The relevance of this article is due to the practical purpose of studying the foreign experience of taxation with a view to further use in the process of improving the Russian mechanism of the tax system. Existing differences in tax legislation in many countries allow international corporations to use a variety of ways to avoid paying enough taxes. The organization for economic cooperation and development (OECD) has been fighting such corporate tax crimes for several years, but has not always offered solutions that address the potential negative consequences for developing countries. To this end, the BEPS plan was developed in 2013 and finally adopted in 2015. It is a list of OECD measures to counteract the erosion of the tax base and the removal of multinational companies from taxation. The article considers international projects based on global monitoring the tax services of various States and current trends in the development and improvement of the tax administrating in accordance with the requirements of the BEPS plan and the digital economy. Those measures are presented in the article as a system for adapting the tax service to new ways of doing business based on the developing digital economy. At the same time, two issues of tax adaptation are solved. First, how to determine the tax presence in a given tax jurisdiction. Second, what is the role of the data and users and their dependence on intangible assets that characterize new digital business models, how and where the final product or service is created. In conclusion, the authors formulate recommendations for the organization of effective and efficient taxation of participants in the production process in the digital economy: it is necessary to secure taxpayers against unnecessary costs associated with tax administrating; the introduction of a fair approach to economic entities over a proportional tax burden; promote legal and regulatory certainty; comply with the principles of free competition in the absence of whatsoever protectionist measures on the part of the state; mitigate the impact on countries with weak economies.

Effects of digital economy on the forms and stimuli of foreign direct investment are examined. Since digitalization is becoming the underlying basis of a fundamentally new technological structure for economic processes, it shifts business models, strategies and decisions on international activity and foreign expansion. The purpose of the article is the generalization of the theoretical foundations of digitalization as a factor in the evolution of FDI and assessment of modification of their forms at the macro and macro levels. Methodological basis of the study are general scientific tools (system analysis, deduction and induction), as well as special economic methods (statistical and correlation-regression analysis). Investment strategies of digital companies and the impact of digital economy on firms in inherently non-digital industries are disclosed. The role of digitalization for global market competition and the corresponding changes in investment strategies are revealed. Digitized firms obtain competitive advantages resulting from cost effectiveness, asset-light production and organization models and agility, which entails the surge of their market power and affects their investment activity. The study argues that the extent of digital penetration in household and business use, combined with FDI into digital sector, determine the scope of digital economy, which equals the share of the domestic value added generated by digitalized firms. Such companies have digitalization influence their investment decisions and strategies, mainly in more digitalized developed economies. Exploring the elements of the sharing economy's ecosystem can help identify the challenges of globalization and lead to exploiting the sharing economy's potential more efficiently in the tourism sector. The study of the impact of the sharing economy as an ecosystem on the tourism sector is also made relevant by the lack of research examining the advantages and disadvantages of sharing economy models. To determine the impact of the sharing economy on the tourism sector, the authors analyzed the scientific literature. An empirical study of business models based on the sharing economy in the tourism sector was carried out. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages were identified of the sharing economy in the tourism sector. The authors' analysis has shown that, despite conflicting views on the impact and importance of the sharing economy in the tourism sector, many experts are optimistic about sharing economy-based models in this sector. Research by the authors of the article shows that sharing economy-based businesses are superior to traditional business models.  The sharing economy-based models are preeminent because of more affordable prices for tourists, better satisfaction of individual needs, opportunities to become part of the community, a more comprehensive range of services, better access to tourism services. A better quality of services also highlights the advantages of economy-based businesses. Although the study was conducted in the Lithuanian tourism sector, we can assume that the study data can be unified and applied to analyze similar markets in other countries.
