Pada proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak, orang tua dan keluarga memiliki peran yang sangat penting bukan hanya untuk memenuhi nutrisi yang cukup, memberikan perhatian dan kasih saying, melainkan juga memberikan stimulus untuk membantu proses penyempurnaan jaringan syaraf anak salah satunya dengan melakuan pijat bayi. Seni pijat diajarkan secara turun-temurun walaupun pada awalnya tidak diketahui secara jelas bagaimana pijat dan sentuhan dapat berpengaruh demikian positif pada tubuh manusia. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisa pengaruh pijat bayi terhadap perkembangan bayi usia 3-5 bulan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Experiment dengan desain Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 bayi yang terdiri atas 15 bayi yang diberikan pijatan sebanyak 3x dalam seminggu selama 4 minggu dan 15 bayi yang tidak diberikan pijitan. Analisis data dilakukan dalam dua tahapan yaitu analisis univariat, bivariat, dengan bantuan software Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan skor perkembangan yang bermakna pada bayi yang dilakukan pijata dan bayi yang tidak dilakukan pijatan, sehingga pijat bayi dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan bayi usia 3-5 bulan dengan p value 0.000. Saran para orang tua yang memiliki bayi dapat melakukan pijat bayi kepada bayinya minimal 2x dalam seminggu untuk membantu merangsang perkembangan bayinya, dan juga untuk menjalin kasih sayang antara ibu dan bayi. Abstract In the process of growth and development of children, parents and families have a very important role not only to meet adequate nutrition, attention and affection, but also provide the stimulus to help the process of perfecting the nerve tissue of children one by performing baby massage. The art of massage was taught for generations although initially not known for certain how the massage and touch can thus positively affect the humanbody. The study aims to analyze the effect of infant massage on the development of infants aged 3-5 months. The study design used wasExperiment with design Randomized Controlgroup pretest-posttest design. Total sample of 30 infants consisted of 15 infants given a massage 3x a week for 4 weeks and 15 infants who were not given massage. Data analysis was performed in two stages, namely univariate, bivariate, with the help of software results showed a significant difference in developmental scores in babies and infants pijata do not do massage, so that baby massage can affect the development of babies aged 3-5 months with p value 0.000. Advice of parents who have babies can feed their babies infant massage at least 2x a week to help stimulate the development of the baby, and also to establish the lovebetween mother and baby.

The massage is not only done when the baby is healthy, but also on sick or fussy babies and infants has become routine care after birth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of infant massage on weight gain in infants aged 0-6 months. This type of research is Experimental with Quasy Experiment. The population in this study was 0-6 month-old baby. The sample amounted to 24 people consisting of 12 people who were given infant massage and 12 people were not given infant massage with technique sampling nonprobability. Data was collected using a computerized questionnaire then processed in the univariate and bivariate analyzes. The results obtained infant weight gain on average increased weight infants fed infant massage is 800 gram/month and on average increased weight infants who were not given the baby massage is 233.33 gram/month. Results of statistical test p value = 0.000 visible means no significant difference on average between giving a massage in infants with weight gain in infants aged 0-6 months. The conclusion can be drawn that the baby is gaining weight rapidly increases with doing baby massage, and also advice it to parents to always perform routine infant massage on baby.

Episiotomy is one of the most common midwifery interventions method for preventing injuries to the pelvic floor during the delivery process. Traditional medicine has a special place in improving the quality of postpartum care. Sesame is one of the herbs with anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and antioxidant activity.  This study was evaluate the effect of sesame ointment on episiotomy healing. Methods: This randomized control clinical trial was performed on 104 eligible women. The samples were block randomly assigned to one of the groups Intervention and control. Samples were used sesame and placebo ointment for epizootics from 4 hours after delivery for ten days every 8 hours. Clinical evaluation of episiotomy ulcer was performed 4 hours, 7 and 10 days after delivery with using REEDA tool. SPSS software version 16 was used for data analysis. P value less than 0.05 was considered significant. Results: The average of wound healing rate was 7 days after episiotomy in the intervention group 0.09 ± 0.29 and in the control group was 0.73 ± 0.44. Independent t-test showed that the two groups had a significant difference (p <0.001).Healing of the wound 10 days after episiotomy showed that the mean scores in the control group (0.4 ± 0.49) and in the intervention group (0.02 ± 0.13), healing in the intervention group significantly decreased from the control group (p <0.001). Conclusion: Sesame ointment can be used as a pain relief and accelerator for episiotomy healing.

Background: Independence in elderlies is the ability to carry out daily activities. The Activity of Daily Living (ADL) is a form of measuring a person's ability to perform ADL independently so that information on elderly morbidity can be analyzed. Occupational therapy is the art and science of supporting interactions in everyday life through work (occupation) that enables people to do work that promotes health and well-being and enables a just and inclusive society, encouraging everyone to optimize their potential in the workplace from everyday life. This study aims to identify the independence level of elderlies before and after occupational modality therapy. Methods: The method employed in this study was a quasi-experimental technique design using a pretest-posttest control group design. Results: The results of the study showed a p-value of 0.00, indicating that occupational modality therapy affected the level of independence of the elderlies who were given treatment with a change of independence level from 13.50 to 16.95. Meanwhile, in the control group where the respondents were not given occupational modality therapy, there was no significant difference before and after the final observation. Conclusion: The elderlies who were given treatment became more independent in carrying out their daily activities compared to those who were not given treatment in the control group.

Masalah pertumbuhan dan perkembangan masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan anak pada saat ini. Menurut WHO tahun 2013 mencatat bahwa setiap tahun lebih dari 200 juta anak mengalami gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan.Data nasional Menurut Kemenkes RI bahwa pada tahun 2010, sebesar 11,5 % anak balita di Indonesia mengalami kelainan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan sedangkan dari data Riskesdas tahun 2018 menunjukkan total indeks perkembangan anak di Indonesia mencakup  88,3 % . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pijat bayi terhadap Perkembangan pada bayi usia 3 sampai 6 bulan di Kelurahan Mandalika wilayah kerja Puskesmas Cakranegara Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam proposal ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan non equivalent control group dan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah bayi yang berusia 3-6 bulan yang memiliki perkembangan meragukan atau menyimpang, dengan jumlah sampel 30 bayi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan april 2019.Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa setelah dilakukan uji mann whitney didapatkan hasil analisis pengaruh pijat bayi terhadap perkembangan pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok control yaotu  p value = 0,000 < α (0,05) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol terhadap perkembangan bayi. Ada pengaruh pijat bayi terhadap perkembangan bayi pada usia 3-6 bulan.The problem of growth and development is still a child health problem at this time. According to the 2013 WHO noted that every year more than 200 million children experience growth and development disorders. National data According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health that in 2010, 11.5% of children under five in Indonesia experienced abnormalities in growth and development while from the Riskesdas in 2018 showed the total child development index in Indonesia includes 88.3%. the purpose of this study is to know the Influence of Baby Message for Baby Development at the ages 3 – 6 months on Working Region of Cakranegara Health Center in 2019. The research method used in this proposal was quasi-experimental with a non equivalent control group design and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The population in this study were babies aged 3-6 months who had dubious or deviant development, with a sample of 30 babies. This research was conducted in April 2019. The result of this study is after the Mann Whitney test, the results of the analysis of the effect of infant massage on the development in the experimental group and the control group p value = 0.000 <α (0.05) showed that there were differences between the experimental group and the control group on baby development, so there is an effect of baby massage on the development of babies at the age of 3-6 months.

Introduction: A person who has low self-esteem sees the environment in a negative way and considers it a threat. Schizophrenias patients with negative symptoms generally show a feeling of inferiority, this condition is a problem because of the cause of other problems, such as social isolation. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of giving thought stopping to self-esteem people with schizophrenia. Methods : This research uses quantitative approach the method used was the experimental design of pretest-posttest with control design. The population is the patient who was treated at the Custody. Sampling method in this research is by purposive sampling. Total sample is 90 respondents, divided into two groups, Intervention group 30 and control group 60 respondents. Measurement of data with client's self-esteem observation sheets before and after therapy. Results : The result of bivariate analysis was done using t-test obtained by p-value <0,005.  There is a significant difference in patient self-esteem in the control group and intervention group after thought stopping. Conclusion: These results suggest there is influence of thought stopping with patient self esteem. Sex, length of illness and treatment history are not confounding factors. It is recommended to use thought stopping as one of the actions of nursing, especially on clients with self esteem problems.

Objectives: To evaluate the role of pre-operative lidocaine infusion for pain management in laparotomy procedures. Study Design: Prospective double blind randomized control trial. Period: 8 months duration from April 2017 to November 2017. Setting: Tertiary care hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Method: N= 50 patients belonging to ASA Classification types I and II were selected to be part of this study. All the patients underwent major abdominal surgeries (laparotomy). The study group received lidocaine 2%, 1.5mg/kg IV bolus half an hour before induction, followed by an infusion of 1.5mg/kg/hour. The anesthesia was induced with fentanyl 3ug/kg, propofol 2mg/kg, followed by rocuronium 1mg/kg to intubate the patient. Maintenance was done with using 33% nitrous oxide in oxygen along with 0.8% of isoflurane. Fentanyl was administered as an infusion initiating prior to the procedure with a maximum dose of 1ug/kg/hour and ceasing the infusion half an hour prior to end of procedure. Visual analog scale was used to measure the pain intensity at an interval of twenty minutes during the first hour of the procedure, and at 2,4,8,12,24 and 48 hours after the end of the procedure. If the visual analog scale score was found to be more than 3, 1 to 3mg of Morphine was administered every ten minutes up to a dose of 0.1mg/kg intravenously. A proforma was used to collect data, data was analyzed using IBM SPSS version 21.0. Results: The study was conducted on n=50 patients, with a mean age of 38.35 years in the study group and 36.48 years in the control group. The intensity of pain was found to be significantly less in the case group as compared to the control group having a p value of <0.001 during the first 48 hours of the procedure. Decreased consumption of morphine was observed in patients in the study group, as compared to the control group with a statistically significant difference, having a p value of less than <0.05. In our study we did not observe any side effects related to toxicity levels of lidocaine or morphine. Conclusion: Our study confirms the results of previously done studies, and we found that in our patient population Perioperative lidocaine infusion decreased the post-operative pain experienced by the patient and decreased the need for consumption of analgesics. Thus we conclude that lidocaine infusion perioperatively is an effective pain management modality.

Background: Professional self-esteem for nursing profession refers to the extent to which a person experiences its work as important while appreciating its performance as important. There is evidence that self-esteem is important for health. The majority of the victims of occupational harassment of nursing staff have a middle self – esteem. Purpose: This study tests the effectiveness of adding a fourteen weeks schema-focused Anonymous group psychotherapy via teleconference in victims of workplace harassment in nursing personnel in the island of Crete, Greece. Method: An investigation was carried out in the area of Crete between August 2017 and January 2018 in fourteen Health Centers, two Primary National Health Networks, four Emergency Department, eleven Intensive Care Units. The total sample of the present study was 213 nurses. This case–control study was carried out by α qualified psychologist. The participants were 14 nurses victims of workplace harassment assigned randomly to psychotherapy group and a control group to enhance of their self-esteem. Results: Statistically significant difference are presented in the psychotherapy group during a 14-week period for the scale of General Selfesteem (p-value = 0.002) measured with the Culture Free Self-Esteem Inventories. Conclusions: Anonymous group psychotherapy via teleconference is a safe and effective method for treating self - esteem in victims of workplace harassment. Smartphone applications are developing so rapidly with increasingly sophisticat-ed features. However, smartphone applications widely used to fulfill social needs rather than being used to support learning. The classification skills are essential possessed by students to facilitate the learning of various species. By integrating technology, students expected to be able to have good classification skills. This study aims to improve the classification ability of prospective biology teacher students by using the i-Bird application in the Zoology Vertebrate course. The i-Bird application designed and created specifically for studying Aves. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a randomized control group pretest and posttest design. Involving 82 students divided into two groups. 44 students as an experimental class using the i-Bird app on smartphones (SA) and 38 students as a control class using a bird's guidebook (GB). The results showed the classifica-tion ability of SA students (N-gain =0 .54), and GB (N-gain = 0.44) showed a significant increase in the medium category. The parametric test using a t-test (p-value = .038) showed a significant difference between SA and GB. Thus it can be concluded that technological progress can be used in learning if it is well de-signed. Implications of smartphone applications can develop in future learning, of course, must be designed according to needs.

ABSTRAK Tidur merupakan kebutuhan yang harus terpenuhi terutama pada fase perkembangan karena selama tidur akan terjadi perkembangan otak maupun tubuh, sehingga gangguan tidur merupakan masalah yang akan menimbulkan dampak buruk terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Kualitas tidur bayi yang baik dapat diciptakan dengan memberikan pemijatan bayi secara rutin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa pemijatan dapat mempengaruhi kualitas tidur bayi umur 0-3 bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Quasy Eksperimental dengan metode One Group Pretest-Postest. Sampel 22 bayi yang dipilih dengan tehnik Total Sampling yang di observasi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pemijatan. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitas tidur bayi 0-3 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pijat bayi terhadap kualitas tidur bayi umur 0-3 bulan (p value  0,008 < α = 0,05).Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar keluarga dan masyarakat memberikan pemijatan secara rutin dan mandiri untuk meningkatkan kebutuhan tidur bayi yang berkualitas.   ABSTRACT Sleep is a human necessity that must be met, especially in the development phase because during sleep will occur the brain and body developments, so that sleep disturbance is a problem that would cause adverse effects on infants’ growth and development. The good quality of sleep can be created by providing the infants massage routinely. This study aimed to prove that the massage could affect the quality of sleep on the 0-3 months old baby. This study used Quasy-experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sample 22 infants selected by total sampling technique observed on before and after the massage. The variables measured in this study are the quality of sleep. The results of study indicate that there is an effect of infant massage to the sleep quality on 0-3 months old babies (p value 0,008 < α = 0,05).Based on the results of this study it recommended for the families and communities to provide infant massage regularly and independently to increase the quality of sleep on the baby.

                The evolution of information technology has exerted great influence on nursing education via new pedagogy of knowledge delivery without time and place restriction. Mobile technology revolutionises nursing education and clinical practice via empowering skills of critical thinking and clinical decision-making through learning. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using mobile messenger (Whatsapp) as an educational supporting tool among nursing students. The study design used is a Cluster Randomized Control Trail. Two nursing colleges were selected. Sample size was 93 participants, 48 from the Kuala Terengganu Nursing College Kuala Terengganu as the intervention group while the control group were recruited among 45 participants from UniSZA Nursing College. There is a significant difference in the level of knowledge between pre and posttest among intervention group (mean difference was -8.70 with a standard deviation 8.42, p-value< 0.001) and 93.8 percent of the respondents perceived the usefulness of using WhatsApp mobile messenger to enhance learning. This demonstrates that learning through mobile messenger (WhatsApp) enhances learning and is well received as a new method of learning by almost all students.   Keywords: Mobile learning, WhatsApp messenger, Social Interaction
