The article examines the changes affecting the main components of university education from the standpoint of structural and role analysis and identifies possible further vectors of their development. As a source of transformations, the main factor of the information society is considered – the process of digitalization and the transformations caused by it in the communicative role structure of social relations. Universities should master the model of the educational process centered on students. The most favorable environment for mastering the new structure of relations between teachers and students is the electronic environment, which gives not only new tools for working with information, but also new patterns of interaction between teachers and students: the possibility of remote forms of interaction, leveling the status role asymmetry characteristic of full-time forms of education. The authors analyze the experience of forming an electronic environment at the St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University. The central element of such an environment is the ISU of SMTU. Other software products and digital tools used by university teachers in the educational process and optimizing it are also considered: Telegram, Trello, Mentimeter, Canva, Google Forms. The article also examines the new managerial function of the university administration related to the study and management of target audiences, analyzes the infrastructure implementing this function, and also provides the results and recommendations of an empirical sociological study devoted to the task of studying one of these audiences – applicants of St. Petersburg State Technical University in 2020.

Introduction. The socio-economic and political processes taking place in modern Russia pose new challenges to the student youth, as the most active subject of these processes. Ten years ago, it was enough for a qualified engineer to have professional knowledge, skills and abilities, but today, according to the requirements of higher education, he must have a management culture, information competence and legal literacy. The purpose of the study is to study the legal literacy of students of a technical university. Materials and methods. The materials of the study were the data of an anonymous sociological survey of 124 respondents – students of the Stupino branch of the Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th courses of full-time and part-time education by filling out Google forms. The obtained data allowed us to study the knowledge of the students of the technical university in the field of the basics of legal literacy. Results. Analysis of the data of a sociological survey of students' opinions showed that the overwhelming majority (96.5%) support the introduction of in-depth study of law enforcement practice in the educational process of a technical university. Students admitted (94.4% of respondents) that knowledge of the basics of civil, labor, tax, administrative and other branches of law will help them in their professional activities; 38.4% believe that they need additional knowledge in the field of law, while 62.9% had experience in concluding a civil contract (purchase and sale of an apartment, car, contract, delivery, provision of services, etc.), but 41.5% used the services of specialists (realtor, labor dispute commission, lawyers, etc.). Conclusion. Today, legal literacy of students determines the understanding of their role, opportunities and responsibilities in society, knowledge of their rights and obligations. Obtaining the necessary legal knowledge and skills for professional activity will allow students to independently understand the current laws, legal norms, understand them and apply them in their professional activities.

Researched is the most significant event in socio-economic, political and other spheres of life in the period of 2019–2020 COVID-19 pandemic that significantly “reshaped” principles and technologies of functioning of certain social institutions that traditionally play a stabilizing function in society. The social institute of education is one of these systems. Under the influence of the coronavirus crisis, education as a social institution has shown its strengths and weaknesses in terms of providing a stabilizing function. The dys-functionality of education is most clearly manifested in the lack of readiness of its subjects for a rapid technological transition from full-time to distance learning. The article considers the main forms of dys-functionality of education, expressed in such types of unpreparedness as technological, infrastructure, personnel, skill, and mental, and presents their characteristics and main forms of manifestation. It is concluded that, on the one hand, the coronavirus crisis was a powerful factor in the destabilization of all economic and social systems and caused their dys-functionality. On the other hand, and this was most evident for the Institute of education, it accelerated technological modernization and the rapid transition to innovative forms and technologies of education, followed by an increase in technological literacy of teachers and students, revision of methodological and didactic materials, and a change in the paradigm of managing the educational process directly in educational institutions and in General national education systems.

The article deals with the traditional game approaches that have well recommended themselves at the lessons of the Russian language, and their potential and ways of modifying into a single game space of the lesson is being discussed. Basing on personal experience, the authors of the article present the possibilities of organizing a Russian language lesson in the form of a quest. Many experts rightly paid attention to the effectiveness of using games in the learning process. Despite the attractiveness for teachers and students, until recently, game approaches as a form of education have remained on the periphery of the educational process, being just a supplement to the main methods. Only role-playing games can be called an exception, with their being included both in the educational process of school and university education, and in professional-oriented training of specialists. However, under the influence of processes in modern culture and the active development of gaming technology, the "gamification" of education acquires the character of a mass phenomenon both at school and in higher educational institutions, and ignoring these processes is not only impossible but impractical. In this regard, the article provides a scientific and methodological understanding of this form of education and identifies the structural peculiarities of the quest unlike the other game forms. The article is addressed to teachers of Russian as a foreign language and can be used as a kind of model for conducting quests in classes both in various courses on grammar, reading, writing, listening, linguistic and cultural studies, and in students' independent educational activities.
