This study aimed to evaluate the experiences of family agriculturists who sell their products in the Covered Fair of Nova Xavantina - MT, from the different strategies used by them, their problems and prospects in relation to income generation and maintenance of families . We surveyed 14 familiar producers and 14 consumers. These numbers have not been defined by statistical criteria, which is characterized by a search combining a quantitative and qualitative approach. The instruments used for data collection consisted of questionnaires, direct observation and interviews. By this research it could be seen that the Covered Fair is an important space of conviviality, trade and consumption, however, this place is still little appreciated by the population and producers. The lack of infrastructure and the stiffness of supervision does not bring attractive to many farmers in the municipality and this is directly reflected in the marketing and purchase of products from family farms, important sector in terms of economic and social development. Thus, public policies for production, consumption and trade are essential for greater inclusion of family farmers in the municipality of Nova Xavantina and region.

This study discusses the implementation of local wisdom in the preservation of manuscripts at Universitas Indonesia’s library. The purpose of this study is to identify the implementation of local wisdom in the preservation of manuscripts in that library. This research uses a qualitative approach coupled with direct observation and structured interviews as data collection methods. The results of this study indicate that Universitas Indonesia Library has implemented local wisdom in preserving manuscripts. This can be seen from the use of local wisdom in the storage process, including the design of the rooms and storage facilities and the pattern of behavior in its storage process. The maintenance process of local wisdom includes the control of the environment using traditional approaches and the use of traditional materials in the maintenance of manuscripts. Another finding is that the process of capturing or inheriting knowledge from a previous manuscript is based on the manpower manifested in its preservation behavior. Therefore, it can be understood that the implementation of local wisdom in the process of preservation of manuscripts in UI Library is based on the preservation of knowledge from previous manuscript managers or librarians.

The focus of this study is on the resolution of objections raised by Taxpayers in the Regional Office of DGT South Jakarta I. The theory used in this study refers to the opinion of Adam Smith in his book Wealth of Nations which states that a good tax collection must fulfill equity and equality requirements, certainty , convenience of payment, and efficiency. This study uses a naturalistic and interpretive qualitative approach that focuses on the process of resolving taxpayers' objections to a tax assessment as a legal effort. Data collection is done through interviews and direct observation on the object of research. The results of interviews and observations prove that the resolution of the objections to the South Jakarta I DGT Regional Office has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the applicable tax regulations. This was also reinforced by statements made by Taxpayers who filed objections to the Regional Office of DGT South Jakarta I. The settlement of objections was also carried out to fulfill the rights and justice of the Taxpayers even though the decisions issued differed from the wishes of the Taxpayer. Settlement of objections seen from the rhythm of the work is considered effective, but when viewed from the time of completion, there are several applications that can be completed near the deadline. This is due to the large number of application files for reduction or elimination of administrative sanctions that enter, thus affecting the time to settle complaints.

This research focuses on the issue of financing family farms in Burkina Faso. To this end, a survey of 275 family farms was carried out in 2020. The research results revealed that the needs of family farms are not completely satisfied. The credits granted mainly concern small amounts. Productive investments which constitute medium and long-term investments capable of inducing significant improvements in agricultural production are almost unsatisfactory. Moreover, analyzes have shown that income determines access to credit. This factor reflects at a certain level the capacity of family farmers to provide the financial guarantees required by microfinance institutions. The current conditions of banks do not favor the development of the agricultural sector and the improvement of the living conditions of the populations in rural areas. It is, therefore, necessary to rethink the financing of agricultural activities and to define a long-lasting and sustainable financing mechanism. Keywords: Credit Accessing, Family Farming, Financing, Burkina Faso.

The objective of the article is to discuss the opportunity of family farming as a means to ensure sustainable local development in Brazil. In methodological terms, the research can be classified as qualitative and descriptive. For data collection, the research can be classified as bibliographic and documentary. The results indicate that family farming is an important source of job and income generation, contributes to gender equality and preservation of woods and forests. Therefore, it contributes to sustainable local development, considering employed people, the number of establishments, the management of the property, which is shared by the family and the presence of women is an incentive for the family to remain in agricultural activity. We also see that there are possibilities for family farming to expand its contribution to the sustainable local development of agribusiness production and organic agriculture. Finally, family farming represents a viable opportunity for sustainable local development.

Despite economic development and social improvements, millions of family farmers in Ethiopia are still struggling with food insecurity. Lack of technology adoption by family farmers is often considered as the root cause for low agricultural productivity and persistence of food insecurity. Based on a study of family farms in southwestern Ethiopia, we show the complex nexus between family farming, food insecurity, and agricultural productivity. We collected qualitative and quantitative data through 300 sample household interviews; expert interviews with elders and village chairmen, agricultural extension agents, farmers’ cooperative heads, as well as experts in NGOs, research institutes, and state agencies; and on-farm observations with in-depth interviews and discussions with individual farmers. Our findings illustrate that everyday experiences, culture, knowledge, and priorities of farmers coupled with ecological and political factors play crucial roles—and need more consideration than the classic ‘lack of technology’ theorem.
