ABSTRACTThis research was basically conducted to improve students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and mathematical communication skills both verbally and non-verbally using the Rally Coach learning method. In addition, the main purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the relationship between students’ understanding mathematical concepts and mathematical communication. Therefore, the authors first design instruments to measure students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and mathematical communication skills that have been adapted to indicators. This study is based on correlational research method. The instrument was tested to see its validity and reliability using the Cronbach Alpha formula. The results show that the application of the Rally Coach learning model has a positive influence in improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and mathematical communication. The results of the analysis by statistical testing with Pearson correlation show that there is a relationship between understanding mathematical conception and mathematical communication skills, but the relationship is not so strong. This can be seen from observations made by authors, some students are able to understand mathematical problems, but are not fully able to communicate verbally. Keywords: mathematical communication; mathematical conceptual understanding; Pearson correlation; rally coach; validity and reliability test.

This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of students, where there are many factors that influence this, one of which is the student's learning style. This study aims to determine the effect of learning styles on students' mathematical communication skills. This type of research is ex-post-facto research and was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Mawasangka using a sample of 52 students. From the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that there was a relationship between student learning styles and students' mathematical communication abilities. This was because rhit > rtab (0.38> 0.27), the relationship formed was a positive one-way relationship because of the positive rhit value. In addition, from the one-way ANOVA, it was found that Fcount> Ftable, it was concluded that there were differences in students' mathematical communication skills when viewed from their learning styles and this difference was significant. So it can be concluded that the learning style has an effect on students' mathematical communication skills, and this influence is a positive influence. The ability to understand concepts is one of the goals of mathematical ability. One of the factors for the lack of ability to understand concepts is self-confidence. This study aims to determine the relationship between students' self-confidence and understanding of mathematical concepts in class XI MIA SMAN 3 Lubuk Basung Kabupaten Agam. This study uses inferential research where inferential research is a study that tests a hypothesis, and relates one variable to another with quantitative analysis. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIA 1 SMAN 3 Lubuk Basung. The research instrument used was a self-confidence questionnaire and a test for understanding mathematical concepts. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis and product moment correlation.Based on data analysis, the regression coefficient of the questionnaire score (b) is with a significant level of 0.05 because the regression coefficient (b) is positive, so there is a positive effect of X on Y. It means that the bigger X, the bigger Y on average. The close linear relationship between X and Y can be seen from the correlation coefficient r = where r approaches 1, then a positive linear relationship between X and Y so that it can be concluded that the bigger X, the greater Y and self-confidence has a positive influence on the ability to understand concepts of class XI students. Most studies argue that the implementation of relationship like customer relationship management (CRM) may represent the difference between the success and failure of retailing organization. The purposes of this research is: (1) to test the new construct of CRM based on elements of social media related to the customer relationship, (2) to investigate the relationship between CRM and purchase intention, (3) to investigate the relationship between purchase intention and customer loyalty, (4) to examine the effect of purchase intention as a mediating role between CRM and customer loyalty, (5) to examine psychological distance as the moderating role between CRM and purchase intention. The conceptual focus of CRM model is to see the effectiveness of using social media to create purchase intention and their impact on customer loyalty. This research used SEM analysis with Smart PLS 2.0 version to test the validity and reliability of the data. The data sample is collected from Twitter and Facebook users. The results indicated that the CRM has a positive influence on purchase intention. On the other hand, purchase intention has a positive effect on customer loyalty and at the same time, it played a mediating role between CRM and customer loyalty. Psychological distance was moderated by CRM and purchase intention. The four hypotheses are supported. The limitation of this research is that it is only confined to Twitter and Facebook users that usually go to hypermarkets in five biggest malls in Jakarta.
