The article deals with the system of ethical values on which local history is based. Local history, as an interdisciplinary theoretical and practical activity, generates a lot of ethical dilemmas and needs ethical reflection, especially now when thanks to the development of technology local history classes become popular and accessible to many people of different ages and different levels of education. Inclusion of young people in local history through volunteer projects should be adapted to the specifics of the moral codes of related specialties (search movement, academic, journalistic, etc. ethics) and should rely on the ethical principles of local history. In the article, the applicability of the terms ethos and professional code of ethics to local history are reasoned. On the one hand, the lack of specialty like local historian and its amateur character do not allow us to speak about a professional code. On the other hand, ethical orientation and a high level of social responsibility encourage us to speak about the necessity of developing an ethical code. Thus, the axiological system of local history could be considered from the position of professional or applied ethics. At this level of the study, the author prefers to use the term ethos as a reflection of basic values and moral imperatives. Among the most typical problems a local historian may face is the conscious or unconscious violation of research ethics, disclosure of confidential information, the abuse of position and knowledge, causing damage to cultural sites out of ignorance, etc. The search movement, which pays the biggest attention to ethics because of its specificity, stands out as it has a developed ethical code unlike other types of local history. The analysis of the local history practice has allowed allocating the most typical moral dilemmas and formulating the basic moral imperatives: overcoming of globalization preservation of identity in parallel with intercultural dialogue dedication to constructive tolerance free creativity that is yet coordinated with the likeminded and is based on the ideals of scientific rationality and academic ethics protection of the interests of the society and culture and opposition to commercialization and pragmatism. Ignoring the ethical component can be the reason for discrediting local history and related volunteer projects in the eyes of the public and professionals from related sciences. The participation of local history representatives in the discussion of ethical problems in their activities will positively affect the status of local history and its institutionalization.

The nature of Physical Education (PE) is grounded in movements, games and sports; this lends itself to a high rate of interaction between PE teachers and students. As such, PE teachers need to be aware and comply with their professional code of ethics and conduct (PCEC) in their relationship with students during theory and practical lessons as well as during interschool competititons and outside school contexts. The idea of PE teachers' compliance with PCEC in Tanzania has not been widely investigated, so this study is rare and important to the field. The purpose of the study was to determine the perception of students on PE teachers' compliance with PCEC in Tanzania. The study utilized descriptive survey design and was conducted in secondary schools and teachers’ colleges that had PE and sport programs. Purposive sampling was adopted to select PE students and data were collected through a questionnaire. Participants were 720 students who were either studying PE or participating in school sports. It was concluded that PE students perceive their teachers as having a high level of compliance with the PCEC and their perception is influenced by their level of education. It was recommended that there is a need to improve and sustain PE programmes in schools and colleges, emphasize training in the codes for teachers, and moral education for students. There is also a need to improve teacher-student-relationship and school-community partnerships through sports. Further study should be conducted to determine unethical behavior in teacher-student relationships in the context of school sport.

A notary is an authorized public official whose main obligation is to make authentic deeds based on a professional code of ethics, related to the widespread indications of forgery of the authentic deeds, of course this needs to be accounted for by the notary himself. This study aims to identify and explain the criminal liability of a Notary against an authentic deed made and indicated forgery and to find out the legal status of a deed made by a Notary that caused a dispute. The data collection carried out in this research is by interview and literature study as well as the applicable legislation. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that if the notary is proven to have falsified or falsified the authentic deed he made and caused harm to interested parties, the notary can be sentenced to criminal, civil, and administrative sanctions. The legal status of the deed that is proven to be falsified by the Notary who made it, which can be canceled, null and void, has the power of proof as an underhand deed, canceled by the parties themselves and canceled by a court decision that has permanent legal force. However, the status or position of the Notary deed can’t be carried out jointly, but only applies to one, in accordance with a permanent court decision.

With the development of the Internet of Things (IoT), many kinds of wireless signals (e.g., Wi-Fi, LoRa, RFID) are filling our living and working spaces nowadays. Beyond communication, wireless signals can sense the status of surrounding objects, known as wireless sensing , with their reflection, scattering, and refraction while propagating in space. In the last decade, many sophisticated wireless sensing techniques and systems were widely studied for various applications (e.g., gesture recognition, localization, and object imaging). Recently, deep Artificial Intelligence (AI), also known as Deep Learning (DL), has shown great success in computer vision. And some works have initially proved that deep AI can benefit wireless sensing as well, leading to a brand-new step toward ubiquitous sensing. In this survey, we focus on the evolution of wireless sensing enhanced by deep AI techniques. We first present a general workflow of Wireless Sensing Systems (WSSs) which consists of signal pre-processing, high-level feature, and sensing model formulation. For each module, existing deep AI-based techniques are summarized, further compared with traditional approaches. Then, we provide a view of issues and challenges induced by combining deep AI and wireless sensing together. Finally, we discuss the future trends of deep AI to enable ubiquitous wireless sensing.

THE Committee on Nutrition has been designated by the Executive Board of the American Academy of Pediatrics to serve in a consultative capacity in determining the suitability of advertisements of nutritional products in the official publications of the Academy. Understanding between industry and the medical profession will be fostered by a readily available statement of the basis upon which judgment of advertisements of nutritional products will be made. Assurance can be given that this will be applied objectively, fairly and with sympathetic understanding of the position of industry. It is hoped that thereby this statement can assume the status of a Code of Ethics and Etiquette in the promotion of products intended for maintenance of optimal nutrition or treatment of disorders of nutrition in infancy, childhood and adolescence. The Committee on Nutrition will remain receptive to counsel from all sources, and sensitive to the implications of its own statements and actions. The following principles will be continuously re-examined in the light of experience and pertinent evidence. Good Advertising Good advertising serves the interest of both merchant and consumer. Good advertising begins with a reliable product. Good advertising achieves a pleasant informative memory of the product and its usefulness in the mind of the consumer. In short, this implies an honest product, truthfully and artistically advertised. Honesty is the best cornerstone upon which to build the type of promotion that will serve the mutual interest of industry, the consumer, and the medical profession. Quality of the Product Proof of quality of the product must at all times be available to those who must evaluate promotional material. This applies to foods and to individual ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, etc.

Purpose As luxury goods are losing their importance for demonstrating status, wealth or power to others, individuals are searching for alternative status symbols. Recently, individuals have increasingly used conspicuous consumption and displays of experiences on social media to obtain affirmation. This study aims to analyze the effects of luxury and nonluxury experiences, as well as traditional luxury goods on status- and nonstatus-related dimensions. Design/methodology/approach After presenting the theoretical foundation, the authors conduct a study with 599 participants to compare status perceptions elicited by the conspicuous consumption of luxury goods, luxury experiences and nonluxury experiences. The authors investigate whether experiences that are visibly consumed on Instagram are replacing traditional luxury goods as the most important status symbols. Furthermore, the authors examine the effects of the content shown on nonstatus-related dimensions and analyze whether status perceptions differ between female and male social media communicators. Finally, the authors analyze how personal characteristics (self-esteem, self-actualization and materialism) influence the status perceptions of others on social media. Findings The results show that luxury goods are still the most important means of displaying status. However, especially for women, luxury experiences are also associated with a high level of social status. Thus, the results imply important gender differences in the perceptions of status- and nonstatus-related dimensions. Furthermore, the findings indicate that, in particular, the individual characteristics of self-actualization and materialism affect status perceptions depending on the posted content. Originality/value While the research has already considered some alternative forms of conspicuous consumption, little attention has been given to experiences as status symbols. However, with their growing importance as substitutes for luxury goods and the rise of social media, the desire to conspicuously consume experiences is increasing. The authors address this gap in the literature by focusing on the conspicuous display of luxury and nonluxury experiences on social media.

Japan is going through a transformation, yet it is difficult to judge which model should be chosen as a direction to go in with corporate reforms. Badly needed initiatives seeking to replace outdated managerial habits by new best practices in Japanese firms are being jeopardized by organizational members whose goal is to maintain the status quo — in terms of both political power and everyday work routines. Yet managerial habits and behaviours need to change if Japanese firms are to be entrepreneurial and innovative. According to institutionalism, blocking new initiatives is normal, and societal support is needed for major reform attempts. The focus of this paper is to shed light on how society in Japan is divided when it comes to large firms altering practices with which they have been traditionally managed. Our proposition is that complex, multi-element reform packages — having a potentially opposing dominant coalition, which is the case of Japan — ought to be implemented following a well-defined, prioritized listing of elements. After examining an attitude survey carried out in Japan, our findings revealed two clusters with a particularly high level of support for traditional management. Moreover, out of the two, one appeared to be extremely passive and resistant to any sort of change. In order to fight general resistance and reform outdated practices, our survey shows that Japan could move further towards a system compensating performance rather than seniority and giving more chance to women, discarding mass-recruitment, slow promotion whilst also maintaining the most deeply-rooted traditional values such as job security, paternalism or harmony in corporate life.

The main objective of this paper is to highlight the essential role of professional accountants in enhancing public sector accountability in the present democratic era. The spate of public sector unaccountability scandals in the present democratic era in Nigeria evidently engenders the quest for proper accountability in the public sector. The paper begins with a conceptualization of accountability from the public sector perspective. It also attempts to cursorily highlight the nexus between public sector governance and accountability, before examining the issues currently undermining public sector accountability in Nigeria. It ends by pointing out the ways in which professional accountants can contribute to public sector accountability in Nigeria. In line with the many issues articulated in this paper, it is believed that a sense of value reorientation and strict adherence to professional code of ethics by professional accountants, among others, would reposition professional accountants to effectively contribute to public sector accountability in Nigeria.

Islamic psychotherapy has been an interesting discussion over the past few years. This is indicated by the number of studies on Islamic psychotherapy, both literature studies and experiments. As a method of psychotherapy, Islamic psychotherapy cannot be separated from ethics code. However, Islamic psychotherapy is based on two principles, namely the science of psychology and Islamic religion. It leads to debate about the form of ethical code of Islamic psychotherapy. This study aimed to provide suggestions for the formulation of a code of ethics in Islamic psychotherapy using literature study. The result is a clear formulation of ethical code of Islamic psychotherapy. The formulation is based on psychology ethics which is then interpreted according to the context of Islamic psychotherapy. It is intended that the perception and implementation of Islamic psychotherapy can be standardized and not leading to ethical violations

Ethical and aesthetic consciousness is considered in the article as a single phenomenon with a priority of the ethical component. The analysis is carried out in comparative studies of two methods: consideration of the topic in the mirror of modern literature of Kazakhstan as a form of public consciousness and study of the same problem in the mirror of sociological material. These approaches complement each other and make it possible to identify two levels of social consciousness in the ethical and aesthetic dimension: the existing and the due. Sociology enables analysis at the first level. Literature combines both the one and the other, emphasizing the level of due, transformation of reality and resolution of the indicated contradictions. As a result, it was found that the key construct of the ethical and aesthetic consciousness of Kazakhstanis is the idea of cohesion and unity of all ethnic groups with the leading role of the Kazakh people. This idea has the deepest moral meaning and at the same time has the status of beauty, i.e. character aesthetic. Discord is always ugly. Whereas, unity in its essence is beautiful, showing a combination of good and beauty.
