Algesquares is an innovative method based on the algebraic tiles created by Caleb Gattegno, which seeks a more dynamic student experience, instead of teaching algebra by the traditional method. The present work aimed to present the design of an application that functions as a teaching tool for students and teachers, in Basic Algebra topics, through a board with colored cards marked with a positive and negative sign that solve issues such as reduction of terms like, multiplication, factoring, etc. Students will be the protagonists of their own learning and will play an active role in and out of the classroom, obtaining points through solving interactive algebraic exercises, increasing levels and difficulty. Algesquares, seeks to capture the student's attention, motivate and interest them, encouraging students to be self-taught, advancing in the application gradually and advancing at their own pace, building meaningful learning in students, developing mathematical skills, knowledge and skills, to continue their school training.

False claims disseminated on social media by extremists can convince ordinary people not just to sit in their armchairs and rage at the violence of one side or another but to leave their homes either to riot at the Capitol in Washington, DC, for example, or to sneak over international borders in order to join the so-called “Islamic State.” Governments' softer counterextremist policies may focus on messaging but tend to overlook the specific claims aimed at those vulnerable to radicalisation. Furthermore, general lack of trust in officialdom can undermine its messaging or even serve to bolster the extremist “us and them” narrative. This chapter suggests that, by harnessing their specialist information literacy knowledge and skills, librarians can build on their positive social capital and assume an active role in developing in their users the critical thinking and awareness necessary to identify and expose misleading extremist propaganda, thereby helping to make their local communities safer.

Vocational training of students in diet habits and active lifestyle habits has recently become an important issue, given the health problems caused as a result of a poor diet. The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of different training actions (traditional method and digital resources) carried out in a program of dietary habits and active lifestyle at the vocational training stage. A quasi-experimental design of the pre-post type was developed. A sample of 177 participants was chosen. The instrument to collect the data was the validated ECHAES questionnaire. The results show that all study groups demonstrated similar averages across all dimensions, except in the digital resource post-test design, where the averages were higher than the rest. There was a significant relationship between the traditional teaching method and the post-test digital resources design in all dimensions. There was also a significant relationship between the pre-test and post-test of the traditional teaching method and the digital resource group in the dimensions. It can be concluded that both the traditional and the innovative method lead to learning in the vocational training student, although the values achieved by the group where the innovative method was adopted were much higher than in the traditional group.

The article represents the author’s experience in creating a PR-glossary in the course of lessons of the Russian language with foreign students who study in Russian higher education institutions at the programme “Advertising and Public Relations”. The author considers work on creating a glossary not only as a traditional method of enlarging a student’s vocabulary but also as an innovative method of teaching students to understand and use vocabulary of the publicistic style on the basis of such modern sources as online magazines, online newspapers, websites, the corpus of the Russian language and online dictionaries, thus developing students’ lexicographic skills.

The purpose of the study was to analyze the total content of antioxidants (TAC) in the national Khakass product talgan consisted of oats grain. Talgan was prepared according to traditional (frying, grinding) and innovative (grinding, frying) methods. In this series of experiments, three oat cultivars were used: Argument (chaffy caryopsis), Tubinsky (chaffy caryopsis) and Golets (bare-grained). All samples were grown on the territory of the Beysk state section of the Republic of Khakassia, which was characterized by favorable climatic conditions for growing grain with a high antioxidant content. For TAC determination in grain, 2 solvents were used - bidistilled water and 70% ethanol. The TAC measurement was performed on ‘Tsvet Yauza-01-AA’. Gallic acid was used as a reference sample. In oat talgan, prepared according to the traditional method from chaffy caryopsis samples, the total content of antioxidants had a higher value than that before processing (regardless of the nature of eluting solvent). However, the opposite tendency was observed in the case of bare-grained sample. Higher rates among all samples were recorded when using hot bidistilled water as eluting solvent. The use of innovative method for production of talgan showed that the total content of antioxidants in all samples had higher values in comparison with the traditional method. Using a three-factor analysis, it was found that the TAC values in oat talgan were two-thirds dependent on the method of preparing the product; solvent nature and genotype affected much less.

Abstract: Aesthetic education is a special type of education which perceptively impregnates people. College art education should be based on students' esthetic ability and comprehensive quality to undertake educational activities and practice, as an important provider of esthetic training. Besides developing art knowledge and skills, art education also has an enormous educational function that enables educated people to develop comprehensive quality. In the context of esthetics, the paper highlights the challenges faced by universities in the present art's educational environment, makes a few suggestions for the traditional method of teaching, and focuses on improving the autonomy and quality of the art education of students.

Community service activities (CSA) have been carried out using lecture methods, discussions, and practices regarding innovations in making healthy noodles without preservatives to provide information, knowledge, and skills regarding innovations in making healthy food and encourage and increase entrepreneurship homemakers. The innovation of making healthy noodles with ingredients without preservatives is considered vital because it is beneficial for health and as a step to utilize natural ingredients obtained in the surrounding environment. This activity was attended by 20 housewives in Sidomulyo Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City, North Sumatra Province with different knowledge backgrounds. The CSA training that has been carried out provides understanding and skills to homemakers in processing natural ingredients into healthy food and can increase the economy because it can be commercialized. This CSA training also received a positive response from participants because it could practice directly, and the team provided the freedom to express opinions and develop ideas during the activity. This service activity was considered very useful as much as 65% and use as much as 35% of the questionnaire results distributed during the implementation of the activity. Through this CSA activity, it is hoped that the active role of participants in distributing knowledge and skills to the community in the surrounding environment is expected.

Loa Village is one of the villages located in Paseh District, Majalaya, Bandung Regency. Loa Village has potential to be developed, in the field of animal husbandry. Many of the resident raising the chicken and duck in groups, but still use the traditional method, which is naturally hatching eggs by the hen so that it is difficult to get Kampong chicken seeds. With the village profile as above, we are challenged to provide the knowledge and techniques of raising Kampong chickens to Loa Village public, especially to farmer group members, through the virtual KKN-PPMD Padjadjaran University. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of breeders in raising chickens, hatching eggs, composing the rations, processing chicken products and increasing the production of day old chicks. Apparently, the enthusiasm of the participants to gain knowledge and skills in raising Kampong chicken was quite high. Knowledge of the participants regarding the management of chickens, the preparation of rations are still lacking, but the enthusiasm of farmers to learn all the knowledge about raising Kampong chickens is very good, so that this activity can increase knowledge about how to hatch eggs and skills to operate the incubator and  have a great passion for the business of  Kampong chickens. Abstrak Desa Loa merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Paseh, Majalaya Kabupaten Bandung. Desa Loa memiliki potensi yang harus dikembangkan, salah satunya yaitu potensi di bidang peternakan. Banyak dari penduduknya yang merupakan kelompok peternak ayam dan entok, tetapi masih menggunakan cara trasional yaitu menetaskan telur secara alami oleh induk sehingga sulit mendapatkan bibit ayam kampung. Melihat profil desa seperti di atas, maka kami tertantang untuk memberikan pengetahuan tehnik beternak ayam kampung kepada para anggota kelompok tani melalui Kegiatan KKN-PPMD virtual universitas Padjadjaran kepada masyarakat Desa Loa khususnya kepada kelompok peternak. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peternak dalam budidaya beternak ayam, menetaskan telur, menyusun ransum, dan pengolahan hasil ternak ayam serta meningkatkan produksi anak ayam untuk bibit. Dari kegiatan ini antusiasme peserta untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan usaha budidaya beternak aym lokal cukup tinggi. Wawasan peserta mengenai tatalaksana pemeliharaan ayam, serta penyusunan ransum masih sangat kurang, tetapi animo peternak sangat baik untuk belajar semua pengetahuan tentang budidaya beternak ayam lokal, sehingga kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai cara-cara menetaskan telur dan keterampilan mengoperasikan cara menetaskan telur dengan mesin tetas dan semangat untuk usaha beternak ayam kampung.
