Therefore, it contributes to sustainable local development, considering employed people, the number of establishments, the management of the property, which is shared by the family and the presence of women is an incentive for the family to remain in agricultural activity. We also see that there are possibilities for family farming to expand its contribution to the sustainable local development of agribusiness production and organic agriculture. This study aimed to evaluate the experiences of family agriculturists who sell their products in the  Covered  Fair of  Nova Xavantina - MT, from the different strategies used by them, their problems and prospects in relation to income generation and maintenance of families . We surveyed 14 familiar producers and 14 consumers. These numbers have not been defined by statistical criteria, which is characterized by a search combining a quantitative and qualitative approach. The instruments used for data collection consisted of questionnaires, direct observation  and interviews. By this research it could  be seen that the Covered Fair  is an important space of conviviality, trade and consumption, however, this place is still little appreciated by the population and producers. The lack of infrastructure and the stiffness of supervision does not bring attractive to many farmers in the municipality and this is directly reflected in the marketing and purchase of products from family farms, important sector in terms of economic and social development. Thus, public policies for production, consumption and trade are essential for greater inclusion of family farmers in the municipality of Nova Xavantina and region.

This article aims to verify how the process of social innovation, resulting from the constitution of an agroenergy condominium in Brazil, was responsible for the promotion of local development. We consider that social innovation promotes development in its multiparadigmatic concept and is an economic means of governance creation. The results show that there were positive implications for the families, the environment and for the technological development. The use of biofuels is an option to the Brazilian energy scenario, since it has reduced transaction costs. But one challenge is the better use of biodigestion residues, used as biofertilizers. This is a developing and costly process compared to traditional fertilizers. There are also challenges regarding the standardization of the distribution of generated energy and technology for the generation of this energy resource. Finally, a model of local development generation based on greater promotion of social innovation is proposed. The findings from this Brazilian research are not limited for use in Brazil only and can be adopted/adapted for application in other countries provided local cultural differences are considered.

Organic agriculture is a promising and increasingly demanded direction of “greening” agricultural activity, which has a great potential due to natural production technologies. Significant segments of organic products have been formed in the food markets of the developed countries; various institutional systems of the industry have been functioning for decades. Russian agribusiness is globally lagging behind in these matters, but the development of the economic environment has led to the objective necessity of adopting a law and a state standard that would define the requirements for the organic agriculture. Research on the prospects of the Russian food market in the global organic production system is becoming relevant. This work is a two-sided quantitative and qualitative approach to the study of existing production systems of organic food from the standpoint of the results and dynamics, on the one hand, and their organizational and economic structure, on the other. The findings and results are confirmed by the presented and systematized absolute and relative indicators of land areas certified for organic agriculture, the number of market entities, the consumption of organic food per capita and retail sales in the domestic markets. The qualitative characteristic of organic agriculture systems was reflected in constructing a set of schemes that clearly illustrate national features of the conduct methods, state regulation of production and turnover, research support, regulatory and supervisory support of the business under study. As a result, a comparative analysis of the leading world markets for organic food (USA, Germany, Canada and Austria) in comparison with the emerging market of Russia. The study is addressed to the global business community operating in the organic food market and to special research institutions.
