Sarajevo tourist destination has a favorable tourist-geographical position because it is located on an important European tourist corridor used by Central European tourist clientele to circulate towards the Adriatic Sea. At the same time, Sarajevo is the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina and therefore is the most important geographic, geotraffical, political, cultural and tourist center (1/3 of total tourism in Bosnia &Herzegovina). The destination of Sarajevo has an extremely valuable tourism potential (natural and anthropogenic) but according to statistical indicators in the last decade it has had a positive trend of tourism development (moderate to high rates of increase in the number of tourists and overnight stays, accommodation, etc.). It is therefore very important to analyze the receptive cultural factors of tourism: serviceability and content of the tourist stay. These factors largely affect the attractiveness of a destination and its sustainable tourism development. The problem of the paper is identification and valorisation/ evaluation (assessment) of receptive cultural factors and relevant parameters. The aim of the paper is to identify cultural factors of tourism and thier value important for tourism destination development. Research methods are: analysis, identification, classification, field work, surveys, evaluation, Likert method, synthesis. Field work includes: observations, surveys, interviews and other methods of data collection (from relevant institutions). The survey included more than 200 subjects (tourism employers and employees, tourists, tourist carriers) and it allowed to come to important insights regarding the evaluation of receptive cultural factors of Sarajevo tourism. These factors have a favorable tourist value and represent an important predisposition for planning and development of tourism in the destination of Sarajevo.

Sanrobone is a coastal village with tourism potential, including cultural heritage sites and mangrove forests. However, most of the forests have been converted into fish ponds and seaweeds, resulting in abrasion that erodes the village and damages several historical sites in the area. The program aims to empower millennial generation in preserving the cultural reserves and mangrove forests, which in turn can become a community income sector. The millennial generation of Sanrobone is participating in repairing the Sanrobone Fort (Benteng), the Sanrobone King’s Graves, and the mangrove forests through the development of cultural and mangrove-based tourism. This outreach activity employed an active participatory method, namely: (1) Socialisation of the Culture and Mangrove Tourism concept to the community and local government; (2) Training in mangrove planting and management; (3) a comparative study trip to developed cultural tourism and mangrove-based tourism areas. The results showed the millennial awareness of the tourism potential of the region is getting higher, and they can already see various opportunities to manage these tourism potentials as a source of income. What needs to be done next is to improve the skills of the millennial generation in the promotion of regional tourism through digital marketing, which is needed for effective sustainable tourism development in the industrial era 4.0.

Abstract Tourism in rural areas has been defined as all tourist activities conducted in rural areas. The development of tourism in rural areas is dependent on external factors (e.g. landscape attractiveness), as well as internal factors (e.g. involvement of local authorities and society). Hence, it is important to increase the tourism potential for further increase of local tourism, and in turn to intensify the social-economic development according to a sustainable policy and multifunctional rural development. The main aim of the present study was to indicate possibilities to improve tourism management of the Zbąszyń urban-rural commune. For this purpose the following detailed aims were set: to evaluate local society satisfaction with tourism development in Zbąszyń commune, to evaluate the natural-landscape state of the analyzed area, to designate a new tourist trail or to revise the existing trails, and to propose modernization of existing tourism infrastructure. The obtained results revealed that in the opinion of local society there is still not sufficient tourism development despite some natural-landscape values. Hence, activities connected with tourism enrichment should be mainly connected with designation of two new cycling trails and supplementation of tourist information signs and tables. All proposed activities leading to an increase of tourism potential should bear in mind social aspects as well as natural values and would have a positive effect on economic income of the area.

Understanding and being able to measure, analyze, compare, and contrast the image of a tourism destination, also known as tourism destination image (TDI), is critical in tourism management and destination marketing. Although various methodologies have been developed, a consistent, reliable, and scalable method for measuring TDI is still unavailable. This study aims to address the challenge by proposing a framework for a holistic measure of TDI in four dimensions, including popularity, sentiment, time, and location. A structural model for TDI measurement that covers various aspects of a tourism destination is developed. TDI is then measured by a comprehensive computational framework that can analyze complex textual and visual data on a large scale. A case study using more than 30,000 images, and 10,000 comments in relation to three tourism destinations in Australia demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed framework.
