Currently, the development of information technology and the increase in the number of nursing students occur drastically. Based on this premise, the purpose of this article is to shed light into the future development of curriculum for the nursing field. Philosophy is considered one of the most important components of both education system and curriculum, because the educational philosophies reflect the social, economic and political aspects of a society, in which they are applied. As an educator, understanding the philosophy to be adapted in the curriculum and learning process is important, to provide a framework for the best performance of both the teacher and the student. In conclusion, it is important to implement the philosophy of curriculum in the education program as each philosophy aids in the principles and guidelines of the learning process. Globally, most programs are usually based on the philosophy related to that program. Therefore, as an educator, we must know the philosophical development of the curriculum of education, so that we are able to analyse and choose which is appropriate.

Modern approaches in deep neural networks have a number of issues related to the learning process and computational costs. This article considers the architecture grounded on an alternative approach to the basic unit of the neural network. This approach achieves optimization in the calculations and gives rise to an alternative way to solve the problems of the vanishing and exploding gradient. The main issue of the article is the usage of the deep stacked neo-fuzzy system, which uses a generalized neo-fuzzy neuron to optimize the learning process. This approach is non-standard from a theoretical point of view, so the paper presents the necessary mathematical calculations and describes all the intricacies of using this architecture from a practical point of view. From a theoretical point, the network learning process is fully disclosed. Derived all necessary calculations for the use of the backpropagation algorithm for network training. A feature of the network is the rapid calculation of the derivative for the activation functions of neurons. This is achieved through the use of fuzzy membership functions. The paper shows that the derivative of such function is a constant, and this is a reason for the statement of increasing in the optimization rate in comparison with neural networks which use neurons with more common activation functions (ReLU, sigmoid). The paper highlights the main points that can be improved in further theoretical developments on this topic. In general, these issues are related to the calculation of the activation function. The proposed methods cope with these points and allow approximation using the network, but the authors already have theoretical justifications for improving the speed and approximation properties of the network. The results of the comparison of the proposed network with standard neural network architectures are shown

Useful attempts to shed light on the nature of gastronomy from a scientific point of view and to unravel the crucial connection between food, eating and well-being are currently underrepresented in the scientific literature. However, several scientific disciplines ranging from the natural to the social sciences offer valuable new perspectives on gastronomy. As one of the key disciplines in natural science, physics offers original and rigorous perspectives on all processes and structures constrained by the laws of nature. The emerging discipline called gastrophysics employs the full range of concepts, techniques and methods from physics to generate useful scientific input to the complex and holistic reflections on gastronomy. Relying on a review of the existing literature, this article illustrates how a science-based gastrophysics emerges, to a large extent from the convoluted history of food science as well as from various recent – and often overlapping – attempts to combine modern scientific methodology to questions from gastronomy. However, the present review also insists on a physics-inspired methodology to handle scale and complexity in food preparation and consumption across length scales from sub-molecular to entire foods. We exemplify how gastrophysics directly helps to develop gastronomy and how it adds to current approaches in traditional food science. We also suggest that gastrophysics may prove relevant in the context of the ongoing food transformation, which focuses strongly on sustainability, but where the importance of gastronomic aspects in this transformation is greatly needed.

This study focussing on the use of code switching produced by instructors in English teaching and learning process based on Sosiolinguistics and language teaching point of view. This research uses qualitative method and records the process of teaching English and interviews the instructors and students as a technique of this research to find the importance of code switching. The data were transcripted and analyzed use the concepts of Wardhaugh and Suwito about types of code switching and functions of code switching use the concept of Margana. The research shows that there are 4 types of code switching intern, extern, metaphorical dan situasional code switching. Extern code switching are code switching from English to Indonesian (i.e. do you know what day is tomorrow? Besok hari apa?) and English to Manado Malay (i.e. you know what I mean? Mangarti nda?). Intern code switching is code switching from Manado Malay to Indonesian (i.e. besok hari libur jadi nda ada les. Lesnya nanti minggu depan). Metaphorical code switching is a code switching without any changing topic. Situasional code switching is a code switching with changing topic. Also, there are 7 types of code switching, they are repetition, clarification, exploration, explanation, giving assignment, checking students’ understanding and giving warning/suggestion. It can be concluded that there are 4 types of code switching produced by instructors in English teaching and learning process. They are extern, intern, metaphorical and situasional code switching. Besides, there are 7 functions of code switching. The success of a learning process depends on the teacher’s mastery of materials, strategies, and media. Teachers need to possess high creativity to maintain their students’ interest and motivation in learning. The integration of effective learning models and appropriate media, such as using plastic waste as realia, can be one of the alternatives to improve the quality of learning. This study also aimed to examine students' awareness of environmental issues. The quantitative and qualitative data of the study were collected simultaneously to answer the research problems. Interviews were conducted during the implementation of the learning process and quizzes. A pre-experimental one-shot case study design was employed to gather the quantitative data which were then analyzed descriptively. The results of the current study showed that the students' intuitive thinking started to develop in phase 3, where they were asked to identify the type of plastic glass they were holding. Phase 4 that allowed the students to separate parts constructing the glass, determine the name of each part, and set a point of view or the purpose underlying the material presented was the phase where the students performed an analytical thinking process. In phase 5, the students were allowed to solve a mathematical problem using analytical thinking. The interaction between students' intuitive and analytical thinking shown in the identification and labeling of each type of three-dimensional form will be discussed in this article

<p>This specific study deals with a unique piece of Buddhist architecture, the Guardstone found almost in every part of ancient kingdoms in Sri Lanka spanning from Anuradhapura to Kandy period significantly. The Guardstone is an excellent piece of structure placed on either side of the first step of the flight of stairs at the entrance of ancient religious buildings or palaces in Sri Lanka. The origin of this architectural masterpiece is still to determine. Nevertheless, it is widely accepted in an evolutionary point of view that the guardstone has passed through several developmental stages from a simple slab to a highly sophisticated artifact in its dimensions, complexity and artistry. The numerous inclusions as well as exclusions from time to time to this artifact still remain uncertain as to whether they were due to secular or ecclesiastical reasons or simply due to the creators own culture influenced imagination. This study will peruse all the possible evidence that are available architecturally and to develop a logical reasoning for any identifiable characteristic and to elucidate with reasonable legitimacy as to how and why such a character is present or absent in a particular guardstone. This study in no way has any intention of rejecting or amending any proposition available at present but will pursue its best to shed light only on the attributes of a guardstone and to concentrate on the diversities of this beautiful monastic artifact that deserves serious academic study and meticulous aesthetic evaluation.</p>
