Many people think that Punk is a deviant behavior, synonymous with violence, a lifestyle that is free, chaotic and unsettling for society. But, Punk followers have sides of religiosity. This study aims to determine the religiosity of the Punk followers, in order to change the negative stigma of the surrounding community. This study used a qualitative method using a phenomenological approach. This study used five subjects with a purposive sampling technique with the following criteria: Punk followers aged 10-24 years of age, have never been the subject of previous research, and are still active in Punk activities. The results show that Punk child also have a side of religiosity even with their respective portions. From them, they have the hope of trying to fulfill their obligation to live spiritually to become a Punk followers and want to live a normal life again without any negative stigma. Thus, this study is expected to change the negative stigma of society about Punk.

It is undeniable that the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic has a major impact on public health. Not only from a physical point of view, but also psychological health because of the various problems and anxiety that occurs as a result. This study aims to see and find out how COVID-19 affects the mental health of the community, especially in Malang City, East Java. In the research, the writer used descriptive qualitative method assisted by purposive sampling technique. Of course, it is complemented by a simple literature study on various data and documents that already exist and are related to the subject under study. The results of this study show that the COVID-19 pandemic does have an impact on people's mental health, mainly due to high levels of stress due to illness caused by viruses, excessive anxiety, and various other influences.

This study aims to determine how the description of acceptance of dating violence in victims ofdating violence. The description described concerns how the attitude and behavior of the victimin acceptance of dating violence and the factors that influence it. The method used in thisresearch is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The technique of selectingparticipants using purposive sampling technique. Participants in this study were 4 people, aged20-25 years and currently experiencing dating violence. The data collection technique usedwas the interview technique, while the analysis technique used to process the data was theMiles and Huberman analysis technique. The results of the study reveal that Acceptance ofdating violence occurs through 2 different processes. The first process involves putting up afight before giving rise to acceptance of dating violence. The second process is to do nothingor surrender and immediately generate acceptance of dating violence. This process is basedon factors, namely shackling affections, feelings of helplessness, limitations in understandingproblems, expectations of protective figures, pre-married sex, views of family and other people,and views of relationships (commitment, duration of relationship, and sense of responsibility)

This article is based on annotated translation. Annotated translation is a translation with commentary. The objective of this article is to find out strategies that was employed in translating in Personal Pronoun I and You in the novel The Sins of Father by Jeffry Archer. The research used qualitative method with retrospective and introspective as research approached. The syntactic strategies by Chesterman is employ as tools of analysis. The result shows that from 25 data, there are 5 primary data which are taken using purposive sampling technique. There are 3 word ‘I’ and 2 word ‘You’, which all the data has the same translation principle and strategies.

This research was conducted to analyze how modernization affects the implementation of public service administration policies, especially in Kediri, East Java. As is well known, from time to time various aspects of life are required to undergo changes to a more modern direction. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive qualitative research is aimed at obtaining an overview of how modernization affects public service administration policies in Kediri. To obtain the necessary data, the authors used a purposive sampling technique so that the sample taken was more focused, assisted by a review of several related previous studies. The results showed that modernization, especially in the field of technology, was sufficient to influence public service administration policies in Kediri.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengalaman berliterasi penulis di Kota Bandung dalam menjalani perannya sebagai penulis Sunda.Pokok bahasan yang digali meliputi aspek pendorong menjadi penulis Sunda, pilihan jenis dan tema tulisan untuk menyampaikan perasaan dan pikiran penulis, serta aspek harapan dalam menjalani peran sebagai penulis Sunda.Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi digunakan untuk menguraikan pengalaman pada penulis Sunda dalam berliterasi. Wawancara mendalam dan penelusuran literatur digunakan untuk memperoleh data dari 8 penulis yang menjadi informan penelitian ini. Hasil studi menunjukkan, lingkungan dan kebiasaan membaca menjadi faktor utama yang mendorong penulis untuk menulis dalam bahasa Sunda. Tulisan fiksi dan nonfiksi menjadi pilihan penulis untuk menyampaikan pikiran dan perasannya melalui tulisan. Masalah sosial, sejarah klasik Sunda, kearifan lokal, humor, dan peristiwa aktual menjadi pilihan tema dalam tulisan para informan. Adapun yang menjadi aspek harapan sebagai penulis Sunda adalah memelihara keberlangsungan bahasa Sunda, serta berharap dapat membawa budaya Sunda ke peradaban global. Kata kunci: Literasi, Budaya Sunda, Penulis Sunda, Pelestarian Budaya ABSTRACTThis research aims to describe the author's experience in doing literacy as a Sundanese writer in Bandung City. The subject explored includes the driving aspects of being a Sundanese writer, choice of types and themes of writing, as well as aspects of hope in carrying out the role as a Sundanese writer. The qualitative method with a phenomenological approach is used to describe the experience of Sundanese writers in literacy. In-depth interviews and literature were used to obtain data from 8 writers who became informants of this study. The result shows that environment and reading habits are the main factors that encourage writers to write in the Sundanese language. Fiction and nonfiction literature contents are used to convey a writer’s thoughts and feelings through writing. Social problems, Sundanese classical history, local wisdom, humor, and actual events are the themes in the informants' writings. The aspect of hope as a Sundanese writer is to maintain the continuity of Sundanese language, and hope to bring Sundanese culture to global civilization.Keywords: Literacy, Sundanese Culture, Sundanese Writers, Cultural Preservation

This study aimed at identifying and understanding more deeply the self-regulated learning of students with high GPA, who had multiple roles (as housewife and worker also). The approach employed in this study was qualitative-phenomenological approach. The subjects of the study were selected by purposive sampling technique and the data were collected using techniques of observations and in-depth interviews. The results indicated that the four subjects conducted self-regulation in learning through regulating the cognition, motivation, behavior and emotion. Moreover, the subjects performed context regulation in order to achieve certain learning objectives. Self-regulated learning performed by the subjects was influenced by specific precipitating situations and the characteristics of each related individual. It was also strengthened by social support given to them. Keywords: self-regulated learning, student, many roles Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami lebih mendalam bagaimana regulasi diri dalam belajar (self regulated learning) mahasiswa yang memiliki banyak peran (sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan bekerja) dengan indeks prestasi tinggi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif-fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah meng¬gunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa empat orang subjek menggunakan regulasi diri dalam belajar berupa regulasi kognitif, regulasi motivasi, regulasi perilaku dan regulasi emosi. Selain itu subjek juga melakukan regulasi konteks agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat dicapai. Regulasi diri dalam belajar yang dilakukan oleh para subjek dipengaruhi oleh situasi pencetus dan karakteristik tiap individu bersangkutan. Regulasi diri dalam belajar yang dilakukan juga tidak terlepas dari dukungan sosial yang diberikan kepada mereka. Kata kunci: regulasi diri dalam belajar, mahasiswa, peran banyak

Abstrak: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dalam mengerjakan soal olimpiade SMP bagi siswa kelas IX SMP N 8 Salatiga. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 4 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil tes dan wawancara diketahui semua subjek tidak memenuhi kelima tahap Krulik & Rudnick pada soal nomor 1. Pada langkah awal tahap membaca dan berfikir (read and think) subjek  telah melakukan kesalahan dalam memahami soal/masalah. Sedangkan untuk soal nomor 2 hanya 1 subjek yang tidak mampu melewati tahap kelima pada tahap teori Krulik dan Rudnick yaitu refleksi dan pengembangan (reflect and extend). Abstract:  This is a qualitative descriptive research. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of mathematics problem solving in doing Junior High Olympics for students of grade IX SMP N 8 Salatiga. The research subjects consist of 4 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of tests and interviews are known that all subjects did not meet the five stages of Krulik & Rudnick in question number 1. In the first step of reading and thinking phase, the subject has made a mistake in understanding the problem. Meanwhile, in question number 2 only 1 subject who is not able to pass the fifth stage at the stage of Krulik and Rudnick theory, that is reflect and extend.

The implementation of Ngaben is one of the Balinese Hindu traditions for the ceremony of a death. The implementation of Ngaben is a ceremony with a series of many activities and invites a crowd of people. The COVID-19 pandemic period requires people not to carry out gathering activities so that they do not become the cause of the spread of the virus and how to keep ceremonial activities running without reducing meaning. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively identify the culture of gathering during cremation and the solutions offered so that gathering activities do not occur and become the spread of covid-19. This study used a qualitative method through a phenomenological approach, using 4 participants (people who are directly related to religious activities, including the community, community leaders namely head of the ward, 1 participant is a religious leader from the Indonesian Hindu Dharma Association in the Buleleng area). Sampling with nonprobability sampling and using purposive sampling. The results of the study found that there were 3 major themes that were found (1) Ngaben is local wisdom or as a very rigid culture, (2) Ngaben as a form of spreading covid and forming a covid cluster, (3) Changes in Ngaben cultural behavior from conventional to Crematorium. The conclusion is that the community cannot stop cremation activities because it is local wisdom, so to prevent new clusters of covid at the cremation ceremony, the community is required to change their behavior and slowly change the cremation that can be done in the crematorium.

Cohesive devices in a piece of writing serve to unify sentences within a text. Building upon Halliday and Hasan’s (1976) Cohesion in English, this study aimed to identify and classify cohesive devices and also to discover the effects of cohesion overuse and underuse found in synopsis writings written for Book Report 1 and Book Report 2 assignment. The data were collected from 40 synopsis writings produced by the 4th and 5th semester students of English Study Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada. The data analysis applied a qualitative method and the data collection used purposive sampling technique. The findings showed that reiteration was the most prominently used type and followed by reference, conjunction, and collocation with the frequency 2,193 (56.94%), 1,405 (36.48%), 64 (2.92%), and 252 (6.54%) times respectively. Other types with low occurrences were elliptical and substitutional cohesion that occurred 3 (0.078%) and 2 (0.051%) times respectively. In some cases, students tended to overuse and underuse cohesive devices. In terms of cohesion overuse, in some cases, the use of reiteration leading to lexical redundancy and monotonous sentences. And in cohesion underuse, the lack of using personal reference and temporal conjunction yielding ineffective and less cohesive sentences. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan Keterampilan Proces Sains (KPS) siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan pembelajaran konvensional mengenai materi pokok elastisitas dan hukum Hooke di SMA. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah quasi-experiment dengan desain two groups pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yang terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan observasi aktivitas KPS siswa. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan pengujian hipotesis uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan KPS yang signifikan antara penerapan menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional dengan nilai sig. 0,000 pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji N-Gain Score dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training lebih tinggi dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa sebesar 0,70 dalam kategori tinggi dibandingkan KPS siswa dengan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 0,59 dalam kategori sedang. Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains; model pembelajaran inquiry training. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the differences in Science Proses Skills (SPS) of students using inquiry training learning model and conventional learning about the subject matter of elasticity and Hooke’s law in High School. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with two groups of pretest-posttest design. The population of this research is all students of class XI MIPA in Public Senior High School 5 Medan. The sample was taken by a purposive sampling technique that consists of two groups, namely an experimental group and a control group. The data collected technique has been done by tests and observations activities SPS student. The data in this research was analyzed a hypothesis-testing t-test. The results showed significant differences in SPS between the application of using inquiry training learning models compared to conventional learning with the value of sig. was 0.000 at the significance of level 0.05. Based on the results of the N-Gain Score test with the application of the inquiry training learning model is higher in increasing SPS of the students by 0.70 in the high category compared to SPS of students with the application of conventional learning by 0.59 in the medium category. Keywords: science process skills; inquiry training learning model.
