Abstract One of the main goals of contemporary media, along with the experts and professionals, who speak in them, has been to explain complex issues and provide the audience with clear descriptions of social reality. This is mostly achieved by the production of ideologically useful interpretative schemes that facilitate understanding of the issues present on the media agenda. An important strategy of shaping the public opinion in the way in which public affairs and the activity of social life participants is framed. Analyses of such practices have been conducted for over thirty years within various research approaches collectively referred to as framing analysis. This research provides several arguments helping one to develop a more critical perspective on the representations of social phenomena dominant in the media and discourses of symbolic elites (e.g. opinion writers, academics, experts, journalists, politicians), along with the analyses of the origin of such phenomena, moral judgements and preferred "corrective policies". One of the phenomena defined by the media in Europe as the most important one for the past several years, is the so-called "New Right". The aim of the paper is to analyse the interpretative schemes used by the journalists of four Polish opinion-forming weeklies and to describe the activity of its German manifestation – the Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident (Pegida) social movement and the Alternative for Germany party (AfD).

Islam has been known as a religion of Rahmatn lil’alamiin which guarantees inclusion and maintains a treatise on all humanity. However, the interpretation of universality of Islam does not meet a common understanding even though within Muslim community itself. Those diverse interpretations have resulted in how the universality of Islam has been expressed. One of those quarrels toward interpretation is the discussion of Islam Nusantara. West Sumatera is one of the regions in Indonesia which implements Islamic law as its customary law in which rejection against Islam Nusantara has been echoed across the borders. The rejection caused reactions from various parties since West Sumatera strongly stated the rejection as a way for preserving it. Those dispute has been sharpened by the online news in several Indonesian media that began to raise the phenomenon up. This research aim to find out how those medias frame the news and whether online media contribute on minimizing public tensions. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach. The source of the data focused on Indonesian online media news on 2018 and was analyzed with framing analysis from Robert N. Entman and also using the concept of treatment recommendation as an analyzes of dispute resolution. The results discovered that media with its framing analysis technique has their own moral judgement and treatment recommendation as a form of dispute resolution towards discourses in the media. This moral judgment can show the tendency and alignment of a media regarding an issue. In addition, the media also has an important role in developing the audience’s mindset in the midst of dispute it can be analyzed from the treatment recommendation that can be used as a media based dispute resolution.

The development of the Internet and social media and networks as a media environment and communication channels combined with the specificity of the journalistic profession in the online environment are a factor which contributes to the emergence and proliferation of fake news. The lack of reliable fact checking by the media and the fast news consumption by the public lead to mass disinformation about certain issues or subjects. The current paper examines fake news from several points of view and describes the models of their use – as harmless jokes, as lack of journalistic competence or professionalism and as means of manipulation and intentional misleading of public opinion. This study aims to determine how online media of kompas.com and okezone.com in framing news about dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. To achieve this goal, this study uses a qualitative research method, where the author uses the framing analysis model of Robert N. Entmant. The object of this research is news regarding the politics of President Jokowi's dynasty, in online media kompas.com and okezone.com. The data collection technique used literature study. The results of the analysis of this study present news about dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. In the results of the news framing analysis using the Robert N. Entman model, there are several stages such as problem definition, problem estimation from problem sources, moral decision making, and problem solving. The news on kompas.com clearly highlighted news that was contra or disagreeable with the existence of dynastic politics in Indonesia, especially in the 2020 Pilkada, while the news on okezone.com clearly did not question the existence of dynastic politics in the 2020 Pilkada. The victory of the two PDI-Perjuangan candidates is part of the General Chair's commitment to ensure that his party leads to produce quality young leadership. Of course, the imbalance in the selection of sources in the news is very important so that people who see it can provide a more objective opinion of the news.

This agenda-building study employed a path analysis model to examine the three-way relationship among the public, the media, and the president on the issue of drug abuse during the Nixon administration. The path model also measured the extent to which these actors were influenced by real-world conditions about the number of drug-related arrests in the United States. Past studies have suggested a cyclical relationship should exist among the president, the press, and the public. This study, however, found a linear relationship with issues moving first, from real world to the media and the public, then from the media to the public, and finally from the public to the president.
