At present, the hotel industry is at a very dynamic level of competition. The intense competition requires hotel managemet to implement the right strategy. One strategy that must be implemented is a digital marketing strategy. Digital marketing strategy is a choice of strategies that are developing at this time. However, the development of hotel marketing practices through digital marketing has not been much followed by research developments in the field of digital marketing in the hotel industry. Therefore, this study aims to prove whether the hotel's decision to implement a digital marketing strategy by affiliating with an online travel agent (OTA) will achieve better performance. The research uses exploratory quantitative methods. Using data collected from 65 respondents who are hotel owners/managers, the data is processed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the hotel decision affiliated with OTA had a positive impact on hotel performance.

Firms in many industries engage in price obfuscation—tactics that intentionally make prices more difficult for consumers to discern. Although existing research has focused on the short-term financial gains that motivate firms to obfuscate, reputational concerns may at least partially counteract these incentives if consumers punish deceptive firms via loss of loyalty in future transactions and/or publicly observable negative feedback. This paper addresses the latter possibility, exploring the impact of mandatory shrouded surcharges on firm reputation in the U.S. hotel industry. Using data collected from two major online travel sites, I exploit differences in surcharge disclosure across booking channels to identify the causal effect of hidden “resort fees” on traveler ratings. I find that hidden fees decrease ratings by roughly 0.15 points (on a rating scale ranging from 1 to 5). The magnitude of this effect varies based on firm characteristics, and this variation is consistent with observed heterogeneity in resort fee adoption patterns: when the expected punishment is more severe, firms are substantially less likely to adopt shrouded surcharges. Results shed light on the extent to which reputational mechanisms may act as a check against price obfuscation and other similar practices intended to exploit boundedly rational consumers. Moreover this has led to high general of living, excessive in step with capita income and thereby contributing to the economic development. It is now not a seller’s market and over the years, it has emerge as one of the largest customer markets within the world. Today, the market for the developing economies is based totally on the right competition principle with the presence of both buyers and sellers. Due to the fast growing hotel industry in Taiwan, recent hospitality studies has paid attention to how various factors affect the Taiwanese hotel performance and offered interesting and valuable findings. To expand the financial literature of the Taiwanese hotel industry and the hospitality literature as a whole, this article is the first hospitality study to investigate how board size affects firm performance of publicly traded hotels in Taiwan. Panel regression test results reveal an interesting finding. Specifically, there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between board size and hotel performance in terms of return on assets, return on equity, and Tobin’s Q with an optimal value of board size equal to 10. This indicates that while board size up to 10 has a positive impact on hotel performance (supporting the resource dependence theory), board size can deteriorate hotel performance when it is larger than 10 (supporting the agency theory).

Community engagement activities in the form of counseling to mothers of family empowerment and welfare in Gadingharjo Village, Sanden Sub-District, Bantul Regency is aim to provide additional understanding, knowledge, and training to mothers of family empowerment and welfare in Gadingharjo Village in choosing the right marketing strategy in the digital era and industry 4.0 so the products can be marketed widely by utilizing an application-based marketplace that is currently being popular in Gadingharjo Village, namely Shopee application. Counseling aims to provide additional understanding, knowledge, and training to mothers of family empowerment and welfare in Gadingharjo Village in choosing the right marketing strategy in the digital era and industry 4.0 with lecturing, demonstrating, question & answer, and practicing methods. The benefits that can be obtained by participants from community service activities are increased knowledge and understanding of mothers of family empowerment and welfare in Gadingharjo Village about industry 4.0 and about choosing digital marketing strategies by utilizing an application-based marketplace.

<p><em>The changes in people's purchasing patterns from offline to online cause companies to change the type of their business which also affects the changing of marketing strategy. One of the marketing strategies used by the OTA (Online Travel Agent) industry is affiliate marketing. This study was conducted to find out how Pegipegi affiliate marketers used the digital marketing to help market OTA products in the digital media they use to help provide sales. The method used in this study is qualitative with the case study of Pegipegi affiliate marketers. The data collection was conducted by interviewing. The results of this study indicate that the basic understanding of how to market Pegipegi products through blogs, how to market blog through Google Ads and Facebook Ads, as well as the understanding on the functions of each affiliate marketing tools play an important role in the success of a marketer of Pegipegi affiliate.</em></p>

ABSTRAK   Pemasaran merupakan ujung tombak dari setiap perusahaan. Masing-masing memiliki peluang yang sama untuk memproduksi barang/jasa dan bersaing merebut pasar. Herbadrink Group merupakan sebuah usaha baru yang bergerak di bidang penjualan minuman rempah yaitu wedang uwuh. Produk tersebut  dikemas  dengan  packaging  yang  modern  dengan  nama  Uwuhable.  Usaha  ini  dibentuk dengan  tujuan  untuk  melestarikan  budaya  minum  wedang  yang  baik  untuk  kesehatan  dan berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat dengan menyediakan minuman herbal yang praktis dan menyehatkan. Peranan strategi pemasaran yang tepat sangat berguna agar Uwuhable dapat  dikenal  oleh  konsumen  dan  bisa  bersaing. Penelitian  ini  diharapkan dapat  menghasilkan stategi pemasaran teh rempah Uwuhable yang tepat untuk meningkatkan minat beli konsumen di era urbanisme dan pandemi Covid-19. Untuk menentukan strategi pemasaran yang tepat, penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan analisis SWOT (Strenght, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) dan pendekatan strategi pemasaran 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) kemudian dilanjutkan dengan studi pustaka dan literasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemasaran memiliki peranan yang sangat penting di dalam meningkatkan volume penjualan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan melakukan strategi yang tepat dan perluasan promosi ke media sosial, penjualan Uwuhable semakin meningkat.   Kata kunci : Digital Marketing, Analisis SWOT, Strategi Pemasaran 4P     ABSTRACT   Marketing is the spearhead of every company. Each of them has the same opportunity to produce goods/ser, vices and compete for it’s market. Herbadrink Group is a new business of herbal drinks, namely wedang uwuh. The product is using modern packaging called Uwuhable. Herbadrink Group’s visions are survive a culture of drinking wedang and contributing for public health by providing simple and healthy herbal drinks. This research is expected to produce the right Uwuhable herbal tea marketing strategy to increase consumer buying interest in of urbanism and Covid-19 pandemic era, so if the company using the right marketing strategy it will give a big impact of sales. To determine the right marketing strategy, the authors use data collection techniques by conducting with SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) and a 4P marketing strategy approach (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) followed by literature. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the marketing strategy has a very important role in increasing sales volume. As the result of marketing strategy shows by expanding promotions to social media that comparable with Uwuhable increased sales.   Keywords: Digital Marketing, SWOT Analysis, 4P Marketing Strategy

Word of Mouth Marketing (WOMM) has been used for a long time and is still called the most effective marketing strategy.When many traditional-manual concepts have been displaced due to changes to the digital era, the emergence of the internet has actually added to the effectiveness of this marketing strategy. By adopting the concept of WOM into digital marketing, a profession was born as well as being considered a new advertising medium called a buzzer that carries out buzz marketing activities (the term WOM in the world of digital marketing). Using case study methodology, this research discuss the effectiveness of buzzer as a new media for digital advertising, using the buzz marketing strategy that has been used by The Scarlett Whitening brand. Buzzers are different from influencers and key opinion leaders (KOL) because buzzers are generally ordinary personal accounts or spam accounts that have no personal branding and reputation to be at stake. The use of buzzers is considered the right choice to increase brand awareness.

Digital transformation aims to manage an organization in light of progressing digitalization to assure sustainable value creation since it is a key to develop the new opportunity, product, and sales. PT XYZ gives data-driven solutions for business challenges helping decision-makers to build new revenue streams, to create better customer experiences, and to lower business costs. Therefore, the marketing plan is the main issue for PT XYZ to increase sales and raise awareness of the market in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to propose a new marketing strategy for PT XYZ to compete in the digital infrastructure competition. The author would like to analyze the external and internal data using the qualitative and quantitative methods to formulate SWOT. The SWOT result used to propose new marketing strategies to increase sales and market share in Indonesia with a new STP and 7P marketing mix. In general, the impact of technological change and the right marketing strategy on PT XYZ has a positive effect because it improves human life quality and sustainable society.

The hospitality industry is one of the most significant contributions to the Indonesian economy. Bandung City is one of the areas in West Java that has quite a lot of hospitality companies. One of the hospitality companies in Bandung is Hotel Grand Asrilia. However, lately, it has been found a new type of virus that originated in Wuhan, China which caused the COVID-19 pandemic and brought enormous impact on the Indonesian economy even to the rest of the world. The purpose of this research is to find out the right strategy for Hotel Grand Asrilia in marketing its products during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with the technique of observation data retrieval, interviews, library studies also interpret and outlines the existing data in conjunction with the current situation. The result of this study proved that the application of marketing through digital marketing has a positive impact on Hotel Grand Asrilia where the use of digital marketing in the think is necessary especially in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic so that business activities can continue to run and generate economic value.
