civilization.Keywords: Literacy, Sundanese Culture, Sundanese Writers, Cultural Preservation

Couples who experience infertility get stigma from their environment which can effect various aspects of their life: psychological, physical and social performance. Most couples only get treatments that focuses only on medical efforts and ignores the psychological aspects. The purpose of this research is to obtain in-depth information about how subjects give the meaning of his/her infertility experiences. This study used qualitative method with phenomenological approach. There are four subjects (two husbands and two wives). Data retrieval is done by semi-structured interviews, then thematically analyzed. The results revealed several themes about how the subject view his experience. These themes are emotions, coping strategies, the main sources of strength, and lessons that can be learned. The results of this study can be considered by medical personnel or researchers who want to design psychological treatment in married couples who have infertility

The use of WhatsApp as media of communication is expected to facilitate people in doing remote interaction between person and community. Every people can set a privacy of chat on WhatsApp. However, people have several perceptions on it because it can be a symbol which has certain meaning. There are some people who are intentionally activate the privacy settings and some do not. Communication is established whether it remains effective or is hampered by chat privacy settings because someone cannot find out their online status, read messages or not. The purpose of this study is to determine the motives of privacy settings for whatsapp user chat in interpersonal communication. The study uses qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection is conducted through interviews with 13 whatsapp users who activated the chat privacy feature. It is taken from whatsapp researchers' friend contact. The results of the study on the motives of whatsapp chat privacy settings produce 2 main concepts, first is privacy (personal) which has 4 sub concepts (free, does not want others to be disappointed, so that others do not wait for an immediate answer, and important matters), and those second is work that has 2 sub concepts (business activities and office affairs).

This study dercribes to determine the depth of the juvenile delinquency punk. To achieve these objectives the researchers used a qualitative method with phenomenological approach and a case study approach. Subjects examined in this study was a 19 years old young men and one young woman was 19 years old. Based on the research results, forms of juvenile delinquency conducted first subject leads to criminal acts such as extortion, theft, becoming the sedative dealers and drug couriers, out of prison-related cases of aggravated assault and possession of sedatives illegally, sexual violence, and even perform murder. While the second subject just plain mischief that have not led to a criminal act. Factors causing juvenile delinquency punk conducted two subjects because of the influence of social environment, family environment that is not harmonious, music punk they hear, and there is a push from the inside of the subject to perform naughtiness which has been a problem for both subjects

Many people think that Punk is a deviant behavior, synonymous with violence, a lifestyle that is free, chaotic and unsettling for society. But, Punk followers have sides of religiosity. This study aims to determine the religiosity of the Punk followers, in order to change the negative stigma of the surrounding community. This study used a qualitative method using a phenomenological approach. This study used five subjects with a purposive sampling technique with the following criteria: Punk followers aged 10-24 years of age, have never been the subject of previous research, and are still active in Punk activities. The results show that Punk child also have a side of religiosity even with their respective portions. From them, they have the hope of trying to fulfill their obligation to live spiritually to become a Punk followers and want to live a normal life again without any negative stigma. Thus, this study is expected to change the negative stigma of society about Punk.

In this study, the researcher aims to find out how interpersonal communication in the family can support a person's mental health, especially overseas students. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, which focuses on telling the phenomenon of the role of family communication on student mentality, which is experienced directly by overseas students from Papua-West Papua. The results of this study show that communication plays a very important role in supporting one's mental health, especially overseas students who now have to study in a pandemic situation. Communication that supports this in the form of open communication and willing to listen. During this pandemic, some students chose to return to their hometowns, but some had to stay overseas due to certain conditions. Each student told a different experience, but more or less had something in common, namely feeling pressured or stressed with lectures. Through communication, students tend to feel their burden is reduced. Parental responses also build enthusiasm in students and provide strength, which reduces stress and helps students' mental health. The willingness of parents to hear stories and give positive words turned out to give students a feeling of comfort and relief.

This research aims to determine the phenomenon of narcissistic behavior among adolescent social media users. Respondents who are the subjects in this study are adolescents aged 16 to 20 years who live in the Mranggen sub-district, Demak district who have more than three social media accounts that have been used for more than 1 year, and carry out activities on their social media every day. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Methods of data collection using interviews and documentation which are arranged based on the characteristics of narcissism. As for the data analysis technique that will be used is descriptive coding method. The results of the study show that the subject often shows a thing or situation that encourages other people to have a good impression by minimizing things that are negative or not good for themselves

In recent years, cases about juvenile deliquency in Indonesia has increased with the most cases are sexual harassment, drugs, murdering, and stealing (Hasinta, 2010). According to Indonesian regulation nomor 12 tahun 1995, if a juvenile deliquency case has been done by an 18 year old adolescent or less and it has been proved by the court, the adolescent will be called anak pidana and they will be educated in a prison for adolescent but more like education centre, such as in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Kelas II B Karangasem, Bali. Living in a lembaga pemasyarakatan will be much different from common life outside, such as experiencing the loss of freedom (Dewi, 2012). In surviving to this situation, adolescent needs to know the meaning of their life and this issue attracts the researcher to find out what is the meaning of life of anak pidana who lives in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Kelas II B Karangasem.   This study use qualitative method with phenomenological approach, with 6 anak pidana as the subject. The result shows that there are 6 aspect of the meaning of life of anak pidana who lives in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Kelas II B Karangasem, which are the most valuable thing in life, satisfaction in life, freedom, right to live, personal change, and life-acceptance in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak Kelas II B Karangasem. Detailed result will be discussed in the context of intergroup process.   Keywords: meaning of life, adolescent, prison, Bali
